The hotel staff were great and very accommodating but the hotel needs more maintenance around the pool and other facilities. The gym changing room and pool toilets were poor and a lot of the tiles in both pools were broken.
It’s a very minimalist feel but the lighting around the stairs and elevator was very dim at night and we just used our phones flashlight.
The area around the hotel is great with lots of walkable beach options and the board walk makes everything stroller friendly.

Nice rooms, relaxed, fairly quiet. Convenient small beach and pool. Basic gym, nice sauna. Excellent breakfast the odd grumpy staff there but most people speak to you. Could do a bit more on recycling and have a drinking water refill station as water from the taps not drinkable and most people have moved on from bottled water /plastic waste. Overall would recommend especially through third party booking sites where you can get discounts.

The location is great with a nice walk to the marina. The staff are friendly and the breakfast buffet was delicious. However the whole hotel needs maintenance. The pool had missing tiles everywhere and the outdoor furniture was in need of replacing. The rooms were very basic and not of a standard you would expect for 4 star. The bathrooms and rooms were very clean. Fine for a short stay.

Overall our stay was nice but they didn’t replenish the tea bags and water, we were there for two nights and only allowed 2 tea bags for the two night, reception said they don’t give more. Wasn’t clear on checking in where the room was, my husband has a bad leg and looking around for the room caused a lot of unnecessary walking and discomfort. The shower was a wet room and water was coming out under the door into the room. Location was good and out look beautiful.

For us the location was quiet but with suitable facilities near by. Restaurant for evening was functional & rooms are furnished minimalistically but ok. The only thing for me was that even though we were always first to the restaurant, whilst there was an good range of main dishes, desserts were limited in choice. Also, the 'hot' food was tepid in temperature even though we got there first.

We were disappointed that the hotel was over 1.5 kms walk to the outskirts of town. Thankfully there is a small commercial area opposite for food and drink options.
Our room was comfortable enough, the beds quite firm, pillows were lumpy, but the aircon is atrocious- it heats to an uncomfortable temperature then the cooling kicks in and you're cold.
The buffet breakfast has enough variety to satisfy most. Parking onsite is free and the wifi unreliable as it is slow and continually drops out. Like most hotels, they advertise as being eco friendly but there is never anywhere to hang the towels!
Would we stay again? No.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Amphora. It seems to be a relatively new property and it appears there are plans to expand. We had the Comfort Suite in unit 4 and it was HUGE. My only criticism is that they don’t have USB outlets. The plugs are like in the U.K. so be sure to bring an adapter. The front desk kindly lent us one for our stay.

The hotel is situated in the middle of the boardwalk about a 15 minute walk from the harbor (note: no shade). However, you can also take the 611 bus there. The 611 bus in the other direction will take you to the water park. It costs 6€ for a family of 4 to take the bus one way.

In addition, there is a supermarket, pharmacy, and restaurants across the street.

The buffet breakfast was great with a choice of fruit/vegetables, cereal, eggs three ways, and a nice selection of cheeses. Plus there are pancakes or French toast. I wish they included some Cypriot specialties like tzatziki though.

Overall the entire property was spotless and well maintained. The staff were super helpful and accommodating. When we were slated to leave to the airport at 6:30 am, they prepared sandwiches for us to take.

The kids enjoyed the pool somewhat. The kiddie pool is a bit too shallow and the adult pool is a bit too deep. They need something 4 feet deep.

They also need to invest in organizing evening activities for the kids. For instance, set up a movie projector and have a movie for the kids.

Would definitely stay here again.

Never got a chance to see this place. They do not have the services/amenities as advertised. I tried to book this place last minute for my wife because she had delayed flights and was arriving at the airport very late at night and alone, so I wanted her to have a shuttle waiting for her. I booked it and called about 9 hours before her arrival. When calling to arrange an airport shuttle the first person dismissed my concerns for my wife and belittled me. My wife was sexually assaulted by the “safe” Cab driver she had to get in the end. So her assessment of the safety was wrong. That person transferred me after I pushed to get a shuttle for my wife and the next person made up a new rules about what it took to get a shuttle, but then offered it for €40, which I was willing to pay. Turns out she was just trying to steal my credit card information (wouldn’t tell me her name after asking for my credit card number). If you’re a solo female, avoid Cyprus. If you’re traveling to Cyprus anyways, avoid this hotel with scammers and liars.

