Booked in early January, some hours later, on the same day, messaged hotel asking for a cancellation, because I realised that possibly I wouldn't be able to make these dates or even the city due to personal circumstances. Even with more than one month in advance, the hotel refused to cancel and refund the booking;

We were a big group, booked 3 different rooms; we paid different £ for the rooms, but got exactly the same room size/ layout and facilities.

We could feel a smell of old and musty around the premisses hallways/corridors/bedrooms. Old furniture and decoration all around the hotel. Hallway to gym and spa requires updating.

Were travelling with children, choose this hotel because of the pool and spa facilities; however we could not use this during the entire stay. We were told the \"pool is not working due to elevated chlorine levels\". An online search demonstrated that there are quick solutions for this issue eg. emptying the pool and filling it up with clean water; or adding a neutralising solution. We checked in on Friday around 3pm and checked out on Sunday 11am. But it seemed that there was no sense of URGENCY to fix this issue; plus we were not informed about it previously to make appropriate arrangements.

Breakfast: very few options available; hard/sour fruits; served uncooked egg and old burnt bacon.

Few restaurant options around. But close to Safari park. Staff were generally polite.

Overall overly priced for what was on offer.

Staff Nice , Room a bit dated but ok for fifty quid. Shower useless no pressure and one of those horrible shower curtains that cling to your body. Toilet brush was filthy - not sure why there's one in the loo TBH.

There was no functioning valve on the radiator, so couldn’t adjust the heat. The radiator banged and clicked in the night too.
The room was big, but the duvet cover was cheap material. The toilet roll was cheap and nasty. There was only 3 milk sachets so not enough for more than one hot drink each

I would like to start and say this a not a complaint towards expedia, booked this stay for valentines, the hotel was pleasant looking on photos and didnt disappoint visually when we arrived. The bad - When welcomed i was told i had not paid yet and they needed payment but that was ammended. Got up to the room and it was cold but couldnt find a thermostat anywhere to change the temperature in the room. The water in the shower was cold which wasnt pleasant for my partner. I also had a reservation for dinner at the hotel at 7pm, was sat down in a small section at the back of the restaurant with 4 other couples that seemed unhappy and the general tention in there wasnt great, they got the drink order wrong to start with, then took the food order at around 7:30pm, 8:15pm came around and the staff proceeded to tell me i couldnt have my order as they didnt have it, i then changed my order and got our food around 8:45. We were both very unhappy with the service in the restaurant. To top it all off they had a murder mystery night on which i have no problems with but i wasnt aware this event was on that night and the jazz band were playing extremely loud to the point of the desk and decor where vibrating in the room until midnight. Safe to say we wont be returning there and we would appreciate compensation.

Food terrible, returned first plate of tasteless Pasta slop (boiled for about an hour then microwaved), ordered Fish & Chips as a replacement, swilling in grease when it finally arrived over an hour after returning first plate. Bar massively over priced, cheaper pints in central London and to top it all off no phone signal compounded by internet speeds to rival dial up in 1994! DO NOT STAY!

Room was not cleaned properly at all, I got into bed and there was something under the sheets, it was a nasal stick from the last person that had stayed! How did the staff miss that when changing the sheets?

The staff was rude instantly on arrival, we was typing in our number plates for parking and a staff member sat down so I assumed he come to assist so i said we have a booking and he snapped straight away and said \"check isn't till 3 I can't help you\" and his tone of voice was so rude, it was nearly 3pm so we wasn't mega early, so then I asked if their was anywhere I can change my baby while we wait and he huffed before pointed down the hall to disable toilet / baby change. Then when my husband could check in he put us on a top floor with no loft, mind you we have an old silver cross pram so me and my husband had to lift this up and down a flight of stairs 3/4.times , my husband asked if we could change it even lay for a bigger room if needed to have bottom floor and he was so rude and didn'thelp at all.

