Friendly staff and good location. Very interesting layout and big, well appointed rooms (Garden view room with patio). Did not eat there, so can't comment on food but breakfast buffet looked very good. Only negatives were: The safe not working and fridge was not cold (but patio was a great fridge in January). The entrance is off a narrow backstreet which does not look great - a big full dumpster and lots of graffiti to pass, but actually a quiet area and very close to the main attractions of old-town.

It was advertised as a 5-star hotel, but it definitely was not. From the start, the receptionist provided poor customer service, and we were told there were no parking spots available, forcing us to park far away. No assistance was offered, including help with our luggage.

The room itself was underwhelming—outdated, with visible stains on the walls and curtains. This was far from what we expected from a 5-star hotel. The amenities were also very limited, consisting only of a restaurant and a small gym, which did not justify the price we paid.

Additionally, when we requested room cleaning, the kitchen area was not cleaned, and dirty plates were left behind. There was no soap provided to wash the dishes ourselves, so we contacted the front desk. Their only response was, “Sorry, we are short-staffed.”

Overall, we were very disappointed with this experience. Aside from the good location, this felt more like a 3-star hotel at best.

This is NOT a 5 star hotel. I cannot believe how badly we were deceived. Room was dirty when we arrived. One bed not made up. Bedding in closet was unwashed. Two towels for 4 people. No toiletries other than a plastic bottle of shampoo and conditioner in shower and hand soap. No help with luggage. Staff was not helpful. Marks/stains all over walls room and curtains. Three Star hotel with two star service. Breakfast and breakfast staff was very good and very friendly. We left a day early. Extremely disappointed and they need to have two stars removed and stop falsely advertising to people. They’ve never been in a five star hotel obviously.

The stairs down to reception fron the entry are dark and not well lit so needs care to watch footing.
There are lifts for the less mobile.
Reception staff were friendly and polite but didnt really give any info about the hotel apart from our room number.
Small gym, running machine worked but had a hole worn in the belt.
Great location, 5 minutes into old town, 15 minutes to train station.

It is set up that provides a sense if extra privacy, the room was very well set up for a working person. Nespresso machine in the room, bathrobes, iron and all the toiletries provided. Big plus. So rare now. It saved me from having to purchase body cream. I travel with a small carry on.

Great hotel, ignore the bad review!

After reading a recent very negative review, i wa a little apprehensive before my stay 2 days ago. Our experience was 100% the opposite, we found the hotel charming with character. Get the breakfast option, it was great, and they will also make omelets or other items that are not on the buffet. Entire staff was excellent and helpful. Stabdars room was large, well appointed, and quiet. Highly recommend,ignore the unhappy review from an obviously unhappy person.

This property was being renovated when we were there but it resulted in an odd layout. Our room had two king-size beds rather than a seating area as advertised. This was weird and disappointing. Staff although professional if approached, appeared aloof at other times. The price of the room was good and the location was convenient.

This hotel is ok. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. But it is a 3 star hotel. The windows are dirty, the rugs are old, everything feels dated. When we arrived, we found the battery panel of our safe was broken so the safe was unusable (the battery would slip out and the lock would be useless). The door to our room needed to be slammed shut to lock, otherwise it appeared closed but someone could just push it and it would open without a key. The bath looked lovely and after a long travel day, I was excited for a soak in the tub. The drain plug was broken :( And the shower head was not tightly locked against the pole so when I had a shower, water went everywhere. It was very disappointing. The icing on the cake was that at 0800, we woke up to loud voices from outside our room and it turned out the entire hotel was being renovated - we walked outside our room to find the hallways taped up to protect the floors from paint. There had been no warning this was happening and it was quite disarming.
I’d recommend spending a little more and staying at a different place.

Poor service, no help, only the waiter in the restaurant in the morning was nice and helpful (thank you). The room had dirty walls and carpets. Additionally, heats up so much and quick that the air conditioning does not work. The hotel is not a 5-star standard. I probably will not come there again.