Soulless and no character.

I had high expectations for this hotel. The photos make it much nicer than it is.
First of all, the hotel is so soul-less and has no character. Its a mass of concrete and not much else. Barley any plants or trees in sight. Especially at the front.
The rooms are ultra sparse and minial furnishings. Which makes the room cold and dreary. Especially the main sitting space. Which is a desk and a small couch in an oversized area. Also the balcony has simple and uncomfortable plastic chairs and a small table. No comfort and not an enjoyable space to sit and relax.
The feel of the whole facilty is like a prison.
Very strange design and set up.
The pool area is not that appealing. The same goes the bar and outdoor seating.
The staff are mostly indifferent aswell.
The only redeeming feature was that the breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. Although breakfast should start earlier than 8am.
A generally depressing place, that i would not really recommend.

We recently stayed at Amphora Hotel and Suites and everything was great.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and we mostly slept well. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The staff seemed friendly and were generally efficient and helpful.

The location is ideal, just far enough from the harbour to be fairly quiet but near enough to be able to walk there in 20 mins.

There are also some lovely restaurants within easy walking distance - Lichnari Tavern was our favourite!

If buildings could speak, this one would be screaming “Run Away”

This hotel looks like a building from Chernobyl; and not like a 4 Star hotel.

Very little in the room beside a bed, and a bathroom. A/C not working, room very hot and unbearable. Rude and unprofessional reception staff not willing to resolve issues.

Don't be fooled by the relative cheapness and proximity to Paphos, this so called 'hotel' is in fact some sort of large scale psychological experiment about human suffering and gullibility,\"

The sheets on the bed looked like they had enjoyed a long career in a particularly messy and degrading part of the adult film industry. If there is an opposite to memory foam (amnesia foam?) that is what the bed was made of.

Summary: Noisy, Unclean, Unsafe, Poor Maintenance, Unhelpful Staff, tourist trap.

Do your research before booking.

Upon arriving at the hotel i had a earlier check-in, but wasn't able to get a free room upgrade as I'm a VIP Gold member on here ! Apparently the hotel didn't sign up for membership rewards, so you get what you pay for.

The superior double room, was on the ground floor with a view of the swimming pools and people sitting outside on loungers and deck chairs. The TV in the room had two English channels and the mini fridge was small, but there was a bath and shower and plenty of cupboard space.

Also i had a full buffet breakfast with my booking, which was lovely overlooking the beach and Paphos Coast.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and it's wasn't good value for money !

I booked a superior room with a balcony and received a ground floor room with a garden (which was a mess and full of cigarette ends) The bath had a hole in it which had been badly patched up and the sink has a crack.
I’ve stayed here a few times over the years however this will definitely be my last. Good points, breakfast decent and the hotel is positioned in a great spot.

The pool and breakfast were great. The room was fine, but some small things could be improved - e.g. the shower didn't drain well and required a carefully placed bathmat to stop water leaving the bathroom. The wifi is totally open and perhaps because of this is very slow/inconsistent. Finally, they do not receive or respond to messages sent using Hotels.com direct messaging so I did not have a free airport transfer from the airport as they didn't get my multiple messages. Apparently, their inability to receive these direct messages was my problem.

Very nice hotel on the \"beach.\" There really isn't much in the way of sandy beach here, for that stay at the east end of Cyprus. But this hotel is very nice (and among the lowest priced) with a large lawn for lounging close to the Mediterranean. There is a nice walkway along the water that will lead you to the city for a bite to eat or shopping. Ample parking and close to local Roman ruins. Front desk was reasonably helpful but not as cheerful as we had experienced elsewhere. Excellent breakfast included.

Really great trip. The hotel is in a great location, right on the beach. There are lots of chairs and umbrellas to use to shade from the sun. Quick 20 minute walk along the boardwalk to get to the Harbour.
The airport transfer bus was really useful as well, though we couldn't use it on the way to the hotel. I requested it but never heard from the hotel to confirm.
Apart from that, it was a lovely stay and I would stay here again.

