The digital check-in and key is not that great but we were able to get a keycard from the on site staff that overcame these issues. They were very helpful in coordinating our three sequential reservations so that we could stay in the same unit.

Great room, good temperature control, shower including shampoos, conditioners, soap, comfy bed and great pillows. The view was lovely, and the place was very clean.

The listing didn’t specify my room was on the 12th floor (maybe it is common knowledge for some people when the room is “1203”, but it wasn’t for me). I found the virtual check in to be a lot of steps, as someone with a learning difference it was difficult to navigate as it required switching between different apps for different instructions.

Overall, this place was fabulous and I’d definitely choose to stay here again

Beautiful, comfortable stay with great views

WERFY Luxury Apart-Hotel was a beautiful place to stay, especially at night — the view was my favorite part. The apartment felt very home-like and well equipped. I was pleasantly surprised to find usable dishes, cookware, and thoughtful essentials like garbage bags and dish soap, which made the stay very comfortable.

Maintenance was fast and responsive — our TV was replaced with a new one the next morning.

The only small downside was that the living room/kitchen curtains did not fully close, which limited privacy since the unit faced another building. Also, the location is a bit more Uber-reliant than staying directly in downtown or Old Montreal.

Overall, a great stay with a beautiful space and attentive service. Would definitely consider staying again.

Despite looking clean and tidy when we arrived, we noticed several concerning issues over time. The toilets had areas of brown sludge in them near the drain (not sure what that was), and several of the pillows in the king size bed had a scalp oil smell to them as though they had not been changed. After having stepped out of the shower onto the bathroom floor, I went back in the shower to retrieve something and my clean feet were dirty again from the bathroom floor and left brown footprints on the damp shower floor. In addition, the sofa bed was caved in the centre and extremely uncomfortable. Most importantly, the listing indicated that parking was available on site. However, there was in fact, no parking available and we had to park several blocks down the street and walk back-and-forth. We went into the parking lot to investigate, and there were many empty spots, including multiple with a sign saying “Griffintown hotel.” Following our stay I complained to the property owner and asked for a discount on our stay. He offered me 20% off a future stay, but I will not be taking a second chance. He asked for photos, however I did not have any so I suggested he go to the property himself and investigate. He felt I was threatening him with a poor review in exchange for a discount. In fact, I believe I was entitled to one given the lack of cleanliness. My recommendation is that if you decide to rent, take a careful look before you decide to stay overnight.

Had a decent stay here. Digital check in was easy. We met the employee who gave us a keycard since their cardless system wasn’t working. Texted them when we were on our way and then when we arrived. Took no time at all to meet them. The room itself is fine. Modern and has enough space. Nice view of the Five Roses sign. Kitchen was spotless. The tv didn’t really work though, and the bathroom has seen better days. Very bad patching jobs where the towel hook had fallen out and someone had clearly locked a dog in the bathroom at some point as there were scratch marks around the door. Mold issues as well around the shower and sink. Not the worst I’ve seen but I lived in the area and know how new that building is so that was surprising. The bed itself was a bit hard and the linens not the softest. But hey. Still slept through the night and it was quiet enough. Despite the deficiencies I’d stay here again. I love having access to a fridge to put my market buys to bring back with me and since I know the location it’s like being home.

Everything went easily. The check-in was smooth, the room clean, we found free parking around the corner and never had to drive. There is a great grocery store a couple blocks away, as well as a number of coffee shops near by. It was all great.

The couch and rug in the unit are getting tired and need a good cleaning or replacement. The building is in excellent condition and has a great city view. Parking can be a challenge even at the underground parking next door. Overall I would still come back and rent again.

The apartment was perfect for 2 people. It had a nice city view from our 8th floor. If your a light sleeper there is lots of construction noise. The location is great for catching a bus or train. No parking available at the place so parking can be an issue. When we arrived, the APP was not working to get into our room, however, having a person on sight came and resolved the issue immediately. He was very responsive to our needs and gave us some helpful hints about the city.

Would stay here again. Great location. FYI master bedroom has no door, only a curtain. Weird. Bare bones but again for location it’s worth it. Sofa is very uncomfortable. Fitted sheets would be a good idea. Otherwise bed is comfortable. No curtains so feel exposed, need to keep blinds down

This is a hotel that a company or time share have blocked rooms for rental.
The only time a person is in sight is at 4:00 pm every night, which is check-in time. The people at the desk work for the hotel & tell you, you have to call Werfy Luxury Appartments for your needs. I spilt something on the elevator & had asked the front desk for paper towels or a cloth to clean it up & they would not help me. After all, guest use their hotel also & you would think they would help you with something like that.
We arrived a couple of hours early & had to pay an extra $100 for early check-in. We sat in our car for an hour waiting for a call back or message. Then I realized that if you wanted any additional service you had to make an electronic payment thru their link before you get any response. By the time I was notified that I could get in my room it cost me $100 for an extra hour. I have stayed in plenty of hotels out of the country & have never been charged for arriving an hour or two early.
Rooms are clean & provide you with everything you have at home, except for tissues.
The location of the hotel is about a 10 minute ride to both downtown & the old port. All of the restaurants we saw in the area were mostly pizza, subs & fast food.
We spent our time in the Old City & loved the area. That is where we will stay the next time.

