Our rooom was at the front of the hotel and we stayed at the hotel over a public holiday weekend so it was a little noisy in the evenings. We both found the bed was a little too soft.
But the staff really made our stay enjoyable.

We had a problem with our luggage being broken so the manager took it upon himself to drive to the local airport in order to speak directly to someone that could help us resolve the issue. Everyone has been very friendly making us feel at home. They hosted a “happy hour” with free tapas and drinks. Great location along the beach.

Our second visit to this hotel. The location is brilliant, the staff friendly and helpful. Our first visit in July was super, so we decided to come back in September - a disappointment! The room we were given this time was so small that one of us had to go into the bathroom when the other wanted access to the wardrobe! Open the door and jump into bed was the motto! Surely not acceptable for a 4star hotel and for guests which are staying for 8 days

Nice staff. Owner was very friendly and spent some time living in the US for school so was easy to communicate if you don't speak French. Clean rooms and great location in the middle of it all. I would stay here again for sure. Would recommend calling ahead to find a parking area close by if you are driving. Nice lobby bar to chill and chat to the staff, who were all very friendly.

The hotel is in an excellent place by the sea and within short walking distance of the old town. It's entirely understandable why so many comments on Hotel Georges VI remain in the excellent and superb. We had a splendid time there and Biarrritz is an enchanting city.with a vibrant street and beach life.
The Atlantic rollers coming into the harbour are unparalleled for any surfer and despite the season we will be returning. The hotel was very helpful in recommending lovely places to dine with each one being unique and with excellent service.

Great location in a very lively part of town with great eating and shops nearby. Room was wonderfully quiet being at the back. Nicely decorated and very clean. Evening staff made us very welcome. Did not have breakfast as we thought it expensive. However regretted decision as breakfast was almost as expensive in most cafes.

Fantastic location, 10 second walk to the cove and restaurants with view of the sunset. Room with balcony over looking busy street but yet so quiet and peaceful. Cosy lounge area and lovely breakfast. Private courtyard could be in the countryside, no noise of the hustle and bustle outside. Amazing restaurants and bars within touching distance. Will definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very close to the beach and had a lovely tranquil courtyard where you could escape the busy old town. The staff were warm and helpful. The room was quite small and old fashioned but it was clean and comfortable.

Both of the women at Reception during my stay were fantastic giving me assistance with safe storage for my bicycle in their gorgeous sunny internal courtyard - and happily arranging a taxi for me and punctured bike to the station . We had 101 which was directly above the entrance and had not one but two balconies - fine for off-season but might be noisier later. Comfy bed, desk & chair, bathroom and WC. We spent 4 nights here. It is a small hotel in a perfect location for the beach, restaurants, the food market and a base to start a ramble around the centre. Room was comfortable, not very big, but had everything we needed. Shower was spacious with a large showerhead. The hotel feels more like a guesthouse. There is a small bar but the front doors close early( you have a code for the door) so we did not avail of it as it was closed when we came in. We would recommend it highly!

Wish to stay local in Biarritz? You don't get closer than this. It's on a main road with restaurants and bars, and a fair bit of foot-flow during the night, so if you're not immune to a little activity outside your hotel, then this may not be for you. That said, the double glazing on the windows do a really good job at keeping the noise out (unless you sleep with the window open, of course). The rooms are not very big, but the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is modern and tidy. Everything you need in a 3* hotel.

Clean and comfortable room. Toilet is separate from sink and shower - that was a little strange. Short walking distance to shopping and dining. Wifi was ok. This is a \"beach\" town with a lot of expensive surf type shops. Not recommended for a long stay as there is not much to do if you aren't a surfer. This stay was a short stop over for us while visiting Bordeaux for wine tasting. Fabian at the front desk worked hard in securing a lovely wine tasting tour and wonderful lunch in Bordeaux which was the highlight of this leg of our trip. An outdoor parking lot is across the street, first come, first serve.

No waterfall in the room but a waterfall shower!
The room said \"waterfall\" and only by arrival we saw they meant a waterfall shower. The title is misleading and should be adapted but this is a marketing trick to get clients to pay more and no customer can complain as it is indeed a waterfall SHOWER. The shower was a good idea when the hotel opened but now the smell is just horrible. Breakfast was good. Yes, they are ecological and it's a lovely concept, but I stayed in many hotels all over the world and this hotel is definitely overpriced!

Had higher expectations for this price point
For the price, I must say I expected a little more. Rooms were nice and tidy with a great view but lacked storage options. We knew that the room was going to be small, but we struggled to even open our suitcases on the floor - we had to put them on the bed.
The breakfast was ok but lacked finesse. The options were quite few which I normally like, as long as the overall quality is good - but I definitely had higher expectations. I would have loved to see a barista, eggs cooked-to-order, more vegetables and fruit options (now it was more or less just whole tomatoes and bananas in a bowl). The three cereal options was straight out of the box - a homemade granola would’ve been nice. Also, the machine coffee was undrinkable. We had to get our coffee from a nearby café.

Très agréable, mais pas un vrai 4 étoiles
Agréable, mais pas vraiment un 4 étoiles. L'hôtel coche toutes les cases (cafetière, coffre-fort,etc.) et pourtant on sent et on sait que ce n'est pas un 4 étoiles. Arrivée compliquée. Stationnement près à pied, mais accès labyrithique en voiture. Déjeuner dans la belle moyenne, sans plus.

Un séjour de rêve grâce à Lisa et Thomas et son équipe , tres pro et accueillante. L’hôtel est très bien placé, les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables. Je ne peux que recommander ce petit coin de paradis en plein cœur de Biarritz et 50 m de la plage . Hâte de revenir vous voir.

Pretty disappointing. Room smelled very moldy and left the next morning not feeling very well. Worried we got sick from inhaling whatever was in the room. One water bottle in fridge was also open and half drunk. Gorgeous location and really kind staff, but hotel was pretty expensive and not worth the price given the conditions.
