Nice room in a nice hotel.

Nice room in a nice hotel, if a bit on the small side. Plenty to do in the neighborhood and not far from other worthwhile areas, either on foot or by public transport. Overall, not a bad stay and value for money.

Basic hotel but quite unclean. Similar to other reviews here - room is small, bathroom smells and has damp damage, small ants around, shower makes the whole room wet.
Overall stay was ok but nothing special. Hotel needs a big update but owners don’t clearly care.
Only saving grace was the staff on reception were fantastically helpful and very nice. Super accommodating and the best thing about the stay.

It’s quite nice but expensive it’s two star hotel, staff is good cleaning is good they try to provided basic stuff in room but room was small and washroom was too small ,
I was sleeping and checked out late only 30 minutes and I payed 10$ extra: it’s good but expensive no waiting area there

The room was smell like urine whenwe enter.
It was awful. We have to turn on the tap to get rid of smell.
The bed was very itchy.
They need to freshen the room and linen before the guest arrive.
The staff was unfriendly. Instead of looking on their phone. They should always greet the guest when they come in and say hello and goodbye when they leave the premises.

Very small rooms, but good to stay if you are there only to travel, I have found that bedsheets are not changed frequently, and under the bedsheet mattress cover are never cleaned, while i asked for to change my bedsheet bit i had to changed it myself and i found lots of hairs and stains on mattress cover, that means it’s never cleaned. Many times ammenities were not replaced and rest of the things were fine during the stay

The pillows was not so comfortable and the shower did not have any hand soap to sanitise the hands after washing hands.

Air Con took a long time to cool the room. The TV signal is sometimes slow and unable to enjoy the TV shows.

Like to stay here next month but the twin single are all book out. Quite disappointed as I recommened to my family for a short holdiay in Singapore. Other than this all is well.

There was nothing much to like about this hotel.. The room was small, the toilet was smaller. TV is fixed high up on the wall and can’t watch comfortably. The writing table was so tiny it’s not functional. Daily cleaning was solely limited to bedsheet changing and tea/coffee refilling.

Room is small. The toilet and shower room is not cleaned daily by the housekeeper. Water need to be requested. Toilet paper also need to be requested. No facial tissue provided in the room. The price is not cheap for a 3 star hotel.

This place is spotless! Super sweet staff and easy check in and check out! Gave us waters everyday. The room are small but we just pushed the bed against the window to make more room! We are backpack travelers so it was perfect for us. Good walking distance to the bus route and local dining!

We had a fantastic stay. The hotel is 15 minutes drive from almost everywhere and there are food options and a supermarket at walking distance. We loved that the reception was open 24 hours, the kind staff, and how each day our room was squeaky clean with fresh towels, fresh bedwear and new shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes and bottles of water. We also appreciated having free wifi and aircon.
On the bad side, we can only say we wish the room had windows and cupboards, but since we were out early and back late, that was not an issue for us. Thank you Expedia and Value Hotel Nice!

Prominently located along the main road.

The hotel is nice, clean, location also quite good. Issue is the size of the room. Really really tiny. Though the desk clerk was kind enough to shift us to the ground floor one which was a bit bigger but had no windows. It was still a challenge for 2 people to stay in.

Many eateries around even open in wee hours. Great street watching over the window over a cup of tea and a book in hands when sitting on the raised platform. Since it is budget hotel, do not expect all corners to be spark and clean especially the raised platform. Not ideal for travellers with huge trolley luggage but better space for backpack. A little over do on the air freshener in the hotel

Night shift staff need to be conduct

I stayed with late arrival at 3 am for single traveller. Upon checked in everything was smoothly until the staff reconfirmed the booking detail, by asked me how many person would like to stay, then I informed them again for single stay. However they told me that if I have accompany your partner to stay, please bring him to register as well. What did they mean for single traveller?

Cons - You get what you pay for. Small room and bathroom is not what it is shown on the hotel website. Found several hairs on floor in the bathroom on arrival.

Once is enough...

The superior room was small with no space to move about, given a queen size bed and a side table right next to the bed. It was of course, nothing like what was seen on the pictures. The use of mirrors all over the room did not give the magnifying effect to the cramped space. The room reeked of cigarette smoke upon entering and stench remained throughout our one day stay. There were hooks on the wall for clothes but nowhere else to leave our bags except on the sticky floor. Overall, a couple of hours in this room for a rendezvous is probably more tolerable than an overnight stay. Quite an experience but no reason to repeat.

We reserve 2 rooms, 1 room smells cigaratte so much. We asked for change room, but also smell cigarette.

But overall, staff is nice and very helpful. They provide free shuttle to nearest MRT. There is bus stop infront of hotel.

Value Hotel Nice (Balestier)

Upon entry into the room, I found a ball of used tissue paper on the floor, along with a used cotton bud in the corner of the room. The room was much smaller than what was shown in the pictures. Even the stool for the dresser could not be used since the bed obstructed it from being pulled out. The photos which were shown on Expedia's website were probably taken from another Value Hotel by mistake (since there are 3 Value Hotels on Balestier). Although there is a no-smoking policy in the hotel, neither the signs nor the staff can prevent guests from smoking. Due to the smoker/smokers on my floor and the poor ventilation system, my room ended up stinking of cigarette smoke. It may be called \"Value\" hotel, but it certainly isn't value for money. You definitely get what you pay for at value hotel, which is about the lowest price and lowest quality. An additional $10 per night could easily find you a much better hotel which offers value for money instead.
