Petit déjeuner complètement désorganisé le 1er matin plus rien à boire ou manger à 09h30. Le lendemain le ménage a été fait et la femme de ménage a laissé la chambre ouverte avec la cale jusqu’à ce que l’on rentre le soir. Dans la salle de bain la VMC ne fonctionnait pas donc obligé de laisser làporte de la salle de bain ouverte pour évacuer la buée et l’humidité après la douche. la réceptionniste nous fait un geste commercial en nous offrant le petit déjeuner le 2eme jour. La commentaires n’est pas passée à la réceptionniste du lendemain qui nous réclame le paiement. Bref que de déception pour un 4*.

Booked a family room with sofa bed. Arrived to find sofa bed not open or made up and no towels for the children. The weather was about 34 degrees outside and the A/C was not working in the room. Staff clearly knew this was the case as there was a very poor old fan in the room. The doors to the toilet and bathroom did not shut properly. Then when we returned in the evening the hotel lobby smelled like a dirty mop bucket. Staff were friendly enough but aside from that this was the worst budget hotel I’ve stayed in in a long while.

Our fourth stop here. Gets better everytime. The staff on reception are very friendly and welcoming and also remembered us 😀 Rooms are clean and comfortable. Location of the hotel is excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Hôtel en plein centre ville mais qui a l’âge de ses fondations.
L’hôtel est en lien direct avec le tramway.
Dès qu’il passe, de 5 heures à 1h du matin, les murs tremblent.
La porte de la chambre, les murs, et les plafonds ne sont pas isolés phonétiquement.
Dès qu’un occupant passe dans le couloir, ferme une porte où marche dans sa chambre, vous partager tous ses faits avec lui.
Malgré un personnel agréable, une literie irréprochable et une chambre spacieuse, je ne retournerai pas dans cet hôtel.

The location is excellent. The bed was super soft. The only issue was the heater, which didn't seem to be working. We called reception, but no one picked up the phone. It was the end of the year so we were expected to find a few staff. But over all it was good.

Very unique hotel. Very very nice bed. The best shower I've ever experienced in a hotel. Stayed an overnight - checked in late around 11:15 pm and left early the next morning. This is a very lovely town. Please note: parking is off site. You have to drop your luggage off and then drive to the parking and walk back about 12 minutes to the hotel.

La literie était très bien et c’est le seul côté positif que je retienne. Pour une nuit à 200€, nous n’avons pas été contents et on se demande pourquoi l’hôtel bénéficie de 4 étoiles . Nous allons toujours dans des 4 étoiles et passons environ 30 nuits/an à l’hôtel donc bonne expérience.
L’hôtel est très bruyant ( les voisins de chambres, le tramway dans la rue, des bruits parasites dans le couloir) , bref, difficile de trouver le sommeil.
La salle de bain est minuscule. En me séchant les cheveux , mes coudes heurtaient la paroi de douche ou le mur !
Le petit déjeuner se déroule dans une pièce trop petite où il est difficile de trouver une place et quand c’est le cas, c’est collé -serré avec les voisins. Les œufs brouillés ressemblent à de l’éponge …
Le parking est loin de l’hôtel (7 mm à pied) et c’est pénible pour les bagages !

DON’T STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Someone stole our computer from our room. We stayed there for a night from Saturday to Sunday in June. I chose the hotel because it had 4 stars and Expedia said it had parking. The first surprise is that DOES NOT HAVE PARKING, the receptionist sends you to a city parking that is 10-min. walking distance (add another 10 euros to your budget). BW will not pay it for you. The 4-star rating is an overstatement. The building is old, lacks proper maintenance. AC in rooms does not work. The coffee machine in the lobby does not work. We were given a room that had no soap and the shower drain was clogged. We asked for a room change and we got the room next door. Both (standard) rooms were small. At some point when we went briefly outside the room either that evening or the next morning, somebody entered our room, opened my backpack and stole our computer and its charging cord. Only that and for that reason we realized until we had left Orleans and had arrived to Paris. I have called the reception three times, I wrote an email… and so far, four days later, the Hotel has done nothing to help me. AVOID Best Western Hotel d’Arc. One of the worst hotel experiences in my life and I am a seasoned traveler.

