The room is very small, with very basic things in it. No minibar, no pot to boil water for coffee.
The air conditioner didn't work all over the hotel although we specifically asked about it before the reservation.
We stayed only two nights so it was bareable, but it's not recommended for longer stays.

Room was clean but looked a bit tired. Chips in furniture and floor needs refreshing. Brilliant shower and hairdryer and love the magnifying mirror. Our room did not have any tissues in the box and the toilet paper is extremely rough.
We requested a quiet room and thankfully it was even though it was very near the lift.

Nice Stay at NH Ludwigsburg

The hotel was very clean and comfortable.Service was very friendly as well! We booked a room with the option of \"double bed or two single beds\" but were not asked which bed we would like. As a couple we were disappointed to go up to our room and see two single beds. However the night stand is positioned so that it is easy to push the two beds together and move the nightstand to the other side of the bed. At night we heard the nightstands moving above us so we assume other couples were doing the same thing. This was a bit loud at times but did not keep me awake for long. It was not a nuisance enough to complain, but be sure to ask for a double bed if you wish to have one!

We liked the hotel with the exception of being told upon arrival that breakfast was separate when it was supposed to be included with our stay. The lady at the front desk had to do some checking and corrected this for us but it is annoying that one has to stand up for what was promised. If I had not been insistent, the hotel would have charged us and it was an expensive breakfast compared to other hotel breakfast charges.

breakfast was good, many varieties, but no chicken, beef or turkey options, all pork. :(
wifi was available, but speed was not good. even though its the enhanced wifi i chose, speed is adequate for email and chat only.
room was quite cold first day, till i adjusted the temperature. then it was fine.

Lovely hotel that is close to the train station

The hotel is just a minute away from the train station, and it is an easy walk to downtown. Ludwigsburg is a charming small city with everything Stuttgart has but on a smaller scale.

Hotel room is very small. Staff very friendly. The biggest issue is that the lower floors are so close to main roads that the traffic can be very noisy even with two layers of windows. Request higher floors to avoid having to listen to the traffic all night.

Room with repairs in progress

I spent 2 nights in this hotel. My room had a damaged wall that they seemed to be in the process of repairing. The desk clerk was clearly aware the room was being repaired, I mentioned at the desk that the wall was not in great shape. In my opinion at the very least this room should have been given at a reduced rate. As it was I paid full price. I am assuming the hotel was very full, otherwise it does not make sense to rent this room until repairs are completed. I would think twice before staying in another NH hotel.

Clean hotel in a good location

A relatively new hotel in a good Ludwigsburg downtown location 100 yards from the main train station. It looks bland on the outside, but once inside it's the epitome of European modern, clean, and simple.

The in-room Wi-fi is fast and free, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom modern. Nice splash of green color on one of the walls. If I were a regular visitor of Ludwigsburg, I'd book here in a heartbeat.

The breakfast buffet is expensive, but above average. Hot scrambled eggs, sausage, and cold food (meat, cheese, Nutella, yoghurt, fruit, etc).

Good place to stay but don't eat breakfast there

A good quality hotel with comfortable rooms (standard European style with two twin beds together, comfortable mattress, single duvet). Germany only really gets over 90 degrees for a few weeks out of the year and this is when I stayed at NH Ludwigsburg, so the room was fairly hot and without significant air conditioning--the fan whirred but cold output was minimal (not unusual for a model made to cool rooms that are usually in the 70s/80s). Otherwise great room. If driving, parking there is fairly reasonable (about 9 Euro a night) especially considering the added security and space of a privately owned garage. If traveling by train it is located across from the station. However, if you are offered breakfast as an added feature, politely decline. You are charged 17 Euro per day, per person. Unfortunately, the offerings are sub-par, to say the least--I would expect something of this quality to come for 'free' while staying there. There are much better, much cheaper offerings just a short walk away. Otherwise, good room, friendly staff and convenient location.

Convenient location

This hotel was just across the street from the train station, and was in fair walking distance from the palace.

The room was clean and contemporary. Beds were rather firm, but adequate. A/C barely blew out any air and the room was somewhat uncomfortably warm to be in during the day.

Breakfast was inexpensive compared to other hotels in Germany and had a better selection than most. The self serve espresso machine was worth it alone. I highly recommend including breakfast as there's not a great variety of food options in the surrounding area. (Pizza, bread, coffee, greasy doner kebabs)

This hotel has a good balance of quality and price. If you're trying to stay close to the train station I highly recommend this hotel.

I booked the room through expedia and paid a special discounted rate. I even booked a single room to save a little extra money, so I expected my room to have minimum comforts. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that my room had a king bed! My room was so comfortable, I loved the bathroom, the design was very modern - I have no complaints. I didn't eat the hotel breakfast - there is a diner next door and multiple bakeries in the train station. There is no need to pay 14 euro for breakfast in Ludwigsburg!

Forvirrende check-in process, vi checkede ind online to dage før ankomst men skulle tjekke ind igen ved ankomst og de havde byttet rundt på vores navne. INGEN rengøring - vi skulle bede om det senest dagen før men trods det fik vi ikke nye håndklæder. Badeværelset er slidt, bruseren lækker ud på gulvet så alt er vådt. Bordet var slå slidt at overfladen var faldt af.
Eneste gode er lokationen.

