From the moment we checked in the Hotel staff were very helpful & friendly & the beautiful Christmas tree & decorations was very welcoming.
The staff at breakfast & in all the bar & restaurant areas were all 1st class with excellent service.
Our room was very clean & spacious & our balcony with partial sea views was much better than expected.
As we stayed in November there was not a shortage of sunbeds available but there are plenty of areas to sit & the position of the hotel was great too & so lovely to be able to step straight onto the beach. The walk to the harbour from the hotel is very pleasant.
We couldn’t find fault with anything & would stay again & definitely recommend.

Bad check in experience. The lady at check in must have been having a bad day. I asked if there was any free upgrades, which we’d been given on our last 2 visits. She seemed to object to this and said “You’re already in a sea view room” (which we’d paid for). On our previous visit we’d been upgraded to a delux room. Our package said “With free welcome drink”. As there was nothing in the room I asked her about this she told me there was a small bottle of water in the fridge!!🙄. Then the other lady on Reception said we could go to the bar to get something 😊.
Our room was good except the bed mattress was old and dipped in the middle, meaning I didn’t sleep well, also it was so creaky that just moving my feet caused it to creak 😢.
Food looked very nice, but I couldn’t enjoy it as after our first evening meal I had an upset stomach, which lasted the rest of our time there 🤔☹️😢. So all in all, not as good a stay as we’d hoped for. We won’t be returning. It was our third but last visit ☹️☹️.

The beach was almost non existent. There is a very small section behind the hotel that they call a beach. It is almost entirely made up of rocks with little or no sand, which is typical of that part of the coast.
We specifically booked this hotel as we wanted somewhere with a decent beach, so we chose this place because of its name, unfortunately we were duped.
But that wasn't all that disappointed. The quality of the breakfast foods was woeful and we were unable to have a typical Cypriot coffee each morning as there was no facility to make them let alone find anyone that knew how to make them.
We felt our stay here was not just a waste of money but a waste of 3 days of our holiday.

2nd visit to Aquamare. Overall stay excellent. Staff are hardworking and friendly. Food choice and availability superb. Local transport links fab and bus stop just outside. External recycling facilities visible, but not present in the room. Entertainment not great, but plenty of variety from the neighbouring hotels and Pafos town centre within walking distance if you are moderately active. We ate dinner, took bus to Pafos and walked along the seafront back to hotel most nights.

Staff are friendly, food is good ample selection. Room was dated, bedding did not smell clean, bins emptied daily but bathroom was not cleaned as dirty marks on mirror. Floor was not cleaned in the room. The hotel is more like a 3 star and not 4 star. Stayed in 4 star hotels all over Greece which are far superior to Aquamare Hotel.

This was a two night stay to attend a wedding at a nearby, more expensive all inclusive hotel, but we did not require all the food/drink facilities. The Aqua Mare provided us with a clean, comfortable room with good wi-fi, & shower, a good breakfast & free parking. Had we had the time we could have used the pool & other amenities, so unable to comment about these. Reception staff & most waiting staff very friendly. Beach possibly a bit rocky for our liking.

VIP benefits form onekey not honoured, had to escalate 3 times and didn’t until second day. 1 small bottle of water for the entire stay. Rooms shabby and in poor condition. Signs prevent you from bringing in food/drink from supermarket. Significant number of facilities not working and hadn’t been for some time including sauna, steam room and jacquizi. Indoor pool was in poor unhygienic condition with parts of the ceiling falling off into the water, and calcium build up on side, both pool and hot tub also had a layer of grime - don’t get cleaned. The outdoor pool says no lifeguard on duty on sign but a very rude member of staff comes around shouting at people for being in the pool with no lifeguard. The outdoor area of the hotel in poor condition and hasn’t been cared for, for some time, with dead grass, broken furniture & mouldy umbrellas. Priority given to functions with areas of cordoned off and improved for those guests. Food& drink poor quality, very complicated process around singing out beach towels involving a fine if you lose paper. Local entertainment was worse than karaoke, and staff seemed more interested in conversations with each other. Whole place gave off cheap Benidorm vibes for double the price! We raised concerns and fobbed off with offer to for all inclusive rather than fixing issues, we wouldn’t have benefited as out during the day, both hotel and hotels.com refused to give refund due to “hotels no refund policy” and only replied after multiple chasers.

Ran into some problems when the fridge didn't work. Took several tries to get them to replace it. In addition, the TV showed a picture that explained that you could connect to it with a HDMI, which I had. It didn't work and the front desk wasn't able to help. Didn't understand what I was talking about.

Pool lot smaller than it actually looks on the photo, but adequate enough and as on the beachfront, you can always pop in the sea! Service great, had a couple of issues on arrival with our room, but they sorted everything as soon as possible and were always polite and courteous. Have to say the maid service for our room 621 was not what I would expect from this level of hotel, but one bad egg doesn't spoil an omelette!! The spa was lovely!

