I researched all the hotels of Girona before my trip and wasn’t sure whether or not to pick Nord 1901 as the reviews were quite mixed, but I’m really pleased I did. The best thing about the hotel is the location, which is ideal for exploring the most interesting and beautiful parts of the city. The hotel is just round the corner from the bridge to the old town, next to a lovely square and a bustling shopping street. Yet it was still very quiet at night.
The room was huge, almost to the point of feeling a bit bare! The bed was comfortable and I slept deeply on both nights of my stay. Shower pressure was spot on.
Staff were helpful and polite. Overall, the hotel is a little old fashioned in style but at this price point, for the size of the room and the hotel location, it’s a really good deal.

We recently stayed here and enjoyed our visit very much. The room was very nice and quiet. Parking is a bit confusing but once you arrive to the hotel they direct you well - tight parking garage though. The breakfast was not our favorite but adequate. Does have a lot of bikers staying at the hotel and they were not the most considerate but this had nothing to do with the hotel.

Great location. Expedia did not book a double bed room as requested, so hotel gave us a cot because they were booked. Very noisy on street below, people out till 2am, trash trucks early am lasting about 1 hour of noise. Perhaps other rooms are off the main street.

We loved the ambience and location of the hotel. The hotel is beautifully decorated and adds many warm inviting spaces for relaxation. We were able to easily get around from the train station to the tourist sites. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.

This is a really good hotel. The standard room was large; big desk, roomy wardrobe, tiny end table, 2 chairs, and bed side tables. The bathroom was nice with a large shower. The beds were very comfortable. There were not USB ports in room, but we had our international outlets and chargers with us. I was surprised by no coffee pot, just kettle and instant coffee. We think it was a great value. The reception staff were very helpful.

This is a comfortable hotel centrally located in Girona. Parking around the corner (very tight spaces, as is usual in Spain), friendly parking attendant. Had \"junior suite\", which was basically just a larger room, plain and sparsely decorated. Good breakfast buffet. Internet connection good. Dinner in hotel so-so and expensive. Restaurant Blanc across the street is very good and not expensive. Staff was helpful and friendly. Comfortable public spaces. I would stay here again.

The windows did not face outside, but rather a courtyard with a metal walkway right outside window. So we always had to keep the curtains closed for privacy as anyone could walk on the metal walkways. They also made a lot of noise if someone walked by with a roller suitcase

I booked the cheapest room that has windows into a light well and I tbh wouldn’t open the windows or curtains as it’s not very private but for a one night, jet lagged stay this room was perfect and very cheap. Hotel is in THE perfect location - 30 second walk from plenty of bars and restaurants and a couple of minutes beyond that to the beautiful old town. Very clean, modern, breakfast is good and swimming pool area is a great little sun trap for a mid afternoon rest. Would definitely stay again.

Parked round the corner in an underground car park. Unloaded and walked 2 minutes to the hotel. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman whose English was fantastic. Check in was easy and I was in my room within 5 mins from entering the premises. The room was spacious, clean and more than adequate for my needs. Location was ideal for local restaurants and bars and well within walking distance. Breakfast was lovely. The food and the fresh orange was amazing. There was a slight issue with the coffee machine but the waiter soon fixed the issue and brought the coffee to our table. Overall, a lovely little hotel and if I work in Girona again I shall be returning!!