The same staff member the day after when we checked out, argued with my great aunt and decided it was okay to push her out the way because he said she owed money for late check out even though she check out for 11am. She's small and 70 year old, this staff member is a big man and ridiculous he pushed her out the way.

The toilets are terrible and dirty wasn't even cleaned the whole time we was there, all the toilet roll holders are broke.

We stopped in the original part of the hotel. The room was simple but clean and tidy. It was a little cold when we arrived so we asked at reception about the heating. We were told it came on at 4pm but I think they switched it on earlier and they gave us an electric heater. Staff were extremely helpful and professional. We were attending an event at the hotel which was great fun.
On the morning we went for breakfast, ,we had the choice of a small continental breakfast, cereal or a cooked breakfast Breakfast was good, only one item on the cooked breakfast wasn't available , a little disappointing but that happens sometimes. The poached eggs may have been under a heater so they were solid but the waiter replaced them with freshly cooked ones which were brilliant. Plenty of free parking. Overall it was a pleasant stay and would return, I'd like to go there in the summer as they have alfresco dining, big outside kitchen.

Clean room. Long way from Reception. No lift to first floor. No offer of help with luggage despite my obvious limp.very noisy extractor fan in bathroom. Had trouble getting hot shower the first morning but that was probably my fault.
Only one other person at breakfast the first say and on my own the 2nd day which was fine but the toaster hadn't been turned on the 2nd day so had to wait for server to appear as it wasn't obvious how to do it.

Convenient stop over but very tired and dated. Smelt damp and musty when we walked in. We didn’t stay in the Manor House but in the attached block of rooms. We didn’t eat there as only a short walk into the town where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.

I only stayed for the night, but hardly got any sleep. The room was not very clean, there was a dead spider on the carpet & the Bathroom smelt musty? The room was extremely cold, & there was a banging window / door from somewhere else in the building throughout the night. On top of this the TV did not work. The whole hotel is really due a refresh - lots of chipped paint & out of date decor.

Stayed for two nights. We arrived and there was a big party on and was clear there had been some trouble. We asked for our room to be away from the noise, which the staff were able to do. The hotel was clean, but clearly needs an update. The wallpaper was pealing in the bedroom and the shower had no pressure. We were out during the day, so didn't spend too much time there, so was okay for our trip.

ADVOID THIS HOTEL

This hotel has been left to go into disrepair for many many years. Upon our arrival is was obvious that there was only 2 members of staff across the entire hotel.

1st our room was not ready and we actually did not receive our fill complement of bedding until 9am (versus a 3pm check in).
We went to the bar area to wait.... tables were filthy and the whole place was in need of cleaning, served by the same person who would later deliver our bedding to the room. We refused to eat there.
Other issues include hidden charges for our dog and for me to use the gym but the worst part was the upkeep of the hotel. Comparing the hotel to the pictures I booked against the difference was stark and it is obvious to me that the pictures were staged and the hotel has not looked like these pictures for many many years.

Did not stay at this Hotel. Booked on the app and even when the app suggested there was rooms available the Hotel phoned me after booking to inform me that No rooms available. Still not received a refund or any communication from Hotels.com OR hotel. Having to claim through bank for ‘No service provided’. All reward money was used on this booking (£57.00) not returned this either. Terrible experience- it should be a contractual agreement that they provide a hotel when paid.

Bed was terrible, cheap and nasty. I even found myself checking for bedbugs as the room didn’t feel clean.
They only gave us 1 shower towel.
Shower itself didn’t feel clean, very dated and water pressure was just average. Lighting in there was terrible, was almost a blue light.
No aircon in the room, we was on the ground floor to had to have the window open all night to let some air in (of what little air there was) then all we could hear was people talking on the carpark all night.
Staff were very friendly upon arrival, however I don’t think this hotel is worthy of 4*. Needs a full retrofit to make it up to 2025 hotel sort of standards… power sockets at bedsides etc

Room had a shower that was unusable. Barely a trickle. When brought to staff attention we were told this was a \"special amenity\" and meant only to be a hand shower. We also had no tv remote and just 2 channels when one was located. Room was also sickeningly warm.

