Used Hotel.com to book, however, our request for a fold-out bed wasn't sent as part of our booking. This was fine, although the way the check-in staff dealt with this was really poor - No apology for a potential error, just an awkward moment of them questioning the validity of my request. Thankfully, I had the proof.

While the hotel is in the process of being refurbished, which did not extend to our room, which was tired and dated. The ground floor area blocked off for refurbishment affected ground floor access for 2 of the 4 lifts. The advice was provided inside the affected lifts which meant people couldn't know until after entering the lift! The buffet breakfast was not up to the standard expected for a Hilton hotel, especially with the hot food which wasn't! Service levels need to improve.

The pool was average- the bookimg said the pool was heated, but it wasn\"t.
The gym is great!
The condition of the property - slightly deteriorating, however, apparently the Hilton has sold this property and it's going to be refurbished.

Although we have read that the hotel is due to be reburbished in June 2026, for the price of the stay we certainly did not expect the hotel facilities and amenities to be in such a run down condition. On entering the hotel the front doors did not open, not only on this occasion but every time we entered and exited the hotel and several guests were commenting how you needed to to move around. Upon check in we were asked for an email address which had already been provided and upon check out we were asked the email address again. The first set of towels provided were of decent quality, however they were then replaced with an old, very poor quality set. When the room was cleaned on the second day the shower gel was not refilled leaving it empty. We had to ask 3 times for it to eventually be replaced while we waited to have a shower.
The pool area was particularly run down with no shade, hardly anywhere to sit and no food or drink available.

The staff were helpful throughout our stay, particularly the staff member who checked us in, who was very pleasant, professional, and well presented. The room was clean and well maintained. The only aspect we would criticise is the air conditioning: the wall controller was not very responsive, even though it advised waiting six seconds, and the fan was quite noisy and tended to dry out the room quickly, which made it somewhat uncomfortable. The breakfast was good and offered a reasonable variety of food; however, having largely the same options each day became slightly monotonous. We would also prefer that staff guiding guests to their tables avoid handling cutlery where possible, as this would help reassure guests about hygiene, particularly in light of ongoing health concerns such as COVID-19, nipah virus and other infectious diseases.

On arrival, we were unable to use valet parking as no spaces were available. When we entered our allocated room, there was already another guest in it. I contacted reception and was asked to wait on my floor for a new room. After 20 minutes with no update, I went back down to reception and was told a staff member had gone to my floor but they could not locate the staff member.

Room service staff were good, however the food itself was average, and a $7 tray charge is applied per order.
The room felt dated and the bathroom was worse. Overall, communication from reception was poor and did not meet my expectations.

Breakfast meal was atrocious ordered the big breakfast twice, it came without eggs and no toast or bread. The sausages were cold when I bit in to them, on closer inspection they were not cooked in the middle.
Honestly McDonald’s would of been a better choice!

Staff are so attentive and friendly, great facilities, buffet breakfast was beautiful, we stayed on a hot 45 degree day and the air conditioning and pool did not skip a beat. Loved that our room had a bath - a rare find in hotels these days. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back.

Early closure of bar after we went to the theatre was disappointing and luckily by chance we went to bed because the next morning we awoke to 7am jack hammering downstairs with no warning, we’re on holiday so a sleep in til a bit later would have been better. A simple warning so we knew to time our bedtime earlier and perhaps a drinks voucher could have covered these.

Although staff are really friendly, the rooms are small and in need of updating and appear to have last been updated about 10-15yrs ago. The pool and pool area is quite small. The gym is quite tight when 5 or more people are using it. Not many fruit options available at breakfast like Asian hotels although breakfast is decent. No parking available for guests directly and you have to walk 350m to parking which is quite expensive.
Overall not what I was expecting of the Hilton brand reputation. Honest feedback is 3 to 3.5 stars max overall.

Solo traveller. Excellent stay for four nights. Staff so helpful, room clean and quiet. Lovely views over the square. Not a lot of outside noise surprised how quiet it was. Breakfast was great! GF choices also. Fresh omelettes made to order. Divine cocktails in the lobby bar! Loved my stay here will definitely be back!

The hotel is advertised as 5 star but I wouldn’t necessarily say it was 5 star. Reception area, bar and restaurant all lovely. Rooms are a bit tired and dated. Mould on the grout in the shower. Shower flooded the bathroom each time. Pillows were horrendously uncomfortable but we requested replacements and were given contoured firmer pillows. Pool area is also a bit tired looking. The pool was advertised as heated but was freezing. No shade on the pool deck either which wasn’t great for a 34 degree day. Breakfast was great with a good selection which was regularly replenished. Staff in general were very friendly and helpful throughout. Location is great with a tram stop opposite, buses available a few minutes away, the markets behind the hotel and bars/restaurants close by, including Chinatown around the corner. I’d stay here again.

I booked a stay and had to cancel due to a genuine emergency. My booking was still two weeks away, and I never stayed at the hotel. Despite explaining the situation, I was refused a refund and lost $600.

For a hotel of this standard, I expected more understanding and better customer service. I understand policies, but this experience felt extremely unfair and disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel due to their lack of empathy and poor handling of my situation

We waited 45 minutes after check in time opened as our room “wasn’t ready” and were only considered until we approached the concierge and reminded them. We were offered a gift of a bottle of wine to our room as we were celebrating our anniversary and the concierge congratulated us and offered up a gift. Wine never came.. Price of the room was well over-priced for our room overlooking a a view of an ash tray and run down tennis court. bathroom was the pits with dodgy glass door and turn of the century tiling and styling. Hilton is not worth the coin go elsewhere in Adelaide
