Pretty average, gets the job done for SG transit

Pretty average stay and nothing to write home about, it's not a Hilton however surprised I paid a slightly higher rate - checked price on the the day and it seemed to be SGD 20 lower than what I paid, despite the fact I booked months earlier. Par for course for Singapore and its exorbitant accom costs - overrated in general and not Fragrance Hotel's fault. I stayed at a Sofitel, Hilton Garden Inn & flagship Hilton during the same trip so I think my average 3-star rating is generous for this hotel...

The room and bathroom were super tiny but clean.

Check-in was quite fast, but I was required to manually submit all the passport scans through a third-party system (Trevo), which I didn’t like. A quick check revealed that many hotels in Singapore are using the same system.

The main issue with 2-3 star hotels is that soundproofing is virtually nonexistent. So, if you’re young and drunk enough to fall asleep easily, you’ll be fine. But if you’re older or a light sleeper or travelling with kids, this hotel is not for you (as most of the 2-3 star hotels)

For a budget hotel, I gave it 5 Stars: It’s conveniently located right next to a bus stop. Plenty of eateries nearby & neighborhood shopping malls within a short walk away.

Manager, Jessica, was friendly along with their other staff members.

The only unpleasant experience was that my white T-shirt went missing even though it was placed atop my luggage away from the other linens. Likely that the room service lady mistakenly took it as one of their linens for cleaning. During check out, this was reported to the manager and she had submitted an email to their laundry service in hopes that they will find it and have it return back to the hotel within a few days time. After all, i’ll still be in Singapore for a few more days at another location and therefore, I can go back to the hotel for my missing T-shirt if found. Time will tell & keeping my fingers crossed.

There are so many great things about this hotel!
1. Convenient location with easy access to public transport (bus and MRT), F&B, and others (there are 2 small shopping malls opposite).
2. Room size was bigger than I expected.
3. Clean room and linens.

And the main highlight of my stay, was their front desk staff named Jessica! She has made my stay truly warm and inviting, and is so helpful as she wrote down how to get to my destinations, recommended places to eat and go to that are near the hotel and my destinations, and so much more!!

If there are any improvements, I would only say the hot water that is not so consistent throughout the usage, and for some reason there is always the small water bugs that are present in the bathroom (but very little like one or two). Not sure why the bugs are present cause the bathroom is clean and there is no smell whatsoever.

Overall, definitely coming back here and highly recommended for short and long stays!!

Check-in at 3pm was a little late. I stay for 8 nights and have to pray every morning that they remember to make up my room. After the first night, was waiting in the room for makeup service till 5pm. Then went to receptionist to request for room makeup and was told the service staff had left. They asked whether did i put a do not disturb sign, then asked whether did i put the makeup room sign......all sort to excuse. My very first time staying in hotels throughout my past 20 years travelling where the makeup room was missed by hotel. With this experience, i know now what the difference is between 2,3,4,5 star hotels.

Upon arrival before I had even said hello I was greeted with \"you can't check in till 3\". My response was that was okay I'll just sit here and wait but she continued with \"No NO No you can't, you have to leave and go outside\". We were turned out into the street like lepers. Hellhörige Zimmer in leicht abgelegener Lage

Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Fenster für zehn Nächte und da ich schon mehrfach in Singapur übernachtet habe, weiß ich was man für diese Preisklasse erwarten kann. Leider stört es mich dann, wenn die sogenannten \"low hanging fruits\" nicht erfüllt werden. Das Zimmer machte oberflächlich einen sauberen Eindruck, aber bei genauerem hinschauen wurde ich dann doch eines anderen belehrt. Haare und leichter Dreck in allen Ecken und auch nach mehreren Nächten wurde dies nicht besser. Das Wasser wurde nur lauwarm und war meist eher kalt, etwas das mich nicht störte da ich am Abend gerne eine kalte Dusche nach einem Tag in dieser Hitze nehme. Die Dusche ist sehr klein und man steht beim Duschen über der Toilette, der Boden bleibt nass und rutschig falls man später wieder reingeht. Größere Probleme hatte ich mit der Hellhörigkeit der Zimmer. Leider hatte ich während eines Haupteiles meines Aufenthaltes jemanden auf dem Stockwerk der sich nicht darum kümmerte. Das Hotel kann dafür zwar nur sehr indirekt etwas. Aber für Leute mit leichtem Schlaf wird es hier Probleme geben. Das gute zum Schluss: Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich. Die Handtücher waren immer sauber. Die Lage ist OK, aber nicht perfekt. Busstation vor der Haustür, zur Metro mit Einkaufszentrum ca.15 Minuten schnellen Ganges. Food-Hawker oder auch Starbucks und McDonalds gleich ums Eck. Der Preis ist günstig und für einen kurzen Aufenthalt als Solo-Reisender würde ich dieses Hotel wieder buchen, sonst eher nicht.