Sehr gute Schalldämmung im Zimmer, man hat von der Hauptstrasse vor dem Hotel nichts gehört. Bett sehr gequem, das Kissen war mir zu hart, aber das ist eindeutig Geschmacksache. Bad sehr modern, alles was man braucht. Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt. Kein Frühstück gebucht, weil praktisch gegenüber ein super gutes Bäckercafé ist. Parkplatz direkt nebenan im Parkhaus verfügbar.

Hyvä hinta-laatu suhde yöpymisellä

Ylimmässä eli yhdeksässä kerroksessa. Aikainen sisäänkirjautuminen onnistui ilmaiseksi vaikka piti vaihtaa eri huoneeseen samassa kerroksessa. Syy ilmeni miksi se huone oli jo vapaa kun paikalla oli talonmies korjaamassa kylpyhuonetta. Selitti siinä rikkinäisellä englannilla että vartti menee että saa homman valmiiksi ja onnistui siinä. Katsoin vessaan ja ei ollut jälkeä että mitä se oli paukutellut eli siisti oli.

Muu huone oli myös siisti. Lattiassa oli naarmuja oven lähellä mutta ei haitannut. Suihkukaapin tiiviste vuoti hieman vettä vessanpytyn viereen. Ilmoitin asiasta lopuksi ja lupasivat korjata sen.

Tiedoksi jos on viettämässä iltaa ja haluaa nukkua myöhään: laittakaa lappu ovelle ettei siivoja tule aamu kahdeksan jälkeen ovesta sisään. Mutta saatat silti herätä aikaisin kun siivooja siirtelee naapurihuoneen sänkyjä raahaten ja se kuuluu seinien läpi.

Aamiainen oli lievä pettymys verrattuna Suomen vastaaviin. Lämmintä ruokaa 4 eri lajia tarjolla mikä oli vähän. Hyvä lajitelma eri leipiä ja pretzelit oli hyviä. Tarjoilija myös aktiivisesti vei likaiset lautaset pois. Aamupala lisäsi hintaa yölle 20-25 euroa per kerta niin jos ei ole tarvetta syödä buffettipöydästä niin hotellin lähellä on useampi kahvila josta saa puolet halvemmalla kahvin, voileivän ja leivonnaisen.

Mutta sänky oli hyvä. Kova, mutta ei liian. Ilmastointi toimi mikä oli erinomaista kun oli erittäin hiostava ilma ulkona. Yövyn todennäköisesti täällä uudestaan, mutta ilman aamiaislisää.

Dafür das es ein 3 Sterne Hotel ist, bin ich etwas enttäuscht was die Sauberkeit angeht Die Stehdusche beispielsweise hat in der Wanne braune Flecken und die gumi Dichtungen von der Tür zeigen schon schwarze Schimmel Flecken auf! An den Wänden im Bad sieht man noch Schmierflecken vom Halbherzigen sauber machen. Das Bett war glücklicher Weise sauber . An den Wänden, Tisch und Türen waren ein paar Macken (Abdeckung von Tür Scharniere Haben gefehlt)… . Alles in einem für zwei Nächte hart auf hart kann man machen. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt nicht zu empfehlen.

Sehr angenehmes Hotel direkt hinter dem Bahnhof von Ludwigsburg, vielleicht zwei Minuten Laufzeit. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, das ist mir wichtig zu sagen.
Um die Ecke des Hotels ist ein großer Aldi, im Bahnhof selbst sind ein Supermarkt und ein Drogeriemarkt (wer da etwas benötigt).
Geht man durch den Bahnhof zum Vorplatz, beginnt dort sogleich die Innenstadt mit vielen Geschäften, man braucht in den barocken Stadtkern nur höchstens fünf Minuten. Gleich neben dem Hotel ist ein American Diner, wer am Abend nicht weit laufen möchte.
Die Zimmer sind sehr gepflegt, ich kann dieses NH-Hotel nur empfehlen.

Rezeption ist 24 Stunden erreichbar. Die Bar war schon früh geschlossen, weil der Barkeeper Ferien hatte. Der Mann an der Rezeption hat sich jedoch darum gekümmert und hat uns wenigstens noch etwas ausgeschenkt.

Der Online Check war für mich, erste Person, ok, die Begleitperson lies sich aus technischen Gründen leider nicht einchecken. Nun ja. Wenn ich schon digital aufgefordert werde per Mail einzuchecken….Die Einrichtung im Zimmer war abgewohnt und alt. An vielen Ecken am Tisch war etwas abgesplittert Das Personal beim Check in war bemüht, mehr aber auch nicht. Zur Sauberkeit: im Badezimmer hat sich auf dem Spiegel und den Türscharnieren der Staub gesammelt. Die Klimaanlage, bei 27 - 30 Grad Celsius Außentemperatur ließ sich nicht einschalten. Auf meine Nachfrage bei der Rezeption, wurde ich erst dann nach Nachfrage informiert, dass die Anlage im ganzen Haus nicht läuft und das es technische Schwierigkeiten gäbe, die erst in ein paar Tagen gelöst werden könnten. Ich hätte mich gefreut, wenn mir das sofort beim Check in gesagt worden wäre. Auf meine Frage, wie der Mängel kompensiert wird, herrschte nur Schweigen……
Ich bin gerne Kunde bei NH, z.B in HH Horn, aber nach diesem Erlebnis und dieser Nacht bei heißer Raumtemperatur, überlege ich meine nächste Buchung genau.
