I stayed in an Executive Suite and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The room was very spacious and beautifully designed, with excellent facilities throughout. There were some really thoughtful touches on arrival, including lunch in the fridge, champagne for my friend’s birthday, and even a birthday cake, which was a lovely surprise.
The gym was well equipped and perfect for a proper workout. Breakfast was outstanding with a wide selection, and everything was fresh and high quality. Whenever we needed anything, it was dealt with immediately. The General Manager was extremely attentive and resolved any issues within seconds.
Would I stay again? Absolutely. Would I recommend this hotel? Without hesitation. A great location and an exceptional stay overall. (Room 303)

The bathroom smelt of pee and the previous guest’s hair was pushed into the corner of the bathroom upon our arrival. Shower area was filling up with water and flooding the whole bathroom. Our room was not cleaned on one occasion although we were out all day, so we had to share a towel after we’d used the rest to clear the bathroom flooding. A number of towels had bleach stains. Although I informed staff that I was pregnant, I was brought a glass of Prosecco and was given a ham & cheese sandwich upon arrival (very lovely gestures for anybody else, but I felt more attention should have been paid here considering my circumstances that the hotel were aware of). Upon departure, they tried to charge us twice for the previous night’s dinner and the receptionist insisted that it would be €70 each (instead of the standard €35 rate), and she had to call her manager to resolve the dispute, which he did promptly and politely.

We loved our stay at King Jason. Some of the other bits and pieces I’ve seen mentioned in other reviews are there, but pool glasses being a little tired and paint on the odd light fitting has ZERO effect on your time at the hotel. Unless something actually impacts your stay personally I would say there wouldn’t be anything negative to mention. The staff are fantastic and constantly on hand to serve with a smile. The food is varied and delicious and the hotel is spotlessly clean.
It’s quiet and super chilled, exactly what you would want from a relaxing break in the sunshine.

I wouldn’t consider this a four star property. I imagine five or ten years ago, it was a plush adults only hotel. Now, it looks neglected with over-painting around light fittings and pool tiles broken and laying on the floor. The staff, whilst friendly, appear to have zero service experience; the bar staff wipe the glasses with their fingers and fill wine glass to the brim. The ‘entertainment’ took me back to family holidays in the eighties complete with a wedding DJ playing Culture Club and Queen. That being said, it appears to have a loyal customer base of 60+ year old brits who appreciate all inclusive buffets.

There’s was ants all over the room on the table with coffee facilities, there was human hair in the shower before I even used it, ants in the fig jam they leave you I have videos etc , checking inn was a joke told I payed half then told need to pay again ans he was very sharpish when he spoke horrible man place was not worth the stars it has

The Hotel was lovely, and the room was also but unfortunately, the view from the balcony was of a wall. Was walkable to all amenities. The pool area was very quiet, probably too quiet. I feel it would have benefited from some ambient music as you could here a pin drop

Staff were very attentive and helpful at all times. Breakfast well stocked and varied for even a fussy eater like me. The outdoor and indoor pools were clean and deck chairs and areas all clean and well looked after. Very good standard of cleanliness in main part. The room we had had very good amenities and was spacious. They do need updating as the bathroom was tired looking and the bedroom furniture. Lounge area of room had modern furniture. Bed and air conditioners were very good. Be warned they have live singing till 11pm and this can be quite loud. Our only critique was the live singing running till 11pm. This should stop by 10 and start earlier so that people who want to rest can do so by 10.00 as the sound is audible even with closed windows and doors. Overall a excellent experience and we will most definitely return.

I never write reviews, but this time I went out of my way to figure out how and tell people Not To Book This Hotel. The website pictures are misleading. The real thing does not look at all like the pictures. The hotel is dark, sad and dated. Stained carpets and foul odour of cat urine around the pool area. If the pix had been truthful I wouldn't have minded a simple hotel, and I've certainly stayed at worse places - knowingly. But this is a bait and switch. The staff was nice but it does not compensate for the awfulness of the facilities.

This property was beautiful, the staff was so kind and accommodating.

There’s a free shuttle to the shop/harbour area which makes it very easy to get around.

We loved the buffet options, one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The pool area is lovely and surrounded by fruit trees.

