We truly loved this hotel, it is conveniently located directly across from the train station. Our room was extraordinary, it was located on the fourth floor overlooking the town center. The sunset was fabulous on each night of our stay. We highly recommend this hotel, everything was perfect!

The hotel is in a shopping area with many shops and restaurants. We love the location.

No on-site parking because it's in front of the train track. It's walkable to the street parking slot, not an issue. We only found it out when we reached the hotel with our full hands of luggage. We didn't know we could stop our car in front of the hotel to unload our luggage if we were the guests because the road sign showed no right turn to the hotel.

Our room size is ok. The mattress was too soft for my back, so I preferred a firm mattress bed instead. The glass shower screen doesn't stop the water spilt from the bathtub, so the bathroom was wet after the shower. Maybe the hotel can consider putting a shower curtain instead.

It's a small hotel. It hasn't reached 3-star standard yet, but we are happy to stay here to enjoy our shopping and excellent restaurants within walkable distance.

Sent over to Best Western- Nice downtown hotel

The Campanile was actually closed for the holidays, so we were sent across the street to the Best Western. The receptionist was great, the time were clean and spacious. Although the doors to the bathroom left much to be desired... (there are spaces all some The shower/ sink room door since ot is only a swinging door).. but a minor complaint for a very nice downtown French hotel.

It was hot weather but no aircon in our room, only a noisy fan. With the light rail directly below our window we couldn't open the window because of noise.

Enjoyed a 1 night stay at the Campanille, not that easy to get to as it is located on a barrier precinct. On our arrival the staff were very friendly, our double room was on the 2nd floor. On entering the room we could immediately smell cigarette smoke, on booking I assumed all hotel rooms are none smoking in future I will double check this as None smokers this is not nice ! Pleased to see facilities to make a tea/coffee, appreciated early morning. A nice little balcony facing out onto one of the main streets, a very good location in the middle of restaurants shops etc. Offered a discount for local car park quite nearby.

Great location!

Location was excellent. Close to the train station, shops, supermarket, points of interest. The Juliet balcony was great for fresh air. Staff very helpful. The clean and updated room had a kettle and instant coffee/tea, but It really needed a small refrigerator to keep milk as the little pots of creamer were tiny! Room service paid no attention to the 'do not disturb' sign so use the manual lock inside if you need to be left alone. The hotel had English speaking TV news channels if that's important to you. Did not take the breakfasts so cannot comment on that. Overall, I would stay there again.

Everything within walking distance

This hotel is situated along the main road in the city center. There are numerous shops and restaurants located just steps from the hotel entrance. The building is quite old and has a lot of character. Our room was okay - just enough for a good night's sleep. Despite the non-smoking signs posted in the room, the clients before us obviously puffed away leaving the room with that nasty smell. Since we arrived rather late and were quite fatigued, we didn't request another room.

We chose this hotel as it was close to the railway station, but only found out later that our train to Paris departed from the Aubrais station about a mile north! However, there was a quick connection from the tram which ran past the hotel.
The hotel is very central which made it excellent for shopping, eating and bars.

Orleans is a fun town to explore spend the niight

Convenient location and easy to get around town from this great spot in Orleans. travelled by train to and from town, and could only ask for a softer mattress. We spent several days going from Paris to Nice and this was a very pleasant spot to investigate town from.

The hotel was a short walk from the square where Orleans has expressed its appreciation of Jehanne of Domremy with a statue of her. The only problem I had was that I couldn't send e-mails because I received messages telling me to call my internet service provider. The breakfast was quite adequate.

We stayed in room #208 for 2 nights. The hotel is located in the center of Orleans within walking distance of the cathedral and other tourist sites and across the street from Place d’Arc commercial center. The room has one king bed, a desk, one luggage rack, and a stool. The bathroom has a shower/tub combination and a modern sink with storage beneath and some to the side of the sink. There is a hairdryer. The hotel offers free WIFI and breakfast for a fee. There is no hotel parking but there is public pay parking about 2 blocks away from the hotel. The reception staff was helpful and spoke English.

The location could not have been better for us since we were traveling by train and the hotel is across the street from the main station. Fantastic value and service!

A perfect stop off on our way south. The hotel is vey comfortable and the staff were helpful. Tremendous value, and the price included breakfast AND a packed lunch! The only downside is that since it is in a pedestrian area with only trams allowed, unloading can be a problem, The advantage was that it was very central.

