Repeat visit

My second time to stay at the Pousada Sonho Meo. I still like the place. The breakfast is always full of delicious surprises, and you can walk a block to the supermercado or to buses to the Falls, either side, or to Paraguay. This time, we went to Paraguay. Best to not be in a hurry if you go on a Saturday!

Great stay with helpful staff

We enjoyed our stay at Pousada Sonho Meu. We were only there for a couple of days to visit the falls and Itaipu but were made to feel very welcome and the staff helped us out with tickets and transfers which was invaluable.

The pousada is really nice and it is close to the bus stop terminal which brings you to the brazilian side of the iguazu waterfalls. Also close to a supermarket, which is always cool.

We stayed to see the Falls and was not disappointed. The hotel is right next to the bus stop which was very handy to get to the Falls and also the hydro dam which was very interesting. I would recommend both to everyone. The hote was nice and clean. Staff were happy to just chuck us in the room and weren’t super friendly but not bad at all. We’re not that forthcoming with info so you have to ask questions..
The breakfast staff are very nice and willing to cook fresh eggs and bits when it has run out.
There was a bit of noise as walls are thin but overall very handy stay

JUST ... GRREATTTT !!!

This Pousada Was chosen by my Wife due to the great reviews read in Hotels.com and her decision to stay there was right.Our room and bathroom were clean, and the a/c unit worked as expected. Breakfast was very good. The Pousada is located in a quiet residential area but only 150 meters from the main avenue were inexpensive buses go to the Falls, Downtown, Airport, etc., without the need of spending $$$ in taxis or tours.It is a simple płace with a very friendly, Customer-oriented approach

Very nice place, next to bus station

Probably one of the best places I've stayed in terms of price v quality. Had a great room with very low price, it's next door to the local bus station so very easy access to the Falls, the Airport, Ciudad del Este in Paraguay and also Puerto Iguazu in Argentina. There are some great communal places where you can hang out with people as well. Highly recommended if you ever come to Foz do Iguacu.

Stay at the Pousada

This hotel is about as well-located as is possible for a traveler who wants to go to both the Brazilian and Argentinian sides of Iguacu Falls. The breakfast is excellent, the pool is small. Lighting in the rooms can be improved. The very helpful clerk speaks good English. I was directed to the supermarket a block away, which has practically everything a traveler could want. The hotel is quiet, even with its proximity to the bus terminal.

The hotel offers clean rooms which are on the basic side of things, which is fine for the price paid. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin and as we had a room downstairs we were woken every time the front gate buzzer went off and by the reception night staff walking around openig and shutting cupboards.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel was basic but good value. The hotel organised a taxi to take us to and from fallls on the Argentinian side and the following day on the Brazilian side of the falls. Both days were fantastic.

Very friendly and helpful owner & staff; they arranged bus tickets for us, took us to the waterfalls on the Argentinean side, charging honest prices and helping & advising on what we needed (e.g. Argentinean pesos in cash to pay entrance fee, etc). Breakfast buffet is very nice. Location conveniently located close to local bus station (buses go to waterfalls) and big supermarket.

Fantastic staff in this comfortable Pousada

The staff, especially Andre and Juliana, were fantastic! They were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us out. They had great recommendations for activities and restaurants. The Pousada was comfortable and had a very pretty courtyard. The outside of the building was questionable as we arrived late at night. However, inside it was a 4 star hotel. The location next to the bus station is convenient, although there are places closer to the Falls. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely oasis

The Pousada was perfect for our overnight stay in Foz do Iguazu. We were thrilled with the location, the atmosphere, the peaceful feeling, and the clean place to stay. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic and so appreciated. The staff were helpful in obtaining information and tickets for our activities. The only thing missing was a hot shower, but that was typical for our entire South America experience. Overall, our stay at the Pousada was a blessing and a lovely memory. We would recommend it to anyone.

