Mediocre, price doesn’t justify the package

There’s not enough character to leave a proper review. However, the positives are: staff at the bar outside are very friendly (in the middle of the apartments, not near reception).
Now for the negatives: bugs upon arrival, broken stuff (eg: window off the hinges) and door handle (these did get resolved fairly quickly), food was floppy, unflavourful and very tailored to the British palette. Ever had scrambled eggs that tasted like clay?

I know this place was good. But I felt like things need improving. Like a lot. Crispy bacon shouldn’t flop. It should be crispy.

And this is from someone who is cypriot and has stayed in worse hotels.

Was not treated well, by the hotel as Expedia said they would contact and change the date it took them 7 days to get back to me the hotel finally sent me a message the day after i was supposed to book in, no apologies, no help, and just sorry we are fully booked for your new date, terrible service they take you money get paid by the booking company you use as well. and you get treated so badly.

all the staff were incredibly friendly. We liked the pool area, its large and kids had a great time, located 5min walk to the beach and 10min walk to Chabad restaurant. The apartment is suitable for families, it has a a generous size living area and good kitchen facilities but very basic decor, basic shower (no bath) and there were only sheets and a thin cover on the beds.

An excellent resort for everyone. Plenty to do. Apartments are a good size perhaps a little dated and needs an up date and refurb. Staff are outstanding in all departments. Wonderful restaurants near by. A little walk to the main supermarket and has every thing you need. Very pleasant.
Close to the beach and promenade with a lovely walk in both directions with plenty of cafes on route. Evening entertainment more than expected at this time of year. Well worth a stay. We highly recommend.

Staff provided excellent service. All areas of the resort were very clean. Staff were visibly doing their jobs well.

It’s a 3 star hotel - which they are slowly updating. This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed and although the hotel is looking tired inside, the outside area (pools) are lovely and it’s so close to Pafos Harbour. The staff are also lovely and helpful.

On arrival got put in a room at the very back of the hotel site, it smelled, was very outdated, builders working on an apartment opposite and right near the main road. We asked to be moved, which they did the following morning and much better room nearer the hotel main building. The food was ok, but nothing exciting and certainly wouldn’t want to be all inclusive. The whole hote needs some TLC, the outdoor pool was freezing, colder than the sea, the indoor pool some days was warm some days was cold. Overall wouldn’t stay here again.

Property was OK. Some problem about apartment. They offered kitchen in apartment, but we didn't have any kitchen towels, some sponges and any liquid for clinning. If you living to airport before breakfast, you cannot get something for eating later. It was bad experience to get any food.

I needed somewhere to stay whilst looking for a property to buy. The hotel's location was quite a walk to the harbour area so I would recommend a car to get around easily. The main hotel and restaurant area are well looked after but the apartment I stayed in needs to be updated. The rooms were cleaned regularly and the staff were very friendly.

Dated 3 star accommodation with attentive staff

We had an early flight, which was just as well, as upon arrival and completing our check in at the Paphos Gardens Hotel, we were informed that they did not have a room for us (family of 4, children aged 16 and 15). We had completed the booking only a week before and flew out the 25th August 2017. This was resolved but did take time and a stay at alternative accommodation for the first night. A call to Expedia helped.
The following day we arrived at Paphos Gardens Hotel and was shown to the room. As others have said, this is a good standard 3 star accommodation but now looks dated and in need of some TLC. The room was clean but there were missing blades from one of the air conditioning units and exposed wires (not within reach). Skirting boards were curving and pealing. The bathroom was poorly stocked with toiletries, only shampoo provided and 4 bath towels and 4 hand towels.. The kitchen was well equipped with an oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Cups bowls and cutlery was enough for 4 but did mean we had to regularly clean them and turn them around.
The main pool by the hotel was of a good size and sloped to allow adults and toddlers to use. This can be over stocked at times, as can the numerous sunbeds. Expect the boisterous noise and commotion of children and swimming pools. The area around the pool and then subsequently floors in the hotel can become slippery when wet.