I wouldn't stay here again

The property is run down. The registration terms and conditions are all about gastric conditions. The cypriot table at the breakfast buffet was covered with flies every day. I asked for extra bedding and Maria complained because it was 8:30pm; I told her I could go to the reception and she was quite irritable; it was annoying to be treated that way. The free bottle of sparkling wine was a nice gesture but the quality made me quite sick. Maybe this + flies-covered table is why they have all the terms about gastric conditions, but I think its actually because the pool seemed under-chlorinated I did not enjoy my stay

Very basic cruise ship crowd class establishment. Location was not great but we managed to cram into the shuttle buses. at the right times. Two twin pushed together to make a queen, airco worked well, make the place confortable. Rooms could use a refresh/update. Shower floor panels was like that of a disposable kids' pool.

We liked the ambience of the hotel - room was good size and clean, dining and bar areas good service and well looked after, quiet room if needed and 3 nice pools. Spa was limited and position of the hotel meant it was a long walk to the harbour or town. Big disappointment was not the hotel but the large amount of road construction around Paphos harbour and sea front.

All in all we had a pleasant stay. The staff are very helpful, the pools areas are nice, and the breakfast was satisfactory. But, it is an apartments hotel with no elevators (some apartments are on 2nd & 3rd floor). Maintenance of the rooms isn't very good (furnitures peeling off - the fake leather getting crumbled , shower door got broken on opening, cracks in the walls..)

Stay made unpleasant by a downgrading “upgrade”

Big hotel situated in a quiet area, 20min walking to the sea front, easy parking.
Remarkable array of tasty food items at the buffet breakfast and dinner and excellent service.
I would have given them full marks if I wasn’t offered an “upgrade” at the check in.
I booked a superior studio, as I did for our previous stay here, 4 years ago. I was impressed I was offered an upgrade, but the feeling changed when we saw the new room. Instead of a spacious Superior Studio I paid for, I was given a small, cramped room. It did not have a wall to separate the bathroom from the bedroom, only a curtain. I pointed this immediately to a grumpy employee at the checkout, and the next day to the nice, smiling lady who offered me the downgrading “upgrade”. Both told me “There is a different design” and did not offer to give me the room I paid for instead of the tiny one they put us in.
Why someone would think that is a pleasant experience to hear the other one washing their hands after going to the toilet during the night or having a shower, I really do not understand.
The room had a DVD player which was out of order anyway (and who brings DVDs on holidays these days), probably to improve the “different design” and a TV set with about 8 stations in Greek and one or two in the other “local” language – Russian. Why a big hotel cannot afford a satellite dish to offer some channels in English is another question.
Anyway, the main problem was the small and badly designed room we were assigned to.

Nice hotel and conveniently located to Kato Pafos and tourist sites (it is not a beach hotel). The service at the front desk was very responsive, friendly and helpful. Food and service in the restaurant and bar were good as well. The room was clean, spacious and nicely laid out. I would come again.

Very nice rooms with a good standard of cleanliness. Rooms were well equipped with mini kitchens and tea and coffee making facilities with regular supplies provided. Staff observed a high standard of Covid protocols and tables were sanitised after each change at meal times.
Hotel well located with a nice walk to the beach or harbour area and also to the old town area although a shuttle bus service was provided.

The hotel was not as it was advertised, the rooms are in need of renovation, no view in the middle of a housing estate poor cleaning in the rooms, wifi rubbish.
However the staff all lovely, the pools whilst absolutely freezing looked great, The food was enjoyable with lots of variety.
The hotel areas are lovely, with lots of beds, umbrella and towels.
Life guard was brilliant with the children and the outdoor toilets really nice.

Great welcome on arrival with champagne and chocolates. Lovely room with complimentary beach bag and use of silky bathrobes. Huge and comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was first class with everything you could wish for. Attentive and friendly staff. Loved the hydro pool, very relaxing and comfy sun beds. All in all nothing was too much trouble. First class and would definitely return.

