The hotel has a dull atmosphere with no evening entertainment, which made the stay quite boring. My room was listed as an inland view, but it actually faced the kids’ club. The furniture was old and worn out, with peeling wood on the side tables, and the shower tiles had black mould that came off easily when I scrubbed with my nail — so it just needed a better clean.

I spoke with the manager, who was understanding but couldn’t move us as the hotel was fully booked. He kindly sent a bottle of bubbles and a fruit platter, which I appreciated.

Staff work hard, but service felt slow and inattentive. Both mornings I had to call a waitress to get coffee at breakfast, and overall I didn’t feel noticed as a guest.

I booked this hotel because it’s part of the same group as Anassa, but it doesn’t compare. The hotel is generally clean apart from the bathroom tiles, but the materials and furniture feel cheap, The spa view is beautiful, but the furniture around the café looks tired. The beach is difficult to access as you have to climb down a wall, though the pools are very nice.

Overall, it’s an average stay — I’d give it 3 stars.

Wonderful hotel, with great views & lovely surroundings.
Very clean rooms with comfortable beds, bedding & plenty of soft towels & designer toiletries.
Different pools to suit everyone.
Delicious restaurants on site & a very varied choice at Buffet breakfast.
Excellent, friendly & helpful staff from greeting on arrival, right through reception, restaurants, bars & housekeeping staff all the way to guest relations & hotel general manager nothing but praise for all staff who helped make us feel very relaxed & at home.
Can’t wait to return.

Had an ocean view room. Very nice The property was beautiful and the pool areas just wonderful. Staff so friendly from the bell hop to the front desk to the bartenders. We loved our stay and would love to come back. Only improvement might be on the bed and pillows. Not super comfortable. The shower was AMAZING!

I had the most basic room which was great at it was clean and had everything we needed (no balcony but just meant we spent more time outside). Staff in particular Thanos were great. Would be good if he could have more help by the spa during busy times. The lifeguards looked like children themselves so it was good that I can swim! Stunning hotel with friendly staff! Omg wow! Such a beautiful hotel and a great experience. We loved it. November is a great time to go as it’s calm and quiet in the hotel and around the pool. The only poor point was the restaurant by the sea; it was overpriced and not as good as the Greek taverna over the road. We will be back soon.

The Almyra is so good, we cut our stay at the Blue Lagoon short, to go back to the Almyra after staying there during the first half of our holiday. The Almyra is fantastically located, the staff are extremely helpful, friendly and efficient, treating everyone with courtesy. Marcus, who works at Almyra is an absolute delight and a fantastic character. He really made our stay, showing us around the hotel and always greeting us with a massive smile and hug.
The hotel provides kosher breakfast options, which whilst limited, provides a nice variety for those that require it. The view from our Sea View room was wonderful. The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the harbour and 15 minutes from the pier. There is an abundance of restaurant options available within a 5 minute walk, including 4 kosher restaurants. There is a sandy beach to the left and water sports available on the door step of the hotel.
The spa is nice and there are three pools and a tennis court on site.

Some suggestions but nothing that has spoiled our experience - breakfast mushrooms always tasted of vinegar, vegetarian meals need a bit of focus/care. On our second week the hotel was deluged by young children which spoiled the harmony and we were surprised that the adult pool area had also been taken over so we didn't use the pool that week.

Parking very convenient right next to the hotel.
Two clean outdoor pools.
Gym closes in the evening so did not have a chance to visit.

Hotel ideally located close to town on beachfront. Delicious breakfast and very pleasant dining area. We were given a frontline suite overlooking sea with private sunbeds on grass which was excellent.
Only area of possible improvement are pool sunbeds which are reserved by guests with towels very early and in short supply.

This is my 3rd time staying at this Hotel. The staff and amenities are 5*. The upgrade works carry out on the property since my last stay are 5*. Food 5*, Spa and Gym 5*, Pool areas 5*, Location 5*.
The only fault I have with the Almyra is the reception I would only rate this 3*. The same issues on my previous stays with reception, check your bill and if late check out is needed I would suggest tell them this at the start of your stay and not the day before as requested.
As you do not have to deal with reception on a daily basis I would recommend this Hotel.

