Do not depend on hotel.com refund or modification

The hotel is over priced for what it provides. The rooms and comfortable but not spacious. Beautiful view of the puerto cervo harbor and a nice shuttle to white beach. The beach club is super nice but 70euroa for a chair. There is no concierge but the receptionist try. It’s hard to get cabs later at night so suggest a renting a car. There is limited places to get food. Only light snacks like toast or olives for the bar area. No spa. The breakfast buffet included is nice and fresh. They have additional ad joc items for purchase I would have expected to be included. They also have a reimbursement policy that doesn’t follow the hotel.com description. I told hotel.com and the hotel intime to make changes to the reservations and they refused.

The hotel staff was not very helpful. It costs 10 euro a person to get to the beach and an additional charge for beach chairs, which they didn’t tell us about.
The room and hotel decor are very outdated
There isn’t a proper entrance with valet.
The restaurant menu was very limited especially for Vegetarian options.
The bathroom was so old and the product provided was extremely small bottles.
Bedding and pillows were hard and flat

My experience was very ‘meh. The service at the front desk was nice, this place is good as just a place to sleep and keep your belongings but that’s it :/ the food at the restaurant was the worst food I’ve ever had and it is very clear the breakfast buffet was the same food that was sitting out the day prior. Also, due to high winds the electricity kept going out last night and it kept waking me up :(

The best thing I can say is that the property was very clean, and the staff was nice. There are absolutely zero amenities, however. The pool is small and was built to be an infinity pool but is not filled to the top, so it looks a bit strange. The breakfast is ok, but limited in selection and the pastries did not always seem fresh. The location is also quite remote, and the price is quite high to lack any sort of other outdoor options (beach is a drive away), but given that it is Sardinia, it's still a pleasant place to be!

Gorgeous Views

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Petra Bianca. The views were beautiful from the pool area and restaurant. The food and breakfast buffet were very good. A good selection of fruits, bread, pastries, and hot breakfast options. The service in the restaurant was attentive.
There is an option to reserve lounge chairs at a beautiful beach nearby. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a pleasant stay at HPB. We were given a room with a balcony that included a view towards the swimming pool and the sea. The room was spacious, clean and practical. The hotel has a nice swimming area, with a generously side swimming pool. Breakfast was delightful, there was a variety of food to choose from, and the view from the dining area was breathtaking. The only criticism I have is regarding one of the cleaners, I heard one of them making comments about hair on the floor. Personally it made me laugh and I saw the funny side of it, however I recommend to be more careful as not everyone will share my sense of humour. A part from that, all the staff was nice and friendly. We will definitely be returning to this hotel.

Simply stylish hotel with the most amazing views. The staff were welcoming and friendly especially those serving at breakfast. Wonderful breakfast overlooking the beautiful bay. cooked food also available which made a nice change to the usual continental buffets. we had a superior room adjacent to the pool area . The room was well furnished with an extra large bed giving perfect comfort and a beautiful bathroom.
You really need to be travelling by car in order to benefit all that the area has to offer. Not many restaurants within walking distance but by car no problems finding a range of eateries. The hotel does have its own restaurant which we did not try. Apparently the hotel also has its own private beach area which we were not told about so please ask.

Beautiful hotel with fabulous views.

Petra Bianca is in a beaitiful setting up on the hill overlooking the sea. Perfect for a quiet retreat away from it all. It is a peaceful hotel ideal for couples and is very smart and well maintained with grounds and services of a high standard. You really need a car to explore the area and to go out to restaurants etc nearby. Olbia and San Panteleo in particular offering authentic Sardinia. The hotel offers a shuttle to the beach with complimentary loungers and sun beds nearby which is a really added bonus. Perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

You definitely need a car to stay here. Hotel was great. Really close to two world class beaches. They also have private sunbeds and a shuttle service to one of these beaches which was a nice touch. Pool is very nice with great views. Breakfast was average but the restaurant has great views. Bar Baretto is a a great nearby restaurant for spaghetti and pizza. I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel, although remote. Expensive taxis everywhere. Free taxi service, (People Carrier) to local beach. Hotel beach facilities very poor, especially in comparison to alternative facilities along beach front.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel food very average and restaurant staff not really up to the challenge.

I would return but with a lot more cash to cover taxis. Minimum fare, €30.

Amazing friendly service from all staff, from room attendants, to reception and dining room. All staff were very accommodating and friendly towards our 10 month old daughter.

