Once we turned the air-conditioning on we couldn't turn it off, adjust the fan setting we had to keep turning the temp up. The tv remote was dodgy, when you changed the chanel or volume it would turn the tv off. One of the bathroom doors would close properly and the toilet needed repeated flushes every time. The staff were really nice though.

Room service needs further improvements, previous guest left over plastic waterbottle was under the bedside desk not cleaned.

This was far from what I expected of this hotel. I booked due to its location and by the photos it looked a nice hotel for a reasonable price. The price reflected the hotel massively.
The corridor to our room absolutely stunk of cigarette smoke.
The hallway lights were off when we arrived leaving us to walk into a dark corridor to find our room.
The actual room smelt of damp.
The furniture in the room is very dated with many of the wooden bits chipped/broken. The mirror on the wall was not straight. Little things that show no attention to detail in this hotel.
The toilet was broken constantly running water.
Would not recommend in the slightest.

The air conditioner in our room had a mind of it's own, somewhat noisy at times and then a full on fan. We didn't do breakfast there but did have a drink at the bar which had a lovely atmosphere. The location was great, surrounded by lots of restaurants, easy to walk to everywhere.

The room was dusty, the blankets on the bed were stained, thankfully on the outside, not the inside. The spa did not work on the first night, the water pressure is non existent. I asked for the room to cleaned and the spa fixed, the person at the desk argues with me as it was a Sunday, I asked for the manager to contact me, that never happened. Thankfully the room was cleaned and spa fixed, but the doona was another doona, but still stained. I would not stay here again.

The rooms have certainly seen better decades — threadbare carpets, dated décor, and showers that prefer to surprise you with either boiling or freezing temperatures (and very little in between). Room servicing is every three days, so you’ll have plenty of time to bond with your towels.

Morning wake-up calls come courtesy of drills and machinery right outside your door, as the lift undergoes what appears to be a very long and public recovery process. Step outside and you’ll find an unfortunate (and persistent) patch of dog mess by the front entrance — a recurring guest, despite several reports to staff.

There’s an overall air of neglect, with a hint of sewerage in the background for atmosphere. Our adjoining room was locked (no privacy lock option once opened), but did offer the charming discovery of someone else’s leftover lollies — a sweet reminder that we weren’t the first to wonder what goes on behind that door.

In all, it’s a stay with plenty of stories to tell — just not the kind we’d come back for

Position was good, check in staff member was nice. The hotel room was very tired with worn through carpet. The bathroom was ok but needs replacement of mouldy grout. The air conditioning unit cut in and out all night and was very noisy. The worst part was that the hotel was undergoing some renovations ( lift upgrade) and drilling started on a Saturday morning at 8am. It was very loud. No warning of this was given during the booking process. I won’t be back - there are plenty of other places to stay.

From checking in to checking out I was happy and surprisingly impressed by this hotel. Lovely quiet, clean and well presented room, excellent bathroom and plentiful hot water with great pressure. Breakfast was well prepared and presented in a location that allowed me to appreciate the vibrancy of St Kilda. Parking easily accessible. Staff that I engaged with were all friendly, helpful and genuine.

We always stay here its convenience has parking and lovely staff team.
The warm lighting only in the room thus visit was annoying as i like a bright light tovread by and usually its optional switches.
The shower recess needs regrouting or a good bleach clean the rest of the vathroom excellent.

I booked it for the location and the fact it apparently had a bar on site and restaurant- well the bar only opens friday night - useless when trying to entertain clients . Restaurant was only open for breakfast- the staff and food at breakfast were fantastic

Stayed here with a friend to go to go to a show at the nearby theatre. We booked a twin & was upgraded to a family room with 2 queen beds, which was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean. Water temperature & pressure could’ve been better but otherwise it met our expectations & served the purpose. Car parking was available & used, with access from the rear of the hotel. Close to restaurants & the theatre, 3 stops on the tram. Only one elevator was working when we were there (& it wasn’t a large one)so there was a some delay in waiting for it to arrive. Hotel staff were friendly & welcoming.

Quite disappointing. I have stayed here twice before and it has deteriorated significantly over three years. The cafe advertised open until 11am but was mostly closed at 10 am. The reverse cycle air con was noisy and didn’t heat well in a freezing Melbourne winter. Extra blankets were dirty.

It wasnt worth staying here because after paying $35 for parking when added to the modertae room rate i could ha e stayed in a better area. Staff were curt apart from the nigh shift manager was very accomodating. The cafe downstair closed at 11 am instead of 12 because they felt like it so i had to go looking to get a later breakfast outside. Most of the staff were foreign workers and didnt really care too much or know how to interact with guests. More a hostel vibe. First and last time for me personally. Also homesless people outside on the sidewalk

I had booked a stay at your hotel in advance for a week without understanding before I approached the property that I had formerly been banned from the listing of the hotel chain. Nobody informed me about this in advance of me making the booking itself, and furthermore, I was told that I had to apply for a refund through the website where I made the booking instead of at the desk itself, delaying my return of the money owed me. Property is dated. There were cracked and broken tiles in the bathroom and shower recess. The room had an old cigarette smell and the heater didn’t work. For the price paid $260 it was pretty awful. I chose to leave and not stay. The manager offered me a different room but I just wanted out.

Not best, not worst.

We paid over 340 for this room which definitely was not worth that amount compared to others in the area or city. It’s not the worst place I have been but for that price it was pretty poor!

The room carpet was fraying, tiles missing from the floor in bathroom and around spa bath. Dodgy paint job to patch a hole in the roof, cracked basin and bed dipped in middle…..just not greatly maintained room.

On the way out we noticed the carpet in the corner being eaten by some kind of bug.
