Bon séjour, personnel sympathique , l'hotel bien situé proche du centre ville ( 10 minutes a pieds) et de la gare (10 minutes en bus ou 20 minutes à pieds) - Nous étions dans une chambre non renové, il fallait payé un surplus pour etre dans une chambre refaite je trouve le procédé limite. Le montant de préautorisation est également trop élevé, plus cher que le prix de la chambre !!!

Overall the stay was fine, there were one or two minor things that one would not have expected from a 4 star hotel.
There were only paper cups in the room - one would have expected at least plastic or preferably glass. Although there was tea and coffee there was no milk or even powdered milk.

Double bed for a family room on forst floor opposite lift and stair well. Incredibly noisy for most of the night by other hotel users. Also, noise from lobby area could be hears and breakfast being set up. Bedroom nowhere near as nice as lobby would suggest. Swimming pool tiny. Beer too expensive and wasnt allowed to put on our room bill when sitting at pool sode. Staff at front desk very friendly and helpful.

Used this hotel as a stopover on our way to the South of France. Hotel is not in the best condition and could use a proper renovation (toilets don’t flush, pool was out of order during our stay), carpeting and bedding clean but old an worn. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Tout d'abord, sachez qu'à mon départ je me suis entretenue avec le réceptionniste qui m'a fait une remise de 40€ sur la note totale. Chambre 110, payée 150€. Chambre très vieille et très mal entretenue:
Robinet thermostatique bloqué et cassé à 38° (pas d'eau froide). Douche de tête pleine de calcair (j'ai nettoyé moi même). Gel douche fixé au mur en plein milieu de la douche (je me suis cogné sans cesse dedans). Peinture craquée dans la sdb. WC encrassé. Poil humain au sol. Contoure de porte rongé. Climatisation bloquée à 22°. Pas de prises électrique en tête de lit. Trace d'un vieux tableau au mur. Bref 150€ pour une telle prestation, été ou pas, c'est du vol.

I booked a room for myself and my 2 children. I paid the half board rate. On arrival, I was told that my children were not included in the half board rate.
At dinner, I was given my starter and main which I chose from a small, separate menu and then instead of being offered dessert, they asked ‘would you like a coffee or is everything finished?’
At breakfast, it was really busy, so we were out in an overflow room which wasn’t made up. ‘Leave it to us’ they said. So we served ourselves at the buffet and then came back to find the one table they had laid was occupied. Some stood in the middle of the lobby with our bowls of cereal and waited for cutlery, a glass and somewhere to sit.
The room was filthy, and really noisy/ it well insulated from the noise of the other rooms.

Didn't like that we purchased room with balcony at an extra cost but unusable as very dirty (being kind) and no furniture to use.
No maintenance available at weekends and had to live with flickering lights in the bathroom which was unpleasant.
Property is well kept on the inside but tired on the outside.

Excellent weekend stay

Christian at the Reception gave us an enthusiastic and informative welcome. The entire staff was communicative, efficient and affable. The room was comfortable, spacious and functional with river view. It became warm in the middle of the two nights, even though the thermostat indicated 18C. Felt like 26C. Dinner at L'Entreact was a pleasant surprise. Our waiter, Mourchad was attentive and took excellent care of us. The Menu offers a vast variety of choices. Food preparation was very good. The entire wait staff offered great and accommodating service to all patrons. And specially with children. The facade needs a touch up but the lobby is classy.

Par contre le lit était super et la double fenêtre coupe complètement le bruit de la route

Great overnight stay. The hotel is conveniently situated at the entrance to the city so easy to park and then a 10 minute walk into the centre along the river. Good sized room (we had a family room) which was comfortable. We didn't have breakfast but it did look nice so we definitely do that next time. Lovely outside pool area and a really friendly welcome. We love Orleans so this is a great stopover for us

We really enjoyed dinner in the restaurant - it was original and delicious, and included fresh vegetables. Breakfast was good too. The room was comfortable with a good shower.
The only drawback for me was the décor. I found it lacked subtlety and good taste - lots of black and hard, shiny accents.

