Facilities in the bedroom were good coffee machine, tv etc although expected a bigger bed in a premium room. Bathroom was a bit tired but towels were excellent. Wasn't expecting to pay to use the swimming pool. Nothing mentioned in the description of the hotel.

Room was terrible. Dated, run down and there were numerous items of rubbish from previous guests or tenants, these were not even small things. Items of note being a pot of chewing gum. A medley for some Christmas event. Numerous bunches of popped baloons.

I was staying as a central base to work from. Most customers I visited in surrounding areas told me that the hotel was used to house migrants. I have no problem with this but it doesn’t feel like any of the money earned housing the migrants was put towards making the hotel any cleaner or fresher.
The bed had broken casters wheels meaning the bed wasn’t flat and I slept on an angle. a week like this was super fun…. Not.

I didn’t feel like was worth speaking to reception to address this as majority of people I spoke to and the reviews online (which I wish I’d read prior to staying) all concluded my

When we got our first room there was a hole in the bath as is not the plug hole... there was a reception, we went to the staff and they gave us the other room next to it. and that was okay..... The only thing about that room is the fact that the lights were all on one switch and and it was cold because I've had a stroke so it's difficult for me to get warm.....so you couldn't put half so if you if you weren't if you went to sleep and one person wanted to do studying then it would difficult

While the rooms are slightly dated, they offer excellent value for money and there’s very little to complain about at this price point. Breakfast is available, although parking does come at an additional cost. One of the standout features is the size of the rooms — they are exceptionally spacious compared to typical city hotels. On every stay, I’ve found thoughtful touches such as bathrobes, quality shampoos, and other welcome comforts. My most recent room also included a fridge, which was a nice bonus, and the large television made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay for both me and my partner.

Room was really nice. Food in the evening was excellent. Breakfast bit o let down Use of heat lamp cabinets food never stays hot unless you get there when it first get layed out and then you might get it a bit over cooked.

Sat in bar with dog and was asked nicely to move as dogs not allowed in that area could not really understand that it was no different to sitting in a pub bar and people eating and drinking can understand the actual restraunt area but a bar .really
Apart from that can not fault hotel and staff all polite and very helpful.

My teenage daughter and I had a pleasant overnight stay. The reception welcome was fantastic - very friendly and accommodating. Our room was huge, with 2 double beds, kettle, tea/coffee and lots of space. We even had an iron and an ironing board. The bathtub was missing a plug so we used a shower option instead. Overall, the room, linen and towels were very clean. The bathroom decor was dated but it gave it a character and I liked it. We didn't use any hotel amenities as we only stayed a night and had to travel again very early, however, the entrance lobby looked very inviting and bar area well stocked.

We really enjoyed our stay. I am a scrounge when paying for meals out But we thought the evening meal was good value. The waiters where very helpful and helped to make it a great success. ONE FAULT WAS I DIDN'T REALISE YOU HAD TO PAY FOR PARKING. BEFORE WARNED.!

I dont normally write reviews however, the terrible breakfast did it. For £11.95 it was probably the worst breakfast I've had in a hotel. The bacon and sausage was dry and overcooked. The eggs and hash browns were greasy and left an odd taste. Otherwise the hotel is ok for what i paid, if a little rough around the edges.

We stayed in an accessible room which doubled as a family room and unfortunately the family next door were very noisy. They kept their kids up until one in the morning and then shouted at them for crying! Then they were awake at six doing the same.
Also, from 12:15 every five minutes we received a call on the room phone from a man who just said hello ma'am and put the phone down. I enquired at reception who could make a call to a guest bedroom and was told such a call could only be made from reception. Am employee thinking it was funny?? We didn't think so. The receptionist offered us free breakfast but we had already paid so didn't take her up on it. She said the call could have been made by the hotel's ghost! (Haha!)

Don’t waste your money on breakfast . Coffee is awful. Poor choice and staff is ignorant. Their breakfast till 10 , I came @8:55 am . There was crumbs of scrambled eggs , one fried egg and 3 peaces of bacon left in their buffet. Absolutely no fresh fruits or veggies, no cheese.
Most importantly is the attitude. Saigon says wait to be seated , staff walks around like you are invisible . After 10 min just standing there they just tell you seat anywhere ! Why sign there then ? While staring at empty buffet , I asked for fresh scrambled eggs, I got the look of surprise, because of course there still were leftover dried crumbs there…. I was told they are preparing more eggs, … 20 min later not a single item came out of that kitchen !
Should be ashamed charging money for that kind of breakfast !
Hotel itself , was dated but clean . Quiet , spacious rooms. Parking available on site .
Bar in the lobby, but they don’t accept cash. You’ll need card to pay for dinner and drinks ! Food is so so !

We stayed just one night on return from granddaughter sitting. The first room we were allocated had a terrible flickering light in the bathroom. We were moved next door with no fuss. This room had the creakiest bed ever fortunately the room had two beds so it was not a problem. We were also charged for car parking for the first time in many stays here.

Bromsgrove spa hotel. A little tired looking and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. Freestanding electric heater in the room that ticked all night. Keycard didn’t work so got a second that didn’t work so was let in by reception.
Toilet was hard to flush had to pump it to make it work. Stairs and main route to room was dirty and there was no lift which wasn’t a big issue as we only had light bags but could be an issue for anyone with mobility issues.

