Very nice hotel situated in a lovely area. Hotel felt safe and clean and there was chromecast in the room which is always appreciated as an English couple in a non-English speaking country. Only gripe would be that the parking felt limited as it is shared with the surrounding golf course and other amenities

The property and rooms are beautiful, the only criticisms is that the air conditioning was useless. Given the outside temperature was only 26c or so, the rooms were roasting hot and the tiny a/c unit totally ineffective. Would not return unless this was improved. Also the swimming pool was freezing despite being told that it was heated.

Absolutely beautiful property, we came quite late but felt comfortable in the room and woke up to discover the wonderful lake and took a morning walk to see the wildlife and nature in the compound. A very clean hotel very luxurious rooms and just a very relaxing and low key feel.

Lovely modern design, very fresh and very clean.
Stylish, cool and professional receptionist, loved him.

My 2 problems were the following:

Difficult to find the main entrance late at night, the
taxi driver was struggling for 20+min, but then German taxi drivers rfuse to use google maps.

Gym and spa is advertised as 24hr... but it was
closed because of „noise” concerns...
Highly annoying as you pay and travel more to
use the spa late.... just to find it closed.

The hotel was well located in the castle park with golf course and horses and stables. The sauna, gym and changing rooms were not worthy such a well developed facility. Came down in the restaurant at 21.25 to eat and found out that they did not accept orders from the normal menu after 21.15. The bar menu they had was perhaps the lightest I have ever seen in a 4-star hotel with a Michelin restaurant on the premises. Having Spagetti Bolognese as the only hot alternative was not worthy the establishment, even if it tasted well.

Rooms clean and had what you needed with exception of iron and iron board. Very clean and grey interior made the whole room feel cold. I large colourful carpet would have helped the interior athmosphere a great deal.

Most disappointing hotel in 3 weeks.....

Twin beds fine, but room very small.
Had no air conditioning - depended entirely on a room fan.
Had no elevator so heavy bags were a problem. Had no coffee/tea maker in the room.
Had no ice maker in hall, and no ice bucket in the room
Expected room in an old castle because of name \"Schloss . . . .\" Instead found
an expensive old fashioned resort hotel - had a sauna, but no pool,
outside or inside. Very disappointing. Reception person very helpful.

Quiet, clean, convenient location

Very enjoyable stay, with only two small negatives. There was no coffee maker in the room ( for such a nice place all the rooms should be equipped, not just what they called deluxe rooms). Also the split beds common in many German hotels are not comfortable for two adults that want to be in the same bed.

Great find.

Wow, huge property with spacious and mostly comfortable rooms. Friendly staff, lots of parking and wifi that works. Even though it was the middle of winter I felt the room was boiling hot with all the heaters off. I had to sleep with the door open which then again gets too cold. AC would really help. I cannot imagine staying here in summer without AC.

A nice step up from the local business hotels

Comfortable, modern rooms with all the amenities. A definite step up from the local business hotels. It's located some distance from the center of Ludwigsburg, which means you need a car to visit the downtown area, but unlike the downtown hotels it is quiet and parking is convenient. The hotel is on the park grounds, adjacent to the castle and near the equestrian center. The setting is beautiful and the castle is impressive. The hotel breakfast buffet is excellent, and there is a good restaurant next to the hotel. But, you need a car to get to town for shopping and other services.

Magnificent surprise

Arrived early AM after an early arrival at Frankfurt and drive down to Ludwigsburg. Was surprised to be able to check in immediately and also to partake of Brunch. Setting is park-like with lake, golf club, riding stables, chateau, walking paths at your door. Being off-season the rates were incredible. Unfortunately I was on a quick business trip to visit a factory nearby so had only one night this trip but look forward to coming back again.

if you happen to go to ludwigsburg or surroundings, this is as good as it gets. the hotel is near an old and well maintained castle (and domaine) in a park like surrounding. very quiet and beautiful surroundings - great for running. the hotel itself looks like a 1960s style (not too exciting) squarish building, however, is in very good shape. rooms are very quiet and comfortable and have everything one could be looking for - not too big and too luxerious though. the hotel is extremely well run and bar, breakfast lounge, and restaurant (in historic domaine - next door) are excellent. so is the food.

