“Flooded” room not available - waiting for refund

They told me upon arrival that they cannot give me the room as it was flooded and they brought me to a 3 star hotel with a very small double room with no windows and so I told them I can’t stay in that room as it was uncomfortable, dirty surroundings, lots of men smoking in the lobby, and too small for me and my friend. We wanted twin beds which was the one we booked but apparently was flooded. They were probably fully booked and they told me they were going to refund my booking. Still waiting on the $35.95 I paid to be refunded back to my account.

This property has value for The money you pay. There are so many restaurants around there, it’s very closed to Basmane Train Station and metro. The staff are polite and helpful. Their breakfast is delicious. It was a comfortable stay for one night.

The staff were charming and the room was big and comfortable. The air conditioning was so quiet and efficient and there were lots of really good TV channels. The breakfast was just ordinary though, no real coffee, and no fresh fruit juice.

Do Not book if you have a smoke allergy! I booked the hotel as a non-smoking room, but was brought to a room with an ashtray in it. They offered me a different room, but it was just another room that had been smoked in with the smoke covered up by an air freshener. The second night there, cigarette smoke was coming through the air conditioner during the night. Someone from the adjoining room must have been smoking heavily. I left the hotel with a headache and sore throat as my body does not respond well to smoke.

Nice location clean and comfortable room

well, to our surprise honestly, hotel was better than all the other ones in the area (i think) room was large enough and the bathroom was very nice. It was clean. The area is quite and close to the center. Staff was also friendly. Definitely recommend to those who look for a better price than park inn or radisson etc..

Clean and great breakfast spread

This place was very good, especially at the rate we paid. Everything was very clean and tidy, the room exceeded our expectations, the staff was very nice and helpful. The neighborhood surrounding isn't Izmir's finest, but it offers many cafes and restaurants and is walking distance to the more chic areas; some call it a seedy neighborhood, but I hesitate to degrade it coming from basically any city in America.

What a night mare

From the outside when u see the hotel u think that u r entering the heaven, but as soon as u get your room u will realize that u r in a place like the grave no sun light it smells smoky and the towels looks 100 years old, my reservation was for 4 night, but i spend the whole first night waiting for the morning to check out bcoz i didn't sleep at all i just coughing all the night becoz of the smoking smell

15 -20 min walking to Konak (by bus no 45 if you can't walk).. few meters to the 9th square where a suttle bus takes you to the bus station (if you are interested to travel to different cities in Turkey).
hotel is also very close to the metro station, very safe to come at night.
hotel staff are very freindly and helpfull.. they respond very quickly to your request. the reception staff provided some touristic guidance and explain hote to go to specific street/place.
i hihgly recomend you to stay in the hotel.

Specificaly asked for non-smoking room.1st night slept about 4 hour with a nose burning, not sure from where the nicotine was coming (next room, outside, a/c, bathroom...) but was agonizing. Next day gave me another room far from everybody, but the room still smelled smoke, but not active; so could sleep that night. Overall very nice hotel and good breakfast, nice staff, but what a problem the smoke in there !! That's why I would give it only a 3* max, but should be a 0* for the horrible 1st night I had. I'm back there soon and will try another hotel, then will be sure how many starts this one deserves.

Stay here, you won't regret it!

This is a gem of a hotel in the middle of Izmir. The location is great, and it's nearby some great shopping and restaurants. It's also steps away from the train station and a short walk to the bay. The amenities are of a quality and sophistication of what you'd expect in a hotel that charged twice the nightly rate. The breakfast buffet is not to be missed!

The staff is courteous and very responsive. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting the Izmir area.

We liked it!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently situated, near the station, and within walking distance of the sea. Well stocked help-yourself restaurant. Two very minor niggles were that there was a waste bin in the bathroom, but not in the the bedroom. When we mentioned this they provided one immediately. The view out of the window was of a wall, but this had been covered with pictures of Izmir, so this showed that an effort had been made to cover up something that was not their fault. It was a very enjoyable experience, and excellent value for money.

