Nobody in the lobby at 2:45 in the morning when we went down to get sodas. Helped ourselves to Cokes in the lobby fridge but could not find anyone to charge them to our room.

Breakfast was excellent. Valet was quick and easy. Early check-in at 9:45 a.m. - that was very nice.

The hotel was nice but the biggest negative was the elevator was broken and we were on the 4th floor. We stayed for one night in June and the weather was in the 80's and humid. Climbing up 4 flights of stairs in the muggy stairwell to our hotel room was not pleasant. The front desk didn't offer any help to have our 3 HEAVY suitcases carried. They apologized for the inconvenience though, nice right? The room itself was nice and the bed was comfy. Bathrooms were clean. We asked for an early wake up call but that never happened too.
The breakfast was okay. Everything was primarily starch. The grits were undercooked. There were some scrambled eggs and sausage, but it wasn't very appealing. They did have a waffle maker, which is always fun. They offer valet parking, that was a bit pricey. Tip - if you have a car and get there early enough, there is a public parking garage across the street, where you can park overnight at no additional cost. Much cheaper! That was the best deal out of our short visit. The location is convenient to the river front and can walk to most spots.
The elevator was fixed by next morning. I don't know if I would stay here again. I know you can't control the elevators breaking down but there wasn't much they could do for us since we booked through Expedia.

The Hampton in Savannah is five stars all around. First, you cannot beat the location on Bay Street. It is nearby to everything that we were hoping to see on our trip. Second, the rooftop pool was an incredible amenity. Surprisingly it was never crowded and really felt like it was almost our own private pool. And third, the free breakfast buffet is such a plus in a city where meals can be expensive. There were plenty of options at the buffet to keep everyone happy.

Another huge plus for the hotel was the staff. They live up the reputation of having that \"Southern Hospitality\" by greeting you every time you return to the building and wishing you a nice day every time you leave. It's a small touch that truly makes a difference.

I stayed four nights with three teenagers and everyone enjoyed the experience.

Enjoyed our stay in Savannah. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Shout out to Miguel who works valet. He goes out of his way to point out the ins and outs of Savannah. Highly recommend this hotel in historic downtown.

Overall the stay was good. The only issue I had was the air conditioning unit in the room. While I get that condensation happens, the unit created a puddle beneath it approximately 3 feet in diameter. This caused the room to be extremely humid which made the room, bed, clothes, etc feel damp. I informed the front desk when I arrived at the property, nothing was done. I advised maintenance directly, nothing was done. So I had to deal with that for the week I was there. Other than that, the property was conveniently located, the breakfast was good, and the staff was nice.

The floor definitely needed to be vacuumed as there was hair and snacks on the floor when we walked in and bathroom wasn’t very clean either. Other than that, our stay was great. Very neat hotel!

Our valet Miguel was absolutely fantastic! He knew our every need and he was so very thoughtful! Saturday morning, 6/06/2026, one of the elevators was out of service. That evening upon our return to the hotel Both elevators were out of service! Our room was on the seventh floor. I’ve just recently had both knees replaced so I was unable to take the stairs up to my room. There were about 10 other guests already in the lobby, including a woman in a wheelchair. We were told that the technician was on his way but about an hour and a half away. We waited and waited. Three and a half hours later, still no technician came. The woman behind the desk seemed to frantically try to get it taken care of but to no avail. Around 11pm we were told he was “burnt out and wouldn’t be coming until 7am. We were never offered water, something to eat, a pillow maybe, nothing! We even tried calling corporate but it didn’t work. Finally, out of the blue, the technician showed up, complaining the entire time. He managed to fix it in less than 5 minutes! Needless to say, we were very unhappy! My legs were extremely swollen and I ended up getting sick. Quite the horrible experience. We were compensated, but I thought you should know what happened.

We stay in this hotel every year during travel. Used to like it and always came back.
This time we were disappointed.
The room was dirty. There were lots of hair all over the floor, in the bathroom and even the bed sheets.
They don’t seem to vacuum the floors.
The hotel needs to spend more resources on cleaning.

This is a great location, central to thr riverfront/historic area. We could easily walk to Forsyth Square (about 15-18 minutes) or River Street (3-4 minutes). The beds were comfy, the property was clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed that we could bring our dog with us! Breakfast was good and there was plenty of space for everyone to eat.

First, don’t pay their overpriced valet parking for $48 ($78 if you have a larger vehicle) a day when the city garage is next door for $20 a day. Second, we had numerous issues with our room including: the smoke detector battery alarm going off several days, no body wash, no toilet paper, the local tv not working, the elevators were very hot, the shower drain being clogged, and having to request to have our room cleaned once during our 4 nights. This was my first time staying at a Hilton owned facility, and overall I was not impressed at all. The breakfast was decent and the location was great, but the service and facility needs improved.

Great location, great rooftop view from pool area, helpful to buy tickets on site for bus tour, good valet service - however, likely because we did not book directly through hotel - we were placed in a room with a window mostly hidden by a large noisy air conditioner - somewhat OK as we could only view a dirty alley. At 600 am we were awoken to very loud, continuous banging of garbage pick up trucks outside our window despite being on 7th floor. Great place but make sure you ask for a room on the street side - even as busy as that may be.