Great hotel but would benefit from a face lift

We received a warm welcome on arrival. I can’t remember the gentlemen’s name but the guy who checked us in couldn’t have been more helpful. Our room was one of the inland facing rooms which could have done with a face lift. It’s probably a strange thing to comment on, but there were a lot of trees on that side of the hotel with really loud bugs living in the trees! They were so loud that they became very apparent when we wanted to go to sleep! The bed, although not the comfiest at first and I’m pretty sure had a dip at the end of the bed, we did sleep really well!
The two family pools were so busy we were unable to find a spare bed on the first morning. We think families secured their beds then went for breakfast. We soon discovered the adults pool which was great. The breakfast buffet had fairly decent variety. We ate at different restaurants each evening both at Almyra and Annabelle’s l which were excellent. Being half board some of the restaurants offered a choice of 3 courses. Others allowed you to spend an allowance of 35 euros towards your meal which given most of the dishes were 20 euros + we found we were then having to contribute quite significantly to the total cost of the meal. Although the restaurants were premium we didn’t feel like it was that good value for money and should have done breakfast only and eaten out at local tavernas instead. Would have sampled more local cuisine that way too.
Overall we did have an enjoyable stay though.

This is a nice hotel in a very nice area. But it is pricey for what it offered. I paid over $450 per day for a sea view room to get one that I had to stand up to see the sea. Staff were nice to re-locate us to a higher floor. Then the room wasn't properly prepared. Balcony door wasn't locking, air conditioning labored hard and couldn't keep cool, fan in bathroom wasn't functioning, a light bulb needed replacement, shampoo etc. were not replenished. Then at check-in our passports were scanned, and the images kept for \"security\", to which we objected and asked that they delete the images and only keep the names and number for ID. This is a reason for us not to return.

Where do we start?

What an amazing place to visit and stay. We loved the venue as a whole. It was certainly a class above the others within the surrounding area. The infinity pool was not open due to being renovated and the evening dining at Notios was unavailable due to the time of year which was a real shame because we would have loved to try both.

The only real gripe we had was with the Ouzeri restaurant. We were disappointed with the quality of food and service at the restaurant yet on the face of it, the restaurant was in a beautiful location by the sea which was the initial attraction for us. Unfortunately, the service felt rushed and the food was not mind-blowing for the price paid - around £70 for lunch! In comparison to the lunch we had at Notios, there was a notable difference which was perplexing given that they are part of the same company. Notios was incredible.

As we were unable to have an evening meal at Notios, we went to Antasia which was a recommendation by the staff at Almyra as the chef is one previously from Notios. The food and service were both devine.

Overall, the hotel; staff, facilities and food were absolutely amazing and served as the perfect venue for a week away. We will definitely return to Almyra and hope that we get to try Notios as well as the infinity pool next time around.

Cannot control room temperature

The hotel may be rated as 5 stars but the rooms are definitely not 5 stars. Guests do not have the ability to control the room temperature which is a big issue in winter or summer. The thermostat is useless and from the 80s. Definitely not 5 stars (see pic). Folks working at the hotel are very nice and tried to help remediate but there was not much they could do.

I really enjoyed my stay at Almyra. The location is great--right on the water but close to plenty of shops and restaurants, too. The staff here is incredible. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The members of the wait staff in the restaurant are especially fantastic. They would come over with another cappuccino at breakfast before I even asked! The buffets at both dinner and breakfast were tasty. I got the half-board package, and it was really a good value. Although I didn't take advantage of it, there was also the option of going to Annabelle, the sister hotel next door, and ordering a la carte with a 20 Euro credit. I appreciated appreciated having PCR testing in the lobby. It makes pandemic travel so much easier. My test results came back in less than 8 hours, I think. Overall, I really enjoyed the Almyra hotel. I would recommend it. The design is nice, and the value for money is great.

I booked to stay at the Almyra based on the strength of positive reviews that I had read by previous guests. I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a fantastic hotel in so many respects.
Upon arrival, without even asking, or booking was upgraded to a spacious Junior Suite.
We ate and drank in most of not all of the hotels bars and restaurants, each of which was excellent. We swam in the three pools.
The staff are very helpful and friendly.
I wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending the Almyra to anyone thinking about staying in Paphos and looking for a conveniently located 5* hotel.
We swam every morning in the sea just a couple of minutes from the hotel and walked into the port area in the evenings for bars and shops.
I really can’t fault the Almyra, it’s just excellent.