I was surprised by the quality of the hotel and the room, which surpassed the photos and my expectations for cleanliness and quality. The price is great compared with hotels in Istanbul, and you are getting a good discount for the city being Izmir. You are a reasonable walk to the Agora ruins and the bazaar district near the seaside and clock tower square. Also, there is a metro stop nearby which connects to the Airport. We took ship/bus/bus to the bus station and cab to the hotel. After that, it was walk to metro then metro to airport. Good breakfast.

We were there on a trip for hospital check-up and the location was perfect for us because the hospital was just cross the street!!! The hotel was nice and clean, the staff was helpful, we found everything we needed in the room. If I ever have to go to Izmir, I would definetely stay there:))

In addition to their splendid service,they also offer a sauna,massage,etc.
The concierge and reception staff are very attentive and are there 24/7. Nearby are many stores,ATMs,etc.The sea is about 20 minutes away if you walk,but a taxi will take about 5 min.

Böyle bir otel olamaz. Hayatımda kaldığım en kötü yerdi. Bir beklentimiz yoktu ama bu kadar berbat olacağını da tahmin etmedik. Sitede odaların ses geçirmez olduğu yazıyordu ama ses yalıtımı namına hiçbir şey yok. Yan odanın sesinden gece asla uyuyamadık. Lavabo sesleri, gülme sesleri bile sanki bizim odada gibi geliyordu. Arada duvar değil kağıt varmış gibiydi. Nevresim değiştirilmemişti, üzerinde saçlar vardı. O kadar iğrendik ki kendimize battaniye satın alıp öyle yattık ama uyuyamadık tabii ki. Ayrıca oda leş gibi sigara kokuyordu. Resepsiyona söylediğimizde ozon tutabileceklerini ve kokunun gideceğini söylediler. Madem gidecekti neden misafir gelmeden önce tutmuyorusunuz?? Klimadan sıcağı açınca iğrenç bir koku geliyordu, onu da açamadık. Resepsiyona şikayetlerimizi dile getirip kalmayacağımız gecenin iadesini istediğimiz de dün 14 şubattı o yüzdendir yorumu aldık, iademizi de alamadık. KISACASI SAKIN NE KADAR KÖTÜ OLABİLİR DİYİP GELMEYİN!! Paranızı boşuna harcamayın biz harcadık, başka otele geçiyoruz.

Vicinissimo alla Basmane Gar, personale gentile, camera pulita, accessori bagno di ogni genere e pantofole, cambio asciugamani giornaliero, efficiente il servizio gratuito di parcheggio con personale dedicato che prende in consegna l'auto. Première expérience à Izmir, l'hôtel était plutôt bon dans l'ensemble, même si il y a quelques \"ratés\" notamment la fenêtre de la chambre, le minibar, une ampoule cassée etc. Mais le personnel à su nous aider et trouver des solutions. D'ailleurs le personnel était des jeunes et ça c'est plutôt bien ! Très gentils également et attentionnés (notamment pour mon anniversaire avec un gâteau) !

Das Badezimmer war eine absolute Katastrophe. Überall Schimmel, und die „Whirlpool“-Funktion hat das Wasser bei Aktivierung komplett verschmutzt – es roch unerträglich nach Gülle. Zudem hat das Licht im Badezimmer ständig geflackert, sodass man sich wie in Guantanamo gefühlt hat.

Vorab hatte ich Kontakt mit dem Hotel aufgenommen, um mich über die Sauberkeit zu versichern, und es wurde mir ausdrücklich versprochen, dass alles sauber sei. Leider entsprach das in keinster Weise der Realität.

Außerdem hatte ich um eine kleine Unterstützung gebeten, um meine Frau zu ihrem Geburtstag zu überraschen – doch auch das wurde völlig vermasselt.

Fazit: Absolut enttäuschend und definitiv nicht zu empfehlen.