Had a really nice week’s stay at Amphora. It is a bright, modern and stylish hotel and setting. Loved the sea view out of the wide windows and balcony. You get to watch some beautiful sunsets. The hotel is set right on the coast with loungers and lawns leading down to the promenade and branch access. Loads of comfy loungers and umbrellas here and poolside. A 20 minute walk along the coast path takes you to the heart of Paphos harbour and all the entertainment there. A further 15 mins beyond that and you are at the Kings Ave Shopping Mall. Loved the range and quality of the breakfast at the hotel. Only slight niggle is the amount of food waste that must happen and the overloading of plates by guests.

Overall of fab experience, lovely hotel and we’d definitely go back.

We only stayed one night. I thought it was poor value . The bathroom floor around the toilet didn’t look clean. The settee in the lounge looked very shabby. We were unable to open a window for ventilation overnight, the bedroom patio door was screwed down. The window in the lounge opened onto the stairwell / outside of building and was easily accessible should someone wish to enter. I found the bed too firm for my liking. The breakfast was good and the dining room was clean. The staff in the dining room were friendly, reception staff were helpful. The location is good, right next to the sea and the path down to Paphos harbor

Great breakfast, but no cypriot coffee. The beds are very uncomfortable and super narrow. The kind receptionist suggested some sort of cushions to cover the springy mattress, but then the afternoon receptionist said they don't have any. We asked again in few days and they brought cushions, but it made little difference. Unfortunately, we did not sleep well while at the resort.

The hotel is in an excellent location next to the promenade to the port, with a wonderful view of the sea and beautifully landscaped surroundings. All the receptionists, chefs, wait staff...are extremely friendly and hospitable, ready to serve the guest and answer all questions. The food was delicious, varied, rich and adapted to different tastes. Our suite was also very spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was really big. The hotel was perfect for us. No frills but all good. Welcome was excellent. Breakfast food very good. Sunbeds in grassed area are a little tired and uncomfortable with a bar running underneath. Could benefit from a mattress similar to those beds on the concrete area near the pool
The location of the hotel is ideal .

Great suites in Pafos

The Amphora was a great place to stay. We were there only one night--we wanted to stay longer but they were booked up. Nice large room with great views. Grounds are nice if a bit spartan. The nice thing about this hotel is it is a little smaller compared to the behemoths nearby. I appreciated less people and great amenities.

Nice stay

Modern, clean, spacious room. Nice towels, and full series of hotel shampoo, conditioner, vanity set etc. Good breakfast and good service/ friendly staff. Also, very good location near sodap beach which is good and with all facilities.
The sea view is not the same for all rooms/blocks. Our room was on the backside blocks/ ground floor so you had a direct view to the pool and you could see the sea behind the pool. Still a good view but I assume that the higher floors and front blocks have a better overview, similar to the one in the web picture. I dont know if there is a price differentiation based on the view. If so, pictures of the view should adjust accordingly.
The only thing that i did not like is the pathway to access the room was not straight forward. You had to walk towards a concrete path, get the stairs or elevator to go one floor down and the view opposite the entrance door was just concrete. I think this was not the case in other blocks. Most of them seem to have garden around. I would suggest to add more trees and plants near the pathways to make it more welcoming.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

First of all the service is awful. We had an awful smell from the bath, like a dead animal. Secondly we ate 2 times in the restaurant of the hotel for breakfast- at both , we had hair (apparently from the chef’s head) in our food. On time in the omelette and in the second inside the cheese. When we complained about it the managers transfer us from one to another and at the end the restaurant said it is ok and if don’t like we should not come. Very disappointed. And even more- when we ask from the reception to call a cab for us. It took more than 20 minutes (the city is small every drive is less than 10 min. )

This hotel is UN-RECOMMENDED. so disappointed!

Good for money but need to improve

Smaill hotel , but very close to beautiful beach travel road,God prize for money
But for family need to upgrade pool put shadow
Hotel ok but again not enough shadow at the area all open
Parking at reconstruction need to finish( elevator not working from parking)
Good hotel but have a few point to improve 😀