Filthy, Mold in Shower, Bugs on Shades

No response from management to this: This is the second time we have stayed at an apartment/hotel. Your unit is poorly managed and repulsive. 1. The bathroom sink is slow to drain. 2) While some of the shower tile is clean, alot of it is full of yellow mold. Why wouldn't you clean the grout! 3) There is black mold in the shower drain. Why wouldn't you have the drain cleaned! 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of white vinegar would clear the drain of black mold. 4) The area rug in the bedroom is filthy. Why wouldn't you clean the area rug! 5) The area rug in the living room is filthy. My daughter pointed out a dead centipede. Why wouldn't you vacuum and clean the area rug! 6) The shade in the living room is full of dead bugs. Why wouldn't you clean the shade! Again, management made no attempt to rectify this. There was simply a robo response thanking me for the feedback and indicating management would be informed.

This is a disappointment.

You should take notes from The Roost. Their apartment/hotel units are impeccably clean.

We loved staying in Griffintown and used Bixi to get around for the week. The rooms are well enough equipped. It was a bit hot (but the week was super hot) and the little AC unit tried its best. The hosts were responsive and helpful.

This place is a total scam. We booked a “city view” room through Expedia — what we got was a dirty, ground-level apartment with no view, no curtains in the living room, and zero privacy.

There were spider webs, no parking, and filthy windows. But worse — when we asked for help, no one answered for hours, their is no reception. When we finally reached the manager, he screamed at us, cursed, and told us he wouldn’t refund anything or talk to Expedia.

We felt unsafe and had to leave that night and book a new hotel.

Avoid this place at all costs. It’s all fake reviews, just a trap. I hope Expedia takes this place down, i reported them as well.

The property was in a good location, walking distance to the centre of Montreal and the old town/port. The apartment was a good size for the 2 of us, some of the furniture had seen better days, the kitchen equipment was a little complicated to use and could have used a few more implements (chopped board & bread knife for example). Had air-con which was a god send in the hot weather. Hotel reception was nothing to do with the WERFY and staff not on site but available on WhatsApp to answer questions staff met us on day of check in and gave us key cards so didn’t need to use the key facility on phone as ask to which was better. No facilities to leave baggage after check out time, late check out available but only until 2pm (cost for extra 3 hour, I thought was a little steep!)

Keyless entry did not work when I got the room at 1:30am after a long delayed flight. I couldn't get ahold of anyone at the time. I had to get an Uber and go to the Holiday Inn and pay $512 to have somewhere to sleep for 6 hours before my meeting at 9am. Once I got into the property the next day it was very nice.

Room was fabulous and the area is fantastic, walking distance to downtown Montreal. The only inconvenience is the communication, the room is handled by Werfy but it is inside the Griffinton Hotel. I feel like communication should've been handled better by Werfy, I didn't realize I had to book the parking, when asked I was told they would give me some names of parking nearby but they never did. For the check-out I had to ask at the hotel front desk how to handle the keys. Nothing that would affect my stay, still something they should work on

Comfort of the bed and living room is med, furnished with cheap furniture. Missing material to cook (cutting board, scissor, utensils, etc.), only 2 coffee pods, only 3 hangers. Rented executive for a higher price but pictures and reality are miles away. No parking space available in the building and very few on the street where people are waiting in line to park, even if I asked previously for ease of parking space at reservation. Added 25$/day to park in public parking nearby. It's downtown so expect noises (train, REM, buses, ++). Lots of coffee shops, restaurants, facilities, cycle path, close to Champlain bridge. Manager was responsive. Stayed for 8 days

The view at this property was great! The place looked modern, for the most part clean. We traveled with my husband and daughter as we knew there was an option for pull out couch. I would not recommend this room for more than 2 people. The pull out couch was awful. My daughter that barely weighs 100lbs sunk in the middle and we had to prop some pillows to make it work. The comforter from the extra bedding had some stains (I hope they were just burnt marks, but who knows) the other comforter had holes. Oher than that, communication was prompt which was great because the key app was not working for us. Everything else was great.

Last minute booking in Griffin town had many conveniences such as kitchen and laundry and allowed a comfortable night sleep. We got suite 1103 which was smaller than in the photos and faced a busy road which was noisy. The electronic key did not work reliably and there was no AC in the bedroom so I wouldn't stay here in the warm months.

The hotel is clean and has a homely feel. However, there is a lack of privacy in the living room due to the absence of curtains. At night, guests can be seen from outside, especially by residents of neighboring buildings, which can be uncomfortable, particularly for couples. Additionally, there is no in-room telephone to communicate with the reception, which can be inconvenient.

The accommodations were awesome. Full kitchen, separate bedroom, great livingroom. Perfect! Communication was tricky - not able to speak with anyone by phone. We were going to be arriving late and they do not have someone in the office on a 24h basis. If our flight arrived late, and/or it took time for our bags to arrive at baggage claim, or it took longer to get our rental car, we could have ended up locked out. The reservation and digital key doesn't tell you which room you're in. Also, all the street parking was occupied and there's no way to get into the onsite garage for the first time without seeing someone at the office first. We found these aspects stressful but everything else was great.

The location in Griffintown is great. The hotel is an apartment building converted. The room I’ll be at small, is quiet with a nice view. The Aircon unit is a bit confusing. However, it works well. The garage parking has two elevators, and staff needs to tell us clients better which lift to use. Overall, this is a great place to stay.