Konakladığımız odada çift kişilik yatak istedik dalga geçer gibi iki tane tek kişilik yatağı birleştirmişler. Oda zaten eski malzemelerle dolu ağır bir koku var. Ilk başta receptionda hiç bir açıklama yapmadan elime kart ve anahtar verildi, sorunca bilgi verildi (aynısı kahvaltı yeri saati, Wi-Fi şifresi) İlk verdikleri oda sigara kokusundan gecilmiyordu ayrıca kapıyı açmakta baya zorlandım. Verdikleri diğer oda için sadece kart verdiler. Kapı kitlemede sorun yapıyordu. Oda pek temiz değildi. Yerlerde tozlar var idi. Tuvalette ki klozet kapağı kirikti. Bunu hem receptiona hemde temizlik görevlisi bildirmeme rağmen değişiklik olmadı.Günü oda değiştirmekle geçirmek istemediğim için onda kaldım. Duvarlar ince olduğu için diğer odada konuşulanlar duyuluyordu. Genel olarak hoteli beğenmedim. Eski bir otel. Kahvaltı çeşit vardı ama masalar bir birine çok yakın. Genel olarak memnun kalmadım.

İlk önce odanın genel temizliği iyi değildi.

İzmir'de konakladığımız bu yaz gününde aşırı yağmur yağdığı ve elektrik kesintisi olduğu için asansörler çalışmıyordu. Dolayısıyla bu konuyla ilgili oteli kesinlikle sorumlu tutamıyorum. Jeneratör büyük ihtimalle yetersiz kalıyor.

Buraya kadar sıkıntı yok diyelim.

Fakat gece saat 11 civarında uyumama rağmen yan odadan gelen seslerle saat 12 gibi uyandım. Sesler kesilmedi ve sabah saat 4'de zorla uyuyabildim. Sesler sanki kendi odamın içinden geliyor gibiydi.

Sabah kahvaltısında da kabus devam etti. Genel olarak yiyecek birşey bulamadım. Biten yiyeceklerden sadece domates ve salatalığı getirdiler.

Bir daha İzmir'e gelirsem kesinlikle tercih etmeyeceğim bir yer.

The pictures on the website does not reflect the quality of the room. The room smelled smoke and the bathroom had mold with minimal maintenance over several years. To many brochure for the same and different information. The room it self was good but need a renovation and decoration and before check in the staff shall double check so the room is ready for check in to match the expectations you have on a suit.

The locations are very good with nice local restaurants with walking distance to cordon and also public transport and airport by taxi.

Çalışanlar güleryüzlü.Bulunduğumuz odada camı açınca dibimizde inşaat,pencereyi açınca gökyüzünü göremiyorsunuz.Odanın ortasında kolon var çok enterasan bir deneyim oldu gerçekten.Konum olarak merkezi bir yerde olmasına karşılık İzmiri bilmeyenlerin(özellikle bayanlar için) gece oralarda fazla dolaşmasını tavsiye etmem,zira pek güvenli bir konum değil.Fiyatına göre göre konuşmak gerekirse gidilebilir bir Hotel ancak 4 yıldızlı havasında kesinlikle olmayan bir Hotel.Duş başlıkları bile 5 liralık japon pazarında satılan ürünlerden.Basit,ucuz detaylar ama kalite detaylarda gizlidir.Şahsen tekrar tercih edeceğim bir yer olamaz.

Tertemiz , tramvaya çok yakın, fiyat olarak çok iyi.
Kahvaltısı daha iyi olabilir.
Hotels.com da 4 yıldızlı olarak yazıyor ama bu otel 4 yıldızlı değil (butik otel)
Genel olarak memnun kaldım , tavsiye ederim.

Ich hatte zuerst ein Zimmer mit Blick in den Schacht, dieses dann gewechselt. - es wurde ein Zimmer mir Blick auf die Strasse, aber leider war wohl vor mir wohl vorhern starken Raucher Es war angeblich kein Nichtraucherr Zimmer mehr frei . Am nächsten Tag wurde das Zimmer \"gecleant\" und es wuirde ok. Ich habe in der direkten Hotelbewertung vorgeschlagen dass die Zimmer überprüft werden sollten um dieses dann gleich zu reinigen. .

A Nice economical hotel in the city central