Top quality dinner available every evening. Convenient shuttle to local beach with towels, and complimentary beach chairs and umbrella. Amazing vista from the bar. We’ve been twice and would happily go again.

Does have a restaurant but we did not try it. Need a car to get to other restaurants etc. They do have a shuttle for the beach. Otherwise a long walk up a steep hill. Beautiful hotel and lovely staff! Nice pool area also. Good selection at breakfast.... typlical european breakfast

Classy hotel close to fabulous beaches

Very positive overall and would certainly return. It is a relaxing hotel with a calm and peaceful atmosphere throughout. Pool and restaurant staff were friendly and attentive, the latter being smartly dressed at all meals.

Our experience was marred only by the hotel public spaces being taken over by a wedding. Although we were given a short letter a few days earlier this failed to mention that live music would be played outside around the pool area until 2am the following morning. This was only 30 metres from our room and the noise was so loud that we had to ask to be moved to a quieter room so we could sleep. We felt completely ignored and didn't even get offered a drink for the inconvenience.

Uncooperative staff at reception

The hotel is in a nice area and the premises are well maintained. The problem is the staff at reception. We were returning guests and booked a sea-view room as we had previously for 5 nights. The room we received had however a pool view and you could see from far away a beach with 5 meters water in front. That was the whole sea-view. Reception insisted that this was for them a ‘sea-view’ and that we could not change as the hotel was fully booked. Strangely enough sea-view rooms were still available on their own website during our total stay. Only after going back to reception several times were we offered a junior suite for a substantial surcharge which we reluctantly accepted. The junior suite was very basic with maximum 4sqm more space and one additional small armchair. The bathroom and wardrobe was however much smaller than in a standard room. Not worth the money at all but the view was amazing. Expedia offers only garden – and sea view rooms. On the hotel website they also offer cheaper pool view rooms. It was very clear that they tried to cheat us into these. As we had an evening flight on departure we asked for a late check-out till 14h which was not possible as they were once again fully booked. As we can understand that they needed our room it was unbelievable that we were instead offered to change in the public toilets and take a shower in front of all other guest at the pool. I am sure rooms were available to quickly change and shower as not all guests arrive early.

Amazing hotel with unbelievable views

The hotel is fantastic with dreamy views from the public areas. The hotel runs a regular shuttle service to and from the beach which ran like clockwork. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Would love to go there again.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff.

This was a very well maintained and lovely hotel with breathtaking views. The room was clean and good except the bed was a bit lumpy. The staff were excellent especially Roberta and reception staff and Christian with his amazing cocktails. The only problem is you are far from shops and restaurant and hiring a car is a must. I would suggest hiring from the airport. It would be good if hotel provided a shuttle to the shops and for excursions. Apart from this we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing break.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We stayed for 7 nights and really enjoyed our time at hotel Petra Bianca. The staff were always helpful and friendly, the room was clean and tidy (with air con that neither froze you or failed to cool), and the swimming pool was large enough for a proper swim without being Olympian sized.
You need to take the hotel bus to the beach, but you get sun loungers and parasol as part of the package.
If you like seeing how the rich live, the harbour of Porta Cervo is worth a visit. However if you want to see a more down to earth part of Sardinia then Baia Sardinia is certainly worth a visit.

Lovely Spot But Far From Other Services

The lobby is large and serene, so we could recommend this as a spot for beach lovers who appreciate a gracious and expensive vacation--a place to which the rich who don't particularly enjoy good food might haul in their steamer trunks and vacation for the summer. Our room was spacious enough, though a tight closet made it useful only for one person. The bathroom, while lovely, had only a small shower stall, but the view and patio were great! Balconies are side-by side, and we were lucky to have pretty quiet neighbors for our stay, though a boisterous group checked in the morning of our departure. Breakfast was generous and well-cooked, and the view wonderful! We understood that restaurant options would be limited, so ate a solid lunch in La Maddalena en route and enjoyed a lovely spritz and snacks in the bar for dinner one night. We gave the hotel restaurant a try the next night and found it marginal and expensive, with no wine by the glass available. Day trip options are limited; we visited a very quiet Porto Cervo but were deterred from a day trip to Corsica by the distance on a twisting road.

Superb boutique style hotel with lovely views

Lovely restaurant - open air with spectacular views over the bay at Cala Di Volpe, food is very nice if a little simple, but top quality service in all areas. Relaxing but quiet... luxurious but expensive.

Our Visit:

We visited slightly before the season began the weather was nice but not overly hot. The guests of the hotel were predominantly pleasant German middle aged couples, who were willing to engage in conversation if an effort was made.