Ok place with transit terminal close by

It is an ok hotel, although you pay a lot for what you get. We had 2 rooms, one on ground level was dark an noisy. The other one, close to the reception and facing the little pool was noisy too for other reason. The tiny TV did not work. One thing that we did not expect is that we had 2 pay 2 rooms cash, they don't take credit cards. If you going there for 1 or 2 nights just to see the falls, you may want to stay at a place closer to the airport. It will save you on taxi fare and transit time. Foz do Iguaçu is a fairly big and well developed city, I was surprised, I expected a small village.

This place is near the bus terminal that takes you everywhere. To the Iguacu National Park, Itaipu and another places around town. restaurantes are near by and across the street is the Zoo. The only inconvinient is the pousada doesn't take Credit Cards. Staff is very friendly.

This B&B was great for our needs: close to the bus station, secure and quiet location, friendly staff (and dog!), basic but clean rooms. No heating in the hotel so come prepared if you're there during the winter months.

I'll start with the positive: Great breakfast and location (if you want to stay in town. Very near the bus terminal, where you can catch a bus to the Iguaçu Falls - about 30 mins journey).
Now the negative:
- At arrival was \"greeted\" by a woman who has problems smiling.
- Bedroom facilities are out of date.
- There are lots of rules that we are supposed to follow, but the owners decide when to follow some of them, for example, after 10 you're supposed to keep quiet. One night there were screaming kids in the pool until midnight, and they only stopped because I complained at reception. Laundry: It says in their info sheet that you can drop your washing in the morning and have it delivered in the evening. Ours took nearly 48 hours to arrive, it turned out that they had written the wrong bedroom number. No apologies offered.
- As mentioned before: screaming kids, so if you want peace and quiet avoid it.
- Worst of all: They do not accept credit cards, only cash. I had to go out on the last day to the nearest cashpoint (inside a supermarket) and a few days later discovered that my credit card had been cloned - not the pousada's fault, but something that wouldn't have happened if they accepted credit card.
Never staying there again.

Conviently located next to the bus stop. Nice basic place to stay, a couple of the staff could speak english so was very helpful. Nice and clean with good breakfast and pool area. Loved the swing bed by the pool. Overpriced for what it offers. I would recommend it although for $26 New Zealand more, I stayed in a 4 star hotel on the Argentina side and it was so much more luxiourious, with far better facilities, no comparison really. All depends on what you are looking for?

Much better than I expected

The hotel was listed as a hostel but it is not a hostel at all. It is very nice and can tell they are only improving it. Everything is newer and being renovated. They have a really nice pool and great breakfast. It is across the street from the bus station and the zoo (which is free). The location is on the edge of town so not that close to a lot. There is a large grocery store across the street otherwise you can take the bus or walk to other areas. I walked which was not a problem for me. The bus that takes you to the falls is across the street and so is the bus that takes you to Argentina.

Cheap, clean, friendly, ideal for short visit

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights whilst visiting the waterfalls. The owner spoke good English and helped us in recommending restaurants and calling taxis. The room was cleaned thoroughly each day, the bed comfortable, and extra blankets were available. This was good because it was freezing outside, all the windows were left open, and there was zero heating. Breakfast was diverse and tasty.
I would recommend this very reasonably priced guest house for anyone staying a short while, and intending to spend most of the day away.

Great, simple, friendly place to stay

The people were very helpful and considerate of our needs. On the first morning we had forgotten to change our clocks for the new time zone, so we went down to breakfast right when it was suppose to end. They were very polite about it and asked us if it was okay to put the food away after we had eaten. They also helped with all the arrangements to go to the Argentina side of the falls one day. We would definitely stay there again. The hotel is situated right next to the big bus terminal so we were able to get places easily.

A must stay hotel in Foz Iguasu

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Very easy to find if you get the bus from the airport to the bus terminal in Foz Iguasu and a 1 minute walk on the same road. Very clean, very helpful staff and great for visiting the falls Argentinian side and Brazillian side. Small room but everything you need for a short stay would highly recomend it for value for money and easy to get to. Also an absolutley brilliant breakfast, fruit tea coffee bread different kinds hot and cold meats. Really everything you need.

