The Best Western Hotel Trier is located in the city center of Germany's oldest city. The freeway in the direction of Saarbrücken and Luxembourg City as well as Luxembourg Airport can be reached in a few minutes.
The Rheinisches Landesmuseum is just a few minutes' walk away. 'Porta Nigra', the ancient roman gateway and landmark of Trier, 'Kaiserthermen' or the 'Römerbrücke' are not far away and offer the opportunity to begin exploring the more than 2000-year history of the city of Trier.
A bus stop is right next to the hotel. The departing buses take you during the week every 10 minutes, and at the weekend in the quarter or half-hourly clock, to Porta Nigra, Central Station or with a transfer to the 'Zurlaubener Ufer', where you can start a tour of the Moselle or have a nice dinner in one of the many restaurants there.

Parking was $12 euros a day. Walking distance to grocery stores and all attractions within a km. No fridge that would have made it a perfect experience. The fan was ok but no real air conditioning was hot at night. Bath tub was a nice surprise!

We came to Trier for the Christmas market and to visit the Roman sites. The hotel was ideally placed for both. There's no restaurant but the hotel buffet breakfast was excellent and catered well for a gluten intolerance. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Parking in the underground carpark was fine if a little tight to navigate in a bigger car. The staff were excellent and helpful. They spoke perfect English but humoured our schoolboy German! All round good.

Hotel was filled with several bus tours making it difficult to use the elevators, lobby and breakfast area. Parking was easy and cheap. Room was okay, clean, had opening windows and an AC. The bathroom was a surprise. The shower tub combo had a massive rain head shower with great water pressue, which was nice after our long day of touring. Breakfast was pricey.

The best thing about this hotel was its close proximity to the old town shopping. Just steps away.
No mini fridge in the room, no ice machine. Had to sleep with the window wide open just to get some cool air.
The charging station did not work with my phone. Thankfully, the receptionist gave us an adapter to ensure we could charge our phones. But only one at a time.

Great friendly help at the desk, immaculately clean and comfy room albeit the shower fitting was a bit challenging. We like a window open and there as a bit too much vocal street noise, but hey, Christmas Market time.

I was on the 4th floor and it is very noisy: we can hear people opening their doors as if we were in the corridor! I could also hear the alarm clock of my neighbour.

After a terrible experience with Ricks City Hotel 2, including rat feces on their \"clean\" sheets, we had to hurriedly book this one. What a change! Amazing service at the counter, clean and warm rooms, and a fantastic, clean bed. We loved it! The young men working at reception are incredible hosts and will do the impossible to make you feel at home. I will never staty anyhere else but there.

We booked the hotel for the free WiFi as we would need it for genealogical research while in Trier. WiFi went out at 10:30 pm on first day of our stay, was out all of the 2nd day, and finally came back in the evening of the 3rd day. This ruined our plan. Hotel was apologetic and comped our breakfast. My wife had asked if breakfast was included and was told “Yes”, but on checkout we were told “No” and they wanted to charge us for it.

Het hotel ligt wel aan een vrij drukke baan, maar met de ramen gesloten merk je daar nauwelijks iets van. ’s Avonds wordt het bovendien rustiger, wat het verblijf aangenamer maakt.
Bij aankomst werden we vriendelijk ontvangen aan de balie, wat meteen een goede eerste indruk gaf. Helaas was onze ervaring met het keukenpersoneel minder positief. Ze kwamen niet erg vriendelijk over en hoewel ze aangaven zaken aan te vullen wanneer je ernaar vroeg, gebeurde dat niet altijd effectief.
De kamer leek op het eerste zicht in orde en de badkamer was zeer netjes, wat zeker een pluspunt is. Toch zijn er duidelijke tekenen dat een opfrissing nodig is. Het bedmeubel en de nachtkastjes zijn aan vervanging toe en het meubilair oogt in het algemeen verouderd. Ook de netheid liet bij nader inzien te wensen over: op de muren waren overal vlekken en strepen zichtbaar, wat een slordige indruk gaf.
Het bed zelf was eerder gemiddeld qua comfort. Soms voelde je de veren door de matras, wat het slaapcomfort verminderde. Het kussen was naar mijn gevoel te zacht, al is dat natuurlijk persoonlijk.
