Our vanity was broke in half! Not kidding! But they did try to caulk it.. worse than terrible! Floors were very dirty. The tv was really old! Staff was nice. Location was great! Did not shower there..

The only thing good about this place is location. The hotel doesn't look like it has been painted in years. The carpet in bedroom is dirty. The place just feels dirty. There was a sewage smell coming from bathroom.

No complaints about bed, it was comfy but because everuthing around was dirty you didn't feel like lying in it

The hotel is in a great location. Brittany check me in she was very friendly and helpful explaining all the attractions and locations that Savannah had to offer. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel is definitely old and outdated. The outside is rundown need to be remodeled as well as the inside.

The non smoking room was a non smoking room which was very nice. The room is very functional and everything ya need at hand.
There are some tired edges maintenance wise. But all worked but one Ice machine.
The Staff were one of the best parts of the Inn. They were lovely people and very helpful.
One of the interesting aspects to this Inn is that it is close or at the edges of the hub of nightlife. People walking past at all hours, especially saturday nights. So I recommend ear plugs. And you need them anyway as Bay Rd is very busy.

The site mentioned free parking but it was a paid parking. Also the breakfast the waffle maker was not working. No room service for 3 days stay.
The hotel industry have started reducing the service quality and started charging double since Covid.

Very disappointed with the industry and in particular quality inn.

Do not believe the photos this place is in terrible condition. They must have taken these photos over 20 years ago as this is not what it looks like now. It is beyond old, smells terrible like mold in the rooms, carpets are black and the structure looks unsafe. The Best Western next door looks 1000 times better than this hotel which is saying a lot. The staff was friendly but the property is in complete disrepair. Do not believe the photos they have posted of what it looks like, go somewhere else.

The great thing about this place was its location - you can’t do better! When we first checked in (quite late), Brittany was there with extra friendly service and smiles. She made us so hopeful for our stay.
However things went down badly after that. There were no coffee or sugar pouches, the free breakfast was so bad we chose to pay for it instead. The place was really dirty - even the doors were filthy and there was no service for the room. Front desk simply sneered - hospitality industry? They don’t understand the concept here!

The front check-in employees were wonderful! We were very disappointed in the hotel property condition & the rooms had musty smell. Double Tree, Hilton & other beautiful hotel options are across the street or close by. This poorly maintained hotel is located in a perfect location that is walking distance to most tourist sites. Breakfast was minimal at best. We will not stay here again.

When I arrived at the property there was a man staying at the hotel begging for money. The property looked rundown and looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The worst looking hotel downtown Savannah. The carpet in the room needed shampooing or replacement. However, overall the room was cleaned.
My wife was uncomfortable and felt unsafe. We didn't not get a good night rest. We checked out 20 minutes before breakfast and tried to get a couple of cup of coffee. Office/lounge was locked. Apparently the front desk person felt unsafe as well. The hotel needs security and a face lift. We will NOT stay at this hotel on our next visit to Savannah.

The room is a bit older and could use some upgrades (maybe a fresh coat of paint) However, it was a great hotel for one night. Fantastic location and wonderful staff. Steps away from the river walk. You do have to pay for parking. I only had a yogurt and cereal at the breakfast. Bagels, pancakes and fruit was also available.

This place is a mess.
The outside is run down and sorely need of maintenance. Actually, the rooms, too. The first room we were assigned looked like it hadn't been cleaned and had black dirt on the white bedspread and the towels were dirty. The second room was was an absolute no-go due to the smells and stained fixtures, and the third room was better but needs maintenance.

The staff at this hotel are shining stars of this place. They were cheerful, helpful, and really good at what they do. Kudos to them for dealing with us so kindly.

Major deferred maintenance and subpar repairs to room. All furnishing pretty much worn out. Where the breakfast ingredients purchased at a substandard convenience store?
Charged $15.00 per night for onsite parking. That was a bit over-the-top. I won't book at the motel in the future.

We needed to change rooms as the first room had many stains on the carpet, very noisy over Bay Street, broken marble sink counter. 4 nights stay and no one cleaned room or provided new towels. Breakfast consisted of cold cereal and bagel, as pancake maker wasn’t functioning.
Great location, 3 minute walk to River Street and Bull Street brings you to Forsyth Square.

The staff was very nice and made us feel welcome. As far as the hotel and room itself, it was nice sized, clean and in the perfect location. You can get pretty much anywhere you're thinking of visiting on foot within minutes. The continental breakfast was good as well; you have a large timeframe to get down there so that's really helpful. While looking to book a room I noticed, not many hotels in the area even offer breakfast at all or for free if they have it, so that amenity alone was great.

The prime spots like bed and bath linens and bath fixtures were clean. Toiletries were about what’s expected for a hotel of this caliber. Air conditioning is old, noisy, and uneven. The room had a distinct smell similar to cat odor, though it may have been age and dampness. The overall sense is that there’s lots of maintenance needed on doors and walls. There’s a seating area on an upper balcony that’s trying to be a benefit.

The lobby is small and dark and has bus station vibes. We opted not to eat breakfast there. Coffee and tea are offered all day, which was nice.

The front desk staff on check in was extremely pleasant and upbeat, though later our travel companions said their request for more towels was met with a sense of inconvenience.

