The accommodation was good. We went for breakfast at 8am they had run out of ham, salami, and both cheeses, as well as the bacon and eggs. When I asked if they could put out more he said it was all finished. About half an hour later some scrambled eggs arrived but too late by then.

Photograph showed a modern hotel - this was just reception and dining in a separate building. The hotel part was a very dated Motel in desperate need of being upgrading. Bedrooms were small and the room basic. Felt the breakfast was a bit overpriced for what was on offer.

Needs a better roof top light to show where it is.

A lovely place but in trying to find it I was in a massive storm and took a while to find it!! There is no name up on lights facing the road( like other hotels in the area! ) this was at 11pm at noght. I found it by chance.

Used to be good, but not anymore

We used to like this hotel for overnight stays on trips into France. However, things seem to have changed and the hotel isn't nearly as good as it used to be. Check-in was messy; rooms still had a kettle but without any cups, coffee or tea (so, what's the point); and beds were not great. The hotel claims it has a bar, however, once dinner closes, it is not allowed to serve drinks anymore and you're left with nothing - in a hotel in an industrial estate. It's a real shame that quality has dropped so much here.

Room not made up but got immediate replacement . Rooms on return stay had wet room which meant whole of bathroom floor was soaked and sink taps only gave cold water and you had to keep your hand over tap flow button all the time otherwise it stopped.

Check in was OK. Handy Blue Badge parking right outside our room. Bathroom and shower were both nice and clean. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable. One weird experience was when I asked reception for some toilet paper, I got told that the manager wouldn’t allow staff to give it out. When I pointed out the fact that we had been left with only about a foot of paper he still stuck to his guns. Only when I asked for directions to somewhere to buy paper he gave in and arranged for some to be delivered to our room. It was delivered to us by a Surly woman who muttered under her breath, scowled and flounced out of the room. However we both had a good nights sleep so though annoyed at our treatment, after a not too bad breakfast we checked out. Not too sure if we would stay there again. Probably not....

I was due to arrive after the reception closed so I phoned beforehand and they told me my room number, where it was, the gate code and where I would find my key. Everything was as discussed. Great service. Room as always was clean and comfortable. Ideal for a one night stop over and convenient for the auto route and the Auchan petrol station.

This was a last minute booking which only took 10 minutes from booking on my tablet on the hotels.com website to actually checking in so great start .....room clean and tidy good facilities just what was needed after a 400 mile drive ...However ......all downhill from there the noise!!!!!! the walls paper thin so you could here from rooms adjacent and also they allow dogs and you could here the yapping from 2 floors down....If you want peace and quiet don't stay here go to a cheaper hotel like A premier classe very basic but at least you get a good nights sleep!!!

Everything you need for a short stay with added bonus of available meal, tasty and simple. Thank goodness the bed was comfortable. Avoid Orleans if it's been raining as when it is flooded it is a nightmare to get anywhere and the Toll roads are shut!! Sadly I could not go and see Orleans but maybe next time when it's dry.

We were greeted by being told there was no chef tonight (Sunday) and we stay at Campaniles because of the good value restaurants. There were cold dishes. We ate at the local Poive Rouge - don't go there - awful meal!

Hot night in Orleans!

An overnight stop, returning to UK from S France. The hotel has clearly been renovated and is a clean, tidy and pleasant one. The Staff (a single Manager) was friendly and efficient. The hotel has a pleasant restaurant and breakfast was excellent. However ... the room we stayed in had been exposed to the sun all day and on entering was in the low 30C. The room had but one opening window so that there is no through draught and such breeze as was present failed to enter the room. The Manager apologised for no air-conditioning but appeared to miss the point that the addition of a simple fan would have solved the problem; as it was we spent the night in what I can only describe as the most expensive sauna I have ever visited!
Do not visit this hotel in the height of summer unless you can ensure that you take a room on the shaded side!

It is difficult to provide a full review because unfortunately the hotel had recently had a fire in the dining room, and repairs were being carried out at the time of both our visits on March 31 and April 21, so the dining room was not functioning, though breakfast was still available in the hotel. The rooms have been recently decorated and refurbished in a very attractive way.

This hotel will be nice when it is ready for occupation but is in the process of a major refurbishment and redecoration, many of the rooms are closed and empty, those that were available smelt of toxic paint fumes as had been repainted during the last few days. We tried several rooms and one of the rooms 007 did not even exist, then asked for a refund which could not be given, we eventually settled for a ground floor room that had been the first to be repainted. It still smelt strongly of fumes, we had to turn off heating and leave window open, both of us were affected by it in the morning. Although you said it had a restaurant, it did not have at present as that was closed also for redecoration. I am surprised you booked us into this hotel and at present it was not worth the money paid. Although will be in time.I feel some financial compensation should be paid.

Good base for one or two nights

The hotel is conveniently close to the tramway into the centre to see the cathedral and other attractions. It was further from the river than I thought and so nowhere pleasant to walk in the evening. We had planned to eat in the centre (best choice) but for various reasons decided to find somewhere near the hotel. Some restaurants of unknown quality nearby. Restaurant at hotel had OK meals but not brilliant for the price, and they tried to charge for tap water - which had been free at every other restaurant we ate in during our stay in France. After eating our evening meal there we didn't bother with breakfast because we thought it was overpriced for what we might get.

The hotel staff were very friendly. the room was just OK as one of the lightbulbs was broken and a new one was not received. There was only one plug which fitted the bath and not the basin so it was not easy to wash, apparently this is hotel policy. The bedside table was in three pieces so difficult to balance night time items. The food was good value and the house wine too. We might not stay at this hotel again as there are others in the area

Very expensive for £71. The room was clean, nothing really wrong with it, but very basic and dated. Ok for one night but no longer. The advantage was that it had a car park so you didn't have to take everything out of the car. I have stayed in better rooms in France for £40.