Great Value - Close to bus stations, restuarants and grocery store

I'm a very picky person and was worried about staying here. It was well worth the money however! The location is in a prime spot next to a bus station, many restaurants (they have business cards for a Churascaria nearby, you can get 15% off - BEST churrascaria I went to in Brazil) and also close to a major grocery store, which we found more useful than we thought. There is only 1 woman who speaks English and she is on-site in the mornings. The breakfast spread is very decent, just try not to get there too late. The pool is very cute, but hardly worth swimming in. The Pousada itself is very basic, I compare it to an upscare youth hostel with private baths. It seemed as though most people drove their own cars and parked inside the gated walls (we took cabs/bus). The airport is about a 20min cab ride, but wasn't terribly expensive - be sure to barter. Free wi-fi. A/C and ceiling fan too, but expect for it to be outrageously humid in this area of the country. Hair dryer included in bathroom. Bathroom amenities are not in the rooms when you arrive, but if you need them just ask the front desk (I think they are free but most people bring their own). Also, the morning staff can help arrange tours, make phone calls, etc for you - be sure to ask for help. Last comment, area was safe to walk in the evening, just be cautious of course. We walked about a mile from the hotel and back between 9-11pm without any issues.

This pousada looks a bit rustic from the outside, but is comfortable and affordable. The breakfast was nice and rooms were clean. It was great that they had wi-fi access as well. The people that worked there are all extremely nice, but don't speak much English at all. We were able to communicate in spanish with them. The gentleman there was extremely helpful to organize an excursion for us to Argentina one day. I would recommend it, just don't expect hotel standards.

イグアスの滝に行くために泊まりました。ブラジル側の滝に行く公共バス乗り場が近くて便利です。
アルゼンチン側の滝に行くために乗る、国境越えのバス停留所もホテルから徒歩すぐにあります。2025年3月時点では午前中に1時間1本出発、一人25レアルでした。国境からはタクシーで25アメリカドルでアルゼンチン側のイグアス国立公園まで行けました。国境から公共バス移動だと一度乗り換えが必要になり、料金も時間もかかるので、二人以上なら待っているタクシーの方が便利です。他の市内移動はUberタクシー移動でokでした。
宿には猫が多くいて、半日はプールと猫と遊んでのんびり過ごし、とても良い休日を過ごしました。スタッフも親切で、シャワーのお湯も遅い時間でなければちゃんと出ますし、朝食も美味しく、水など飲み物も部屋付けで買えて便利です。

Uma excelente experiência! Pousada muito bem localizada, próxima do terminal de ônibus, supermercado, caixa eletrônico, casa de câmbio e restaurantes. A equipe do hotel muito eficiente e genuinamente atenciosa com seus hóspedes. Café da manhã gostoso e variado. Se trata de uma pousada e não hotel, mas o valor da diária é de um excelente custo benefício. Por fim, um destaque especial para Junia, que me ofereceu pães de queijos quentinhos, e o Paulo, que antecipou meu check in.

Hôtel bien équipé en extérieur (billard, salle de sport, petits coins cosy) - très beau jardin avec mobilier en bois, par contre, Cuisine commune qui manque vraiment d’équipement - chambre très simple avec des finitions à revoir (plafond salle de bain ouvert)
Le plus: Personnel très accueillant et serviable. On nous a proposé le service d’un chauffeur pour visiter les chutes des 2 cotés frontaliers, vraiment sympa !

Excelente! Com alguns ajustes seria perfeita.

Ambiente muito agradável e atendimento excelente. Só não foi perfeito por dois motivos:
1. Era possível, de dentro do quarto, ouvir barulhos e ruídos dos corredores e da recepção, e isso nos perturbou um pouco;
2. Ouve uma falha de comunicação entre o app de reservas e a pousada, sendo que reservamos 2 quartos e o estabelecimento entendeu que seria somente 1, o que poderia resultar em um grande problema caso as acomodações se esgotassem. Felizmente, o problema foi prontamente resolvido na recepção.