A bit run down

You can clearly see the passage of time in this hotel. The carpets in the stairway are dirty, the handle of the bathroom door was loose, the switch for the desk lamp was broken. Also the lift to the reception was broken so we had to carry heavy luggage. Also the room looked different then on the pictures. Be aware that not all rooms have bricks inside.

The property was nice but they didn’t see the need to let us know the lift was out of order before arriving. I purposely booked this hotel as it was accessible and I’m in a wheelchair. We then had the issue of arriving at midnight to loads and loads of steps. I just feel that people need to be more aware of what you should tell your guests before they arrive. They knew the lift was broken so they could’ve made us aware and moved us before we got there. Two days and they moved us, however the hotel we were moved to was really loud and not what we had originally wanted.

Bathrooms had no counters, tub was unsafe to get in and out. Half the outlets did not work. TV was placed in a strange location in the room. 3 staff was attending to breakfast during the week where there was no guests, on the weekends they only had one person to serve. We had very large luggage and to check in had to use a long staircase, no one came out to help. For a 5 star hotel, this was not a 5 star service. I would give it 3. Conveniace was the only plus.

Great location with specious rooms

We wanted to love this hotel. And in fairness, a lot of things were great about it. It is located very close to the city center, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are huge, especially by European standards, so there is plenty of room to spread out. The bathrooms are nice and updated. We did have a couple of issues while we were there, though. One was that the Wi-Fi did not work consistently in our room, and that was a problem for us because we came from outside of Europe and had to use data to run our electronic devices. Keeping our five-year-old entertained without consistent Wi-Fi was very difficult. Second, the hotel is very close to a school, and we were awoken at 8 AM every morning by the sounds of school children playing nearby, so if you are trying to sleep in, this might not be the place for you. Third, the hotel is built in an old granary, which we thought was very cool. The only issue seemed to be that there might still be some grain left in the building, and my husband‘s allergies went nuts every time we came in. I’m not 100% sure that this is related, but it definitely seemed to follow that pattern, and if you are a person who has an allergy to grains, it’s something that you might think about. Long story short, we enjoyed our stay overall, but these little things took away from it.

Dangerous, dirty hotel with terrible service

This was our second stay at The Granary, and it was nothing short of horrifying.

We arrived to check in at 14:00. We knew we were early, but the young lady at the front desk informed us one of our two rooms was already clean and ready. When we went to our first room, we noticed the crib for our baby was not in the room. We stopped by the front desk on our way out, and she assured us the crib would be in one of the rooms when we returned.

We returned at 21:30 after a long day with family in Wroclaw. We went upstairs to find two things. First, the second room was not at all clean - it had not been touched by housekeeping. Second - neither room had a crib. My husband and mother-in-law - both Polish citizens and native Polish speakers - went down to the front desk again while I stayed with our baby and our 6 year old. The two men had to hunt for a clean, available room for my mother-in-law and 6 year old, a process that took over an hour. Additionally, they told us they had accidentally given away all the cribs to people who checked in AFTER us, so there was nowhere for our baby to safely sleep. We had to stay awake all night taking turns with her. Exhausting and SO unsafe.

The hotel would provide no refund, even after admitting exactly what we said happened occurred. Our family in Wroclaw is disgusted at how terrible we were treated, and we've begun to publicize how dirty and dangerous this hotel is. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Hotel is well located close to main attractions. However it is not 5 star hotel, rooms are tired, with dirty carpets, walls and baseboards. I had also multiple hair in my bed. When reported it I was told it will be faster to get cleaner to change bedlinen then to arrange new room. The rooms are also not well desinged. My room was super spacious with separate sitting area with tv and bedroom space with no window and no tv. Bathroom shower is also not well design with corner bath and the shower curtain that is not protecting from getting the bathroom splashed with water during showering. The service is also not geat, it is impossible to reach reception by the phone and to order room service I had to find phone number for the hotel restaurant online. The restaurant staff did not know if there is separate room service menu and as there is none in the room I had to use online menu for the restaurant. The food was brought to the room without any coverage which is not hygienic and meant it was loosing heat as well. The hotel was also very strict about check in no ealier then 3 pm, even when booking a day before there was plenty rooms available, being just abour 1.5h ealier I was told to wait and go somewhere and come back no elalier then 3 pm as the room is not ready. Receptionst has suggested potentially having coffee in hotel resturant however after being told to go out I did not feel comortable staying in the hotel resturant. This did not felt like 5 star hotel hospitality

