We got an upgrade to the Rainforest Room. Managed to organise a birthday surprise for my partner - bed was so comfy and soft. Shower was great with amazing view towards the reservoir. Toilet was a bit of a letdown. Do yourself a favour and book in for a Spa treatment if you are staying there. Bliss!

we have high expectation of the banyan tree brand and have stayed in their hotels in Phuket and KL. however, the resort in Singapore, supposing HQ, was somewhat disappointing.

First the plus, the onsite staff is excellent and helpful. our rainforest room is big, nicely design, good layout and with excellent built quality.

Most disappointing are unresponsive reservation and buffet breakfast that doesn’t tally and below expectation of a with a 5 -star resort. Having booked our stay with our trusted hotels.com, some queries and requests for info sent to the hotel went unanswered and we have to waste time calling up the hotel. A few day before checking in, we were sent a long e-form through whatsapp for filling in. I must have stayed over a hundred hotels in the past 40 years but have not encountered this. While from the hotel’s point of view, it saves them time but as a customer buying service, this did not make sense - we paid for 5-star service and expect likewise. We stayed for 2-night, the breakfast is the worst of all equivalent grade hotel. While there is a wide variety and choice, the quality is poor and food lacks flavour. Examples, the bacon is paper thin and feel like eating a sheet of salt, laksa comes with 10% of oil on top, lemak curry chicken comes with thick sauce but taste like the curry powder is not fried like Japanese curry, porridge is lukewarm, etc. there is also a shortage of baby chairs.

Beautiful grounds, and nice rooms. Extremely handy for accessing all the zoo parks.
Family room well designed and the kids absolutely loved the elevated bed. Infinity pool amazing view. Downside - staff are not at the level of a luxury hotel - we had several errors and issues and staff did not go above and beyond what is expected for a luxury resort. Staff seemed overwhelmed and had no enthusiasm for their work. The best staff we came across were the hardworking cleaners.

Loved the river view from the room. The rooftop garden and pool were very nice too.

Breakfast had a good spread, and they even served prosecco, which was a nice touch.

The control panel is fixed near the entrance door, which is a bit inconvenient. I had to walk there every time to adjust the lights or AC.

Overall, the hotel offers a unique experience and we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel doesn't feel crowded even though there are a lot of guests, and the location next to the zoo is perfect for family holidays and staycations. Staff are kind, warm and patient.

This hotel is especially kid-friendly. Housekeeping even provides kid-sized toothbrushes and room slippers.

The breakfast is also superb with great buffet spread. Drinks wise -- good coffee and alcohol for the adults, and delicious chocolate milk and a chocolate fountain that wows the kids. The only small blip for our stay is that the breakfast area gets extremely packed during 9-10am. But other than that, all was great and we will certainly stay here again!

The room was spacious, there are a lot of thoughtful details, great for kids. The pool was wonderful particularly after a day of walking around wildlife parks. Great base for exploring the wildlife parks- would recommend a park a day and enjoy the hotel!

Also wish hotels would do away with acknowledging their staff based on review feedback...more confident staff push QR code cards onto you constantly, holding you up, yet the most diliigent workers humbly go about unnoticed and don't ask for thanks - you should leave your guests to acknowledge and thank good service with gratuities or personal compliments at their own discretion without asking staff to farm positive online reviews

We were greeted upon arrival by courteous hotel personnel. Check in was a breeze. Room was spacious with a gorgeous view, sustainable with complimentary water tumblers made from sugarcane. We stepped out for the Night Safari and when we got back, the blinds were drawn, lights dimmed and the scented candle was lit. Talk about taking the extra step! Breakfast was a good selection of different cuisines. Upon check out, Sophen took care of us by booking their driver to take us to Mandai West since we wanted to visit Bird Paradise. We didn't have to worry about our lugagges since she also took care of that. If you want a relaxing place to stay in, with an easy access to the Mandai zoos, this is definitely the place to book.