Gostaria de acrescentar uma sugestão ao hotel: que se coloque mais tomadas nos quartas, pois no nosso quarto havia pouquíssimas.

Passeio em família em Foz

A pousada é bem localizada e agradável oferecendo ótimo custo benefício. Você se sente num ambiente familiar, o que favorece uma rápida interação com os demais hóspedes e o próprio staff, sempre muito solícito.
Minha observação desfavorável, que atribuo como um oportunidade de melhoria, é o chuveiro do quarto 21 que só tinha duas temperaturas (frio e muito quente), além de um jato fraco e irregular.Também, as mulheres da família sentiram falta de um secador de cabelos, entretanto, no geral, esses pontos não chegaram a comprometer de forma significativa a estadia, que foi muito boa.

Très bon accueil, chambre spacieuse, service à volonté pour le petit déjeuner. Bien situé, près de la gare routière des bus intra urbains.
Des excursions pour les chutes d'Iguaçu côté argentin sont proposées, très pratique car un chauffeur nous emmène, s'occupe du passage de frontière et revient nous chercher en fin de journée.

Quartos possuía uma porta com aberturas em relação ao quarto vizinho, em que estavam hospedadas crianças e os pais e o barulho perdurou até a madrugada.
Café da manhã não cumpriu a propaganda, tudo frio e bastante escasso, talvez pela superlotação, mas o hotel deveria ter se preparado melhor para a alta temporada de janeiro.
Havia reservado cama de casal e no quarto, que era o último do hotel, havia 2 camas de solteiro.

A pousada está bem localizada, ao lado do Terminal Urbano (TTU). Se você for fazer os passeios de ônibus - que funcionam super bem na cidade vale muito a pena!! Na mesma rua da pousada, passa o ônibus que vai pra Argentina (R$ 5,00), em frente a entrada do terminal passa o ônibus que vai pro Paraguai - atravessando a ponte da amizade (R$ 5,50) e dentro do terminal (R$ 3,55) saem os com destino as cataratas, templo budista, aeroporto, Itaipu, Paraguai (vc desce do lado brasileiro e cruza a pé a ponte), etc. Dá pra se virar muito bem de ônibus! E caso queria , dentro da pousada há uma empresa que faz os passeios - não utilizei.

Merece destaques:
- O atendimento simpatico das recepcionistas Mari e Júnia. A Júnia nos deu diversas dicas e recomendações pra aproveitarmos a cidade!

- A atenção e o carinho das cozinheiras Ilza e Rose !! Comidas fresquinhas, gostosas preparadas por elas! Quando fui estava frio e elas preparam chocolate quente, uma delícia!

- A pousada é charmosa, aconchegante, bem cuidada. As fotos refletem bem a realidade da pousada.

Skøn have og pool og sødeste personale

Skøn have med dejlig pool. Personalet er utroligt søde og hjælpsomme. Alt er rent og velholdt. Kæmpe plus, at det ligger lige ved busstationen. Indkøbsgaden ligger 10 min derfra.
Værelserne er små og mangler mange ting som lys og skabe. Det er som et hostel. Til gengæld er der køleskab, og man kan lave mad i fælleskøkken.

近距離ターミナルからすぐのホテルなので移動（国立公園やアルゼンチンへも全て）がすごく楽でした。ズボンが汚れたので洗濯したところ、従業員が乾かす場所を提供してくれました。イグアスの滝でのボートツアーやミネラルウォーターもホテルで安く購入できます。

Super petit déjeuner et un accueil vraiment chaleureux de Carlos. Les chambres sont agréables et propres. Après une longue journée à découvrir kes chutes d'Iguaçu, vous pourrez vous reposer dans le patio avec piscine.

Linda estrutura interna do jardim e área aberta interna da pousada. Ponto alto da pousada é seu café da manhã. Mesmo com um valor em média mais baixo para a cidade, apresenta um café da manhã fantástico. Funcionárias muito simpáticas. O único problema da pousada é sua acústica. Se eliminassem a porta que comunica os quartos (por parede), já resolveria uma parte do problema.

Poderia ser melhor!

