Nice location by a walking path. Felt safe/secure. Free parking during stay. Near bear area- don’t plan to leave food in car. Had a bit of a view of the lake from the patio. Be aware that patio is accessible to neighbors’ kids/pets since lower part is open. Front desk open until 9:30-ish. No one present later as expected.

We booked the ADA room, which was advertised as a classic room with a roll in the shower. It was supposed to hold a queen size bed. The bed was a little bigger than a full. There were no chairs in the room, just bare bones furniture. The light fixture in the room was attached to a cord that went from the light switch to the wall and down the wall to an electrical outlet. Are you kidding me? There was a refrigerator in the room, but it had a glass door and a blue light so we had to sleep with that light on all night. I don’t sleep well with light on. We checked out after the first night because this was our anniversary trip and this was not something we were expecting. We would like a refund for the following two nights.

We stayed for a night, but absolutely loved our stay. We were impressed with the view of the lake as soon as we entered our room. The hotel and the room itself were very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was kind of small with not much counter space for me to do my makeup but still manageable (not a big deal but worth noting). The restaurant on the property was delicious! We hope to be back soon.

The room and bathroom were dirty — and not just a little dusty. Visibly unclean in a way that made me uncomfortable touching surfaces. The bare minimum expectation when staying at a hotel is that the room has been properly cleaned before arrival. That was not the case here.
On top of that, the AC was not working. Being stuck in a warm, uncomfortable room when you’re paying Tahoe prices is completely unacceptable. It directly impacted our ability to sleep and relax, which is the whole point of a hotel stay.
The noise from upstairs was constant and disruptive no matter what time it was, making it even harder to get any rest.
I called the front desk multiple times to get help and not once did anyone pick up. Not once. There is no excuse for that. If you’re running a hotel, someone should always be available to assist guests dealing with legitimate complaints.
For a property in one of the most beautiful destinations in California, I don’t think I will be returning.

Very nice place to stay. Staff was very helpful. They have a nice sauna room which is free for guests. Only thing you need to be aware of is that they clean up your room very early at around 9am, if you are not up or still in the room, they might skip your room cleaning for the day.

Excellent location, love evo vibe /philosophy and good restaurant on property. Biggest downside and it’s significant is complete lack of noise insulation while you’re in room since you hear everything from rooms next door/rooms below, even with windows closed. Hope evo does noise insulation to improve this.

Was nice to have early morning free hot coffee available. Room was nice and very clean and comfortable. 1st floor patio off of the room faced the parking lot, so not that useful, but too cold when I was there anyway. Could hear evening parking lot noise (especially with the window open), but it was quiet during the night. A little tricky to actually find the hotel the first time -- drove past twice! I think the hotel sign got obscured by a large flag for some Tahoe City event. But overall a very nice stay!

The \"hotel\" is actually a motel and the room pics on the web are AI generated and make the rooms look much larger than they are. While the room pics and external photos are misleading, the rooms are very clean and current, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms have been recently updated and are a good size (especially considering that the rooms are so small) and the staff was terrific. The location is fantastic, smack in the middle of Tahoe city just across the street from \"Commons\" Beach and only a short drive from Alpine Meadows and Pallisades @ Tahoe. The only real negative that I have is that they play music in the lobby well into the evening, and if your room is in the front of the \"hotel\" you can hear the music through the walls of the room. While I liked the music that they played, I would rather not have to hear it when I am trying to sleep. All things considered, I would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed twice and likely won’t again.
The restaurant is good, a bit all over the place with the variety of the menu but good food for Tahoe.
The reason I won’t return is due to the remodel being quite surface level. For example the drain cover in the shower just looks gross. The heater is totally functional but loud, and I think a hot tub would have made more sense than a cold plunge and sauna.

Location is fantastic.
During a snow storm they don’t have plowing more than once a day, so be prepared to park on top of ice. You should have a 4wd or AWD car in the inter but other hotels do a better job clearing paths, etc around property.
The restaurant is good, a bit all over the place with the variety of the menu but good food for Tahoe.
The reason I won’t return is due to the remodel being quite surface level. For example the drain cover in the shower just looks gross. The heater is totally functional but loud, and I think a hot tub would have made more sense than a cold plunge and sauna.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Hotel and staff. The staff were nice and willing to work with us on our needs with our room. The Hotel is super convenient to all of the shops and dinning areas in the Tahoe City area. Great view of the lake and golf course. The hotel is a bit older I think, but the owners have upgraded it and remodeled it very nicely. Our bed was comfortable, the bathroom is a bit small but nice. I think with it being an older property it's a bit noisy, but sleeping was still easy, and the hotel surprisingly provided ear plugs for sleeping (which we didn't have to use). Other than that, I would stay here again.

Very convenient location, lots of walkable shops and grocery stores, winter and summer sports equipment rental shops, right in front of the Lake Tahoe, great view, the hotel has a dry sauna, outdoor firepits, which adds ambience. The gold club right next to the hotel. What I didn't like: since we were at the first floor, we can hear guests above our room walking or dropping things, it was little bit loud, the walls are not soundproof enough, even in the morning you can hear guests walking on hallways, and it was loud.
