This hotel smells awful. We tried to stay there anyway (had a two day visit), but the air conditioning was not suitable and it was hotter inside the room than outside. They do not staff their hotel overnight, so the only solution they were willing to offer was \"open a window and deal with it until tomorrow\". We ended up leaving and going to another hotel, so did not complete our night stay. They refunded the whole night for the second night, but would only offer a 50% refund on the first night.

This is a simple hotel with all the amenities you need. In our case, we wanted to be outdoors the whole weekend, so we didn't need a fancy hotel, just a place to sleep. Be aware that if you arrive late in the evening, you will have to call a phone number to talk to an operator to check in and get your key out of a lock box.

This place is fine and it served our needs for an overnight near the ski resorts. The room is small, the ceilings are low, the walls are thin, and the staff was not overly welcoming. The continental breakfast was sufficient- although the refrigeration in the rooms and lobby was OK- so my yogurt wasn’t as cold as I normally like. I did appreciate that the Inn was close to a McDonald’s, CVS, and pizzeria. I would stay here again, but it wouldn’t be my first or second choice.

We wanted a place with close access to snow. Place is a bit dated but very clean and had comfortable beds. Water pressure of shower was good. No hairdryer (but I also didn’t ask to see if the front desk lends the out). No elevator, but not an issue for us. Close to stores and restaurants/cafes.

Worst customer service we have ever experienced. Cinthya Diaz was utterly disrespectful and dismissive when we raised concerns about not being informed that the hotel was short-staffed and that our rooms would not be serviced. We would have had absolutely no issue understanding the situation had it been communicated in a courteous and professional manner — instead, we were met with eye rolls and a complete lack of basic customer service standards. She first said it was hotel policy and when she wasn't able to point out where we could see this, she said it was because they were short staffed.
The hotel is not worth the price under any circumstances, and even less so when paired with this level of service. It is particularly disappointing that, despite speaking our language, she refused to assist us in our preferred language. This kind of experience is especially disheartening in such a wonderful community like Truckee, which deserves far better representation.
I would not recommend this hotel even as a last resort. Respect, kindness, and courtesy should always come first — and that was entirely absent here.

Forgot a hairdryer & went downstairs and the desk clerk handed me one. No problem. Close proximity to restaurants. I don’t think it was working but I did miss the espresso/latte from the coffee machine. The continental breakfast was handy too.

Did not feel safe at all spending the night. Around 10 pm a random girl tried to get into our room and tried banging on the door and claiming it to be her room. Tried to call the front desk but found the phone in the room was not working. Around 1am yelling and screaming was heard in the hallways and eventually leading to screaming outside of the inn. Kept hearing a girl cry “she took everything. She beat me…” and some guy said they would call the police. The police came, but wasn’t able to hear the conversation but I’m never staying here again and absolutely do not recommend this place. Also another note the receptionist said our room number out loud in front of other guest instead of pointing to it on the card holder. Either sketchy or not good at their job.

Basic hotel, but great for what we needed. No frills in the room...not even a hair dryer, but it was clean and again, good for our one night stay. There is a coin operated washer/dryer, which I didn't factor into our booking but after a day of skiing, that dryer was a welcomed sight. Helped me dry off all our gear quickly before the next day. Breakfast was minimal, but again enough for what we needed. My kids thought it was great with the cereal and muffins. Staff was friendly. Location is great honestly with relation to food options and CVS near by. You could walk to restaurants if the roads are bad, which gives me peace of mind when booking. Will stay there again.

Place is OK. Stayed here twice for skiing. Beds are comfortable but that's where it ends. The acoustics are horrible. Can hear everything from the hallway like kids getting up and running around at 6am. The heater is on the loud side. Staff is friendly enough. Included Breakfast is gross microwaved gas station food. No seriously. That's what it is. You have to microwave it yourself.

This room is small and way overprice, there is basically no space to hand any of your jacket, or snow clothing. The bed and pillow is extremely soft. After one night sleep, your back will hurt the next Morning. The breakfast really sucks.
They are charging over $200 per night on weekend for a motel 6 room condition.
I suggest you should try to avoid staying if you could.