We were given a family room, but I didn't book a family room, just a standard double. Because it was a family room, the sofa was stuck under the window, with a very bad viewing angle for the TV. The toilet seat was broken, and should have been replaced before any guests arrived. The cleaner would have known it was broken. We found the idea of the sink in the room, and an awkward door to access the toilet and bath a bit ridiculous. Very odd planning. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the room too hot without an option to turn the heating down.

The approach to the hotel is not all that attractive, and without satnav we would probably have driven past. Car parking is OK, facilities are on the whole good, but a bit tired in places. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was large and nicely furnished - if a bit dark, with no main light; but the bathroom area we thought a bit old fashioned, and in need of a makeover. We had planned to take our evening meal in the restaurant, but it was closed because of shortage of staff and the need to clear up after an event. The bar meal we had instead was good, however, as were the breakfasts. Good value on the whole, and comfortable.

\"Hotel and SPA\" is why we booked. When we arrived there was a note on the reception saying that the pool and spa facilities were out of action. This was the case for our whole stay sadly. Our room was 'ok' but nothing special. We had to go out and buy an extension lead, because the bedside plug sockets weren't for normal plugs and we couldn't plug chargers in next to the bed. The shower flooded all over the bathroom floor and out onto the hall carpet the first time we used it. We used every towel available to mop it up and left them by our door. They were collected but not replaced. No room service to replenish or clean during our stay. No air con and poor ventilation in the room. No windows that could be opened, just an outside door onto the path which looked like it was linked to an alarm so we didn't risk opening it. Plenty of panic alarm cords in the room though which was slightly odd and a control panel next to the bed which had strange switches that did nothing. Conflicting information about parking charges between staff and signage outside. I'd rate it 3/10 Wouldn't stay again unfortunately.

The room was excellent value for money.
It was spacious, clean & warm with a comfy large bed.

The ensuite had a bath with shower over, it was a little dated but very clean.

Swimming pool was lovely & warm, however it costs £4 per hotel guest to use.

Parking was good, plenty of spaces, £5 per 24 hours.

Tea, coffee, shampoo & shower gel all provided in your room.

Would definitely recommend.

Time to get rid and shake it up.
Having said that I really enjoyed the hotel and wlould use it again. Enjoyed the food on half board. Was very good pricing for a half board stay.

Sadly I have stayed here previously and mistakenly booked again because of the new photos, it is a filthy dirty, disgusting run down hovel, with some of the staff, rude obnoxious and unhelpful, this is only some of them in particular the barman, the reception team and servers were lovely and incredibly helpful.

Food was burnt and disgusting, I had to send the main course back, which was handy as they served a starter AND main at the same time, no care or interest in the crap being served from the kitchen

The rooms are tired, hard beds, cheap pillows and an all round unpleasant place to be, bathroom is grubby and smelly, room smells and the breakfast, although edible was overcooked and tasteless, at least they didn't charge me for parking this time

Check in was smooth, rooms are dated and in dire need of modernisation although it was clean and well equipped but no air conditioning. The bed had a thick mattress protector and a very thick duvet which made the bed far too hot. My room was above a courtyard and people were outside smoking underneath my window until very late being noisy and inconsiderate.

Ate in the restaurant in the evening, waiter who brought our drinks to the table tipped his tray of drinks all over me. Asked at reception if they had a laundry service to which I was abruptly told no, no offer of help despite my clothes being covered in red wine. He gave me an apology and a free bottle of wine but he charged me for a glass, presumably the one he had dropped on me! Even though the restaurant was quite empty the wait for food was ridiculously long.

Met colleagues for breakfast and was running late. They were already seated so I gave the waiter my room number to be rudely told breakfast wasn’t included and I would need to go to reception and pay before I could eat. I informed him that I hadn’t yet checked out but he wouldnt allow me in until I had paid. Had to queue at reception behind guests checking out to pay for breakfast before I could enter the restaurant, leaving very little time to eat. Not worth the additional £11.99. Just as we were getting ready to leave chaos broke out as the fire alarm started to go off. Staff had no idea what they were doing.

Reasonably priced hotel close too the M5, clean some fittings are a bit dated, nothing close by if you didn't want to use the hotel bar/ food service.

Clean and tidy

A clean and tidy hotel, good value for money but not as good as the picture shows ! The tap in the bathroom was leaking but it did not get reported by me.
We were there for such a short time, the cleaner greeted us as she was passing the room as we left. Staff all fine. Not a place we would rush back to but served a purpose for us for one night. No electric charge points for EV’s. Pay extra for parking on site, 5GBP per 24 hours.

I booked an executive room it was definitely not, there were 2 beds, a fridge ( very noisey ) no wifi that sets you back £7 per day if you manage to get on the site to pay the free code they gave me did not work.
They do not service the rooms and look at you gone out when you ask for a bottle of water to replenish the fridge.
That said the food is very reasonable and reasonabally priced plus theres a happy hour between 5-7

Issues with the booking system

The hotel is great but there is an issue with the Hotels.com portal and the booking system of this hotel.

I have been using it for few month already and regardless which room you choose they always receive the booking as if you are booking a twin room rather than the one that you booked.

In some cases they can accommodate but other times they cannot and you end up having to stay in a different room to the one you booked.

Someone should look into it and amend it so they are both in line.

A wonderful midweek break

All the staff were excellent, Luke and Maria on reception and Leanne and Kaylee in house keeping really went the extra mile I’d definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again 👍

Had to wait to be checked in, as rooms not ready, person on tge desk didnt have a clue in what they were doing, could do with some money being spent on the place more staff needed on the bar area