Nos colocaram em um quarto com muito cheiro de bolor e umidade!
Banheiro em mas condições.
Após solicitarmos nos trocaram, contudo o chuveiro eh muito ruim! Fraco e frio para 5 graus de temperatura. Com criança ficou bem delicado.
Forçam muito a contratação dos transfers da empresa, contudo dão boas dicas de locais e de ingressos.
Não dão dicas de restaurantes.

Je ne recommande surtout pas cette pension car le personnel n'est pas pas arrangeant, pas aimable et ne parle pas un mot d'anglais. Ne prends pas la peine de contacter ses clients pour un no show de 3 jours, préfère simplement relouer les chambres non occupées. Heureusement que les chutes sont là pour assurer leur business car méthodes commerciales très douteuses.
Le quartier est très moyen et très bruyant. Préférez les hôtels aux alentours vous en aurez pour votre argent car bien moins couteux et prestations de bien meilleures qualités.

バスターミナルからすぐのキレイで朝食が豪華

バスターミナルを出てすぐにホテルが見えるので迷うことなく行けます。チェックイン時に予約が入ってないと言われましたが、たまたま持っていたバウチャーを見せると部屋に通してくれました。建物も新しいのかキレイで、何より朝食が豪華で良かったです。

Ambiente rústico, porém muito aconchegante com uma equipe bem cordial.
Para quem gosta de fazer compras no Paraguai, fica a uma quadra do ponto de ônibus.
Para os pontos turísticos, possui uma equipe interna onde pode contratar os serviços.
Tem um supermercado ao lado da pousada onde pode-se comprar bebidas e comida e armazenar no Frigobar.
A pousada também tem uma área onde os hospedes podem fazer churrasco, academia e mesa de sinuca (este se não me engano é pago a parte).
Na frente da pousada tem um parque onde tem alguns animais como macacos, aves, etc...

Muito recomendado. Gostaria de poder ir todo ano pra lá.

Hotel simpático e bem-localizado

As áreas comuns do hotel são bastante simpáticas, com sofás e poltronas confortáveis, uma cozinha/área de lazer comum, academia de ginástica e piscina. O café da manhã é muito saboroso e variado, e os quartos são espaçosos e bem-arrumados. O hotel fica próximo ao terminal de ônibus, o que permite o acesso rápido e barato a qualquer lugar da cidade, mas ao mesmo tempo fica em uma área tranquila, silenciosa e arborizada, por estar ao lado do Bosque Guarani.

Excelente Localização!

Minha estadia foi bastante tranquila e agradável , somente com um problema de “goteira” no quarto , em um dia de chuva muito forte enquanto estávamos em passeio , mas prontamente resolvido com a troca por outro quarto.
A Localização da Pousada é excelente , pois fica próxima a vários restaurantes, podendo se locomover a pé.
Faço uma critica com relação a falta de TV por assinatura liberada e a quantidade de tomadas elétricas disponíveis no quarto em que me hospedei ( quarto Familia para 4 pessoas), pois somente tinham 3 tomadas elétricas( foi uma briga para ver quem carregava o celular primeiro na volta dos passeios).

A Manutenção da piscina também precisa também de um pouco mais de atenção , ( Insetos e folhas nas bordas).

Excelente escolha!

Estive em uma viagem com a família em ago2016 e adoramos.
Muito bom atendimento, hospitalidade, cordialidade de todos funcionários, instalações novas, serviço de ótima qualidade, café da manhã farto e muito bom.
O Sr. Carlos deu-me dicas de passeios, compras e sempre foi muito atencioso e solícito.
A pousada está próxima a vias arteriais. A proximidade com o Centro facilita na alimentação, esquina com o terminal urbano, facilita os deslocamentos para quem não está de carro.
Local silencioso, em frente ao Zoológico de Foz, tornou-se nosso primeiro passeio na chegada.
Espero retornar outras vezes.

