The interior, shower, and faucet were a bit old and rough, so I didn't take a bath or sleep in the bedding. It's 2025. I wish they had done a bit more advanced renovation. The staff was very friendly!

Polite Staffs. Room is clean, however small.
There was a change of plans for my accomodation and I have to check out earlier. They are able to refund the difference with minimum hassle. Great service.

If it wasn’t for those that work at the front desk this would get negative stars. Raymond & his colleagues are amazing & that is the type of customer service you should provide. As far as the room, it could use plenty of updating & better cleaning. Very old looking & very small. There are a bunch of tiny bugs that crawl all through the room & they are aware stating it may be because of rainy season.

On top of that my flight was delayed by a day due to the weather where I was coming from. They refused to refund me for 1 night even though the change of plans was out of my control & I still stayed for the rest of my stay! Regardless of policy they have the ability to make exceptions & this should have been one of them. I had no control over my flight change. Refunding me would have helped me a whole lot more than it would have hurt them. I would never recommend this hotel nor stay here again. Poor service coming from the backend but thank you to those on the frontlines dealing with all of the drama that the company does not handle properly.

Due to no window, there is a very strong foul smell inside the room. Make me uncomfortable. The bed is terrible too. Definitely there is better choice elsewhere. No house keeping, i was told it was a busy day, around evening time then my room will be tidy. Speechless...

I had a comfortable stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a ground floor room without windows which suited my needs as I was on a stop over so I was able to rest ,may not suit everyone.the hotel is in a good location, across the road from a hawker centre.

good for a budget hotel

as a budget hotel, the facilities are not bad. don't expect much- especially the space. but if you want something on the lower end, this hotel is not bad. it is about a 15 minutes walk to Novena Station MRT. just consider that if you plan on leaving the hotel in the middle of the day

Small low budget hotel that's over priced

The hotel was not nice at all and nor was the staff. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The place is Very small. From the reception area, to the halls to the rooms. The total size of the room was 8x8. You walked in the door and the bed was right there. The shower, sink and closet are in the same small area so when you take a shower the toilet paper, toilet and sink get wet because it's all inside of the shower, I kid you not. They didn't even have wash clothes and they leave your small dry towels on the bed because the bathroom is soo small. We pulled back the covers on the bed, and there were strands of hair in the bed, it grossed me out! We checked in at 2 pm, and checked out at 10 pm, the same day.

Basic and cheap hotel

Very basic hotel. Suitable for short stay if on a budget. Covered by bus route but nearest mrt about 20 mins walk away in Novena. Lots of eating outlets nearby. Room clean, but small and very basic. Walls very thin and can hear conversation from next door clearly. Friendly and helpful staff.

Nice small hotel / good area / food

We have stayed at the Fragrance hotels before..........This location is nice, clean, and a great food court directly across the the street. Although not close to the MRT, one short bus ride on the #21 or #131 bus puts you at the Novena MRT and Square 2 shopping complex, also the Medical centers. Room was nice a clean, bed comfortable, shower hot, good window exposure and excellent wfyi. Air con was fine. No complaints and the staff were all very helpful.

So it is not the Fullerton or the Sands, but if your looking for budget accommodations in Singapore, I would recommend it. Good for Senior, couples, short stays or younger business people. Not really a kids type hotel.

Not a very \"clean\" hotel

The location of the hotel is good, very near to eating places.
Unfortunately, the room was too small for a double bed. There is quite a number of ants in the room
And the hotel takes in hourly rate guests which you know for \"certain kind of purpose\".
Not recommended! I will not stay in this hotel again

The room was small and uncomfortable. It is purely a bed space and there is barely space for moving slightly about in the room. Cleanliness is ok and the only thing good about this hotel is its location and the availability of food near the hotel. Overall our stay was ok but it would have been better if not for the small room.

I stayed 2 nights. it is value for money. I check out and kept my suitcase till night until u left to the airport. Before I left to airport I wanted to have a quick wash and they gave permission to use a bathroom. thanks for it. But they refused to give me a towel and therefore I couldn't gave a wash . ( event hough I agree to pay some money). therefore I suggest you start a service to give a towel and other things for a nominal fee so peple can feared before they leave to airport.

Hazzle-free accommodation

Fast and easy check-in, no fuss. Booked online. The place is accessible to bus and places to eat-great location. Has a 7-Eleven store beside it. The staff are kind and accommodating. The place is clean. Will stay there again when I visit Singapore in the future. We've stayed there in October 2014.

Best Budget hotel in Singapore

For a budget hotel, this is quite ok for me. Its convenience to go anywhere, by bus, MRT or taxi. Also there is the famous Boon Tong Kee chicken rice within walking distance and NTUC supermart, hawker centres, convenient stores. It would be nice if the hotel can provide a double deck table for putting personal items. Overall my stay have been pleasant and the service staff are excellent.

Good for a Night

This hotel was clean and in a great location. The room was quite small so it was fine for one night with no baggage but it might be a tight squeeze if you are travelling with a lot. The bed was a bit loud and the mattress had plastic covering. The neighborhood is nice there are lots of place to eat including a wonderful covered food market across the street and McDonald's just down the road. The staff were helpful but check-in seemed a bit slow. Check out was fine. The hotel is about 20-25 minutes from Changi Airport late at night and on the weekend.

Cheap clean hotel but TINY rooms and wet bathroom

As other reviewers have said, the room is tiny. I have stayed at both the Fragrance Classic and Oasis (accross the road), and the room in the Classic was slightly smaller than the Oasis room. There was about a foot extra room around the bed in the other hotel, the Fragrance Classic. There was no hangers in the Fragrance Classic room, and no cupboard or drawers for clothes. There is very little room to put luggage on the floor - as there is only the small gap at the end of the bed.

The bathroom was clean, but small, and the shower head is over the toilet, without a shower curtain, so the toilet gets wet after a shower.

Poor service - no free wifi - better hotels nearby

Doesn't compare favorably to many of the hotels in the area. Very noisy at night. The many \"short love\" couples and hotel employees talking loud via walkie-talkies will give you a hard time to sleep. Have also to pay extra for the wifi. Won't go there again.

Ok for this price !

Ok ! For this price in Singapore overall is reasonable ! Only thing the toilet drain hole have tiny insects and ants flying/crawling around when its dry! This not human error so sorry for this comment!