Amazing hotel

Great hotel, friendly staff, great food, comfortable rooms, everything you could possibly want in a holiday. If you are planning to go to Paphos, king Jason is the hotel to stay at. We loved the choice of picking from the pools.. it gave us options in which one we would like to go in. The harbour was only a few minutes walk but beware the prices at the harbour were a little expensive and we found that the food at the hotel was much better than outside.

Lovely Hotel

From the momement we arrived we were taken care of with a glass of champagne and soft drinks for the children. The room was fine but the view not the best and they sorted this out the next day. We couldn’t fault the facilities or the service of the staff. We were made to feel mist welcome. Although two of the pools were for adults and as my kids were a bit older (teenagers) they felt there should have been more facilities for them. They did have a pool table and table tennis wii h kept them entertained. Although from next season the hotel will be adults only so this is a bit irrelevant. One of the pools was a hydro pool which was great.
Each day the waiters would attend whilst we relaxed around the pool bringing drinks and sorting out beds.
We stayed bed and breakfast and found the food superior every type of food you could wish for and as much tea/coffee you want. The hotel also has an adequately equipped air conditioned gym which I used frequently as it was too hot to run outside!
The hotel was close to the local shopping Mall about 10 mins walk and 15 mins walk to the harbour and plenty of shops places to eat and drink. We found a few really authentic places to eat just behind the harbour.

From the moment me and my friend stepped into the hotel, we knew straight away it was going to be a great experience. Every single staff member, to Andreas, Maria etc - they were absolutely fantastic. It was so personable and couldn't have been more hospitable if asked. We stayed in Block B and it has been newly refurbished - wow. How amazing.
The facilities, spa, food was great.
Honestly, I have stayed in many places but this has been by far my favourite - I will definitely recommend and visit back soon. :)

It is located on a quiet street at about 15 min walk from the seafront.
The room was big and clean, with a very good bed but the bathroom was very small and needs redecoration.
The tv had a small selection of channels and the wifi was sluggish.
The service was very warm and professional and the buffet dinner and breakfast exceeded our expectations.
The range was wide and changed every day, all the products were fresh, very tasty and the attention to detail was second to none. Andreas runs the show from the front, with energy, passion and efficiency. I wish I could be so energetic.
Thanks to all of you for making our stay so pleasant.

Excellent in every respect

Very comfortable one bedroom suite with kitchenette, though we didn't cook at all.
Friendly and highly attentive service at reception, from housekeeping and in the restaurant.

The size of the hotel was perfect... Our room was just a few seconds from the poolside and restaurant. We got deckchairs right next to the toddler pool every morning so easy to watch the little one. And in the restaurant as well, no table more than a few paces from the buffet.

Excellent food - we stayed half board- with daily changing dinner menu. Expected more local seafood dishes though, being on the Mediterranean.
Convenient hourly shuttle bus 5 days a week to the harbour and mall.

We were lucky to have sunny cloudless skies all 6 days of our stay, and this top class hotel and staff made it all the more memorable.

Great quiet area to stay during a visit to Paphos. Staff friendly and welcoming. Great location to access harbor, restaurants and historic areas. Appreciated the separate areas for lounge, library, eating, pool, etc. Nice hotel design gives impression of a small resort.

Hotel good but not ideal for families.

Hotel was good for couples and older kids (which were the vast majority whilst we were there) but not for our under 10s as swimming pools were limited. Standard suite was great as it had 2 rooms and a kitchen area but the outlook onto a dirty space was not at all pleasant (we were at the back of the hotel) and so we kept our curtain drawn when in the room. Good food with an excellent selection, no kids food obviously available but we were told (belatedly) that we could asked for chips. Overall a good hotel but not suited to our family circumstances.

The Hotel was nice. The welcoming at the reception when arrived first time was nice.

We didn’t like the fact that we were put at a ground floor flat. Especially when there are 3 different pools which a lot of rooms are situated around. And our room was looking towards none of them. However, may be they were full. In that case it’s understandable.

Apart from this when the cleaning ladies came to swipe around the rooms early in the morning they used to chitchat. Which has woken me up both mornings we stayed there.

The last thing I found very unusual is when we went to check out usually the people thank you for your custom and say nice things like: hope to see you again or ask if you enjoyed the place or if everything was ok. Instead, after being asked my room number the only thing they said was it’s done and no one looked into my face in the reception again. And never said anything else. No thank you, nothing.