Shuttered windows were a bit of a turn off at first. However, room was very nice and very clean. Close to toll road and not too much else.So, good for travellers and maybe bot as good for holidaying people.
buffet dinner was good value and tasty.
No bicycle storage but allowed us to put bikes in room.

Very close the autoroute but noise not noticeable at night - more so from local road during the day. Service was excellent and always with a smile. Rooms were small - tight to get around even! No fridge and pretty basic in terms of toiletries, i.e. none apart from wall dispensers. Noise was an issue but from other rooms - the floors were wood and the chairs scraped really loudly.

AVOID THIS PLACE-YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

This is a MOTEL not a hotel. It has TWO stars, not three, as advertised on the Internet site. It is overpriced and should never be booked in the winter months. We were on the third floor, with no lift and and only a concrete, spiral, outside staircase. It snowed and was windy and icy. When the staff at reception were informed that the stairs were dangerous, they agreed, but offered neither assistance nor any positive action.
We suggest that this establishment's amenities are reviewed and would strongly advise other travellers to avoid it entirely.

the room was all that it should have been, and cleanliness was excellent. However, the restaurant was very poor. there was (so we were told) no refrigeration working and so no starters or deserts could be served. Only hot food available ( on a day where temperatures had been 41 degrees C !! The one course we were served for dinner took 45 minutes to appear and we were aware that some guests waited even longer. We suspect trouble in the kitchen rather than technical problems. Breakfast next morning was non existent. Not a good experience and a poor advertisement for Campanile.

Orleans overnight

We stayed overnight on our way north. The hotel is very convenient for the motorway. We went into Orleans on the new tram system: the tram stop is about 5-10 minutes walk and the trams are frequent. The hotel is more of a motel, the bedrooms are in a 3 story block and reception is in a sparate nearby building with the restaurant and bar. The rooms are not very big and do not appear to have air conditioning, but they are quiet and well maintained. The hotel is situated on the edge of town in an area with lots of similar hotels. There is a big supermarket about 2 minutes drive with a petrol station. The staff were helpful and spoke good english.

1970s Motel - Very basic but functional

The hotel is poorly signposted and difficult to find. It is located on what appears to be a semi industrial estate with lots of other hotels close to a motorway junction. The room was clean but VERY small. The ventilation was poor; the window could only be opened a little - I imagine for security reasons - so the room's temperature quickly soured. The hotel is essentially a 70s motel in need of refurbishment but offers basic but functional accomodation for travellers. The restaurant offered a buffet and some of it was very unappetising and inedible - limp salads, dried out carrot and cucumber sticks. The only saving grace was the lovely waiter..........

Campanile's are basic and o.k. for a one night stay. Our breakfast morning was chaotic as the whole area was full of students and only 2 staff who were not able to cope through no fault of their own. If we had been told about this we would have timed our breakfast accordingly. However the food was good in the restaurant.

The hotel was in a convenient location near to the motorway and that is about all I can say for it.

The room was stuffy and hot, especially the bathroom, there was tea and coffee making though which was good !

The cafe/restaurant food was awful, the surroundings like a bad cafe and with dirty tables around.

The breakfast was not bad but still in a horrible cafe.

Over all this was our worst hotel en route, we will not wish to stay in a Campanile hotel ever again.

The hotel was clean and the service good. The Plate de Jour in the evening was good value, but the breakfast was somewhat lacking for the cost.

Too hot for comfort

When we arrived at our room on the second floor the entry card would not work. My husband returned to the desk. the second entry card did not work so yet another trek down to reception. We eventually entered our room to find that it was so uncomfortably hot that we could not bear to shut the door to our room. We were just at the top of the stairs so there was a constant stream of people passing. Dogs barked children cried so we decided to go out for a walk. After a long and tiring journey from the south this was not what we really wanted to do however we decided that anything was better than staying in that room.
The bed was extremely comfortable and was also a generous size. This however would not change my mind and I would never use a Campanile Hotel again or advise anyone I know to do so. This was an unpleasant end to our holiday.

Décision à la dernière minute de réserver cet hôtel car la route était trop longue. Super accueil, diner moyen mais serveur sympa.
Après ça se gâte. La porte intermédiaire ne ferme pas, je la boque avec une chaise. Le volet roulant est bloqué, heureusement il y a un rideau. Les WC sont faible et peu d'eau sort pour évacuer. Pour finir, la douche ou je n'ai jamais réussit à régler l'eau chaude.
Hotel vétuste et bien trop chers vu son état.

Accomodation is showing signs of old age. Door did not open, room equipment is older. Nevertheless it was a good stay.

Problème de menage

Salle de bain avec lavabo bouché déjà signalé dans une autre chambre quelques temps avant , vitre donnant sur la coursive excessivement sale même très sale !!!ménage très mal fait
1 seule serviette pour 2 donc le second se sèche avec une serviette moup !!!!

Pas de tigre à donner

Convenable Par contre, le ménage laisse à désirer et la douche couchée. Simplement les cheveux qui étaient dans la bouche, j’ai pu l’enlever moi-même mais je l’ai signalé.

Hôtel en panne d'eau chaude depuis plusieurs jours,
Aucune information préalable aux clients.
Information donnée à 20h le soir, on vous propose d'annuler la chambre si vous le souhaitez et que l'eau chaude sera rétablie a 8j ce qui est faux bien entendu.

oude kamers, veel geluid van bovenburen, rolluiken defekt, lopend water in toilet , weinig keuze in de menu's, geen bar, wel vriendelijk personeel, toilet in eetzaal niet proper
