Surrounded by 8 hectares of tranquil parkland, the conference hotel offers a delightful blend of modern comforts and traditional charm. Didcot Parkway train station is approximately 5 km from the hotel and Oxford is around a 20-minute drive away.
London Heathrow airport and London Luton airport are approximately 96 km and 129 km from the hotel, respectively. This enchanting Georgian manor house has been sympathetically extended over the years.

The hotel is lovely, however, could do with some TLC. All the staff were fab, especially Amelie and Connor in the restaurant. Evening meal was gorgeous, fresh, tasty and well presented. Breakfast was awful as all the 'hot' items were cold and the sausages did not seem to have been cooked, still translucent through the skin. The deluxe double was good, although could really benefit from a little TLC.

Beautiful hotel which predates the doomsday book. Customer service was very good, breakfast was lovely. We had a problem with our room and they moved us to a new room within half an hour. Lovely grounds of 20 acres, great for a morning walk. Highly recommend.

Awful. Put us in a room next to a renovation. Builders constantly working until 6pm and until started again at 7am. We spoke to reception and they promised the builders wouldn’t start work until 11am.
Awful experience- the hotel could be excellent but there are too many staff doing very little.
We waited at the bar for 25 mins with numerous staff watching us and not even acknowledging us.

A beautiful hotel with historic features. We stayed in the house which is quiet and we had a view of the fields. The swimming is very clean and the jacuzzi was relaxing we had the whole pool to ourselves, it has a small sauna and steam room which needs to be warmer. The Reception had a beautiful Christmas tree and the bar area is relaxing with a lovely sitting room. The staff work hard and make you feel welcome. The room was spacious with sash windows, no snacks provided like the other group hotels we have visited. The floor boards in the room need fixing but it’s an old building. We visited Millets farm to see the Christmas lights, would recommend. Abingdon is a nice town with a mix of independent shops and top high street brands. This is our second visit and we would return. Who doesn’t love the Cotswolds ❤️

Stopped in room 3 - Garden room. Constant dripping / tapping noise all night / so very little sleep (may have been heating system) the garden room block resembles a prison block, dark / small rooms, tiny bathroom (can’t open door and have bath down at same time) and not value for money (over £125 for a twin std.) - not even a bottle of water in the room unless you upgrade -which is an extra £30 plus! - supposedly 4 star!

Booked 2 twin rooms, but one room was made up as a double. Reported this to reception straight away. Said they would alter it by 7pm. Didn't happen. Reported to recetion in the morning and the room was set as a twin by the time we had returned that afternoon . And we were offered a bottle of fizz.

Such a lovely hotel. Our room was pretty worn looking but clean. To make it a really top stay I'd say some updating of rooms in necessary but we loved our time there. GREAT food and fabulous staff and the hotel is in a beautiful setting. Really worth being based here to travel to Oxford and surrounding areas.

We loved the hotel when we arrived. Beautiful period building. Reception area fantastic. Unfortunately we were not in the main building! Driving to a different car park and the Garden rooms we were confronted by a complete eyesore. Very disappointing. The rooms however were a different story. The beds were very comfortable with quality bedding. Lovely thick towels and toiletries provided in the bathroom. We ate at the hotel which was good but we were shown to a separate area, the Italian “something” and the actual restaurant looked much nicer. Overall I would stay again especially if on a deal (which we weren’t but most other guests seemed to be!)

We were in the \"Garden Rooms\" which, after coming from the grand front were, a bit of a shock and looked quite run down from the outside. The corridors in that building were stiflingly hot and ho estly thw room was worse. There is no aircon and because thw windows areful open (safety feauture I imagine), thw tiny fan you get genuinely didn't do much.
The room could have bee cleaner, but sheets were clean and so was the bathroom, so all good.
Breakfast was abundant with lots of seating and excellent muffins. The coffee is actually really good too.

We were in the \"Garden Rooms\" which, after coming from the grand front were, a bit of a shock and looked quite run down from the outside. The corridors in that building were stiflingly hot and ho estly thw room was worse. There is no aircon and because thw windows areful open (safety feauture I imagine), thw tiny fan you get genuinely didn't do much.
The room could have bee cleaner, but sheets were clean and so was the bathroom, so all good.
Breakfast was abundant with lots of seating and excellent muffins. The coffee is actually really good too.

Hotel advertised does not show images of the additional bedrooms building (which unknown to us, our room was situated), which is by far less grand and looks like a 1960's build. Whilst staying, it appeared most paying guests were placed in the block. This building lacked a decent airflow. We went to use the fan provided and multiple dust 'clumps' flew across the room. This aside, staff were friendly, polite and helpful and the breakfast was plentiful.

Very expensive for what was no better than a premier inn. No aircon, so rooms have fans. Fan fuse exploded so had to move room, these things happen. Breakfast - terrible. Had to sit outside in the rain due to the room for breakfast not being big enough. Food was barely cooked and had to wait around for many items. There was a wedding at the time, so I understand being busy, but if you have a wedding party, prepare for it better.

Very pretty surroundings and I'd consider going back after the renovations. Breakfast was okay, and the pool was nice though could be cleaner and the changing space is small. Our room wasn't ready a couple of hours after check in began and we had a knock for cleaning to begin a while before check out but I'm sure that was an unfortunate coincidence.

I read the reviews of the hotel from others and it's fair to say that away from the really friendly hotel staff the hotel is in a dire state or repair and overhaul. We stayed in a deluxe family room and the hotel kindly made up 3 beds. A large room with a super king bed and all the items needed for a stay but

There is one desk lamp which was only bright enough to light up a very small area of the desk, tried to use the lamp on the side of the bed as that was much brighter but for some reason that had three round pins and the sockets at the desk were Uk sockets. Rang reception and they said they would bring another desk lamp up, upon receipt I was unable to use it as that had three round pins. The building and grounds were very good and also the service from the staff. The decor in the room needed attention with marks on the walls (Room 407) and paint peeling off in places. The toilet did not flush correctly and the only thing that let it down formbeing an excllent review was the decor in the bedroom, the rest of the hotel was lovely with a lot of character.

Great location, it’s a fantastic building, it clearly needs some TLC!! I did stay in a block of rooms that looked like a jail, but the room was of a good standard. Breakfast really wasn’t pleasant, also understaffed, dirty plates everywhere and food was a great standard.