The Good:

The hotel is in an idyllic location, with beautiful views (particularly in the hotel restaurant ) of the surrounding area looking down over the coastline of Sardinia. The hotel itself looks phenomenal, it's exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Equally the staff couldn't do more to try and help you; they're very well presented wearing very formal attire at all times which really serves to make it feel like a very upmarket hotel. The pool area is very well-kept and is a wonderful place to relax with staff constantly on hand and free towels to put down on the sunbeds.

The not so Good:

Though we knew Sardinia would be on the pricey side eating and particularly drinking at the hotel was not cheap. For example, you should not expect to receive any change back from a 10 euro note for two soft drinks. There are supermarkets nearby should you wish to get food and drinks for the room to overcome this.

There are some restaurants in the local area but you really need to have hired a car to reach them, as the island itself is not walking friendly.

Our largest issue was with the cost of taxis it was astronomically expensive. Ensure you discuss with hotel staff to guarantee you a firm price prior to going anywhere.

Beautiful location;

Lovely moden stylish hotel with fabulous views and location. Most of the staff lovely as well; a few acted as if they were doing you a favor which for those prices is inexcusable. Also access to the beach difficult and beach itself ok but small and very crowded in season so that we ended up at the pool more than the beach (and the view from the pool is spectacular) so that I would probably choose it again over most of what else is available.

After spending a week traveling around Sardinia and staying at 2 other hotels, this hotel was the most disappointing. It has a beautiful view and pool, howver, when we were there, a wedding had been booked for that night (they never warned of this until we arrived). Therefore, the pool was closed early. We were dissapointed in the size of our room (small) and its view of the parking lot. We asked the desk if we could get a room with a view but the hotel was full and we had only booked a standard room. With the wedding, it was probbaly a good thing that we did not have a room with a view because we would have been kept up all night by the wedding. Everwhere we travelled in Sardinia the staff were friendly and willing to share advice and tips--except at Hotel Petra Bianca. We asked one of the staff members if he could give us the name of any good local hotels. He said that he could not because the last time he did, the hotel desk staff found out and he got in trouble. There was wi-fi but it was not free. There was an African man in his 20s or 30s who was the bell hop. The reception staff told us that she will have the \"boy\" get our luggage. The beach was beautiful and they did have a free shuttle that left every half hour except around lunch time when there was a large break. The driver was punctual and this meant that he left with or without you at the scheduled time.

A classy hotel

The hotel is very classy wthout being pretentious. The staff are corteous and nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and varied but as you may expect wine is expensive but of good quality. The views from the hotel are brilliant and the pool and grounds are made for total relaxation. There is a regular free shuttle bus service to the private beach of Liscia Ruja. Everything about the hotel says class! The location is excellent for trips to Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo and other Costa Smeralda resorts and beaches.

Boa localização. Quarto espaçoso, com uma varanda charmosa. Bom estacionamento. Pontos negativos: Cafè da manhã muito ruim, comida de péssima qualidade, poucas opções e sempre a mesma coisa todo dia. O café era frio e fraco. A cama é dura. Não há cafeteira no quarto e o frigobar não funcionava. O banheiro é grande mas o box é minúsculo. Não há suporte para sabonete, é preciso sair molhado para pegar ou deixar no chão. A equipe não é nada simpática. Precisa melhorar muito pra ser considerado 4 estrelas.

Das etwas in die Jahre gekommene Hotel besticht durch seine Lage und den atemberaubenden Blick über die Calà de Volpe. Ausstattung und Zimmer sind sehr sauber, könnten aber eine Auffrischung vertragen. Es fehlt an Details, Auflagen für Liegen, Sonnenschirme mit Löchern. Frühstück ok aber lieblos (kalte Eier, ab 10uhr wird kein Aufschnitt mehr nachgelegt, Americano ist löslich aufgebrühter Kaffee) Personal sehr nett und bemüht, aber langsam. Pool (im Gegensatz zum Rest der Anlage) wirkt etwas ungepflegt.