Room was dusty, Room carpet has not been vacuumed/cleaned near walls. Heater/air conditioning unit coming away from wall. Area above the unit was disturbingly stained and dirty. One lamp shade was broken & off kilter. Toilet paper holder was broken and at a slant.
When we tried to check in at 5pm, there was a sign stating someone would return in 15-20 minutes. No one available to talk to on the phone to find out exactly when someone would return.
Hall carpet was dirty.
Bedding and drawers were clean. Bathroom was reasonably clean.

We come for a night to spend the weekend skiing. The staff is amazing, they are kind and helpful. Breakfast is perfect for a boost of energy before skiing, and they are constantly refilling on everything (despite very hungry skiers). Rooms are clean and comfortable for the night. We will continue to come.

The value for the price did not match. Room was very cold when I arrived, even though I informed them what time I would be checking in. There was air refresher in the room to cover the odor. Breakfast included did not have too many choices either. Little let down if you ask me.

The inn at Truckee was a great place to stay for our snowboarding trip. Location was close to the slopes and parking was free. The room was clean and comfortable though it was a chore getting to the third floor with no elevator. It did give us the opportunity to admire the view from the picture windows looking out from the stairs. There was a solid grab and go breakfast each morning which we appreciated and there was a nice coffee machine with lots of options unfortunately it was out of order more often than not apparently due to cleaning and restocking. I would stay here again but I would request a first floor room.

Great place to stay. I'm not into fancy or boujee hotels, so when i give this place 5 stars, i'm not talking about a $1000 a night gold plated Hilton hotel room. I'm going to be using the room to sleep in, and chill after a day of adventuring. This hotel checks all the boxes for that. Good location right off the 80 in west Truckee. Easy parking. Comfy beds. Mini fridge and microwave. Continental breakfast with muffins, oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches or burritos. Some fruit, coffee, cocoa. Staff is cool af. There are some good food options in walking distance. Safeway, old Truckee, and such are a few minute drive. For what i'm after, this is a great hotel.

Stayed during a busy holiday period, so not great value for price paid. But would stay again at a lower price point as its location is very convenient to downtown Truckee businesses, ski resorts, and Lake Tahoe. Clean and updated room in a dated hotel. Breakfast options was surprisingly good (although all prepackaged) and exceeded my expectations. Parking was ample, and walking distance to grocery store, which was nice. The air freshener was a little much tho.

Very convince place to stay , you can eat next to the inn , no need to drive , there McDonald’s and other restaurants, only 4 minutes drive to the Donner Park . You can play snow there with young kids, the bathrooms in the park is very clean .
The inn has 3 floors ,we can see beautiful view through our room window , the room is very warm , strong heat system.
Bathroom in our room is clean.

The beds were terrible! The curve the mattress goes into when you lay on it was incredibly unconformable and the head was actually below the level of the feet on the bed! I did respond to a text I received from the property after the first night and complained about the mattresses but no one followed up. But to be fair, the breakfast was very good and the staff were nice and friendly, location was also convenient. Just the terrible beds😞

The room and carpet were dark and dingy but the room itself was clean. They did have a good selection of breakfast goodies and the location was great. Close to stores, restaurants and campgrounds. This was a last minute booking for me so I was just happy to find a room under $300 in peak season. I would stay here again.

They allowed pets for a $40 per night charge. The rooms were comfortable, did the job.
It is about 30 mins away from Lake Tahoe, but the surrounding area is beautiful. Easy to trek along the Truckee river.

The mattress was absolutely terrible. Same with the Pillows. The bedding as a woile needs a Update. Wife and I got terrible sleep. Also there is O staff on site at night. The room above us partied all night with no one to tell them to chill it out.

The carpet was very worn and dirty in the whole place. After just walking around barefooted in the bedroom one night (after I had showered), my feet felt sticky and when I washed them (again) with the washcloth, it was brown. Gross.
The metal cover on the bathroom door jam had two nails sticking up (nailed in crooked) and I stepped on them noticing. Very sloppy work, could cause a cut on someone's feet.
The breakfast choices were pitiful. Needs improvement.
