This is a great place if you want a peaceful weekend getaway or if you are running Broken Arrow. The place is 25 minutes away from the start line and it 5 minutes away from a plaza where you can get a pizza for take away and relax in your room. I highly recommend this spot.

Overall, the condo was clean and generally well maintained, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with throughout our stay. The location was also convenient for accessing the mountain, which made getting out to ski each day straightforward.

That said, the unit itself was quite small and felt a little dated in terms of decor and furnishings. While everything was functional, it could benefit from some modernization to make the space feel more comfortable.

Unfortunately, the biggest issue during our stay was the presence of mice. Although the staff were responsive when we raised it, it was still something that negatively impacted the overall experience and ultimately affected the score I gave the property.

In summary, it’s a clean place with helpful staff and a good location, but the small size, dated interior, and especially the mouse issue made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been.

First of all the lighting in this two bedroom condo was terrible. You can't see anything in the kitchen. It's extremely dark.
Next, the fireplace didn't work
And the door leading out of the condo in the back would not lock

In the master bathroom, the exhaust fan was so loud and squeaky that it sounded like it was about to explode
The floor in the master bedroom on my side was wet from what looked like the shower from the other bathroom leaking into an under the floors so that every time I got up, I was stepping on water I would never wanna stay in this condo again

The rooms was good. A few lights were out and the people above us stomped around. They woke us every morning clomping around and opening the slider to the patio. Ski equipment most likely. Conveniently located and the shuttle picked up right outside the room.

Kitchen has everything for cooking and clean. Room has space to move around and bathrooms with proper ventilation. Washer and dryer available. Reception very friendly and responsive to my questions. Definitely is family friendly place provided games if you want to use it. Overall I find the place very enjoyable and I will recommend to anyone interested for gateway in quiet environment.

Can’t say much about the appearance. It’s an older unit but it smells pretty rancid. Carpet could probably use replacing. I’m assuming that’s where most of the foul smell is coming from. First night we stayed at this hotel, I couldn’t sleep well due to me scratching all over my body and so did my wife. Hotel also ran out of body wash. Couldn’t call someone from the reception because they were already close so nobody to call. Had to go out and bought some from the store. In the morning when my wife and I got up, we decided to book a room at a different hotel. We didn’t want to spend our mini vacation being frustrated and unhappy staying at this hotel and be uncomfortable. Management didn’t want to give us any refund when we tried asking for one thru hotels.com customer service. Please stay away from this hotel.

The property was very nice and the service at check-in was great. The unit we had was not up to par and had many broken things, dirty carpet and dirty and stained balcony furniture. Wifi only worked about 15% of the time. We were not really satisfied with the unit. The bedroom with the bunkbed in it would be great for kids, but it’s not good if you have another couple with you.

I recommend packing your own knives if you decide to cook, as I did during my stay. The kitchen knives were unsafe to use as they were rather dull, bring your own knives.
The dishwasher was full of clean dishes, which we found to be a tad annoying. All else was exceptional.

We’ve never had huge issues with anywhere we’ve stayed in Tahoe, but we stayed at 3114 Aspen & it was very dirty- spiderwebs everywhere, thick layer of dust on everything, clumps of hair stuck to toilet, carpets/floor were gross, old napkins in the couch, patio was not usable as there was a huge tarp with logs in the corner (we stayed in summer) to name a few things. It was very outdated with a dirty, hard couch that no one wanted to sit on. We looked at all the 2 bed/2 bath condos & none of the pictures were of the condo we stayed at. It was so bad that we requested to be moved- they were able to do this, but unfortunately while the new place was in better shape, we could not get it to cool down & ended up leaving late at night before our check out time the next day as all the kids were so uncomfortable they couldn’t go to sleep.
The details on Expedia were pretty misleading. We thought the condo was at the village, but both condos were a few minutes away- not a huge deal, but annoying when we thought it was right there. We also did not know the units did not have AC until after we booked the non-refundable room & the resort emailed us frequently asked questions. We did pay a resort fee, but to access any of the facilities (pickleball/tennis courts, pool, hot tub, game room, etc) you also had to pay a $10 per person/per day fee-not sure what the report fee paid for.
The staff were very nice & helpful in changing our condo, but we will not stay at this resort again.