Parking is handy and less expensive than other hotels in the area, and overall the location couldn’t be better, which we all decided made up for any deficiencies, and the price was certainly affordable for the convenient locale.

I would describe this as a tired property. It's primarily painted concrete, looks run down, and the furnishings are quite old. Also on Bay Street means a lot of road noise. I used my earplugs. But staff were friendly. Breakfast more modest than most such places. Worked for one night.

Parking is right outside your door. Parking lot, sidewalk and stairs were very run down and noisy. Room was surprisingly okay. Bed was clean, bathroom had everything you needed and there was plenty of room. Ice machine worked and room had mini fridge and microwave. USB ports beside the bed came in handy. Best part of the hotel was its location. You can walk to everything. Even had a small continental breakfast available in the morning. The whole exterior needs painting so it is not so scary. Lol. For the money we saved it was well worth it.

Property is convenient to the River Walk which was a main consideration for this trip along with cost. It is on a busy street so there is a lot of traffic noise at night, but I've learned all the properties on this street have the same issue. It is also old and could use some renovations. Lighting in the room was limited to 2 table lamps, a light over the sink and in the bathroom so it was somewhat dark even with the drapes open.

Overall this property met my basic needs with a relatively low cost.

Helpful, friendly and very accommodating staff. The hotel is in the heart of the historic district just steps away from the vibrant entertainment and shopping area on the river (behind the hotel) and very walkable historic district (in front of hotel) full of restaurants, shops, bars and even a post office. It’s an older property that needs a bit of TLC but is comfortable, clean and in good repair with very comfortable beds and quality, cozy linens.

The property was in a great location, just a short walk to shops, restaurants, and bars with music. The room was big enough and the bed was comfortable. The problem was the cleanliness. The rug in the room was stained, an outlet did not work, and the countertop was cracked. There was trash in the stairwell and parking lot; the walls of the building were dirty. We will not stay there in the future.

On the way to the front office, I was able to look into one of the rooms and it was disgusting! When I asked the staff member at the front desk if I could cancel my stay, she rudely said “no”

The property is dirty. The tv reception was not good. What was the most disappointing was that we were charged an extra 35. for parking ..we only stayed one night. We had an extra 17. charge on our card. When my husband talked to the manager, she said it was a mistaken charge and it would take 3-5 days to credit our account. She didnt seem too concerned about the fact that we were over charged, which makes me think it has happened before. The hotel was in a good location and within walking distance of the River District.

The pictures online are not those of the actual hotel. It is very old and outdated. I could have over looked that; however, to alert the photos is just fraud. The room had an odor of mildew. The front door had a gap down the side large enough to see light from outside. The door also looked unsafe as there was so much damage by the door knob. This is not a hotel, it is an old motel. I left within an hour of checking in and went elsewhere. I had already paid in full. I didn't expect any money back. But to my surprise once I left, I was charged again, almost $300 to my card from the hotel. When I called to question what was going on, hotel staff told me I had to pay a fee for checking out early. And that it was a daily rate for each day. So, I paid in full before I got to the hotel, left, didn't ask for a refund, didn't complain and was charged more. Do not stay here!

I understand that its a budget type location , but the area adjacent is not. The property itself needs a HUGE OVERHAUL. A very small area for breakfast, which was very basic. The front desk though had a very nice staff and loved their service to its guests. But seriously , corporate needs to get online with updating the property. The broken concrete, the rusty rails and railings on the stairs. Corporate could redo this property and compete with the surrounding competitors. Plus please get that liquor store moved or upgrade it. Its an eye sore.

This property has a great location. Very close to River Street and very close to almost anything you wanna do in Savannah the staff were neither friendly nor rude. They just did their jobs. I don’t feel that there was any extra hospitality extended, but for the price you can’t beat the location. My room was never cleaned, but maybe I missed the sign saying that they don’t do routine cleanings. The breakfast was functional. There were no hot items other than pancakes you could make. The room was in fine condition. Everything seemed a little old, but it still worked.

I rarely do reviews but this hotel was rated as Good through Hotels.com and it was nothing but scary. We arrived at the Hotel and were taken back at the condition of the outside of the hotel as it was dirty, rundown and we could tell from the curtains inside that we lopsided and dirty that wemay have made the wrong choice. So we went in the \"Lobby\" and the receptionist was pleasant as I explained to her that I'm not sure we can sleep here so she gave us a key to go and check out one of their \"best rooms\" which was nice of her. In doing so, we had to leave and find another place to stay which is not easy the same night in Savannah! Shame on Hotels.com to REFUSE to refund or credit our money for the ONE night we had booked! We have been customers for so many years but most likely they just lost our business forever! What a terrible experience with Hotels.com.

1) Stuffy rooms (could barely breath in the night)
2) Very dirty rooms. And on top of that, nobody brought us fresh towels.
3) The first staff member we interacted with was rude to us.
4) Property condition was very poor (doors were chipped, floor felt like it has holes under the carpet, and bathtub was dirty).
5) It was very loud in and around the property during the night.
Overall a very bad experience. But the upside is that we spent almost all days out exploring because we couldn’t stand being in that room.