We received a room which was not displayed on Expedia website. Pillows were uncomfortable. Furthermore cleaning of rooms only occurred at 4pm when we already got back to the hotel from a day out, therefore we did not engage with the cleaning services.

Great hotel. Wonderful room. Room servicing staff excellent. Restaurant needs a lot of work. The wine was opened and poured without tasting being offered, the food served was cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen, waiting staff didn’t seem to be trained sufficiently for a restaurant that’s trying for ‘fine dining’. No apology was offered for the food being served cold and when, at the end it was said that the service was unacceptable, a ‘we told the kitchen’ was offered by way of justification. The food has the potential to be very good but the restaurant has to address staff/customer interface with requisite training.

However I would not describe the executive ‘suite’ we stayed in as a suite. It was a large hotel room with a dining table. Which was really disappointing.
The air conditioning was stuck on 25°C which was boiling and couldn’t be lowered.

The hotel is quirky and stylish and located within a fairly short walk of the hubbub of the town center and the old market place.
I really wanted to love this property, which largely I did but have to mark it down due to a few problems.
The first room we were given, with a beautiful vaulted brick ceiling, clearly had a problem with the air-conditioning and was at a 25.5 temperature when we arrived which was far to warm to sleep in. We left the room for an hour or so and the temperature didn't drop. We were moved into an alternative and this was little better. So, again we asked reception to try and sort for us.
Eventually, after being told that we would have to wait for a technician, a member of the reception team offered us a choice of (upgraded) rooms. One of which we chose and our stay started properly once we moved our things for the third time.
Again, we still wanted to love the hotel but I noticed that the table lamp on the desk had been unplugged and we realised why when we tried to reconnect it - only to find that bare wires were sticking out of the switch - I guess that's why it had been unplugged. Just a bit sloppy.
Breakfast was sensational and the choice and quality of options were amazing. It made us regret not having eaten in the restaurant.
Still enjoyed our stay and the the whole place was spotlessly clean - but just a bit disappointed by the lack of attention to detail on maintenance.

Hotel was central, I'd rate maybe a 4star not 5.Don't pay for breakfast as was quite expensive for continental, coffee machine and staff not a clue!
Rooms cleaned daily, tea&coffee restocked with mini fridge, bedding not particularly comfortable. Key cards needed reprogrammed EVERY time you got back to hotel which became a bit comical.

This is a lovely quiet hotel close to the main square - about 5 to 10 minutes walk. 10-15 minute walk from the main train station.
We had a good sized double room for 2 nights that suited our needs during our stay. We were in the city to visit places of interest and we had a great time. We weren't in the hotel much, as we wanted to explore the city although the hotel was lovely

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel !!!
I have been visiting Wroclaw regularly for years and this time I decided to stay in this hotel. Absolutely terrible experience at this so-called 5 star hotel. The room was dirty, the carpet needs changing and very bad used furniture.
I had the most horrific experience on my first night. It was raining outside and to my horror the glass ceiling in my room was leaking, rainwater was dripping on my face. As if that wasn't bad enough I found that my open suitcase with my clothes were soaking wet!!!
We received another room but nothing more!!! I only used the hotel parking lot for one night and had to pay for it after everything that happened. NO COMPENSATION !!!
Definitely not worth the money , do not waste your time staying here. DEFINITELY NEVER AGAIN !!!