The mice drops under the kitchen sink. Besides that the lodge was in good condition. Going places they have the shuttle service but you need to call, wait, go, do your thing, call again, wait again, return. No many choices to eat (only the one place open on the resort) otherwise need to drive somewhere, which is not convenient.

The property grounds are really amazing, the lodge in itself really good.

Staff called and setup entry via email, so we went straight to the room.
No air conditioning but July and it was a nice temperature.
Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, but not bad… tub stopper needed a scrubbing and ceiling fan vent had dust buildup.. 2 of 4 bulbs not working on bathroom… looked intentional which was a bit annoying when doing hair and makeup.
The rest of the condo looked great.

Our room was ok, but the tv stopped working while we were there and the fan in the bathroom was broken so it made a loud sound when we turned it on. There was a used hair brush under the sink, so that was pretty gross. Just for next time, please clean under the sink area. It's nice being close to all the shops, though, so I really enjoyed that!

Not what I expected from Northstar

While clean and functional, this unit needed an update. The paint was peeling, light bulbs needed replacing, rug needed to be secured so that risk of tripping was reduced etc. Wooden decking around complex needed maintenance. Ice machine door was locked and unavailable. Coffee filters didn't fit the coffee machine in room.

The property was beautiful. We didn't know what we were getting when we booked, but we got a beautiful 2 story, 2 bedroom condo, fully stocked with everything you could ever need - including coffee. (not food, of course.)
It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was much quieter than it would have been if we had stayed in the resort rooms, just a block up the road. We had full access to resort amenities, and easy parking, transportation up the hill, and a quiet place to sit by the fireplace and watch the snow fall. We definitely plan to come back again, and recommend it to our friends.

This stay was the biggest waste of money. The room was awful, the bed was SO uncomfortable, the walls were paper thin and could hear everything happening outside and above us. The cleaning people stole some of our food, the cleanliness of the room was subpar at best. My suggestion is do not waste your money, stay somewhere else!

We have been visiting North Star resort for almost 14 years. It used to be a very upscale resort. This past week we went for a three night stay at one of the Resort managed properties. Expedia shows a balcony. There was not a balcony. the WIFI did not work and Resort said just connect to a different WIFI. All we got was slow or no WIFI. Two Burners on the stove did not work. The water heater either did not work or was very small. We could not take a shower longer than t0 minutest before the hot water ran out. The bed pillows were terrible. It was like no pillow and last thing the Expedia said the bed is a queen bed and I can not swear to it but I think it was a double. It was so uncomfortable. We booked three nights and we went home after two nights. We talked to the reservation desk and they kept saying it is Expedia problem. The desk clerk seemed to have found us another room. He went to ask his manager and came back and said not there was not any rooms available with a balcony.

I recently stayed at North Star Resort, and my experience was deeply disappointing. From the moment I arrived, it was clear things were not as expected. The resort was surrounded by loud road construction, which made it difficult to get around and impossible to enjoy any peace. I had hoped for a quiet, relaxing escape, but instead, I was greeted by constant noise and disruption.

When I entered the lodging building, the common areas were in disarray. The flooring had been ripped out, leaving nails and debris everywhere. It felt unsafe and far from welcoming. Worse, when I asked the staff at reception about it, they seemed just as surprised as I was. There was no communication or warning about this construction, which made the situation even more frustrating.

In my studio, though the flooring was intact, construction materials were left under the furniture, making the room feel incomplete. It was far from the comfortable, relaxing space I had envisioned. The final blow came the next morning when workers began sanding walls and floors right outside my room, filling the air with dust. I suffered an intense allergic reaction that I’m still recovering from. Although I was eventually moved to another room, the damage was already done.