There were compromises like a small closet good for hanging just three articles, a towel hanger not big enough for two, etc. But it makes up for these by being in a convenient location with eateries and shops nearby, a bus stop in front of the hotel, etc. The staff are also very, very friendly and willing to help.

I think it would’ve been a nice place but to be warned. If you booked though Hotels.com and can’t make it to the hotel, you will lose all and can’t rescheduled or refund in any part. I missed my flight and arrived a couple days late. Can’t get any discount or even one night rescheduled even I told them before the booking dates.

I stayed for 2 nights. I booked separately by mistake and found that I booked different rooms each day. The first day was room with no-window and the second day was room with windows.
Reception told us with very rude attitude and playing phone that we booked the same room type and they even don't have the room type I supposed to book for. But talking for a while, they found it and moved to another room the second day.
While this conversation, the receptionist was so rude and not helpful at all. The room was too small. It wasn't worth for this price.

Very convenient location to get to the city centre. The bus stop is just right outside the hotel where you can get bus 131 or 121 to Novena MRT station. Lots of different local food stalls and fruits market nearby within walking distance.

The hotel staff is very helpful and quick to attend to matters mentioned. The receptionist staff, Marc, Farhana, Anna and Benny are polite and professional in their duty in ensuring the guests are alright during their stay the hotel. Though the room is small, it is clean.

We are very pleased that the hotel is flexible in allowing the guests to store the luggage for free at the premises after checking out while awaiting to leave at the time convenient to them.

Transit Hotel – I only stayed in the room about an hour. I was just using it as a transit hotel for the day, but I wound up going out sightseeing all day. When I got to the hotel I just showered and headed to the airport. The receptionist at the front desk was friendly and check-in was easy. The room was small, dark and showing its age, but the linens were clean. There was not enough lighting in this room for it not to have a window.

I have stayed at two other Fragrance branches and had a good experience, which made me even more disappointed with the Oasis. I know it is a budget hotel chain and rooms will be basic, but I still expect them to be clean and well-maintained. The first room I was assigned, 105 on ground floor, was covered in mould all over the ceiling, plug sockets and vents were coming away from the walls and everything was damp. The next day I was moved to another room upstairs which was much nicer but still had visible mould in corners and the shower was damaged. WiFi is also very slow. Staff did act promptly in responding to my comments and moving me, but I’d expect a hotel in Singapore to have higher standards of maintenance than this. Stay at the Fragrance Emerald instead if you can!

This is a decent place to stay when you will be out a lot and just returning to hotel to sleep or rest. It is very basic. Not as small as some rooms can be in Singapore, but it is small if you aren't used to that. The plus is a large window, so it doesn't feel claustrophobic. The staff were nice and helpful with my luggage and calling a taxi. Area is older, but you can still find convenience stores, bus stops, and good food. Also, it has a wet bath for those who may not be used to that.

The room we were handed a key to was horrible. Mould everywhere and the smell was horrific. No window. I think I would have felt more welcome in a prison cell. Staff was short and made me feel like a nuisance. We left as soon as we booked a new hotel. Description and pictures on website do not match.

I checked in late in the evening and there's only a tiny room with no window available; the room was clean, however. The staffs pleasantly moved me to a lovely and more comfortable room with a window the next day.

There're different kind of eateries, 7/11 and a supermarket within walking distances. A bus stop just off the hotel.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and would recommend it to travelers who look for a comfortable and clean budget place to stay.

Wasn't happy with the room size at all. Having 4 bags it was very very hard to open anything there at all! Good thing was suprisingly very clean but major downside was it was so small my husband or me could barely move around from one side of the bed to other! Bathroom structure is so bad that you literally cannot shower without wetting the toilet!

We had stayed previously at Fragrance Emerald and had a great stay with a good full bathroom. We booked oasis this time for two nights in a superior room for $134.NZ we arrived in Singapore a day early at 4.00am my mistake, the lady at reception said we could have a room for $90sd. When I complained about the price she said we could go off to McDonald's till 7.30 and she could then let us have the room for $50 which is what we did . She also advised us we would have to stay in that room for our whole stay , with no window and twin beds. We arrived back at reception and a man was now at the front desk I complained to him how we booked a superior room (with a window) He said the next day he would move us over the road to the fragrance classic .Our new room had a queen bed hard up against the wall and a bathroom wet room so when you shower the whole bathroom gets wet . Our caravan has a better bathroom than this place . we have traveling for ten weeks and stayed in Hotels the whole time this was the worst, but it was clean

Value Accommodation with Funky Shower

Basic budget hotel with good value for Singapore. Closest MRT station is Novena and a taxi costs about 5-6 SGD. Check-in was fairly quick but not welcoming. \"Do you have a reservation\", but didn't say \"Welcome\". Room was clean, bed was acceptable, but bathroom was a pain. Very small and the whole bathroom serves as a shower. Damp toilet paper and tracking water around the room were irritating. Close to some good restaurants. Bus stops right next to hotel.