Lovely hotel and grounds

Autumn at Schlosshotel Monrepos was beautiful! The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The grounds were wonderfully decorated with pumpkins and ghourds. A walk around the lake was breathtaking with all the wonderful fall colors. It was a treat to stay at the hotel!

Personal an der Rezeption:
Ich habe für drei Personen gebucht, sodass jeder seine Rechnung selbst bezahlt. Bei Ankunft wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass die Rechnung schon bezahlt ist, was nachweislich nicht stimmte, da der Betrag noch auf meiner Kreditkarte geblockt war.
Darauf hin wurden die Abrechnungen einzeln erstellt. Obwohl wir schon einige Male in diesem Hotel waren, wurden die Rechnungen nicht mit der korrekten Firmenanschrift ausgestellt.
Auf meine schriftliche Anfrage nach einem Zimmer mit Blick zum See wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass sie nicht alle Mitteilungen und Anfragen lesen und berücksichtigen können.

Zimmer groß und sehr bequeme Betten, sowie hochwertige Bettwaren!
Wir hatten um ein Nichtraucher -Zimmer gebeten ( Reisen mit Kindern) und haben ein Zimmer direkt über der Terrasse bekommen, auf welcher nonstop ( bis 00:00 Uhr )geraucht wurde. So mussten wir das Geratter der A/C ertragen. Da hätten wir uns etwas mehr Mitdenken bei der Zuweisung gewünscht.

Wunderschön gelegenes Hoel am Rande der Stadt Ludwigsburg an einem kleinem See gelegen. Bis auf das unmotivierte Hotel-Bar Personal tolles Service Team, schöne Zimmer, inzwischen auch einen Outdoor-Pool und großartiges Restaurant (Gutschenke) direkt nebenan. Auch direkt um die Ecke ist das Haus des Weines BaWue. Die in der Buchung angegebense Flasche Wein haben wir nicht erhalten. Die Pflegeprodukte könnten noch exklusiver sein.

Ich hatte mich auf meinen Aufenthalt im Schlosshotel Monrepos gefreut, aber leider gab es einige Probleme, die meinen Komfort beeinträchtigt haben.
Zimmer: Das Zimmer war viel zu kalt, selbst nach Anpassung der Temperatur ließ es sich nicht richtig aufwärmen.
Bett: Sehr unbequem – in der Mitte eine spürbare Lücke, sodass ein erholsamer Schlaf kaum möglich war.
Kissen: Extrem ungemütlich. Ich bin mit Nackenschmerzen aufgewacht.
Dusche: Das Wasser aus der Dusche war durchgehend kochend heiß, ohne Möglichkeit, eine angenehme Temperatur einzustellen.

Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt leider enttäuschend, vor allem wegen der mangelnden Schlafqualität und dem unkomfortablen Badezimmer. Schade, denn die Lage und das Ambiente des Hotels haben durchaus Potenzial.

Das Zimmer war modern eingerichtet - das große Bad ist ein Traum. Der Ausblick von den beiden Mini-Terrassen unseres Zimmers (es passt genau ein Stuhl darauf) zum Parkplatz nicht so schön. Die Klimaanlage des Zimmers braucht dringend eine Wartung, denn leider kühlt sie nicht wirklich - das Steuerelement ist hinter einem Vorhang versteckt gewesen u. selbst das Personal wusste nicht, wo es sich befindet ;D

Beim Frühstück gab es keinen Platz für alle Gäste. Der halbe Frühstücksraum war reserviert für Gäste einer Veranstaltung am Abend zuvor - Diese Gesellschaft hätte man separat im Nebenraum platzieren können. Wir standen mit anderen Frühstücksgästen ratlos im Frühstücksraum u. an uns sind mindestens drei Mitarbeitende vorbeigelaufen, welche sich aber nicht für uns interessierten. Wir sprachen einen Mitarbeiter an u. er schickte uns in die Hotelbar. Die Atmosphäre dort war schrecklich - sie glich einer Bahnhofshalle, wo zig Leute hin und her liefen.

