What a gem! Loved the cozy eclectic style. A few things to consider is that they do prefer quiet guests. We played the digital game catchphrase until 1230 am one night as a family of four and were contacted by the owner after a guest complained. So if you are a quiet couple this is the place for you, otherwise probably not. The top floor is a decent incline so keep that in mind if you have any restrictions. I was in a boot cast with a broken foot so it was a bit of a challenge! The breakfast is amazing well priced and the best part about staying there. The staff serving breakfast are incredible. Nice place and if I travelled solo or was in a quiet couple I would book again.

Hotel room was not clean. Nobody was on site the entire duration of our stay. Communication was impossible. We tried to reach the host and couldn’t. Found out they are only I’m main building from 4-700pm, yet were not there when we tried. My husband tried phoning their emergency number on our last day as we had issues due to major weather - they did not even answer! I received a phone call at 335pm asking if they could help me - knowing we had to check out at 1100am. I explained my frustration with never being able to speak with a single staff member in the 3 nights we stayed. I explained the unanswered call and he simply stated they saw the phone number but were dealing with cancellations because of the storm. I said I understood but when you have guests staying in your small hotel who are also impacted by the storm and are trying to reach them, the current guests should be a priority. He then HUNG UP on me.
If I could rate this place a 0, I would. The location is great but the unprofessional staff and the dirty room with ZERO customer service make this place an absolute SKIP. For the price you pay, do yourself a favor and stay at a more reputable hotel. You’ll be much happier!!

The location is great. Very central and easy access to metro station and bell centre. One thing that would be helpful and make the stay more enjoyable is a chain latch on the door to patio so you could leave open at night when the room was to warm as there is no A/C. Another thing is if you fly in early there is no one there until 8.30/9am to drop your bags off. It would be helpful to post front desk hours on email where it states you you can drop your bags off if you arrive early so you can plan on arrival time to do so. Other than that we would definitely be back in the future.

There was no water to the tub or shower. We called the emergency number. Instead of sending someone to look at the issue, they said that it was a city water issue, without coming to see the problem, and said they would refund our money. Now they blame us, sending videos taken Hours after we left. Was it a city problem that was resolved? We’ll never know. And they admit that they have had this problem in the past. Terrible communication from these people. And more concern for their own inconvenience than taking care of their guests.

I stayed here randomly with my daughter for a last minute concert at the bell Centre. The minute we checked in it had a funky colorful vibe and energy. Sam greeted us and we parked directly behind the building by the entrance to our room. The room was so fun with beautiful art work and some vintage pieces. We can not wait to come back.

We lived our dtay at Auberge les Bons Matins! There.is so much character and beauty in the old buildings. The colourful artwork was stunning, and the area around the hotel fairly quiet, for such a central location. The walls are thin - e.g., you can hear your neighbours clearing their throat or blowing their nose, but the heat pump/air conditioner provides good white noise. We had a great sleep - very confy bed! The staff are friendly but professional, amd we could not have been happier. We will definitely stay here again!

This is a very unique property, has all the amenities that the big boy hotels have but they have done it in a very smart way. Couldn’t get any closer to the Subway system. We just parked our car at the available parking and there and used transit for our whole stay. Love the stay and it was just steps away from the Bell Centre where we went to a concert. We stayed here during our last visit to Montreal, a number of years ago, and it was excellent. This time around, we noticed things like the breakfast weren’t as good as the last visit but it was still fine. The fact that I offered my credit card to two different people to cover parking and breakfasts, was turned down twice, saying my card was on file and then being called repeatedly for the information, even though I had sent a message saying I would have to call once I was finished driving through northern Ontario (each day I finished driving, no one was at the desk at Bons Matins), receiving rude text messages, being threatened to have the matter escalated to Expedia, calling to take care of the payment and then receiving another threat three hours later through Expedia, has definitely left a sour taste in our mouths and we will definitely not stay at this establishment in the future.

My husband and I stayed here when we attended the Formula 1 Grand Prix. This is a rather unique place, which is a series of homes converted into accommodations.
If you have trouble climbing stairs, you may want to inquire before you book if there are any easily accessible rooms.
Our room was on the 2nd floor with 18 stairs to get to it. (As well as 8 stairs just to get into the building).
The room was comfortable and clean, and the AC was a welcome relief at the end of a long day. It was a very nice room, however the bathroom was very tiny. While using the facilities you could wash your hands while still sitting! It reminded us of the tiny washrooms often seen in England.
Our room included a microwave and mini fridge which was helpful because we purchased a few groceries to make sandwiches to take to the track.
There is also breakfast available in the main building, for an additional cost. We ate there one morning and the food was delicious, however the second time we ate there, while the eggs and waffles were good, the bacon was flavourless and paper thin. (perhaps it is normal for the region?)

I had room 502, which would be amazing for a romantic weekend - huge spa tub, charming decor, working fireplace. I was in town for a business trip, arrived about 11PM, and was out the door by 8AM, so I really didn't get to enjoy it to the full, but it worked very well for my purposes as well (comfy bed, good WiFi, convenient location.

I wasn\"t sure what to expect from the description of the hotel, but was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. It was a nice change from your typical hotel. The decor was interesting, original and well set up. The bed was comfortable for a good night's sleep. There was access to a full kitchen for our use just outside our suite. My husband and I came to relax and found the whirpool tub extremely relaxing. We loved this place and would definitely return.

The front door was hard to open. The key broke in the doors. Even when we received a new key the door still took about 2mins to open each time. Everything was covered in dust. The parking instructions were hard to follow and when we called reception for help for all of the above no one answered.

Love this place, location and parking. But the last two visits the sleeping part has been dreadful. The beds are lumpy sinking messes with nice linens. Said nothing the first time it happened but this time it was even worse. I received an upgrade but wish I had my original room cause the mattress in there was fine about 4 visits ago. Sad to say this cause I love vibe and the people who work there are very kind, but that can’t make ip for a poor nights sleep especially when you have long days ahead driving. Please Auberge update your matress fleet.

We had a super lovely stay ! The style of the auberge is very eclectic and warm and the atmosphere is the antithesis of a modern, grey boxy hotel. Super close to the metro (1 min) and easy to walk everywhere from there. Great amenities like a shared kitchen and convenient parking in the back alley (feels safer than street parking)
The only thing I’d hoped for is the big bathtub! It said we had a room with a bathtub but it was just a shower. I think we got the last available room to be honest but it was wonderful anyway. Highly recommend. Thanks for having us!

If I could give 6 stars I would. Property was in a little bit of a busy city area but was extremely quiet. Room was clean. Tub with jets worked great. Huge TV and complimentary tea on the 2nd floor. Parking lot was in the back of hotel and my car was safe for 2 nights. Less than a 1 minute walk to the train station. Stayed with my 9 yr old and we loved it.