The hotel is centrally located but a nightmare to get to by car as it is an a restricted area. We eventually found it after being misdirected by the sat-nav several times. The reception staff were very helpful and directed us to a secure car park within walking distance (very expensive!) but it would have been better if we had been directed to a car park in the first place.

Only here for an overnight, I wish we had longer. Orleans is such a beautiful city. This charming hotel is situated a great location, close to all the hustle and bustle and sights of the historical part of the city. Do note, the hotel has no parking so Yiu need to sort that out.

The hotel entrance is just in front of the mall/train station and easy to access if you use the underground car parking of the mall.
However it was closed on a Sunday when we arrived and that made it difficult to find nearby parking ( eventually we did and street parking is free until 9am).
The location is great but the room is very small. The bathroom is extremely small and when we arrived at reception we felt we didn’t get a warm welcome. Not too bad but not great. In the room there was only one set of towels so I ring reception and got the second set fairly quickly. Unfortunately it was stained…. And got it changed again.

Bedroom was a good size with separate toilet and large shower room.

There was a mark on the bedhead,which we cleaned bed with gel. Check out was not given upon arrival , however we did ask for a one hour extra which they kindly gave us due to our late arrival.

For a breakfast @€15 per person, we would expect a larger selection for a buffet. No vegetarian options...

Great to for an overnight or business stay and Orleans City Centre is very beautiful ! Thank you!

Quaint hotel with good sized rooms, clean and comfortable. Great location. Toilet housed in a small room, but OK if you're not oversized. Major problem with drainage and the smell of the shower room though - might just be room 30 I don't know. Two weeks after my stay and I can still smell it. I was only there for 2 nights though and only spent a literal 5 minutes in there so didn't bother to bring it up with the management. Breakfast OK. Small selection of breads, coffee, cheeses, hams, jams, etc. as you'd expect from a continental. Bottom line: Comfortable and clean, but beware the smell in the bathroom.

Good central location and nice building. Good sized rooms and bathrooms which were clean and well presented. Breakfast good but at €16.50 per head, was expensive and not good value. Disappointing that we were charged a supplement for our dog, most hotels in France we have stayed at allow him to stay for free. Website seemed to offer free parking, however we were charged for parking in a public car park which was a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Overall we liked the hotel itself, but felt that the costs of the breakfast, parking and the dog supplement did not represent good value

I have been in France without air conditioning for over 6 weeks. The air conditioning in this hotel was phenomenal. I actually had to turn it off one day for a few hours. The bed was comfortable with a nice soft topper on the mattress. My pillows were fluffy and very comfortable. I also loved the rain shower head in the shower. I was very happy with my stay and ended up booking an extra night just to enjoy the comforts. The staff were kind and helpful. The hotel is also just a two minute walk from the train station and a block away from the closest tram stop. The double-pane windows kept the too quiet at night, so I slept well.

The front desk staff were amazing. As we are traveling by bike throughout Europe, we had a few special requests, including shipping some bike parts to the hotel as well as a request for a competent bike shop for some repairs. In both cases we received prompt replies and both our requests were fulfilled. The hotel is close to the train station and located perfectly in the old town area. The room was of a perfect size for our needs, with a comfortable bed and bathroom. We would definitely recommend the Hotel d’Arc to anyone visiting Orleans. It is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city.