Das Problem sprachen wir auch direkt an, leider war die Dame an der Rezeption kaum daran interessiert. Es erfolgte keine Entschuldigung oder vielleicht sogar eine kleine Entschädigung etc. Schade!

Die Parkplatzsituation war katastrophal - “geworben” wird mit kostenlosen Parkplätzen vor der Tür. Dass diese aber niemals für alle Gäste ausreichen, wird nicht kommuniziert. Man könne ja “irgendwo auf dem Gelände parken” u. einen Spaziergang zum Hotel machen - Danke. Da erwarte ich von einem 4-Sterne-Hotel wirklich etwas anderes.

Es gibt Verbesserungspotenzial im Service

Die Dame am Empfang hätre ruhig etwas freundlicher sein können.
Es warvals fühlte sie sich bei jeder Frage angegriffen. Deren Formular war falsch ausgefüllt. Nach Hinweis reagierte sie nicht sehr professionnel.
Der Kellner an der Bar verstand fast kein Deutsch und brachte 2 mal unbestellte/inkorrekte Getränke. Schade. So ein Schloss sollte schon einen besseren Standard haben. Alles andere war gut. Die Suite war super, nur viel zu wenig Licht. Eine Suite mit Couch und Sitzecke sollte anständiges Licht haben. Lesen konnte man leider mit solch einem dämmerlicht nicht.
Schade.

Tolle Lage, „altbacken“ renovierte Zimmer.

Die Lage des Hotels ist wunderschön, man braucht aber ein Auto. Die Renovierung im Frühjahr 2024 halte ich nur für teilweise gelungen. Bad/Dusche zu dunkel, Die Wandverkleidung mit Holzpaneelen bietet dem Staub viele Ablageflächen und zwei Mini-Knopf-Kleiderhaken sind zu wenig. Architekt hätte die Gäste fragen sollen.

Was macht dieses Hotel so besonders?

Es sind die Mitarbeiter, die es immer wieder schaffen, den Gästen ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zu zaubern!

Von der Rezeption, über das Team von der Bar, bis hin zur Frühstücksmannschaft, alle sind super sympathisch und motiviert!

Daher ist es für mich als Stammgast erschreckend, weshalb es eine Flut von Mitarbeiterkündigungen gegeben hat.

Die Mitarbeiter machen das Monrepos zu einem Platz der Erholung und guten Laune, daher sollte die Geschäftsleitung, diese Flut an Abgängen, zu denken geben.

Das Monrepos ist immer einen Aufenthalt wert

Ein sehr angenehmes und unaufdringliches Hotel mit viel persönlichem Charme. Alle Angestellten , beginnend beim Empfang über den Service im Restaurant / Frühstück, aber auch der Roomservice lassen das Erlebnis Monrepos als was Besonderes erscheinen. Selbst das nette Lächeln am Empfang beim regelmäßigen Check in als Stammgast ist nicht aufgesetzt 😊.

Super mit Einschränkung beim Frühstück.

Alles in Allem tolles Hotel. Schöne große und saubere Zimmer. Tolle Umgebung mit genügend Möglichkeiten zum Spazieren, Laufen oder Golfen.
Einzige Kleinigkeit, als Veganer sollte man das Frühstück meiden. Hier gibt es kaum Möglichkeiten und das Personal war damit auch etwas überfordert. Dafür ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Wenn man das weiß, geht man besser wo anders Frühstücken ;-)

Ich war bereits mehrfach im Monrepos, allerdings war dieser Aufenthalt nicht mehr so gut, wie es der Standard in diesem Hotel sein sollte.

Die Parkplatzsituation wird immer schlimmer, das Personal wirkt hilflos und findet keine Lösung für das Problem.

Gut, dass es nun auch eine Klimaanlage in den Zimmern gibt.

Die Badetür in den Businesszimmern sind total unpraktisch, hier wären z.B. Schiebetüren mit Milchglas deutlich besser gewesen.

Modernes Hotel mitten im Schlosspark, super schön und ruhig gelegen. Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Eingang. Wunderbares Frühstückbuffet. Tolle Kaffeemaschine auf dem Zimmer. Sehr freundliches Personal.
