Surrounding was tranquil and 50m swimming pool an advantage. Room spacious but dated and bathroom smelled. Staffs at reception were unfriendly and unhelpful. Be prepared to get your own luggage trolley to lug your bags up your rooms and vice versa; no help from staffs at all. No hospitality during our 4days stay there. Been a guest of OCC for years but recent stay was a major disappointment.

The entire establishment, in addition to offering a golf course, offers an extensive array of family activities. Our children enjoyed the fun pool, 1 of three offered (bunker and lap pool for other two) which conveniently had a Subway right at the area. Most convenient was the Fair Price market located downstairs where the shuttle was located which took us to the subway terminal (plenty of Hawker centers nearby and mall when you get off). This allowed us to go south Marina Bay Area (hotel is on north end) and downtown (blue line) to Chinatown and Little India where all tourist areas could be found at very reasonable prices ($3 USD to-fro). It took us three line connections and less than an hour to get from the hotel to Changi airport upon our departure day. With transportation being orderly and structured like in Tokyo, getting around with our family was not o my convenient but easily feasible. The hotel was truly a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the south side, offering an extensible spacious room and own private patio overlooking the golf course.

The property itself is large, the room was spacious. However the whole hotel is fairly run down and could do with a refresh. The dining options at the hotel are pretty limited (though the buffet was good). The location was good for us, close to the zoo and nature walks and Yishun mall which was a good size. Nothing is too far in Singapore.

Our room was located on the first flore and very very humid. The carpet was smelling a little. The price was good for Singapore and the our kids enjoyed the pools. We also liked having a big grocery Fairprice) onsite to buy our breakfasts there and save on restaurants costs. Free shuttle every hour to get to the closest train station is very convinient. We enjoyed our stay.

It was comfortable. Room big and great view of golf course and the reservoir lake. Could see the beautiful sunrise every morning from the room.

Location is very convenient with free parking for 2 cars, and shuttle to mrt. There's eateries at the club and very useful to have the big supermarket.

Easy to walk out to explore too.

Only wish there were parking areas with the parking Scan Code in the club area itself instead of having to walk out to the HDB estates racks so it would be more convenient to just get the anywheel or hello bikes and cycle out and in to anywhere nearby.

The room is huge but very dated.
Upon entering there is a smell, most likely due to smoking in the room by previous guests. In fact my neighbour was smoking next door and I could smell it when I opened the balcony doors.
I wouldn’t say it’s not clean but I can’t say that it is either; the carpets were stained, curtains weren’t in the best conditions, sheets look really worn out and I could go on..
The only reason you’d stay here is to get away from the bustle of the city (it’s really quiet if your neighbours aren’t noisy) or if you’re there for the golf.
The hotel is liveable.

It is wonderful hotel with an amazing view of the golf course! The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable! The check in time was advertised as 2pm but since we arrived on am early flight and got there by 9 am,the staff worked hard and got us into a room as soon as one got available. The hotel is a country club, so golf enthusiasts frequent it. Some of them start really early, so you can sometimes hear their noise. Maintenance personnel mowing the green can also be heard. We were unfortunate to be roomed near one of the restaurants, so you can hear the merrymaking of the party that booked the restaurant until 10pm that night. The club also has a mini grocery, Fair Price, that sells any possible emergency item you might've forgotten. Staff are very friendly and polite according to Asian customs and culture.

If this is 4*, they need a porter to help with luggage. They play loud music by the swimming pool outside the royal palm. The cycle hire is none existant as the cycles are not fit for purpose. Whole place need maintanance.

It was a very pleasant stay, there were ample of activities for the family inside the club, we also received a complimentary room upgrade. The only thing to note is the $15++ per hour charge for late check out, unlike other country club which we stayed in that gave complimentary late check out.

Attended a wedding ceremony on the 6th @ Peach Garden.

Overall very pleased with OCC - very spacious - staff are friendly and housekeeping very discret. Convenient with the shuttle bus service. Beautiful garden surrounding. NTUC downstairs to buy convenient goods, cateria in the bowling serves tasty food at reasonable price.
Definitely value for money ! Will be back again!

Admin was effecient to handle refund within an hour!!!! Superb!

Enjoyed our stay here. Facilities great only let down was food choice at breakfast the buffet was probs the worst choice of food for 17 sgd. not worth it all. They could make more effort to make eating at breakfast a bit more civilised with table mats etc. Felt it was too much bother for some of the staff there. Room service good but plastic cutlery. Come on !!! That's just insulting. It spoilt an otherwise lovely stay.