Really ideal spot for visiting Savannah and so close to River Street. The room was beautiful and huge very comfortable bed. Good large breakfast for an included one and the valet was perfect too. Very friendly staff. Only comment I’d add and it’s a really insignificant one is the iron and ironing board in my room specifically were on their last legs- hot iron falling off because the board legs were so wonky. Easy fix to replace them.

You could find cheaper parking off site, but we went for the no-hassle option and even at $48/night we thought it was worth it. Classy hotel pretty much in the middle of everything. We stayed three nights and would go back again.

This Hampton Inn is EXCELLENT! Wonderful location within walking distance to the riverfront and city market. Both areas are great for shopping, dining and entertainment. Every staff member we encountered was polite and cheery. The two breakfast ladies on April 13th and 14th
were exceptional! They kept everything well-stocked and clean. The breakfast was delicious!
The valet parking is a nice amenity even though it is an extra daily charge. Attendant was great!

I’m not happy with the condition of the bed. NOT BAD BUGS. But I did find a one live and one dead bug in the bed and the mattress car was covered with hair. I asked for a clean bedding and they were quick too . There was no conditioner in the shower. Facing E. Bay St. in Savannah on the third floor wasn’t very noisy. The breakfast was very good though.

Very nice hotel with modern upgraded features in rooms. Great location for walking and exploring the historic district. The valet parking was nice but excessively expensive. Public parking at half the cost is very close. Need to provide better towels...ours were worn, frayed and rough. Free breakfast was very basic, disappointing. We stayed 3 nights amd would recommend for location and cleanliness.

The room was okay. The hotel's policy is to service a room only every third day. Since our stay was 5 nights, that meant that the room would only be serviced once. I had to request additional servicing and additional towels. Was not told of this at check-in. Also breakfast hours had changed to 6 to 9 a.m. instead of to 10 a.m. 7 days a week. Found out when I went to breakfast at 9:10 am the day after I arrived. On the plus side, the hotel is walking distance to many restaurants and historic buildings.

We had no hot water, and although the hotel staff was courteous, I never heard a single apology, all I wanted to hear was ‘I’m sorry, we will get maintenance there as soon as possible, what can we do to make your stay more comfortable?’ And I am also polite, I do not get angry, I know the staff is not responsible for the water, but they are responsible for the guests comfort.

Room was okay but the first room we had the heater or thermostat stopped working correctly on the third day and the room was around 80f the entire night after I reported it and the were to send someone to look at it while we were out. Ended up getting a new room the next morning, which made up for that. The showers had warm water but never hot in either room. Courteous staff though

The valet damaged our vehicle and have refused to take responsibility for the damage. None of the valets had visible name tags due to the cold weather. They should all be required to wear it on their jackets as well since we dealt with at least 3 valets from the time we arrived at the property. When we leaving the morning of 12/23/25 and discovered the damage , it was pointed out to the valet attendant and he took multiple pictures of the damage and stated the manager would contact us in an hour which never happened. We had to call the hotel the next day and wait for a phone call back. On 12/24/25 , Darnell Thomas called us back and claimed he was unaware of the incident and needed photos of the damage and he would call us back. The morning of 12/26/25 Darnell texted my husband and asked if he could call him at 3 pm that day to discuss the incident and we responded “Sure” and we did not hear back from him until 12/28/25. They denied our claim stating there are no other claims of damage reported . The valet took the claim ticket when we were leaving so I do not have the rights and responsibility information regarding ours and theirs but I do have our ticket number. We stayed less than 24 hours and this was the result. I would not recommend using the valet. It should be stated on all sites that there is public parking across the alley way from the hotel. You’re better off taking a risk.

They took away a star because the air conditioner was empty, and the cleaning people kept going in and out of their doors, banging the doors instead of putting maybe dirty towels down or something to stop the banging so all afternoon it was they were banging doors in and out to clean.

The check-in was hectic as the cars that were arriving was bottle necked and no space so it was very inconvenient. The registration clerk, Marie , was a bit dismissive and not friendly. Valet parking is $48/night and the staff are friendly.Around 1 am- 5 am, we kept hearing a loud thud , not knowing what it was, woke us up. The traffic noise and the slamming of the doors were jarring. That morning, I provided feedback to the front desk about the noise and she didn’t care and didn’t even acknowledge the inconvenience of being woke up. The ice machine on the 2nd floor did not work. When I reported it, I was told, “we know”… not even an apology for the inconvenience. This is a pet friendly hotel so there are a lot of dogs, some not so well behaved. Breakfast is subpar, the coffee is weak. On a positive note, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower did not have hot water, it was barely warm.I think the customer service fell short of what I’ve experienced in other Hampton Inn’s throughout my many travels.

The hotel and room were very clean.The staff were friendly and helpful. Very nice free breakfast. I would suggest parking across the street in the garage (it's much cheaper to leave your car there for the daily rate than valet parking). This hotel is in a fabulous location. Only one block from the Lucas Theatre and Broughton Street. Highly recommended!