Whether this had to do with us being a gay couple, or he fact that we only stayed 2 days (so we were not so valuable as clients) or whether it had to do with the fact that I’m an Turkish Cypriot staying in the Greek part of Cyprus I.e. my nationality, I don’t know.

The room itself, the amenities the food service and remaining all other stuff was fine. We have no complaints.

Lovely hotel and staff are so friendly!

Hotel is lovely, the staff are so friendly, very clean, we had a really relaxing time! Breakfast can not fault it, they have everything and it is cooked really well. Plenty of sun loungers, with comfortable foam bedding and a pillow! A bit of luxury! Pools great, particularly the Indoor heated pool for an evening swim.
Hotel room or should I say mini apartment was a real surprise! Plenty of space, bedroom lovely and had a separate living/dining area and kitchenette, great decor, very modern and again very clean. Kitchenette had all the utensils you’d need... including wine bottle opener! I would definitely recommend The King Jason and will be making a return myself soon!

We choose this hotel due to it's rating. It didn't disappoint. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food in our all inclusive week was simply amazing - best I have had in a hotel I have stayed a week in. Variety, choice and fresh plus so much of it. Prepare to eat alot!

The room was large and comfortable. We didn't have a view if that's what you are after but we didn't spend ages in the room. The pool area is lovely.

Yes the hotel is out of the harbour/coast area but a quick walk down into the main town is a nice way to get out and about.

Stayed with our 9 month old. The staff could not have been more helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a great holiday. The hotel was clean modern and the pools were lovely. It is ideally located in the middle of the marina, mall,old town and archeological sites. The food was amazing massive amounts of choice and all high quality. We will definitely return to this wonderful hotel.

Honest option of this hotel

Stayed 3 days £314 b & b for 2 .Hotel placed in a scruffy residential area looks quite out of place with security gates all around and hardly any hotel parking , had to park on street outside people's homes .
Hotel reception was welcoming at first arrival then down hill after that . Restaurant management were a credit to hotel , food was great , sunloungers great quality also , pool lovely with jacuzzi beds etc in adult pool .
Room spacious , clean but not my standard of clean . Bed amazing . Patio outside got no sun at all do never used .
Bear in mind all bedroom suites a walk along outside the hotel can go up couple of floors no lifts .

Id go back only if it were closer to the beach front. We were BnB not all inclusive so wanted to get out and about more not just lie by the pool all day. There is a lack of services and facilities in the immediate area and a 20 min walk to the beach and harbour. Hotel otherwise good value. Buffet breakfasts fantastic.

Lovely hotel, well run and very helpful staff. Was under the impression that some people never left the hotel, the food was good and all needs catered for. Five good pools for all ages. I needed to catch the local bus into the harbour area where there were restaurants and shops, too far for me to walk. That area of Pathos has a fantastic archeological site. I stayed for two weeks, late April to May, weather was perfect, not sure hotel would be so good in high season, like most it would be very busy. Would recommend this hotel.

It's all about service...

Normally, my wife and I spend most of our time outside of the hotel when we go on holiday.

On this holiday we ventured out only three or four times, but otherwise stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the service. If we were not at the pool side, we used the spa services where we enjoyed a session every second day.
I think that, if the spa staff are as good as Stephano and Dimitra, it is like adding one or two days to the holiday.

Even though the hotel was booked to capacity, Alex and the two managers we met (both called Maria) always had time to help or support. The waiters got to know our room numbers, preferences and where we liked to hide by the pool, (Christos and Serjio mostly).

I've stayed at some pretty nice hotels in my life, I can see why so many people return to the King Jason though, it was very, very relaxing.

Amazing staff very attentive service

What a lovely team. From the managers to the staff they could not have been any more attentive. They really get to know each and every customer and provide what feels like a very personal service. This is obviously their USP which makes them stand out from the rest and keeps their guests returning year after year.

Some building work still being finished but background noise mainly and it is due to finish soon I understand.

Setting lovely, rooms clean. Good massage in Spa. Food good and lots of choice.