O atendimento é muito bom, com pessoas prestativas e educadas. Você acaba se sentido em casa. Um café da manhã bem gostoso e farto, preparado com carinho. Meu único problema foi com a manutenção do banheiro. Achei que a limpeza poderia ter sido melhor, e o encanamento me parece precário, já que a pia estava entupida e o vaso sanitário entupia o tempo todo.

Super zentrale Lage am Busbahnhof

Sehr schöne kleine Pousada, mit liebevollen Details eingerichtet. Optimale Lage direkt am zentralen Busbahnhof. Trotzdem sehr ruhig. Von dort aus sind per Bus die Wasserfälle auf brasilianischer und argentinischer Seite problemlos und günstig zu erreichen. Von daher kann ich nur empfehlen, keine organisierte Tour zu buchen. Ebenfalls der Itaipu Staudamm ist es wert mit dem Bus hinzufahren. Direkt gegenüber von der Pousada ist eine Churasceria, die ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen ist.

Bom hotel.

A água do chuveiro é estranha, a pele fica sempre como se estivesse ensaboada.

Um detalhe que importante para qualquer viajante, é pagar qualquer coisa com cartão de crédito, mas a pousada não aceitou que eu pagasse a consumação no cartão, alegando que iria ter que emitir nota fiscal. Bom, acho que até uma bala se paga imposto.

A cama era adaptada com duas de solteiro, aí fica aquela emenda no meio que incomoda.

Adoravél surpresa para mim e minha família, o lugar é mega aconchegante.
Tem um espaço para fazer churrasco, academia, lareira, um lindo jardim.
E a cama e travesseiros super confortáveis.
Era como se eu morasse lá

Localização ideal, ao lado de bons restaurantes como a Churrascaria o Gaucho que tem um preço bom e qualidade.

O café da manha para mim foi o melhor, já estive em hotéis e pousadas mais caros que não ofereceram nem a metade do que tem nessa pousada.

Parabéns a toda essa equipe, em Foz já temos um lugar certo para ficar sempre =D

Great posada with lush garden

Neat Posada with a great, large very lush tropical garden with a small pool, hammocks, stretchers, couches and so on. Nice well decorated rooms. Good breakfast but no dinner (unless I missed something). Can advice this place, it is really relaxing (but see below).
The only downside was the tour operator in-house. They start bugging you with their 'tours' starting at breakfast, and are very persistent (the older women who runs it is very annoying). We took one 'tour' but they are really only a taxi company. They bring you to the falls or other site and pick you up again at the end of the day, that is all. We took one tour, and they keep trying to lure you to new places you don't want to go. Go outside and take a taxi. Same service at half the price.

Bestes Hostel unserer Reise

Sehr hübsches Hostel mit traumhafter Gartenanlage inkl. Pool und Fitnessgeräten, überragendem Frühstücksbuffet und super freundlichem Personal. Unser Doppelzimmer mit Bad war sehr stilvoll, sauber und sogar inkl. Kühlschrank.
Die Kombi bei idealer Lage direkt am Busbahnhof hat die Pousada Sonho Meu zu dem besten Hostel unserer Reise gemacht!

Schöne Pousada, zentral gelegen

Die Pousada liegt direkt neben dem Busterminal (brasilianische Seite der Wasserfälle und Itaipu-Staudamm). Man kann auch zu Fuß in die Stadt, ein großer Supermarkt ist nur ein paar Meter entfernt. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sprechen englisch und sind sehr hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend, die Zimmer einfach aber sauber. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

En soi cette pension est plutôt agréable: bien située, entrée sécurisée, sympathique piscine, très bon petit-déjeuner, parking, et, chose rare, l'anglais est parlé. En revanche j'ai été déçu par la qualité de la chambre: ameublement sommaire, très mal insonorisée, eau tiède.
Au final le lieu n'est pas désagréable, mais il pourrait être amélioré.

Hôtel agréable avec très bon accueil

L'environnement immediat de l'hôtel est un peu décevant. L'accueil et les conseils fournis aux voyageurs sont très bien: on nous a organisé le trajet en taxi pour aller aux chutes côté argentin, pour nous eviter le temps passé dans les bus.
Tres bon sejour.
