It was clean. Its an older motel that has been updated. We stayed one night and didnt get to see the pool (which was why I opted for this motel verses some if the nicer hotels) it rained so no swimming. We slept well. We didnt get up early enough for breakfast so no comment. Ftont desk was super kind and welcoming.

The staff at the front desk were great especially Lisa. the Concierge was very helpful with event planning. Breakfast was good but the hot offerings were the same everyday and were a bit off kilter for my tastes. Room was not fancy but very adequate

Pros: 5 minute walk to the river shops and retaurants
Cons: Room needs serious updating
Musty smell when you first walk into the room
$38 for parking too high
There was an outside smoking area right outside our room with metal chairs and tables. When the chairs moved you could hear it in the room. We were going to ask for another room but fortunately it rained so the noise quieted down.

Breakfast was good, room was pretty clean and decent but no microwave or hairdryer. Did not have many outlets in room so didn’t use coffee maker but the lobby had items to purchase and plenty of options in the morning you could take back to the room. The carpets in the rooms were filthy and turned your feet black—always wear socks or shoes inside. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

I am requesting a full refund for myself and my family. I have never had a more horrifying experience. We booked 3 rooms for one night. From the moment we walked in the door I had serious concerns about trusting my family to this motel. The woman at the front desk was dressed in a shirt worn with holes, clearly did not want to be there, and she was snappy with my father when he asked for clarification on the required paid parking. When I arrived at my room we discovered that the toilet wouldn't flush. I tried to call the front desk to ask for maintenance, but the phone didn't work. When we returned to the front desk for help the woman told us there was no maintenance person available, that she was the only person there, and that she's not allowed to leave the desk. I told her we couldn't stay in a room without a toilet. She literally handed us a plunger to fix it ourselves. The plunger didn't fix it. We asked for another room and were told my only option was to split my sons and I into two rooms which was not an option because they are young. I ended up having to swap rooms with another guest so we could be together. The AC didn't work in any of the rooms booked, the shower water reeked of fish or sewage, the hallways smelled like marijuana, and a homeless man slept outside the door of my mother's room. The front desk was no help at all and treated us like we were the problem.

Location was great, near the riverfront. They allow dogs which helped me.

It's on a very busy street with lots of big trucks going by all day.
The pool was closed for cleaning the whole time we were there and never saw anyone cleaning it.

Staff was not friendly room was clean… we felt rushed as the cleaners showed up and said we had already checked out but we had not yet and it was 930am… dining room area was dirty and over crowded staff was irritated to have to clean up… if providing a continental breakfast from 630 to 930 there should be food out and replenished and fresh it was not it was 830 when we went to breakfast… charging guests to park their cars when they’ve already paid to stay at your location is terrible

This was an ok place to stay for a couple nights and not spending much time in the room. The room was in much need of repair. Broken dresser drawer, bathroom doors didn't close all the way and were dirty with makeup, peeling areas. Beds were clean and comfy though and the breakfast was fine. If you are a light sleeper, do not get a room facing the main street. Very noisy at times at all hours. The woman that checked us in at night was very friendly.

Location was great, but that may also be why there were some unsavory people in the stairwells/on the property. Stayed with young teenagers and we bumped into someone who looked like they were doing something illegal in the stairwell. Not 100% sure what they were doing, but that combined with a woman yelling profanities loudly from her car in the parking lot into the rooms for 3 hours right outside our room did not make us feel very safe. There was also a connecting room door that was loose and didn't lock fully. Needless to say, we didn't feel safe and we would not stay again.

The location of this property is great for walking to many of the riverfront and historical district locations. The price is great for the location and while I wasn't crazy about the parking fee, the fact that it is in a great location saves you from driving everywhere. And parking fees at other hotels are comparable. The room was clean and the room can be completely blacked out with the pull down shade. Word of caution however, you can hear every step of the guests above you if you're on the 1st and 2nd floors. And you will hear the sounds of downtown though it dies down after 10ish (unless a major event is going on like St. Patty's I'm sure). The good news is they have a sound machine in the roo. That drowns a lot of the noise out and they have ear plugs available at the front desk. They have a hot breakfast but you have to get there early to get anything. Beds were comfy though the pillows weren't great. Not unusual for most hotels though. The area felt safe too.