Average hotel but good for a car

This is a standard hotel, reasonably good value and reasonably close to the city centre. If you have a car it's a good choice because there are car parks very close by. The only criticism I would make is that the management should make sure that the facilities have been properly checked. For example, the room safe was already locked and the air conditioning wasn't powered when we arrived.

Hotel was fine. The shower worked okay but we couldn't help getting water on the wood floor. They will have some repair problems with that floor in the future. The breakfast was adequate and something like we get in the U.S. A better light by the bed for reading would be nice. The room was larger than many we have had in France.

Overall good value and good location for exploring Orleans. Room was clean and modern, but very small. Hotel's location on pedestrian street was great once you've arrived, but hard to access by car. The hotel offers a discounted overnight rate at a nearby garage, but I didn't find that out until I checked in.

We only stayed here one night. The walls have no insulation--you can hear everything that everyone does. Fortunately, the noisy people next door quieted down shortly after we went to bed. After that, all was peaceful. The room isn't spacious, but for one night wasn't a problem. The locations is very good--on one of the main streets, and right across from a mall (we like being able to buy a few groceries). There seemed to be no heat coming from the radiator, even though we were assured that it was working. Fortunately, it wasnt' cold enough that we needed it. The \"boxed lunch\", although not gourmet, worked for something to nibble on while we were driving. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Across street from train station. Great service and amenities like continental breakfast, welcoming wine and bagged lunch. Very clean, a little worn and bed could be less stiff. Used discounted hotel parking first night for about 16 hrs, but paid 40% less for same time next night by just paying at parking garage. Close to shopping and sights. Would definitely stay again.

Horrible hotel. My room was cold and I asked for heat. I was told there would not be any. No bar in hotel. Extremely small room - could barely get by the bed to the bathroom. Hot water ran out in my shower and I was not taking a long shower. Very noisy location. Breakfast was not great. The croissants were not baked all the way through - very doughy.

Fantastic vaue + excellent welcome but no parking.

An excellent, good value stay, with charming staff and welcome. Breakfast was included, as was a welcome drink, and a picnic lunch on departure! It is very central, walking distance from the cathedral. The only real disadvantage was the fact that, because it is in a pedestrian zone, taking the luggage in was a bit of a problem, although they said we could bring the car up to the front to un load (not keen on this, since it was a tram lane!) As a result of this, we had to park in a public car park, which cost us 19 euros!!!!! (we stayed from 7.00 pm to midday the next day. Perfect for a journey break.

Quality Hotel Orléans Centre (France)

If you are arriving by train - you cannot beat this, it is literally across the street and a 5 minute walk from the station.

If you are looking for a large spacious room - this is not the place for you, the room is small but then again, you're on vacation - what are you doing in here other than to sleep!

The place was clean, the breakfast buffet was good, people friendly...

The hotel was under major reconstruction, however it did not interfere. Large comfortable room with large screen TV. My room was on the street side and the windows open so I could watch the crowd of people. Quiet with windows closed and at late night. Easy access to trains and tram and taxis. The receptionist was more than helpful, the aperatif on arrival and the packed lunch on leaving were both nice touches and very much appreciated. \"Less than what you pay\"

The hotel is well located, but it is recommended to contact them first if you are arriving by car. It is not allowed to enter that specific avenue (only streetcars), but there are allowances for a certain time frame. Public parking is close. The hotel is old and the maintenance is not good. There is no air conditioniing and if you open the window you will have to keep up with the traffic noise. The attention/service of the staff is the highest point, though.

Excellent overnight stop hotel. Use it regularly

This is a great hotel for a short stop in Orleans. There is an entrance off the main street which leads straight into a small lobby with reception. There are no lounges and only a small seating area in the lobby. Basically it's rooms with reception on the ground floor and a breakfast restaurant area on the first floor. It is right near the station and on one of the main shopping streets only 5-10 minutes walk to the cathedral and the restaurants in the old town. It has 4 floors with a small lift to get you there. Although you can overlook a main street with trams, there is double glazing and aircon so you can shut it out if you want but it is not very noisy after about 11pm. I think reception is manned 24/7 and they are very helpful.
The stair carpet is a bit worn but we think that adds a bit of character. The rooms are clean albeit decorated a bit 'orange' but good showers and modern sanitary wear. At our last visit (Oct 09) the tariff for a double room included a really comprehensive buffet breakfast -rolls, croissant, cereals, fresh fruit, juice, yoghurts etc plus tea and coffee. They also had a special offer on at that time of a free welcome drink and a free packed lunch for the next day. There is a car park just round the corner that is free between 7pm and 9am and also Sundays. If you want somewhere reliable to stay in the heart of Orleans, this is it.