King Jason paphos is excellent hotel

Hotel facilities are excellent. This is topped off with superb staff. All staff are very attentive. The manager, Andreas is very hands on and he makes a point of talking to everyone and he makes sure everyone enjoys staying at his hotel.
The hotel is not set up for children , although children are welcome they cater mostly for couples. The double beds are actually two twin beds, which is normal in Cyprus , this is our only criticism of the hotel and our stay in paphos.

Wonderful Cypriot hospitality, second to none...

The hotel is great, the food is wonderful, the facilities are impressive, but, the best thing about The King Jason is the people. Andreas could not have been more helpful, generous and welcoming - and his leadership sets the tone for the rest of the team.

We enjoyed a fantastic week-long family holiday in the sun, spending most of our time lounging by the pool(s) and chilling-out. Just what we needed.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The King Jason and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Lovely peaceful hotel with 5*service and hospitality. Food and surroundings were FAB and a short walk to harbour and local beaches. Rooms very large and super clean. Huge comfortable bed.

A fantastic hotel to relax in

This hotel is rating highly on other review sites and rightly so. Service is excellent, staff (and guests) seem to walk around with smiles all the time, and the comfort level of the room and the variety and quality of facilities are all top draw. There are special pool features, plus a gym and spa to make the stay really relaxing. The food (mostly buffet style) is outstanding for all meals and offers a varied daily evening meal menu, both Cypriot and international.

Top marks for hotel, but Paphos?

You couldn't fault the hotel and staff, absolutely wonderful. The hotel is a good 15 minutes walk from the harbour and archaeological sites and they are definitely worth a visit. The old town of Paphos is undergoing a major road work scheme and almost every street is dug up, a real mess. The area is geared up for the English resident and visitor with Debenhams and M&S shops among others in the new Mall, so not very Cypriot in feel. Away from Paphos things are more authentic.

Less than average - look elsewhere!

The King Jason was a terribly overrated hotel, situated in a very inconvenient location away from town (not within walking distance to seaside). Full of retirees and families. Got our bedding preferences wrong despite having specified it clearly in our booking. Average.

One bed apartment perfect for us. The three pools were great but thought the hotel more suited to adults, we only booked for breakfast which was most enjoyable. The staff were helpful for directions and advice. For us the walk to the Harbour was no problem and enjoyed visiting some of bars on the way. Shopping centre a short walk to.

Really Homely

The most outstanding feature of this hotel is their friendly staff. Special mention must be made of Pavlos at the front desk who went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. Our sincere thanks also go out to Maria and Mario also at the front desk and Anjela at the restaurant. Although quite big, the King Jason is a very homely hotel. The breakfast at the restaurant was outstanding. Our room was large and comfortable, although a bit dated. It is located a fair distance from the town centre - a good 15 to 20 minutes walk. We ate at some great restaurants in town - all recommended by the wonderful people at the front desk. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Better and better

As always the staff go the extra mile and made our stay memorable. Nothing is too much trouble and they make you feel that your enjoyment really does matter to them. Our third visit, each time we think it's perfect, but it keeps getting better and better, this year with new gym facilities and a massage treatment room and sauna. We hope to return next year.

I felt the staff were very helpful and friendly and were very welcoming. The food was excellent and plentiful. The facilities you were very good and easily accessible.
The only criticism I had was the lack of tea, coffee and milk in
the bedroom. I felt that it was a facility which should be included free of charge
Apart from this, I was extremely satisfied with my stay and would recommend the hotel.

Gem of a hotel

We're guests at a wedding and booked this hotel. What a top decision that was. Room, facilities , cleanliness,food and staff all excellent.
Special mention has to go to Maria and Andreas who run a superb establishment and do everything they can to make your stay a memorable experience.

A really nice hotel. We went here for my partner's 50th birthday treat. Fantastic greeting on arrival with a glass of bubbly and sandwiches in our fridge due to a late arrival. Food has got to be the best we have tasted. Great selection of dishes from all around the world both at lunch and dinner. All food fresh and hot. Salads were excellent as well. Even the puddings - had a great choice with a special hot dish of the day too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be taking family back in the future.