Perfectly pleasant, could find better

As part of our booking we were informed to expect a welcome drink on arrival which we did not receive and a 20% food and drink voucher which we did. We were told we could use the voucher at any of the hotel bars and restaurants which proved to be a problem throughout our stay as this was clearly not communicated as anywhere we tried to use it we were informed we could not. The receptionists on arrival were perfectly pleasant and informed us that we had been given a room upgrade so we were over the moon. The room was lovely up on the 6th floor, not much of a view from the balcony but we were certainly not fussed by that. The only issue we had with the room was that no matter what temperature we set the shower too it would have extreme changes in temperature that were brief but semi-regular and meant the showers were not relaxing. The room was cleaned daily apart from once which we were unsure as to why but the cleaners were very pleasant and helpful. The drinks throughout our stay were lovely, particularly the frozen Bellini, would highly recommend and there was one particularly sweet and enthusiastic woman working at the bar who was the highlight of this hotel alongside the spa. She could not do enough for you and her enthusiasm was unmatched, some of the staff could take a leaf out of her book. The hotel is right up against the beach which was lovely and the pool was often quiet, again, lovely but certainly cold enough to wake us up and sober us up. The spa is a must

The staff were excellent.
The hotel itself was clean enough, the quality of the food was terrible and cheap. Most of what was advertised was not open/available. The hotel was pretty much shut off to paying guests for a wedding. When raising a complaint the receptionist got very defensive and argumentative so there was no point in trying to talk about it.

We were given a room in the basement of the hotel. To access the room we had to use “staff only” corridors but were told to ignore this. The room was next to the kitchen and was on a thoroughfare for the housekeeping trolleys. We were kept awake until gone midnight by the noise of trolleys constantly passing our room, the door had light coming in all round the frame so there was no soundproofing to reduce this noise. At 0630 we were then awoken by the sound of the kitchen coming to life, with crashing of crockery and cutlery which continued for the rest of the morning fairly continuously. We only stayed two nights, we moved to a better room for the second night but it seriously ruined our stay and I don’t think the hotel should be offering this as a room, especially not as a premium offering….apparently I took a room downgrade to move into the actual hotel and not stay down a service corridor!!!

Quiet Location- Great Food

This was a really pleasant hotel about 3km from the centre of Pafos. There were no noisy children's attractions and the vibe was definitely intended for adults. Rooms were well cleaned everyday although there was a tendency for the staff to forget to replace the used cups and glasses in the rooms. For us the highlight of the hotel was the food - beautifully cooked by a chef who clearly new what he was doing. Food was varied everynight and presented via a self service buffet. the deserts were to die for!

If buildings could speak, this one would be screaming “Run Away”

This hotel looks like a building from Chernobyl; and not like a 4 Star hotel.

Very little in the room beside a bed, and a bathroom.

Don't be fooled by the relative cheapness and proximity to Paphos , this so called 'hotel' is in fact some sort of large scale psychological experiment about human suffering and gullibility,\"

The sheets on the bed looked like they had enjoyed a long career in a particularly messy and degrading part of the adult film industry. If there is an opposite to memory foam (amnesia foam?) that is what the bed was made of.

Summary: Noisy, Unclean, Unsafe, Poor Maintenance, Unhelpful Staff, tourist trap.

Lovely hotel, the breakfast and dinner was great. We experienced earthquake at night which was new for us, wish reception had warned us, that such things happen and what to do. The indoor pool it was said heated, it was cold water. We had a courtyard view facing the road, every night there me some street racing, so if you want quitness get earplugs or a different facing room.

Im always one to try and upgrade our room on arrival but this hotel was great from the off... parking really easy, the room was massive with sofa and fridge, view was amazing, pool was big and deep, all the all inclusive food was really nice and a good selection of snacks if you missed a meal.
The only thing i can say thats bad is that the all inclusive drinks could be a bit better as you can only get the cheap vodka in cocktails so expect a heavy head in the morning. Also the beach wasn't great but still nice to be able to jump in the sea in the morning. The outdoor manager and bar staff were absolutely fantastic and very bubbly and helpful. All in all a great spot at a good price definitely recommend 👌

Overall it was ‘ok’! The lobby area was pretty and I liked the water on entry. Complimentary drink in room is a nice touch but would have been better to offer this from the bar (I don’t drink red wine) I would rather have had a choice.
There wasn’t enough plug sockets near mirrors to do hair…… if double bed requested this should be honoured.
Housekeeping left a dirty cup in the room for 2 days, I had to ask another to take it away.
The endless sound of water filling up the toilet through the night was annoying. During showers the water keeping getting very hot, almost as thoughtful the cold es being used in another room which affected mine.
The pizza ordered via room service wasn’t very nice, not cooked through enough.
Bacon and sausage very dangerously high salt content but the omelette was really nice. Or he juice be apple juice over sweet.
Information should be available in each room i.e the number for reception, where to locate the iron, the air dyer was screwed inside draw very strange … would be better attached in the bathroom.