Whilst the hotel is beautiful unfortunately the level of service from the staff is not even close to 5 star. The staff are not welcoming at all and make you feel like you are inconveniencing them at the slightest request. At the restaurant, the staff don’t even look across to see if you need service, we had to constantly raise our had to order food or more drinks. I wanted so badly to enjoy my stay at Almrya and believe I would have if the staff had been more attentive and welcoming. Upon check out, the staff on reception did not even ask how our stay was, for a supposedly 5* hotel I was expecting more and unfortunately won’t be staying again.

We stayed in the Almyra hotel for two nights during our anniversary.
The check in process did take longer then you would expect. However we did get a nice room facing the sea.
The room is a slightly outdated, but extremely clean and welcoming.
The food is great, and pool area is very relaxing if you choose the spa pool.
We received a very nice cake on our anniversary, which is a very nice gesture, thanks to Laura.
We would definitely return to the Almyra again.

Even though I arrived late st the hotel, our room was not ready. However the reception staff were very helpful and accommodating but didn’t even offer us a drink whilst we were waiting for our room...
The pools could do with some cleaning...the room was very spacious but with very basic fixtures and fittings...the rest of the hotel is pretty nice but it’s obvious that there were a lot of cutbacks in the decor and it’s a shame...
The prices are quite pricey and a visitor would expect a higher standard of service and finish.,,

The only issue was that I couldn't eat or drink in the hotel ereas any food or drinks from the outside...I can understand not allowing food, but to sit at the lobby and drink from a can, shouldn't be a problem in my opinion.

The property is not 4 star for sure, rooms are old, the A/C is turned off in the afternoon, when we asked why, they said technical problems (for 4 days). The A/C sound is very high. The service is very weak.

Very nice hotel for relaxing few days at the pool

Nice hotel. A bit old but looks good. We had standard sea view room and it was clean and spacious. The hotel is very accessible as we were with a stroller for the baby. We didn't use the SPA since we were with 1.5 year old child. However, the hotel offers two swimming pools that are clean and very nice. The food is good. The staff in the pool area and the restaurants are amazing. Two complaints that we had. The bed was not comfortable at all unfortunately. And strangely enough, they asked us when we arrived if we are celebrating something in our stay and we mentioned that I will be celebrating my birthday in the last day, however, this is the first hotel that i have been in, that didn't offer any gift (at least a cheap bottle of prosecco)...

Almyra is Greek for salty.

I stayed alone at this hotel. I was put in a room that is intended for persons with accessibility needs. The location of this room was therefor nearer to the front reception and lobby area. The hotel holds regular performances in its lobby area, and the elevator was directly adjacent to the room’s main access point. Needless to say, the noise carried from the front area straight into the room. After settling in to the room and discovering this issue, I made my concerns known to the staff. The noise would simmer down towards the late evening when I would fall asleep and be woken again by the bustle of the hotel and cleaning staff vacuuming outside of my room (banging the door with the vacuum at 7AM). At checkout I received an apology from one staff member (Cypriot) only to have another staff member (UK) tell me that if I wanted to, I could have moved. Given that the room was intended for easier access, I believe that greater considerations should be given to this room than perhaps any other in the hotel. Regardless of whether or not I could have/should have moved, the staff were inconsistent in their service ethic; and showed no care or consideration for my comfort. Furthermore, the room I was allocated has no business being allocated to guests paying full price for the privilege. I would never again stay at Almyra or any of its associated properties.

The property is really well maintained, the pools and surroundings are kept to an extremely high standard. The leisure center is calm and relaxed and also kept to a high standard. Food is excellent(in all 3 restaurants) and staff are friendly and attentive. The whole facility has just a calming and relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be planning a trip back.

We've recently returned from a week's stay at the hotel. We had a fab time and the staff always made sure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, including providing a small birthday cake for my partner, which was a wonderful surprise for him.

The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of choices to pick from each morning and the Ouzeri restaurant is worth trying if you like seafood with a sea view!
