Located in Ciudad del Este in Paraguay, on the left bank of the Rio Paraná, this family-friendly casino resort is just 1. 5 km from the Friendship Bridge in the Alto Paraná area, also known as the Three Borders.
The business hotel is also within minutes of one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Itaipu Dam, and in the developing world's commercial capital, Ciudad del Este. The conference hotel is 1 km from the city centre and its many shops.
The Iguaza National Park and Tati Yupi Reserve are both 25 km from the spa complex, 35 km from Iguaza Falls and around 250 km from the Jesuit ruins. The hotel has a spectacular casino, one of the largest in the country, with over 350 slot machines, roulette tables, table games, tournaments, Texas poker and electronic roulette machines.
It has a complete security system and surveillance, making it one of the safest places in the city. Facing the river, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat for rest, relaxation and conducting business.

It would have been nicer of them to keep the pools a little bit cleaner of the debris from the plants. The pools constantly had a lot of debris, which are really not a harmful thing, but just makes the pool look bad. In the spa, there should be a way to lower the air conditioning because otherwise after getting out of the warm pool or the sauna or steam room it feels very, very cold.

The breakfast buffet is delicious. The food in the restaurant AND the snack bar is also fantastic. The hotel is perfectly located a short walk to the center and to the bridge to Brazil. Perfect place to base yourself for a visit to the Iguazu falls.

We had 4 major problems, and some more minor ones. The first is that there was no Wifi in our room, which was less than half-way from the lobby to the end of the hotel. We had to leave our room to use the internet. Not OK for what seemed to be the best hotel in town. The second problem was that the shower dripped/leaked. I wouldn't necessarily take points off for that, but we were there 3 nights, advised them of the problem our first morning and it wasn't ever fixed. The third is that they recommended an agency which quoted us a price of 600,000 GNS for a trip with a guide to Iguazu Falls (Argentina). When we arrived at the falls, assuming our driver was our guide, we waited around 45 minutes after he parked, waiting for him to guide us. When we finally found the driver, we found out that the agency unilaterally decided there wouldn't be a guide, without informing us or re-negotiating a price. They did give us only 100,000 GNS in discount. I doubt this is the first time they've pulled this stunt, and I hold the hotel responsible for the referral. There were two pools, one empty and one half-full with unheated water. A more minor problem was that the scrambled eggs at breakfast were extremely running each of the three mornings we were there. At dinner, the menu prominently featured a fixed-price menu. When I tried to order, I was told \"This is only for lunch,\" although there's no such indication on the menu. There is nothing else within reasonable walking distance.

The Hotel is fantastic. Great view, great food. We went for New Year, and the staff was on a hurry that day, they cleaned the room in a sloppy way, and did not take the laundary. The person who had shift that night was rude and did not know how to handle the situation. We also were charged with a bottle of champange which we did not drink. The manager luckily took care of that. Other than that night, it was great. We did stay for 4 nights, the rest were awesome.

An oasis amid the chaos of Ciudad del Este
Stayed there for 2 nights over the long holiday weekend ending 3/May/2015 and our experience was wonderful. Arrived well before check-in time, hoping to drop off luggage before heading out to Iguazu Fall across the border in Brazil. The staff was marvelously efficient and friendly. The room was ready and they checked us in right away, even though we had arrived so early. The room was in the \"new wing\", although from the hallways this wing didn't appear any different from the older wing. The room itself was quite spacious, with two queen beds, immaculate, and well-appointed. The bathroom was ultra modern and everything worked (instant hot water and an invigorating showerhead). The toiletries were generous and quite nice....the mini bar was well-stocked. The view lovely. We found strong wi-fi signal in the room and throughout the hotel. The hotel was quite full that weekend, but we encountered none of the issues other reviewers have commented on (no unruly guests, loud noises, long waits, etc). There's a casino on site but in a separate building. So if gaming is not your thing, it's not in-your-face like Las Vegas. I've had to travel to Ciudad del Este on several occasions and, in my opinion, there is no better place to stay.
That said...manage expectations about the city itself. Ciudad del Este is a chaotic border town. Traffic is a nightmare, drivers view pedestrians as fair game, downtown is barely bearable, and outlying areas are dicey. But that is the town, not the hotel.

Hotel was beautiful and staff very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was pretty run down, but not so bad to detract from the stay. Easy access to Brazil and Iguassu Falls. Not a lot of the staff spoke English but we were still able to communicate.

Was well worth the trip over the border from iguassu to see paraguay. It's only a 20 minute walk from the border to the hotel. The hotel is very nice, clean spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
Breakfast was good and the restaurant was very nice. We were told it wasn't safe to go out after dark so stayed in the hotel bar by the casino, they had a band on which was fun and a good range of cocktails and spirits and cheap prices.

The hotel is really well priced for the level of service it offers. Nice swimming pool and garden, quiet place and very kind personnel. Breakfast is good although it could be slightly improved with a bit more choice in the buffet. Overall it is a very good option in Ciudad del Este, not to say the best!

All was well but for the fact that the local staff spoke very little English. The town shuts down by 8 PM so plan all meals if outside by 8 PM. Call the hotel before and arrange for private car with English speaking guide to enjoy your stay.Overall hotel is very good and clean. Call the hotel and they will send a cab for pick up from the airport.

O hotel é muito confortável. O café da manhã é muito completo. As camas são impecáveis, tanto no conforto quanto na qualidade dos lençóis. Para quem gosta de cassino, é uma ótima opção. Ponto favorável são os dois carregadores de bateria de carros elétricos. A única desvantagem é que o piso dos quartos é de carpet. Quem é alérgico pode sofrer.

O atendimento foi excelente e o conforto do quarto e das dependências do hotel são muito boas. A manutenção do banheiro não estava legal: chuveiro ruim, espalhando água para todos os lados; e vaso sanitário e pia entupidos… com pouca vazão de água. Comida boa.