The common areas at this hotel are beautiful. The outdoor deck and pool are beautiful, the reception area is very nice, and the restaurant is attractive. The location is great.

The hallways and our room needed paint and updating. The porch floor was pealing and cracked, and the ceiling had what looked like a water leak line.
The dinner staff were wonderful, especially Massey and the chef…and the food was delicious. The breakfast staff were not great, with minimal friendliness and interaction, and the breakfast buffet was very poor. Very poor scrambled eggs, a rude response from 1 male waiter when a request was made for a fried egg, the cheese choice was minimal, sweaty and moldy, and there was no fruit salad. The breakfast staff were more concerned about setting up for lunch in stead of attending to our needs. Very poor. They need waitress and waiter training!!

Un bel établissement suite aux travaux récents que nous avons suivi venant dans cette hôtel tous les ans.
Malheureusement les finitions laissent à désirer pour un établissement 4 étoiles: moquette tachée de marques jaunes dans diverses endroits, portes des ascenseurs présentant encore des marques de laitance, sol du petit déjeuner et table des mugs tachés…
Le plus affligeant pour un hôtel 4 étoiles a été le niveau du personnel - peu aimables pour certains, non chalands et très en retrait sur l’ancipation des besoins du client. Nul doute que le personnel, pour certains collaborateurs, n’est pas à la hauteur de l’établissement et est à l’origine de cette malencontreuse expérience dans un établissement où nous n’avons habituellement jamais été déçu tant il a du potentiel et tant il est bien placé.

This hotel should not be a 4 stars. Very old furniture. Not outlets with international plugs. No plugs by the bed. Truly need to be renovated. The pictures are much better than the actual room. Humidity in the bathroom with low ceiling. Not Impressed for a Mercure! Not worth the amount paid!

Staff friendly and helpful. Parking 6 euros. We stayed in a family room. Cot was free. Bathroom could do with an upgrade. Breakfast was completely overpriced. 17 euros per person for cheese, hams, cereals, eggs, low quality bacon, bread, small pastries (only croissants and pain au chocolat. For that price per person, I would have expected sausages, pancakes and different pastries. We stayed at another hotel in a neighboring town a week earlier and paid 10 euros per person for a far better breakfast

Hotel is about a 6 minute walk from the main shopping and restaurant area alongside the river. Room was spacious with a good shower and bathroom. Came with a balcony which you obviously weren’t expected to use as it didn’t include table and chairs and hadn’t been swept clean. Hotel currently undergoing upgrading. Breakfast good with lots of choices.

Property was centrally located as well a being right on the Liore. The bike path was right in front of the hotel, which was very convenient for us and the staff was very bike friendly.

DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN

When it's in the middle of a major renovation, it's probably not the best time to leave a review. However, the actual reno work didn't impact on our stay, except for the fact that some of the facilities weren't available.
The rooms are large, clean and comfortable and typical of Mercure hotels in France ---- better than Mercure hotels I've stayed at in England.
The restaurant will never get a Michelin star, but if all you need is a decent meal at a reasonable price then it's fine. Although it's called Mercure Central, be prepared for a 15 + min walk to all the restaurants in the old town. or to any restaurant at all.
Basically, it's a good safe option with on-site parking ( 6.50 Euro / night ) at a reasonable price.

Just a 5 minutes off the Auto Route and with reasonable price for parking (would be nicer if free for guests). Great location and only a 20 minute stroll from the main sights.

Didn't use the pool, but it looked great and seems like it gets the sun all day.

We booked for 1 night at the end of our trip in the Loire Valley, the night before we drove to Paris

There is paid parking and the overnight rate is different from the full day (6.50 Euro).

The hotel offers room service and offers dinner in the restaurant.

The staff are helpful and speak English.

We took a room for 4 people with 2 double beds. There was a fridge, hotpot with tea and coffee. Cable tv, a large clean bathroom. It was comfortable and suited our needs.

We loved the location of the hotel. Its a close walk into town. The hotel faces the water and is right by a walk and bike path around the river.