Employees were helpful and pleasant. Check-in was super easy. Room was clean and loved the bathroom set up.
Breakfast was delicious and such a good assortment to choose from.
Only minor observation was that people walking above us was a little more noisy than I've typically had at other hotels.
Otherwise, would definitely stay here again!

The location of property was perfect in walking distance to historic area. Nice pool and pretty clean just a few things. Door handle to bathroom was removed and there was 3 of us and we always had to request towels only gave us 2. But would stau here again.

Location was good, very walkable to Riverfront and historic district of Savannah. Showers had plenty of hot water, good mattresses. Outside of that, not much to recommend - breakfast was mediocre, we moved our room 4 times in 24 hours due to leaks and wet carpet. Rooms were cramped and not well equipped with basic amenities. Savannah is lots of fun, hope to return, but will not stay at this hotel again.

Itt was great the food was excellent the beds soft, the staff was the best of any ove seen all over the world ,we had a wedding party that stayed at the holiday inn express. But they wouldn't let my litt ginger my fur baby stay, there that is the reason i choose this motel ,thinking I was across the street from my grandsons wedding party, which was on the east side of bay st.dont across from you guys, im glsd to say my room was as good as thiers,the food better because they went to the waffle house they said thier breakfast wssnt good well ours was great and from now on im staying with you guys,real southern hospitality the best clean rooms and all the mcwherters

The hotel was good it’s in a great location and the rooms are spacious with everything you need . The breakfast Buffett was good offering choices of both hot and cold food and drinks , the staff were helpful and courteous.
Overall our stay was good the concierge was very helpful .
The only negative was the reception staff who were not very engaging and quite curt just wanting to get things over and done with .Not very welcoming and not a smile to be seen , disappointing as they are the first point of contact when arriving at the hotel

Stayed here for a little trip to Savannah. Had a breakfast buffet but we didn't eat there so can't comment on it. Very central location and easy walk to many sights, bars, restaurants.

When we arrived, we got there at 3pm. Check in is at 4. We were told we could pay $30 to check in early....dude, it's an hour! The hotel was also very unoccupied so it's not like they were kicking someone out early for our check in. We were on the 3rd floor and every room we passed on the first and third floors were unoccupied. I thought it was kind of nickel and diming but whatever. We paid.

Can't comment on how soundproof the rooms are b/c there was no one on either side of us the four days we were there.

For a fun thing - go to the Marriott a few streets behind here (near the water) and walk around inside and see all the dinosaur bones and gems/geodes. It is really neat and free!

Breakfast must have had somethiing bad because I got violently ill with the runs immediately after eating it. Also the room had spider webs on the ceiling and I got bitten all over my body from the bed. Bed bugs ?? One week ater I am still itching with large welts all over my body !!

Breakfast was superb, hotel staff was helpful (Cyndie was giving us a mother-level care, she was fantastic).
Air conditioning and everything else in the room work well. Pool with heated water was wonderful.
The floor lamp in the room did not always work, I think the problem was the electric plug next to it. But that was minor.
The only big problem we had was the spring breakers who occupied this hotel on Friday, April 11. They were so noisy, that we could not sleep until 2 am. Luckily we were leaving on the next day.
Ironically, that bad night was the most expensive one bc it was a weekend, so we paid about 3 times more for it comparing to the week nights.

For $500 a night I got a room that had a non-functioning shower, towels were threadbare, beds were lumpy, air conditioning had to be blasting to cover the mildew smell. I asked for a new room when I realized the shower was not working. They gave me a new room, and the shower did not get hot. One of the mattresses was totally collapsed. No blankets were provided, only sheets. I stayed on both the east and west sides of the hotel and both were very loud with traffic and people out partying. None of the rooms have blackout curtains. The best part about the property was the front office staff (Destiny and Bridgette - I didn’t catch the other names). Parking was easy/plentiful but also like $38 a day. There isn’t much worth walking to for food/beverage either.