We had a one night stay so I don't feel qualified to rate accurately, but it seemed to be a good location for touring the city. We had a short walk to the town square at the end of the street surrounded by lovely classic structures and its statue of Jean d,Arc. We enjoyed a classic French meal in a bistro recommended by the hotel clerk. Shopping and other restaurants all within walking distance as well as what we were told is the historic part of the city. It was hard to get to by car....lots of one way streets and a tricky entrance if you are driving and want to unload or pick up. Furthermore, parking was a challenge for us as we were in a large van, but there is parking available for smaller vehicles and the train station is right across the street. I was charmed by the old building with its wide winding staircase wrapped around a tiny elevator, as well as our classic French balcony. Our bathroom was very updated. Fair price. Nice breakfast buffet available. Friendly, helpful, professional staff. Maybe not the best choice for our particular travel situation, but I'd return if I wanted to spend a few days in the city.

Booked as a half way stop over for the family driving back from the south as many others seem to do. Family Room perfect for the job. Parking is a bit of a pain but worth it for the central location (beautiful city) so much so that if we do it again we may stop over two nights. If parking bothers you use an out of town Novotel or something. Read further down adverse comments about the size of the lift (get a grip) but that is what you get if you stay in a character filled non chain location. We rather liked its quaintness! Excellent breakfast (not cheap but kids eat free) or plenty of cafes a short walk away. Very pleasant and helpful staff, and surprisingly quiet for a central location, even with the tramway outside. Will use again.

This is a charming little hotel located in the central business district. It is very difficult to find by car because it is located on a street which is closed to traffic. This makes it hard to load and unload luggage and then park the car which is not near the hotel.

I stayed here for bussiness reasons. The hotel is rather small with a very historic character, which made it very cosy. I was amazed by the elevator. Although the historic look, the hotel is very decent and nice. I liked staying here. Also, WIFI is really high speed.

Touring holiday by car. First time I've stayed at a supposedly 4 star hotel with no restaurant but room service. The reality is that the area of the original hotel which contained the restaurant and lounges has at some time in the past been sold off for shops. What is left is the entrance and the rooms. The room service is odd. The meals come in a cardboard box on a plate. On the night we stayed there was only one dish available, fish and vegetable . It sounds awful but the food was actually surprisingly good. The only wine they had were those inexorable little bottles you find in Tesco's which left me with a headache in the morning. Access to the hotel on a tram only street can be found by luck ( in our case) or finding out from the hotel beforehand. Without a very detailed map of the street system of Orleans you could find yourself driving around in circles ( as we did until we were lucky). Parking is provided at a reduced price in a large underground public parking area.
Having said all that, we stayed the night on a Saturday night in June and had a wonderful day exploring the centre of Orleans for which the location of the hotel is ideal. There are good restaurants close by.

The staff are great, and that makes a big difference.

Only stayed one night to break a long journey. Room recently refurbished to a high standard. Only negative was not being able to cool the room down. Could only get 16degrees which is too warm for us at night. Everything else was brilliant. Didn't sample any food, so can't comment on that. Wonderful old lift.

Oda çok güzeldi, tek kelimeyle bayıldım özellikle manzarasına… Resepsiyondakiler çok güleryüzlüydü. Otelle ilgili en büyük sıkıntı bence asansörü, inanılmaz dar. Onun dışında çok güzel. Çok memnun kaldım

Avis a lire !

Petit déjeuner fourni mais pas vraiment bon , aucun serveur durant le petit déjeuner. J'ai demandé expressément la climatisation (qui ne fonctionnait pas) on m'a promis qu'il pouvait la régler a distance (ce qu'il n'ont pas fait). On a ouvert la fenêtre, du coup plusieurs piqûres de moustiques (sans rire !) . La salle de bain était microscopique ( wc entre paroi de douche et mur sans aucune marge. Ensemble de l'hôtel vieillot, le seul point positif un grand lit confortable dans une grande pièce (en comparaison avec la salle de bain). Ce n'est plus ce que c'était best western...

Es hat uns gut gefallen, war alles in Ordnung. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, alles zu Fuss gut erreichbar. Obwohl das Tram direkt vor dem Zimmer vorbeifuhr, haben wir dieses kaum gehört.