I left North Star more stressed than when I arrived. The disorganization, lack of communication, and constant disruption made this an awful experience. I cannot recommend this resort to anyone seeking relaxation or comfort.

First impression was guest parking and that was a struggle. We arrived late (11pm). Check in was smooth and staff was excellent! He instructed us to search for a space marked in green, which we could not find. We contacted the safety patrol person and he found us a place to park in the main parking area, which we did not know about. When we finally made it to the second floor of the Timber Creek Lodge, we noticed the carpet was terribly stained. As a ski resort, we recognize that it is almost impossible to keep it looking clean. Finally, we were surprised by the extra $10 fee to use the recreation area, as we already paid a resort fee. The pool and hot tubs were listed as an amenity but there was no mention of an additional fee. Otherwise, I would consider returning to the resort. The property was lovely and overall clean and comfortable.

Rooms have no air conditioning. The patio door and screen were left open prior to our check in, the thermostat was registering 92degrees in the room. Mini swamp cooler was not functioning. After 3 attempts, was able to contact customer service. They brought 2 additional fans. Achieved a decent temp by 11:00pm thanks to Mother Nature. We paid a 77 dollar resort fee, only to find out that to use the pool and facilities was an additional 10$ per guest. When requesting a late check out of 12:00pm (which was stated was an option included in the resort fee) we were told no.
Those things aside, location is great. Very cool view over the village. I would say this would be a much better stay during the winter.

Great condo. The day pass for the pool, gym, and other recreation was phenomenal. We went during the off season. While it was great there was no crowd, on the flip slide most establishments for food and entertainment were closed. That's not a reflection of the property, but more about the season. Nothing Like The Description

About 30 minutes before our check in time, I received an email with check in instructions. On the email, it also mentioned for use of amenities, there’s an extra charge of $10 per person, per day. This includes pool area and gym. When I was looking for a hotel, the description said it had a pool and gym, but didn’t mention we’d have to pay an extra fee, so that was a disappointment already. We get to our room and we unpack all of our belongings, including our groceries we just purchased only to notice the unit doesn’t have an AC, the huge sliding door in the living room didn’t have a curtain, and also didn’t lock, and the dryer wasn’t working. Which being in Tahoe, we need a dryer due to being at the lake daily. We called the front office and said they would be able to assist us in the morning. They offered us two units to look at, which one didn’t have AC and it smelled horrible. The one we chose, still didn’t have AC, but there was a curtain and doors locked at least. We had to re-pack from the night before and move to the new unit. The next day, we noticed the fridge wasn’t working which caused our food to go bad and had to buy more daily. The overall resort area is not kept up and it looks almost abandoned. We were very unsatisfied with our stay here and spent a lot of money due to groceries having to be thrown out. The description says the amenities are included, and they aren’t. It also says they have AC, which the units don’t. We will never stay here again.

Went for one night and it was not comfortable for me and my guests to say the least. There was no direction as to how to handle hot weather as we were not made aware of the no A/C in the property. The homeowner and property need to know the summers are getting really hot and make guests aware of this and be prepared with portable units and additional fans. We had 5 children with us and the temperature was 86 degrees at 930 pm. That was completely unacceptable and made our stay unenjoyable as we were only there for the night. Luckily the maintenance was able to bring out extra fans but this did not get resolved until 1030 pm. A refund or another accommodation for a later date should be in order as we are really upset about this experience.

The pictures online and what condo we were in were totally different. We were suppose to be at Timber Creek next to the Village but they put us in Aspen Grove. I had a one level booked with Expedia but we were in a 2 story which was terrible because I am handicapped and can’t do stairs. So I had to stay in my room downstairs the whole time.

The rooms are old, and the bathrooms are woefully outdated. The shower dripped all night long.

No one to help me and could not find my lodge for a long time because how confusing it was to find and almost had a heart attack. Will never stay here again!!!!! and will not recommend to friends & family.
