Room was very comfortable, was a water stain on ceiling. needs a small shelf in shower at about shoulder height.
Needs some maintenance in a few places. (Chairs on patio, umbrella very stained. Wood on exterior) Very dusty
Breakfast was very good, hot and served by a friendly waitress.
Where not in formed till check in that restaurant closed at 3pm, and that the venue was closing at 7pm for stock take. Could not even get a drink at the bar.

We had a wonderful stay and the staff were incredibly accommodating. They were so helpful in arranging an early check-in for us and even found a room where we could get ready before attending a wedding, which made the whole day much less stressful. Everyone was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to help. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We really appreciated the excellent service and would happily stay here again.

We stayed here just for one night as a last minute getaway for my birthday and absolutely loved it. The weather was amazing and the garden terrace was such a beautiful spot to sit for dinner (and again for breakfast) overlooking the valley.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at both dinner and breakfast was spot on.

Loved the mood of the place, middle of nowhere in the midst of some beautiful countryside. Gardens were top notch but weather sadly precluded their use.

Staff were helpful and room spotless. Only slight downer is that the shower was scalding. Could not get cold water into the shower. Only there for 1 night so not a big deal. Parking easy and EV charger useful.

Breakfast was tasty and well presented. Much to like about the Manor. 👍Recommended.

Stayed as a family, three rooms for two nights. Welcome phone call and email was great as well as when we arrived. Rooms were spacious, clean and modern with great views across the local countryside. Car charging was perfect after such a long journey.

What a lovely quiet area with lots of walks but close to towns and villages with things to do and see. The grounds were well looked after and usable by our dog as was a good part of the restaurant. The 2 crowning glories though were: the food which was of a high standard being well cooked and presented and the staff who were really welcoming and friendly throughout, knowlegeable about the food on offer and well paced with the ordering and delivery of the food.

Wonderful across the board!

A wonderful stay, albeit only one night, that was everything we were hoping for and more. From the warm welcome to the large comfortable room, it really was fantastic. We ended up staying for dinner (nowhere else local as far as we could see) but we're so glad we did. As a family we have dietary needs (I'm vegetarian and my wife is gluten-intolerant) but they were more than happy to help and accommodate. I had the Sweet Potato Gnocchi (it was a 'special') and it was arguably one of the best meals I've ever had. Absolutely beautiful. If we ever need to stay in the area again, I won't hesitate to book again.

Mixed feelings.

On first impressions, The Manor is a beautiful building in a quaint village that promises peace and tranquillity.

The bedroom was charmingly decorated and cosy, the bathroom was oddly oversized, with hanging space hidden at the far end, I’m all for quirky, but not at the expense of practicality.

Unfortunately, the loud thrum and vibrations of extractor fans made it unbearable, like I was lodged in the bowels of some industrial machine. The Velux window lacked sound insulation, meaning cars and conversations in the car-park were also loud in the room.

The kitchen closing provided relief, but other machinery hummed on, earplugs couldn’t fully block out.
As I write this at 10 pm, the noise continues to ruin any chance of an early night, on the second evening, the neighbouring rooms plumbing decided to join the din.

To their credit, the pub itself is tastefully decorated, and the food is excellent, unfortunately, this did not offset two nights of poor sleep.

Breakfast had good choices ordered from the menu, but no sign of cereal, fruit, or toast, a surprising omission I’m accustomed to as a frequent traveller.

In summary, while The Manor looks the part, the lack of soundproofing and the relentless noise make it impossible to recommend for a peaceful stay. It’s a real shame, as there’s potential here, but a good night’s sleep should be non-negotiable.

We booked to stay one night for our anniversary down from the north on the day of the first snow in November! Still our day was delightful, the hotel is based in a picturesque village overlooking open countryside. The view was even more idillic with the covering of snow. Our hostess was very welcoming and very helpful all through our stay. The food was superb, we would have loved to stay longer but we had other commitments. We both thoroughly recommend The Manor at Abberley.