The hotel is well laid out, and good for families, but is rather tired and in need of some updating, and fixing of amenities. Our room suffered from a non-working safe, non working smoke alarm, dreadfully old tv with nothing to watch but BBC News, Broken fridge, Broken kettle, dodgy old microwave, very noisy air-con, very dodgy sliding balcony door

I booked this room as a 'day room' after a week with girlfriends in Polis, Cyprus in a villa where we had an early check out but a late evening flight. When checking in I explained this and that six of us would be using the room to store our luggage and shower and freshen up. The staff were all very friendly. We enjoyed a decent, reasonably priced buffet lunch in the hotel taverna, visited Paphos harbour area in the afternoon and then showered and checked out at 18.30 and took our transfer to the airport. A convenient and cost effective way to spend our last day on this lovely, friendly island.

Arrived early evening received keys and information on how to reach our room,staircase very dark lights not working.Room very dated,no crockery at all no light on balcony,television no sound but clean bed sheets.The bathroom wash basin cracked,toilet cistern cracked and glued together.We reported all this to reception lights and tv dealt with within an hour,crockery supplied also.Every evening tv only foreign channels unless we went to reception to ask why this problem happened every day.Housekeeping good clean sheets and towels every other day.

On arrival at 9pm my room was not ready so I was taken to another hotel by taxi, no dinner. collected by Taxi at 10am no breakfast as it was self catering place, got to Paphos Gardens and my room was still not ready, sat in reception until 11.50 only to be told my room was on the top floor, I'd booked this on March 9th requesting a low floor as I will not go in a lift... I also have a knew knee so could'nt manage stairs, I struggled for two weeks because they said there was no other room available. I had a problem with cockroaches in my room but on both occasions they were dealt with quickly.
The staff are lovely and very friendly, the entertainment was not good at all.

Have stayed at Paphos Garden on several occasions and sadly the best I can say about the hotel is that it's clean - the furniture in I stayed was tired and in desperate need of a refurb. I would also say that charging €5 for 90 minutes Internet use in this day and age is not acceptable

The hotel was very pleasant in a good location, near to Paphos beach front but not in the centre of everything. The room was a good size, comfortable and clean. The downside was it initially smelt ok as airfresheners had obviously been used but then a pervading smell of cigarette smoke came through. August is a very busy period and as such the pool area was crowded and service clearing tables in the dining room a bit slow. The lounge bar was good and prices reasonable.

Great hotel for families on a budget

Fabulous hotel for families on a budget. Close to the ocean, harbor and restaurants......all within walking distance. The buffet for breakfast and dinner is constantly replenished with fresh items and the options are wide. The best part is the customer service; it's second to none. From the guest relations manager to the service staff and bell personnel. If something is wrong they'll make it right.

Nicest staff ever

Staff were wonderful couldn't do enough for us. Food great very few chips although once all the kids arrived they offered nuggets. nice to have food of the country you are in. Could do with some refurbishment but couldn't all hotels these days. Had golf buggys to take you to your apartment and back to hotel. Lots of clean towels. Nice to have proper glasses in evening on all inclusive instead of plastic ones.

We are regular users of the hotel as it is a cheap and cheerful venue for short weekend breaks. This last visit was very disappointing and only 1 star level. Rooms dirty and not cleaned for two days. Linen sparse and old. Staff friendly as always, food well cooked. We hope this weekend was a one off.

Great location for a budget holiday complex

I was booked into here by friends who had asked me to photograph their wedding. The location was perfect as it was next to where the wedding party were being picked up.

The complex is looking a little tired but the room I was allocated (Superior Studio) was excellent for my needs with a small kitchenette and the room was very spacious.