- Cleanliness : good be better not freshly mopped floors
- Rooms : Comfortabe but in 1 bedroom suite a very large bed in a limited space , makes room seem packed
- Wifi : Free service (switched off during night?) , paid service in rooms 3Eur/24hours
- Service : most of the staff polite and helpful. Serving staff need more training
- Neighbourhood : Adjacent to a busy road, quite noisy sometimes
- Pools : The best thing in the hotel, large central pool, adults pool, kids little pool and large whirlpool

Andreas - you are a legend!

This place is as good as it gets - informal yet efficient and massively customer focused.

All of the staff want to engage with the guests but are not pushy or \"in you face\", the two Maria's (reception and restaurant) are both particularly brilliant.

But it is the Captain of the Ship who inspires the crew, Andreas you lead from the front and all of your staff follow, that what makes the King Jason exceptional.

Not only would i recommend that you stay here if you want to holiday in Cyprus, but if you are thinking of a career in the hotel industry, you will learn more about customer service in a week here that you would in 3 years at college.

Thanks guys - see you in 2016 (and thanks for the birthday cake!)

The hotel is great in terms of facilities and quality. We had a great time. The location is not the best for holiday makers that like to venture to the beach and harbour as it is a little further away but is a quiet residential area.

Others have commented on the King Jason and I agree with the positive description of the hotels
facilities.The only light negatives are,our room was at the end near the dual carriageway and the local
motorcycle riders use it as a testing strip for the TT around midnight.The sausages and bacon at breakfast are 'different' and not to my taste,English versions of both are cheaply available in the local bars.The choice of quality food for dinner was excellent.The staff were friendly and efficient.

Excellent Hotel - far surpassed expectation

My mother and I had a very pleasant week long stay in Cyprus. Thanks to this beautiful hotel our stay was one of utmost relaxation, where our every need was attended to with politeness and genuine attentiveness. The staff were exceptionally warm and so helpful. We would especially like to thank Maria at the front desk as well as Marios and the manager all of whom were only too happy to recommend places to eat, and attractions to visit. They booked our tours, the spa and generally enabled us to have a very smooth, stress-free stay while seeing all the sites in Cyprus. We would recommend this hotel without reservation.

I would not say this is a 4.5* hotel, rather described as 2-3* apartment rooms with a few glitches.

Pros:
Hydro pool.

Cons:
No complimentary toiletries??
Dated furniture.
Building work 8-9am.

Fabulous Hotel, would highly recommend. Spotlessly clean, staff very attentive, could not do enough for us, the rooms are beautifully presented, the food, breakfast in particular is excellent, as are the 'King Jason Mojitos!!' Great location.
A stay at the KJ is a must for anyone visiting Paphos.

If you are going to Paphos to sit on the beach, then note that this hotel is not practical walking distance to the water.

The strong good points are that the service is exceptional, rooms are large and comfortable and breakfast superior. The neighborhood is residential about a 10-15 minute walk to some nice restaurants.

Do not let the fee for the internet put you off, it is only 3 Euros per day and less for longer periods.

Lovely welcoming hotel.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival. We turned up early and they rushed to get the room ready for us, while we went for a swim in the indoor pool. We did not eat in the hotel, but the food looked very nice. Good location, we walked to Paphos Harbour and castle within about 10 minutes. There were lots of restaurants and shops within a short walk. We only stayed the one night, so did not get to see too much of the area. We would return to this hotel. The outdoor pools looked great - but too cold in February!

Very pleasant stay for our first time in Cyprus. Hotel well located in quiet street await from noise, a short walk to harbour and old city. Very clean facilities. Modern, with lots of continuing investment. Staff unfailingly courteous and helpful. Internet in lobby areas free and good. We chose to pay extra and for room internet and found it very poor so we told reception, not thinking they would be bale to deal with it. They immediately called the provider and the next day we have 5 bars signal and for the remainder of our stay. Impressive.
This is not the cheapest place around - you can find cheaper hotels but this is very good value for money. You get what you are paying for, good facilities, very pleasant clientele, good food at buffet breakfast. We plan to go again.
And Paphos greatly exceeded our expectations. Visits to the various archaeological sites are amazing. Plenty for the discerning traveller on top of sunshine.