Near the zoo and other wildlife parks. Shuttle runs to local metro/ mall every 15 minutes till midnight. Nice supermarket on site. Pleaseant staff.

Could be a bit noisy outside the front door. Nothing outside the property within walking distance.

Very peaceful, away from the bustling city areas. Good for those travellers who prefers privacy and quiet surrounding. Can do some bowling as well. Swimming pool is around the corner. A different Singapore experience

The Orchid Country Club Hotel is in a lovely setting far removed from the hustle and bustle of Singapore City. It is obviously very popular with local people, and golfers. As Singapore expats from many years ago it quite suited us as it brought back memories, but distance from the city and the usual tourist highlights could be a problem for new visitors.
The staff were generally pleasant but the service was a bit haphazard, and at times not very professional. Some facilities were dated and shabby, for example the Vanda Terrace cafe was not up to scratch, chairs, crockery and menus were old and dirty. Although I ordered a vegetarian tofu clay hot pot, it had a prawn and Chinese sausage in it.
The room itself was quite clean and comfortable, although chairs and carpets had seen better days, the bathroom was new and modern.
There are good facilities for children here.

Rooms were spacious, but bed are very hard. Shower was good but it has mould on walls. Hskp staffs needs to be more details while cleaning guests rooms.

American breakfast was terrible, bake beans and sausage was cold, f&b staffs was very present, so as reception staffs, always smiling.

Golf Resort not hotel

This is a golf resort with some other facilities. Might be ok to play golf, but not just as a hotel (particularly if you are there for business purposes).

My room was at ground floor. It smelled of damp and it needed some TLC (renovation / improvements/ maintenance) too...

The room had a very good size and the bed was comfortable, but that was about it.

I arrived 6:30 am and was told rooms were not available till 2pm. Ended paying extra (90 dollars) to get in a room at 11am (after 13 hours flight). While waiting there was no café / bar open.

Food options were small. Breakfast was very basic (for a 4 star hotel) and it was opened at 7:30am! Nothing before that time. It was also a terrace (so open space, meaning no cooling system in a tropical country)!!!
Other fewer options were restaurants (which opened much later).

Reception is also in an open space (no aircon)...

It all seemed designed by a drunk architect.

I was giving a presentation at a venue nearby (reason why I selected that hotel). I will not go back to the hotel ever again.

Hidden paradise away from the city

Exceptional facility.- beyond our expectation. We were looking for a reasonably priced place, with a gym and somewhat close access to the MRT so we could easily get around during our stay visiting friends & attending the F1 race. Exceeded our expectations.

They provide a free shuttle every 15 min to the MRT & back. Excellent gym. Beautiful pools, a Fairprice grocery right on site & the rooms are quite large. Nice view of the golf course.

Bring golf shoes (required) if you wish to play.

Highly recommend it. Nice for a wedding as well

We spent 1 and half nights and found the Hotel very comfortable although our room was a bit musty but comfortable and spacious. The views over the golf course were lovely. The food was fine but catered more for the Asian travelers and not for the European travelers.

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the zoo. Taxi fair was $15 to the zoo. The hotel was very nice, clean and quite and is great for family stays as it has 3 great pools a super market and free bus service to the MRT every 15 minutes. The cost for this hotel is very responsible for Singapore.

Great for Personal Retreats

Tried this hotel out for a personal retreat away from the city. The location was therefore expected to be isolated. The shuttle service from Yishun MRT made it highly accessible, so no expensive cab fares necessary.

The room I received was very spacious, so no claustrophobia there. My room came with a queen bed and a sofa-bed. Desk was equipped with a reading lamp, making work at night very feasible even with a companion.

Television had HDMI slots, wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. So techies can hook up their coms and enjoy their favourite shows.

The balcony overlooking the gold course was very inviting. Warm sun in the morning made it a perfect source of fresh air, without having to leave the room. The view was definite eye opener throughout the day. In the evening, bugs might get attracted to your room lights, so beware.

Fans of swimming will love that they have 3 spacious pools, for kids, leisure swimming and proper exercising (olympic sized)

Golfers will know what to do. There's a driving range nearby.

I went there for a personal retreat, collecting my thoughts and clearing my mind. So I found it as peaceful as I hoped.

Spent 5 nights with the family of four. Quite and friendly environment, a bit distant from the city center, but that was a whole point - to enjoy quietness and a green surroundings.
There are 3 restaurants within the hotel (Chinese, Indian and mix-western type), but also a supermarket with low price items which was very handy.
Whoever is looking for a quite stay in Singapore, definitely is worth of money.