Stayed at the manor hotel for a night with my partner, we both thought the hotel was great.

We used the spa and loved the discount for hotel guests. The service was amazing, the staff very helpful and welcoming.

In regard to the facilities we didn’t have a shower that worked HOWEVER this was quickly rectified by the hotel desk. We had two options, 1. We move rooms or 2. We can use the shower in an unused room.

They were so lovely in the situation and I had everything I needed, thank you again

I would love to come back to the hotel in the future! Well worth it.

Stayed there for 3 days nice quiet plane beautiful old mannor and lovely garden .. room was ok . Plug sockets are other side of the room so if you caharge your phone at night time you will definitely jump out of bed to turn your alarm off .. towels was changed every day .. 2 thing what bugged me was the shower as the bracket was facing the wall so I had to hold the head to wash .. that is poor .. 17:50 for a breakfast what seems over the top for what it is .. good cafes in the town at half the price .. in the evenings we all eaten out as it seemed over priced for what they are serving .. but apart from that this has potential to be a great place if more effort was involved

This was our 5th stay at the hotel,one if the attractions is the indoor pool & spa facilities, but they now charge £5 per head per night which is not made clear on their website or when booking. The room was just to say warm, but you couldn't turn the heating up at all, it was on full. Also now looking very worn and tired, probably because of the times it has changed ownership. This will be our last stay.

The shower height was only 5 feet approximately which is ridiculous for anyone over 5 feet tall.
Breakfast is out of sorts now, you used to get a cooked buffet breakfast selection, now it is a personal order which adds time on? I've been staying at this Hotel for the last 15 years, it is getting worse

Staff were very friendly but I felt let down by the place. I booked the basic room this overlooked a carpark and on the extension also was freezing I upgraded to a room in the manor this was better but still cold. The room needs your key card to turn on lights and heating. By the time it had heated we went out and it was cold again on our return. The food was average. Overpriced by the ability of the chef to cook it well. Hash browns you couldn't taste any potato they were so overcooked. It was my anniversary and the scallops were very small and overcooked supposed to be on minted pea puree couldn't taste any mint and tasted watery. I go away this time of year often and always have felt warm and cosy. I didn't get this feeling from the hotel apart from pleasant staff.

Booked this for 7 people, for 2 nights. Despite 2 phone calls and an email to advise of travelling as two families, with 1 dog each - one dog to go into each room we booked, it was argued that they were not aware of it. Being charged at £25 per dog per night, for what, when you still end up in the poorest category room in the hotel. Plus £25 per dog per night deposit. Rooms and corridors smelled of damp, but room change was denied because of the dogs. We were 3 and 4 people booked per room, but towels and coffees, teas etc only catered for two. On the first night there was no space to sit and relax as a group with children, due to a funeral wake that took place, it was noisy and full of drunk people - the person who was meant to be remembered would have been ashamed. The hotel is advertised \"with pool\" and picked for that reason but on the leaflet that was handed out at arrival it stated that pool and jacuzzi are available for a fee of £5 per person and £2 per child. Breakfast was mediocre at best and not worth the price charged for it.
On a positive note, the bed was comfortable.
But overall we feel we have been ripped off. When we addressed the issued to the duty manager, they made it clear that they are not bothered, and \"not aware\".

Not bad overall. The old manor looks quite imposing but the rooms were nothing to write home about. Pretty standard and quite comfy. I only had a standard room which was OK. The shower curtain in the bathroom smelt and was an unpleasant shower.

We didn’t like the cancellation RESPONSE (nil) for one of our party - who at 85 had no choice due to ill health - even though we wrote well in time for the hotel to re let.

29th September 2024. We have discovered the hotel charged a guest for two meals - despite the meals being paid for in advance.

I want this disposable retrospective charge TO MY GUEST REFUNDING or we will take the matter further.