This hotel was truly exceptional. An easy 11/10 experience. Our room was immaculate and offered the most breathtaking view imaginable. The entire property is surrounded by lush, beautifully maintained greenery that makes you feel like you’re in the heart of a rainforest retreat. Having the zoo right next door was the perfect bonus; it was chef’s kiss in every way.
Each morning and night, we were serenaded by the natural sounds of the rainforest, which made the stay feel incredibly peaceful and immersive. The staff went above and beyond; warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Every interaction made us feel cared for.
I would return in a heartbeat. This place is a gem.

The good - unique and quality room fit-outs, tranquil views from room, lovely surrounds, good quality breakfast and the swimming Pool itself was great.

Being a fairly expensive resort option - the place could improve on - more chairs around the swimming pool (there were 10 chairs all up, and there were always guests unable to find anywhere to put their towels/belongings by the pool (lockers were available for valuables in the change rooms, which I think was the resort’s compromise). Customer Service was a bit lacklustre/unfriendly; and room service was slow - we had to wait 80 minutes for chips and had to follow up 3 times. Then just partially cancelled the order.

The hotel aesthetics is awesome. Check in was smooth thanks to Ka Woon who explained everything clearly.

The sanctuary double double was spacious for a family of 4, and the view overlooking the reservoir makes for a great photo opportunity. The resort is connected to the zoo with only 1 bus stop (free shuttle available) to the bird park. This makes visiting the park convenient as we do not need to worry about the kids fussing.

Special mention to Wichai and Joanne who welcomed us during the stay. They were very attentive and provided exceptional service.

Also thanks to James who assisted with our luggage and helped to direct our cab driver on how to get to the resort.

Although it was an ad-hoc stay for our family, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

It's a nice property in general but have a few issues. Food is below average. Room view may not be what they marketed. Glass window is dirty. No taxi and you have to pay a surcharge. The kids club and service are the bright spots. Might skip this if the price is the same as those 5 stars hotels in the city area.

Brand new hotel with Eco concept but the indications within hotel are not clear.
Room is cozy but the sound proof was poor, can hear someone walk by your door .
Breakfast not as expected , not many variety even the sausage tastes starchy. (Banyan Tree should be able to provide better sausage), free flow wine is a plus in breakfast time .
Staffs are all friendly but need to improve the knowledge of hotel environment , they gave me wrong directions 3 times from different people during my stay.
Overall experience was ok, not met the standard of Banyan Tree.

The services of the staff are exceptional, however, there are areas of disappointments such as the poor sound proofing doors (we could hear the hitting of far construction, people talking along corridor and dragging of luggages...) The so-tech appeared touch screen in room control panel hangs easily (seems like a design issue or lack of rams?) The night light (blue) of the switch is very bright and maybe there us option to off that too but i m not aware. Given this resort is rather new, it just feel insufficient thoughts were put in to create customer experience particularly this carries a banyan tree brand.

For a 1st time visit to Singapore, this was THE resort to stay in. It is away from the downtown area, which is a little of a pain if you want walkable to the main attractions, but the serene landscape and the frogs at night make for a relaxing stay. Waking up to the birds chirping was amazing. Our stay included breakfast which was amazing. Not only a wide variety of foods, but a fresh juice bar, juicer to make your own juice and a champagne bar for you to make your own mimosas. Rooms were spacious amd cleaning people were very good at turn down service and replenising/cleaning each day. There were a few issues during our stay but everything was handled in a professional manner. We had to wait to check in to our room, they brought us to the dining area to have tea while we waited. Window shade was stuck so was unable to close during our 1st night, they fixed the following day while we were at breakfast. Another thing to note is that the resort had reusable water bottles in the room to use, along with a water filling station in the room, as well as every floor. Only negative is that because the resort is so new, taxi have no idea where to go or how to get here. Overall will definitely recommend to everyone and stay again.

Enjoy my stay here in the nature, and it is easy access to the attractions like zoo, bird park, etc. But the negative part of it: heard from the staff that this hotel was officially launched in April 2925, but I already started to see wear and tear everywhere. Light bulb on top of the basin in my room was out and was not replaced which I consider this as a neglect that should be noticed before the guest pointed it out.
