The sofa bed was in terrible condition, broken and uncomfortable.
The pool was closed and we were not notified.
They wanted to charge for a 1-hour late check out, there was no grace period. They also would charge for losing the key.
The location is great for hiking, close to the village. I wish the hosts where more kind, the rules more flexible and upfront about what we’re not getting.

The inn it’s at the end of a beautiful alpine valley once host to the 1960 Winter Olympics. Its location is perfect if you want to explore outdoor activities in the valley or in and around the greater Truckee and Tahoe basin. Price in the off season was excellent and the room with kitchenette was perfect for our weekend stay.

Olympic Village Inn is a little gem right next to Palisades Tahoe( walking distance). Units are spacious and clean, and the property as a whole makes you feel as if you are in a European village. Multiple hot tubs to relax after the slopes, plus a heated pool and various other activities.

The room was spacious, but the initial listing didn't say that the pool was unavailable. That only was shared after the booking. Also, there were streaming TV's, but they could not be hooked up to the internet. Small things, but they do add up. Also, an additional charge (unclear) at check-in?

Hot tub was great, but not covered. That wast so convenient since it was snowing. Rooms are not renovated, but nicely decorated. Otherwise great pretty property that feels like you are in the alps. The ski storage is only open until 9 though so after hours you have to bring your ski gear back to the room.

Back for a second visit! I love the lobby coffee and the beds are super comfy. The kitchenette is always a great feature. Unfortunately, we dealt with some ants in the bathroom and kitchen this time, which was a bit unsettling. Overall a good stay, but the pest issue needs attention.

The bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water available throughout our stay. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, which made us feel well supported and secure. The only issue we encountered was that one side of the toaster was not working when we tried to use it.

Unique set up reminiscent of the 1960 Olympics when the athletes stayed in this hotel. The outside area is newly landscaped with two brand new hot tubs, which were amazing. The pool was closed for cleaning. They have a shuttle that is supposed to run every 10 minutes, but we waited for 30 one time before giving up on it and walking to the hotel -only about a 10 minute walk from Olympic village. Olympic village is adorable and Palisades ski resort was awesome. Had a weird interaction at checkout when I was told I had to give a 10 star review with the strong push that anything less would lead to them getting into trouble. No name on our lobby stored skis so I would put my own post it on them if I were you. I left my thick sweater hanging on a hook in the room, which was totally my fault, but the maid didn’t put it in the Lost and Found so I wasn’t able to claim it when I returned for it later.

The room was outdated and overly oacjed wuth furniture, making it a tught fur gor a damiky of 4 with the pullout couch. Our lication was not as great as anticipated. Although we were right next to the village, it was still a 10min treck by foot to get food or to any services.

Severely overpriced because of Valentines Day weekend — just wanted to snowboard with my son. Arcade only had Pac-Man.

Previous guest’s strands of black hair was sitting on top of the bathtub drain of the small aged bathroom. PS - don’t make the coffee.

Venetian blinds don’t have rods to turn slats - had to twist the broken tiny nubbins with fingers.

Beds and linens are basic.

Overall, the space is dated. The staff was super friendly, especially Jillian and Scott. However, my room had some sort of leak on the floor and it was damp in the bedroom when you stepped on it also, the TV in the second room was broken along with the telephone. I am looking for some sort of compensation and the supervisor was supposed to follow up on that. Please let me know how I follow up on some sort of compensation refund thank you.

Staff were not so friendly and warm except one front desk lady (long hair and blond). The heater in our living room was not working right so we were cold, also the light on the microwave couldnt be turned off. The resort was under construction so wasn’t pretty looking. No more free bikes. We still liked how close it was to palisade but there was no snow so it was a waste of trip.

We found trimmed hair in the bathtub and the place was under construction and the hotel failed to mentioned that or to emphasize it at least. The people next to us kept complaining about the food we were cooking in our room. Place overall was a 7 out of 10 though because the receptionist had our back and the surrounding area was beautiful. Another con is that every restaurant is 1 hour away and anything past 9pm is close. We had to drive to reno for canes chicken lol

The property was nice, but we were left without power for about 11 hours, our roon phone had no power and nobody was at the front desk all night. We had to shower in the dark and had no way to charge our cell phones all night. Once power was on i spoke to maintenance about how this problem could have been fixed sooner and he did not have an answer. Ive written to the hotel about this issue and have yet to receive a reply. The place was amazing and our stay would have been perfect if we had had power in our room.

Excellent family getaway

The layout of the room is bedroom, door, bathroom, door, living room. This was an amazing layout for traveling with 2 young kiddos! We also loved the pool and spa, and were so thankful for the early morning and late night hrs ♡ The grounds are under construction so it looks a bit wonky, but its kept clean and organized. The hotel was so clean and comfortable, with a great small kirchen. The proximity to Palisades Village and the Shirley Canyon hike is perfect- we never used our car the whole trip :)

A really nice luxury hotel that's inexpensive off-season. The staff are excellent.

Rooms don't have air conditioning and it takes much longer than expected to cool the room with a fan in summer. It took until about 11:30 PM for my stay. A less cheap fan would have helped. It's quiet at night so open windows are fine. Everything was clean and in good condition.

I was unable to use the pool area due to unexpected service being needed.

The stairs on one side of the building are too steep- the last step is easy to miss, my friend miss stepped n fell, I miss the step as well. The last step needs to be elongated to help avoid a potentially dangerous fall

Quick get away with the wife at the Olympic Village Inn. The property is older and currently being upgraded. However, the room was very clean and comfortable. We had a very restful stay and enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. The hotel also provided a free margarita happy hour during our stay.

Family Get Away for a Couple of Days

I was very happy with the place, and I will stay here again. The bed I slept on was beyond comfortable; I actually woke up the next day completely rested and relaxed. The room was very nice, and the location is excellent.

With all the said, the hotel is old, and they are doing a lot of remodeling. But the room (once you get inside), bathroom, staff and location make up for a few of the little nuisances which I won't even bother complaining about.

The property is surrounded by the beautiful nature. We loved the views from our balcony. We loved our room and the staff was very nice. Another cool thing was there is walking distance village that has restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back to Olympics valley in the near future