The room was spacious and I liked the all in one wet room. The building is old so if anyone is outside or loud in the bar you hear it. The one thing to note is the pool is not free - it's 5GBP for each use, which is not quite what was advertised. There's also no lift so you have to carry all luggage upstairs.

My stay at Stourport Manor, although a short one, was very comfortable. Hotel facilities were exceptional. Unfortunately, due oversnoozing I didn’t get to sample their cuisine, except their full English in the mornings.
It did feel they were maybe short of staff. The staff that I did interact with were very polite and helpful.
Overall, no complaints whatsoever, would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

I can't lie... Definitely not a 4*... When we checked in, we were given a room where the bed had been slept in and there were used glasses everywhere - almost like a Goldilocks situation. Eventually, we were given a room that was \"clean\", if you ignore the several strands of hair in the bed, grimey shower and the pubes under the toilet seat. Overall, the interior is dated and not well managed. Other than cleanliness, the restaurant was closed on the day we arrived for a private function. Would have been good to know this in advance, or at least offer room service. Instead, a staff member suggested going to the festival they were hosting on the grounds, where we would have needed to pay entry. Separately, there was false advertising with the leisure facilities. On the first day, they closed 3 hours early (bank holiday, although would have been good to know in advance). The next day, we were then told we had to pay £5 per person for a day pass (this is not noted on Expedia). One lady staff member was good - very helpful on the bar. The rest of the staff were joking. I spoke to one as he was fleeing the reception desk, as I had a query about the gym fee. He said I'd need to speak to the manager and that one is on the way, then walked off. Nobody ever arrived. Overall, definitely not a 4 star experience.

We arrived polite man on the desk , restaurant staff were very slow and all over the place , food came out , but waited for ages for cutlery , then my granddaughters fish strips had all black marks going through them , they looked awful for a child to eat , let alone an adult . Then had ice cream and again waited a time for cutlery . Just staff need to be more proactive with table service . Apart from that our stay was ok .

Great stay

Had a lovely stay at Stourton manor hotel . Rooms were lovely and clean , hotel has a pool which children can use up to 7pm.
Only a short 10 minute drive from West Midlands Safari Park. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but breakfast was cheaper at the hotel than booking through any booking websites. £15 per person and £7 for children aged 3-15 and free for under 3s

DO NOT STAY HERE.

Really really disappointed. Booked a bigger room which specifically stated the size would be 40 sqm - a 'Classic Family Room'. When we got there it was only a small room they gave us. When I complained they said all the rooms were full so I asked for a refund of the difference in price and they refused. I booked a bigger room because i was there with my 6 month old and I wanted space to entertain him. All they offered was a bottle of wine which was pretty useless because I was breast feeding. They claimed that that was the biggest room they had but the fire evacuation notice on the back of the door clearly showed that the rooms in the other wing were much bigger.
All I wanted was a refund of the difference which I think is more than fair. I complained to hotels.com they did nothing. I compained to the hotel by email multple times and they never responded.

DO NOT STAY HERE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR GUESTS.

Mixed experience but enjoyable overall

Sprawling hotel lacking modernity. But comfortable and great staff. Excellent dinner in the Brasserie and swim in the pool, which was lovely and clean but an extra fiver which was not advertised on the website. My room was ok, but looked out over dirty linen bins at the back of the hotel.

Sham it has potential

The paint work in the room was a bit slapdash with paint smubged on doors from door frame . This gave the place a dont care feeling
Special offer meal deals were offered but had to be ordered via the app which i was unable to operate and staff member shrugged his shoulders.

Convenient location

Better than last time. New owners, staff very friendly and efficient. Breakfast hot and fresh. Had 1 meal during 2 night stay. Better than expected!
Hotel is tired, needs a refurbishment. Good location. Plenty of free parking. Didn’t use leisure facilities, have to pay extra £5 to use pool!
Can only get better, would stay again if in area

Ok stay. Room shower hopeless, no spray just dribble. Comfortable bed.Breakfast was good but staff slow to replenish everything, staff clearly lacked training. No HP sauce.
