It’s very conveniently located. Staff made good recommendations for lunch and dinner. Close to a supermarket. Pool area is very nice. Hotel rooms are pretty tired. We loved the best stuff: Gabriel and the young woman who works with him. Phenomenal breakfast.

This is an older property with enough upgrades to make it a convenient budget stay. Location was convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very “local”, so don’t expect bacon and eggs. Nice pool area and pool bar for relaxing!

Os atendentes são ótimos,mas esperava mais da estadia!
Os quartos são muito barulhentos,ouve-se tudo do quarto de cima e da rua,ar condicionado super barulhento!
A tv é na frente da cama de solteiro ,não vira para a cama de casal.
O lençol da cama não tem elástico,acordava no coxão puro toda noite,e a limpeza deixou a desejar,claramente só ajeitavam a cama trocavam as toalhas,nem uma varrida ou pano no chão!
Café da manhã fraco,dois primeiros dias não tinha queijo branco,só uma opção de iogurte de morango ,não tinha iogurte natural ou outro sabor,ou alguma outra coisa que pudesse comer com cereal,uma opção de bolo e outra bolo do dia anterior,a moça da tapioca super mau humorada!
Piscina pequena e o estacionamento é cobrado R$20,00 a diária.
Enfim…localização excelente recepção,manobristas e atendentes da piscina ótimos!

As condições gerais do hotel são boas, quarto limpo e espaçoso, bom banheiro, bom café da manhã.
Todos os funcionários foram educados e muito prestativos, tanto na recepção, no café da manhã e serviços de arrumação e limpeza.
Único ponto que destaco como negativo foi as opções de canais de tv disponíveis no quarto. Apenas alguns canais da tv aberta. E, o aparelho de tv era pequeno e antigo. Um hotel de quatro estrelas obrigatoriamente deve dar aos seus hóspedes opção de canais da tv a cabo e de streamings.

The staff of the property were very helpful. The morning staff speaks English but the night staff can be harder to communicate if you don’t speak Spanish or Portuguese

The hotel is very well located. With a store down the road and a pharmacy across the street and a few restaurants around. It is further from the falls but most of the hotels are. We didn’t get to use many of the ammenities so can’t really comment on it. The breakfast was a good spread but lots of carbs. But the fruit and coffee weee good

Room bed were comfortable and the everything works. The room was not the most modern but has everything that is required and clean. Only thing is that our room had a strange odor when we had the ac off.

The hallways to the room probably could be updated but minimal. All in all a great value for money hotel

Gem in the heart of Foz do Iguazu

What an amazing hotel! Decided to book based on previous reviews and it was even better than expected! The rooms were spacious and clean, the hotel staff were all extremely helpful and friendly and were always willing to assist, despite the language barrier. Buffet breakfast was delicious! Location of property perfect - close to many restaurants and shops, with a 24 hour pharmacy/ convenience store situated directly opposite.

We stayed at the hotel for one night - really to transit through the city. It was good value during a busy time of the season but it's an old hotel.
Pros
-Service was very good and friendly.
-Good value - wasn't expensive.
-Very nice pool.
-Strong shower water pressure.
-Nice area - amazing pizza + pasta restaurant across the street.

Cons
-Old building that had a vey bad smell throughout.
-Room was small and bed mattress was not great.
-AC wasn't great - just good.
-Room smelled bad.
-Breakfast was not good.

Very pleasant stay

We booked a family room the first night which was clean and pleasant but a little dated but the second night we had booked two double rooms overlooking the pool area as the family room wasn’t available and these were very modern and lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Pool area was lovely. I had the feeling the hotel was well run. I would definitely recommend it.

Weather was great during our visit, the hotel was brilliant and the in-hotel Tour Services offered great deals and was reasonably priced, only issue with the room was the air-conditioning was very very loud. This seemed to be a problem in a few rooms, but we also noticed they were, fixing/replacing some units so that might be fixed. In the shower, the hot water took around 5 mins to heat up, and when it was hot it still fluctuated between hot and cold.

Stayed 3 nights on order to visit the Iguaco Falls. Enjoyable stay
Hotel rooms are spacious, clean and with good bathroom facilities. Dining in the main restaurant is limited to a fairly average buffet, though better fair was available al a carte from the bar. Staff, in particular the barman, were excellent.

The pool looked nice, though we did not have time to use it. The receptionists barely spoke English and not very friendly. The food in the restaurant was quite bad. Nothing tasty for breakfast, but lots of choices. Bathroom was run down. Though a good location if you are staying in the center rather than by the falls.