This property had a good location with about a 10 minute walk to the town square. Where there was plenty to do, see, and eat. The area was quiet and the property had a parking area which was nice since we had a rental car.

Unfortunately the breakfast buffet was not very good. The selection was quite limited and when I asked for an omelet I got a runny uncooked mess. No jelly for the croissants, no toasters and no yogurt. Overall the service was ok and they did the best they could with what they have.

What a horror story this property.
Extremely old and poorly kept, definitely not a 5-star property, not only for the property but especially for the complete lack of services amenities and personnel.
Speaking about the personnel, they were extremely rude and unhelpful both front office and housekeeping.

We decided to check out earlier in order to avoid spoiling the rest of our holiday.

Stay away from this hotel if you want to enjoy Wroclaw.

We only stayed for one night, but the 5 star rating is deceiving. I feel bad to say that I didn’t feel like it was a 5 star hotel. There’s no ramp to go down to the lobby/ front desk from the main entrance for those who have rolling luggages or strollers, only stairs and a wheelchair elevator. It was pretty empty in terms of staff and guests. The room was spacious and clean but the pillows barely held its form and the bedsheets were coming off the bed.

The location was nice and quiet, close in proximity to the Market Square, mall, and park.

Lovely 3 night stay at the Granary Suite Hotel. Staff were polite and helpful. Had a garden room in the older part where of the hotel which was nice and spacious with comfortable beds. Short walk into the town square which meant it was far enough to be nice and quiet in the evening. Didn’t have a chance to eat in for dinner but couldn’t fault the breakfast buffet. Whole place was clean and well presented.

Fantastic hotel. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms where spacious and well furnished. The best part was the breakfasts. Really great food every day. Highly recommend and will be using for future business travel.

Nice hotel, near old town

Friendly staff, large rooms with plenty of furniture. Good location, walking distance to old town. However, there is no lift access from street level to the lobby - you must carry luggage down a flight of black stairs backlit by harsh led strips with little overhead lighting which makes it very difficult to see the steps when going up and down. Also, the wheelchair lift was not in working order when we were there, so that wasn’t an option for the seniors in our group who had trouble navigating the stairs. The hotel parking loy is very small with room for less than ten vehicles.

Awesome building within the Old Town

Great location in a special building! Within the Old Town, very well connected. The rooms are awesome, beautifully made and very comfortable. Friendly staff, good amenities, nice reception area. Breakfast is OK. Parking needs an app which doesn't always work very smoothly.

Fabulous stay

It was a comfortable stay with great service. Room was large enough for a standard room and well maintained. Food was also excellent.

Only downside for me was the wifi was a little spotty in my room.

Premium suites in the listing are not necessarily what you will get. Stayed there for one night, overall the building is beautiful and conveniently located but very disappointed with the room. We decided to go with the premium suite because we love natural light and that’s what we thought our room had to offer based on the pictures. While checking in I wanted to make sure we get what we paid for and confirmed with the woman at the front desk, she replied with “yes, you’re a vip member so we upgraded you to a premium suite” I got confused and showed her that that’s what I paid for to begin with and she said yes we upgraded you to this, I got very confused but didn’t want to continue the conversation so went to the room. I attempted to open the door and the key wasn’t working so went back to the front desk, I was told that I must have kept it by my phone or my cc and that caused the issue, sounds like a lousy key card if thats what happens after 30 seconds. They reset the card went back upstairs and again key not working. 2 more times until they agreed to replace the card. We finally get into the room and it looks like we walked into a basement. 2 small windows mostly covered by a brick wall, looks nothing like in the listing. I returned to the lobby with hopes to get the room from the pictures and was told that this is it, and no other rooms are available which was a lie as well. VIP status gets you nothing at this place. Stick to standard rooms, not worth the upgrade.

Initially everything was excellent until my last day when the air conditioning in my room failed. I notified the front desk and was told they were working on it. It was never fixed making the night almost unbearable. Except for this everything else was wonderful. I would stay again.