Nous etions à l'hôtel pour 3 nuits \" moisissures sur le balcon de notre chambre , nous avons pu changer de chambre 👍
Trop de personnel débutant en restauration, boire un verre au bar et nous couper la musique 👎 alors qu'il n'était pas 20h!
Apparemment, une table était réservée au PdJ , toujours libre en partant ! Petit déjeuner moyen ! Même pas une bouilloire dans la chambre ! Aucun geste de bienvenue, pas de chaussons ,strict minimum dans les chambres !
Personnel dans l'ensemble très froid à part la dame de l'accueil du 4 septembre au matin 👍

Je suis arrivée à l’hôtel à 1h du matin, j’ai eu un très mauvais accueil de la part de la Receptioniste du soir Katerina elle était odieuse et a eu des remarques raciste à mon égard 😔
Ensuite la chambre qu’elle m’a attribuée n’avait pas de serviette ni articles de toilettes et la Clim
Ne marchait pas il faisait 42 de température j’ai été me plainte auprès de son collègue qui m’a dit ne pouvoir rien faire car les femmes de ménage ne sont pas là la
Nuit,il a ramené une petite serviette pas de gel douche ect j’ai tel a expédia pour annuler malheureusement ils n’ont pas pu me trouver un autre hôtel à 1h du mat ils m’ont promis remboursement de la moitié de la nuit mais le lendemain l’hôtel a refusé de rembourser.
prix de la chambre 400 la nuit.
Sinon les parties communes de l’hôtel sont magnifique très belle vue.
Petit dej produits industriels pour un jus d’orange pressé il faut payer 10 euros en plus pareil pour si tu veux un oeuf au plat

Hotel à taille humaine dans l’esprit sarde avec une chambre confortable et une jolie petite piscine (moyennement propre malgré le pisciniste qui verse un bidon de Chlore devant les clients et qui leur dit d’attendre 10 minutes avant de retourner dans la piscine :effrayant!) Sinon l’hôtel a une jolie vue sur la Cala di Volpe et le petit déjeuner est correcte sans être très haut gamme. En France il serait plutôt d’un niveau 3 étoiles plutôt que 4. Le rapport qualité prix reste élevé comme beaucoup en Sardaigne

Struttura favolosa, disappunto per il la gestione della reception da parte del responsabile: chiediamo di rimanere una notte aggiuntiva e ci viene fatto un preventivo, il giorno successivo decidiamo di confermare e il responsabile dell'hotel ci dice che il prezzo era sbagliato e che è aumentato. Decidiamo allora di prenotare con Expedia avendo un prezzo migliore e un bonus per bevande di 50 euro ma appena andiamo in camera per prenotare hanno fatto togliere la disponibilita dal sito. Hotel molto bello ma delusione per la gestione del cliente e avendo parlato direttamente con il responsabile dell'hotel l'approccio nei ns. confronti e' stato indisponente, antipatico e non adatto al ruolo che ha. Peccato, abbiamo soggiornato in un altro hotel

Fantastische Lage, großartige Aussicht - sowohl vom Pool als auch beim Frühstück, schickes Lobby Design, inkludierte Liegen und Schirm am sehr schönen weißen Sandstrand.

€7.- für Spiegeleier (!) bei Buchung von Übernachtung mit Frühstück!

Also, Rezeption war super freundlich, immer und jeder MA.
Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung, sauber und wenn man das Trinkgeld für die Reinigungskräfte nicht unterschlägt, gibt es immer neue Shampoo Fläschchen und andere Gimmicks...
Die Lage des Hotels ist super, ein wunderschöner Ausblick von Pool und Frühstück/Terrasse im 1. OG
Ein Mietwagen ist Pflicht! Selbst nur zum Strand runter und zurück würde ich mir im Juni/Juli/August nicht geben. Ausserdem kann man auch abends dann mal ins nächste Örtchen fahren und natürlich auch Ausflüge nach La Maddalena oder Alghero unternehmen...
Das Einzige, was uns nicht gefiel, war das Frühstücksbuffet! Wir empfehlen daher das Hotel NUR mit Übernachung und OHNE Verpflegung zu buchen! (Es gab, wie von anderen Gästen bereits erwähnt, Rührei aus Eipulver, kaum Auswahl an Belag und für Spiegeleier werden €7.- verlangt!!!) Es gab auch nichts typisch italienisches (Antipasti oder leckeren Käse/Schinken o.ä.)

Super Lage an der Costa Smeralda, großartiger Blick vom Hügel auf die Bucht „Cala di Volpe“ - auch aus einem Zimmer „mit Gartenblick“! Wunderschöne Strände und kleine Buchten zwischen der Spiaggia di Cala di Volpe und der Spiaggia di Liscia Ruja. Sauber, sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Ontbijt wat povertjes voor een 4+ sterren hotel.
Vroegen olijfolie bij avondeten. Kregen een scheutje en flesje werd terug meegenomen.