Quiet location, not too far from the harbour

we stayed as a family of 4 adults for one week in a Jasmine Apartment. It suited our needs as we were out most of the time but definately needs updating - I think the photos were taken a while ago when everything was new. the apartment was a good size and was kept clean and we always had plenty of fresh towels, the sheets were changed twice in a week, it was lacking a few homely touches such as door hooks(!) The shower was weak but the water was always hot. We were on a self-catering basis but only ate breakfast in the apartment as there is such a variety of bistros and restaurants to choose from along the harbour and quite a few closer to the Hotel.
The staff were always friendly, especially the lady who cleaned our apartment and Andreous who was extremely welcoming when we arrived late:he personally saw to it that we had a meal from the buffet that was just closing and gave us a free drink.

My partner and I went to Cyprus for my nephews wedding. We stayed at Paphos Gardens resort for one week. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment in the Jasmine Block. The beds and pillows are totally too hard and sleeping was difficult. One of the bedrooms overlooked the entrance to the building which meant you could hear everyone coming in and out especially the laundry truck which woke us every morning at 8.30am! The non-existent water pressure in the shower made it difficult to enjoy and took far too long. There were no teatowels or washing up liquid to wash crockery and we believed this should be provided. The apartment is 'tired' and needs updating in all aspects including decor and furniture. The sunbeds at the pool were extremely uncomfortable due to 'wear' over the years and were only made better by using a blue mattress of which there were only a few and certainly not enough for every bed, and as would be expected were always taken well before 9.00am. The small tiles in the pool are coming off and it looks unsightly.

Asked hotel staff to move rooms because we like to sit on the balcony and the balcony was very very small with a huge tree in front of it which had blocked the view and was growing into the balcony. Also there were biffa bins next to the block of rooms which were usually full and therefore had black bags dumped at the side which had cats in them every evening which was unpleasant to walk past. After asking hotel staff to move rooms on our arrival we were moved on our third day. Our new room was much better and we had a nice ground floor balcony. A bowl of fruit and an apologies note was left in the room which was a kind gesture. We had no problems with the rest of our two week stay, the hotel is ideally situated with a five minute walk to the beach. The hotel is very family orientated with entertainment for children every day. Having no children our self we used the beach most days to escape the noisy pool atmosphere.
However the room was kept very clean by the cleaner with fresh towels given regularly and the hotel staff were all very friendly and helpfull.

Better for families than couples

Nothing wrong with the hotel or the staff for the price. We needed a short stay hotel either side of a conference in Cyprus. Caters for family holidays more than anything else which was not great for us who were only looking for some quiet beside the pool. Unfortunately they have a sun deck away from the pool but closer to the PA which blasts the same tracks out for hours on end whether you want it or not. But since their aim is families there's no problem if that is what you are after. Good pool. Sun beds can cause back problems - so need to be careful. Gym and spa on site, Pay for secure wifi and a very limited set of telly channels in the room. BBC world almost the only English speaking channel although the odd UK/USA programme or film pops up. Supermarket attached to the complex has very short hours, will cater for the apartments on the site for emergencies but if you are self catering, huge supermarket in the main shopping area near the harbour. Shop there for the supplies. Note, the hotel rooms have no fridges even when you might expect it - these are only in the apartments.

Great for families or groups

Despite arriving after 10pm the check in desk at the hotel was open and staffed by a very friendly and helpful woman and a very efficient porter. We opted for one of the apartments (Ibiscus) which was light, well equipped and spacious especially as there were only two of us. The apartments are grouped around the hotel's second swimming pool which you can reach from your apartment's small patio area, providing privacy from the pool loungers if you want it. Breakfast was good although we felt that it finished a bit early (9.30) but we had been to a wedding the night before so for most people this is probably adequate. The hotel location is good, down a small side street so not at all noisy, with a few mini marts and cafes along it. The main tourist area is less than ten minutes walk which has more than enough bars and restaurants to keep you busy. For destinations further afield the bus stop is also very nearby. Overall a lovely hotel, with great staff, beautiful gardens and a welcoming atmosphere.

We stayed there for a scuba trip, and it was convenient to restaurants, dive shop, minor shopping. Lots of hotel amenities, but no internet in the rooms.