The most positive would be the view from the balcony….. it was quite spectacular! Watching the sunrise every morning was beautiful….. something I always wanted the opportunity to do, for that thank you.

Aquamare is a lovely 4* hotel on the beach promenade, around 40-45 minute walking distance from the Harbour. I enjoyed my stay, I can't really complain about anything. I really liked the food, very healthy with lots of fish, veggie meals and various salads. Not sure if beach is hotel's responsibility in Cyprus, but this beach probably needed a bit of the cleaning. Also Aquamare beach is quite rocky, so I prefered to use other beaches around with more sand. But otherwise I had a very pleasent stay, I would be very happy to book again. Almost forgot to mention the staff, very friendly and helpful. Great holiday!!!

We booked 3 night stay all inclusive with the hope of relaxing indoor pool, enjoying a drinking and food. For the food I just can give my compliments to the chief and team! Great stuff! For the indoor pool and closed restaurants I just can say...sorry! Covid excuse works for everything today even if the hotels arounds us were all open for indoor pool and sauna etc...It's just sad and for sure management can do a better job or if not at least update the info for the hotel saying facilities are closed so no more customers can wait for something that they will not get. In general good staff and good rooms.

The whole experience has been relaxing and lovely. Shame indoor pool was close due to covid. We had massage its the best one ever i had. Laila/Jocelyn delivered a professional service and made us feel queen for a day. Breakfast was all u can asked for massive selection and you can even order different type of eggs just how you want cook. Dinner was very nice each night we had different selection of food which is very delicious. Service staff from catering, reception, bar was very polite helpful and friendly. Beware touching cats as my friend got bitten/scratched and need to have tetanus injection once came back to UK. Receptionist help to clean the wound, she was very helpful to make sure it was disinfected. We would came back again next year. The hotel shop should stock snacks like crisps, biscuits and more variety of souvenir items as there's is no other shops near by.

The property is okay, if a little older and out of style. We were only there for 1 night on business so we did not really spend time at the pool or the wider property. The room was comfortable. We have to point out that the check in process was not very friendly. It could have just been a bad time, but we got that feeling across our stay. I am also a Gold member of Hotels.com and the listing promised a few amenities like a welcome drink and bottle of wine, but they were not provided. And usually we would hope for a room upgrade when the property is not busy like during this trip, but they did not accommodate us. I think some hotels go out of their way to show you they appreciate your business, and some don't.. like this one.

The hotel is very pretty and well landscaped. The staff were exceptional especially Marina - one of the waitresses - who was so warm and welcoming. Just a few basic thoughts regarding improvements that could be made - there was no information in the rooms about the hotel and it’s amenities, the white towels had lost their colour and could do with a change. Lastly a pen and a little notepad would have been handy.

Okay hotel, \"free\" breakfast a total bummer

Okay hotel, but we had an early flight the morning we were supposed to check out so we asked for breakfast to be ready to go.
All they offered was stale bread with literally nothing on it, which was a bummer because they promised we would get a decent breakfast, juice machine was also turned off.
Needed to buy food a airport because of this, would have rather they said they don't do early breakfast to go so I could have just bought something at supermarket at a reasonable price the day before checkout :(

Very good location, kids love swimming pool, breakfast also nice and fresh. Chefs make delicious dinner every night! Helpful receptionist and waiters! Highly recommended! We had 5* service, definitely back again!

3 night stay

Had a lovely 3 night break. Good value for money. Food was good although hot plates would've been nice for the main course. Tavanaki bar could've done with more staff. Marina was lovely and friendly. Pool area had quite a bit of rubbish lying around didn't appear to be tidied up at all during the day. I think the Hotel should think about being more environmental friendly there were lots of disposal plastic cups thrown away. Might consider using refillable shower gel as no-one really needs all those freebie toiletries. Could do with some entertainment in the evenings.
Overall a nice weekend and we would visit again. Thank you

Don't go there!

Do not recommend! They charge over everything and have hidden fees, they don't even serve water for free at dinner... We asked to cancel the 2nd day and they didn't allow us to speak with someone that can help (also hotels.com dont have a working email - so def. do not book with them! You will get no service), all in all a very expensive and not worthwhile stay.

Fantastic location, right on the beach. Second time I have been there. Lovely pool and surrounding area. Friendly and very helpful staff. Marina is wonderful.
