Good hotel, but not during a heatwave!

The hotel was fine, service from staff was excellent, but our room was in the roof section of the third floor, and with the heatwave it was impossibly hot all night. Even with the skylights open and the two fans on. The room really needs air-conditioning.

A worrying nights stay

The hotel was clean and the check in and room were both good. Thé problem was we were told that we were the only guests in the 33 room hotel over 4 floors and the hotel would be locked at 11pm. Normally this wouldn’t have been a problem but we were informed there was no night duty staff. As we were on the second floor and being the only residents in such a large building was very disconcerting and I shudder to think of what would have happened if there was a fire or break in. The corridors switches were on a timer which is fine if there’s a switch outside your door but had there been an emergency it was pitch black and you would be hard pressed to find a switch. In case of fire obviously the lift shouldn’t be used but as was so dark I defy anyone being able to exit via the circular staircase. We decided against breakfast as we were told that someone was coming in especially just to cook for us. All in all it just wasn’t a very pleasant experience.

Less good - room was long, skinny and with a sofa bed taking up most of the floor space, 1st floor looking into unattractive courtyard so dark but quiet! It seems very popular with families so young children everywhere!

Parking for this hotel is in a public car park. At reception you can get a car park ticket to enter the car park with 15 hours free parking. You can park longer but when you leave at the car park exit barriers you will be asked to pay for your longer stay. There is a card machine to do this. These details are not clear in the hotel details or when you ask at reception

Hotel is nice, with pleasant breakfast, but the rooms have limited facilities, no kettle or coffee making, worst no air con , there is fan, little use with a 38*c temps.
The shower is tiny.

No thrills, but cheap and cozy

While not right in the action, it is a 15 minute walk to the City Center. The best thing about this hotel is that it has a nice courtyard to enjoy your breakfast or a glass of wine. After walking to the main square for dinner, we hung out in the yard with a bottle of wine. Rooms were clean enough and the bathroom was pretty spacious.

We did not have reservations and were glad to have found a family room available for all 4 adults. Very clean, comfortable beddings, warm room. Breakfast is standard.
Street parking in residential neighborhood is free. Restaurants that close late are walking distance. Breakfast area overlooks a lovely interior garden.
Wifi worked well.

The only real positive about the hotel was the excellent service provided by the receptionist who was polite, friendly and knowledgable about the local area, giving us advice on the best areas to eat etc.
Unfortunately the hotel itself left a lot to be desired, there was a “musty” smell in the entrance area & corridors, the steep stairs to rooms were poorly lit and one of the light switches wasnt working.
Our room was very small with no tea or coffee making facilities. When we asked we were charged €2 for a single sachet of coffee and a small jug of milk. The shower , although clean, was set at just above waist height which wasn’t very convenient for washing hair. The room was very warm and so had to sleep with the windows open which meant we got little sleep due to a rubbish truck arriving at 4.45 am, cars speeding down the narrow road and people shouting in the early hours of the morning. To top this a car alarm went off at regular intervals immediately below our window. We wouldn’t return to this hotel.

Traditional modernised hotel close to city centre

Hotel is a traditional hotel building that has been upgraded to a good standard. It is located reasonably close to the city centre and SNCF railway station. Free parking is available on the street outside the hotel but spaces may be difficult to find. Hotel staff were always helpful. Buffet breakfast was okay but with not a great deal of choice available although service was good. No air conditioning was available so it was necessary to sleep with room windows open. WiFi was free and good quality.

Stop over on the way to another destination.
Very comfortable room.
I had a few people moving around at 5am above me which disturbed my sleep as the walls are quite thin but that’s not to say it’s like that all the time. Some people are just disrespectful. Good location. I was on s motorbike and squeezed in on the street but I believe there is some parking.

Quand je viens sur Orléans, je réserve toujours à cet hôtel car les chambres sont spacieuses, hôtel tranquille. Le seul petit point négatif est qu'il n'y a pas de parking à l'hôtel et malgré le parking gratuit à parti de 18H, il est difficlie de trouver une place.

The hotel itself was cozy and modern with comfortable beds. We arrived with 4 people as family and we had a family room. Not much space but pretty ok to stay for one night.
Hotel is situated close to the city center in walking distance. There are plenty free parking spots at the roads.
Really disappointing the breakfast and how the staff cared about. We paid extra for the breakfast for the full family: At this morning there was a problem with the electricity and therefore no bread, baguette, croissants was left. Coffee was served as instant coffee. For sure I understand if there is a spontaneous problem with electricity. But when I pay for a breakfast I expect that the hotel is at least trying to get somehow the basics like a baguette and a croissant from a bakery. Talking to the staff they were very upset that I request bread and that I am not happy with the offering. They told
me that surrounding bakery’s are closed - looking to google maps confirmed this was not true. After a second ask to get some bread the staff told me that they will not organize it and they think of a reimbursement and they will contact me the day after. But this didn’t happen.
We expected a stop in Orleans that we could start our trip home with a nice breakfast. At the end we had to organize by our own afterwards bread to start the day.
This fact turns my rating to a more negative one although the hotel itself is good. But for a total price of around 200€ I expect more.

L'hôtel est très agréable et je tiens à souligner l'excellente accueil de la réceptionniste. Elle était très sympathique et m'a fourni un plan de la ville qui m'a été d'une grande aide. Ses explications étaient claires et précises, ce qui a rendu mes déplacements beaucoup plus faciles.

De plus, j'ai eu besoin de prendre mon petit déjeuner avant 7h et elle a été très arrangeante à ce sujet. Cela a vraiment fait la différence pour moi. Je recommande cet hôtel à tous ceux qui cherchent un endroit accueillant et bien situé.

Le séjour a été parfait.
La chambre était propre, au calme l’accueil était vraiment top. Je suis arrivé tard dans la nuit (1h du matin) j’ai reçu un appel pour m’expliquer comment accéder à ma chambre. La clé m’attendait à la réception.
Le petit déjeuner est bien.
Mention spéciale à la gentillesse du personnel qui est littéralement aux petits soins pour sa clientèle.
Je n’irai pas ailleurs en revenant dans cette ville.

Man kann das Gepäck ausladen, muss sich dann allerdings einen Parkplatz suchen. Bei eingeschränktem Halteverbot fühlt man sich nicht so gut, obwohl dort alle Plätze genutzt werden.
Wohltuend die ebenerdige Dusche. Um zum Dom zu kommen, haben wir im Parkhaus geparkt (11 € ) Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder auch zu Fuß kann man auch gut zurecht kommen.

Solo estuvimos una noche de paso. La habitación familiar está bien. No tiene aparcamiento si llegas fuera del horario de recepción, pero no hay problema para aparcar por la zona.