The town of Foz do Iguasu is 30 km from Iguasu Falls, but transport there is easy and inexpensive.This hotel is conveniently located near the center of Foz . Service was excellent and the bar made the best Caipiranus. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Room comfortable and clean. English spoken!

Decent Location But Noisy Room and Poor Bed

The hotel is located just uphill from the centre of the town with only a short walk to a bus stop which can take you to either side of the falls.

The room was OK but the windows were very thin and we were road side of the hotel so it got quite nosiy when there was traffic. The bed was a double comprising two single matresses, one of which was hopeless although I could at least change this for the one on the spare single bed in the room. On the upside it had excellent air-conditioning.

Very few of the staff have great English although if you have Spanish this seems to also be widely spoken as well as the native Portuguese.

Breakfast was OK but not spectacular - great coffee but poor juice. Nice hot buffet but poor breads.

Excellent quality for a surprisingly good price

The decor of the rooms hasn't been touched the 1970s, so I was a bit leery. And they have the typical problem of Brazilian hotels of stiff mattresses, but on the plus side they had wireless in the rooms (72 hours for 6 dollars), and balconies on every room I could see (which wasn't mentioned on Expedia, so a nice surprise). But you're not in Iguassu for the hotel - you're there for the Falls. Still, the restaurant is good and the complimentary breakfast is a huge buffet of hot and cold foods, fresh juices, etc. (no sawdusty muffins masquerading as a continental breakfast here). The pool is large and clean. The staff are friendly, and the ones at reception speak excellent English.

Perhaps most importantly, though, the tour operator (Louturismo) who sells packages (shuttles to the Brazilian and Argentine Falls, helicopter rides, boat trips, etc.) in the lobby is a really good and reliable operator. Vinicius was the rep and he was very helpful and friendly (which is probably why I still remember his name.) Every hotel has one of these companies, but other tourists complained endlessly about the ones in their hotels. Their guides didn't even try to speak English or were unprofessional, tardy, or rude. I had wonderful experiences with every guide I had through Louturismo. They made everything about this trip memorable and took all of the hassle out sightseeing. If I go back again, I will definitely stay at Hotel Rafain.

Great location, wonderful restaurants around the neighborhood (Tibol restuarant- kiddy corner has great deals on food and the service and quality is wonderful by the way). Very clean, great service from staff. Only complaints is that the bed is made up of two twins, so not a lot of chance to snuggle or you'll be caught in the middle of the two beds. You can hear everything in the hallways and on the floor above you- other than that delicious breakfast (even though I'd extend the hour until 10:30 am instead of 10) and the bar serves great drinks and the beer at a perfect temperature.

Ótima equipe, quarto bom mas com janela virada para outro quarto. Degrau alto para entrar no banheiro. Bons móveis e boa cama. Só não gostei pq na primeira noite eu usei 3 garrafas de água do frigobar, não reporam no outro dia, então fui na farmácia em frente e comprei água. E todos os dias tive que ir comprar água, mas no dia do checkout quiserem cobrar todas as águas que eu comprei como se fosse o hotel que tivesse reposto, mas o rapaz da recepção nao cobrou depois que expliquei. Tirando isso, toda a equipe do hotel é muito educada, prestativa e hospitaleira, nota 10 para todos eles!

Fint værelse med balkon. Personalet var servicemindet. Flot og velsmagende morgenmad. Både kolde og varme retter samt frisk frugt.
Vi havde problemer med safety boksen. Men hotellet agerede og handlede med det samme så den virkede efter et batteri skift. Stor ros.
Eneste minus. Til juleaften blev vi placeret sammen med andre gæster som ikke talte engelsk. Svært at kommunikere med dem.
På den anden side kan det også være svært for hotellet at vide hvilke andre sprog gæsterne taler.

Minha estadia foi muito boa. O Hotel Rafain é ótimo e o café da manhã merece muitos elogios, tudo delicioso, variado e muito bem servido.
Quero apenas registrar uma situação que ocorreu em uma das noites, liguei para solicitar um prato e a ligação caiu na recepção. A atendente falou rapidamente uma “opção” e desligou antes que eu pudesse explicar o que havia acontecido. Fiquei um pouco desconfortável com a situação e, por isso, acabei pedindo pelo iFood.

De qualquer forma, reforço que todos os demais funcionários foram extremamente atenciosos e prestativos durante toda a minha estadia.

Os quartos merecem ser modernizados, mais adequados aos padrões atuais. A área da piscina é excelente e o café da manhã é com uma grande variedade de alimentos.

Esperava mais.

Razoável.
O banheiro não foi higienizado adequadamente e, desde o 1° dia tinha cabelos por todo chão. As toalhas apesar de limpas estavam ásperas. O colchão também deixa a desejar.