Wonderful! Such a friendly welcome on arrival. Food was a delicious selection and although there’s no cocktail list they readily made whatever we wanted. It’s an idyllic & quintessential place with the original features preserved & a modern touch. Gastro pub with rooms worth checking out.

Loved our little one night trip last night. Perfect stopping off point to visit Ludlow as it was only 30 minutes away today. The staff were all so lovely, chatty and accommodating and the food was exceptional. The room had everything we needed and we loved being able to sit and drink by the log burner before our delicious food and local real ale. We will be back so that we can enjoy the countryside in better weather. The choice of food was amazing and the quality and quantity impressive. Breakfast was delicious.

Very good stay, breakfast needs work.

In a lovely quiet village off the beaten track.
Rooms are large and comfortable. Main issue was with the outdoor light which was not blocked out by the blinds.
Restaurant food is excellent however breakfast was disappointing. The granola and fresh fruit featured only half a strawberry!
Free electric car charger was a big bonus.
In better weather the outside terrace would have been delightful.

We booked a superior king size room, (£124 I think). The room was not large therefore sparsely furnished, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom tiny, shower cubicle very small, ( I’m 5’4” and 9 stone) it was a squeeze.
The breakfast ingredients were good and cooked and presented well. But do look at the menu, what is written is all there is, ie no cereal or fruit to start, so it may not be enough for some people.

We stayed one night in the room with the separate adjoining bathroom and exposed beams. The rooms are above a very nice country pub which looks like it has been refurbished recently. The room was clean and lovely and the bathroom was really nice too. Great water pressure, and the bath fills up nice and quick, with the option of a spacious shower also. A minor failing of the layout was the lack of overhead lighting. No big deal, but my girlfriend moved one of the lamps near the mirror to do her makeup.

Car park on site had plenty of spaces, and the setting in a very small village is very pretty.

Full marks to the food. Reading the menu, you might expect some standard pub grub to come, but the presentation and quality of the food here was exceptional. Whitebait where the nicest I've ever had, and my girlfriend's sea bass was also superbly seasoned and presented. I had the steak and ale pie, which doesn't sound exciting, but the again the presentation and the quality and generosity of the meat made this an exceptional take on a traditional dish. Great dessert too.

All in all a very pleasant stay, which we would happily repeat.

Great hotel with very attentive staff.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds are so comfortable.
Only down fall with our latest stay is the portion size for the breakfast has changed dramatically.
The slice of black pudding I had was not much bigger than a ten pence piece & the whole breakfast looked lost on the size of the plate.
The manor has been our hotel of choice for a while when visiting our grandchildren & I hope the breakfast can go back to how it was a few months ago.

This was a lovely place to stay but our room looked out to gardens and the lights were left on all night and made our room bright. There was also a buzzing noise which kept me awake most of night. Parking was also an issue

Personal Service and Great views

A lovely stay, we felt welcome and received great service. The room had a beautiful view over the terrace, garden and surrounding countryside. It was very spacious, bed comfortable (although thick duvet was a little hot for time of year) huge bathroom and shower. The toiletries provided were very luxurious - even my husband noticed this and I googled them to order my own in the same scent and found shower gel is £22 a bottle! Kettle and plenty of tea coffee and biscuits provided in the room and breakfast was excellent quality. The personal service and attention to detail are the things which enhance a stay and make it so superior to staying in a chain hotel - and actually it was also my cheapest local option so very good value indeed. We stayed with our dog and he was also made welcome. Thanks to James and staff.

Highly recommended

Had a really good stay here, well above what we expected. Room was spacious, super-clean and well maintained. Attention to detail was excellent, for example high quality shampoo etc. Breakfast was cooked to order and was great quality. Would definitely stay here again!

Not advised about the carpark being resurfaced so noise and smell of tarmac plus problems parking
