Aged 88 years and having visited 104 countries I have put Kata Beach resort into my top three, 3 - star places to have a holiday. Fruit salad for my corn flakes would have been the icing on the cake. Rooms were larger than expected and I have no hesitation in recommending this resort with its wonderful staff and swimming pools for all ages from tots to adults. Bed, internet service and transport all good. I am a happy camper.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Your safety is at risk if you choose to stay in this hotel. I checked out of this hotel a day earlier as the hotel was unsafe and the staff had a bad attitude when managing the safety issues we identified. The adjoining room door to our room was opened at 3.30am and I jumped out of bed and saw a man standing in the doorway. It was dark so I didn't wait to identify the man clearly and slammed the door shut. The man began banging on the door asking us why we were in his room. I'm unsure if he was drunk or confused in the darkness but I told him to stay in his room and not enter into ours. The next day when we informed hotel staff of what happened we were given a very flippant reply that we should have locked the door. We informed them that there is no lock on the door and to come up to the room to see for themselves. They initially refused to come to the room and after much persuasion, finally came up to the room. When we showed them that the door cannot be locked, their reply was to ask us if we closed the door at night. OBVIOUSLY the door was closed. Anyway, they offered us another room but we decided not to continue our stay at the hotel. On the second day that we were there, the water that came out of the tap was brown. They had to change our room because of the dirty water. The new room had a bad smell but we decided to put up with it hoping it would pass. The break into our room was the last straw and we decided to check out of the hotel.

Perfect home base to see most of Kata Beach

Lovely property, great location. Was here with our 4 month old and the pool access rooms were great while she napped. The property is a little dated but clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was extensive and they changed it up every day.

I actually enjoyed this property. The downfall of it was that it was a kid friendly resort rather than just an adult friendly place. Everything was walking distance and the 711 was literally next door for all your snack needs. The only other thing that was a downfall was the shower. We had the aqua pura room with pool access which was fantastic! But the shower in the room was horrible it clogged super easily and started to flood the whole bathroom. Everything else was amazing ac was working great, massage services amazing and fast taxi services too.

The hotel is surprisingly beyond my expectations. Very convinience for nearly everythings. I was not at the hotel much during the day, room is spacious, garden, pool, hotel restaurant are nice. A plus is a some sort of business room where I could work after check-out (for 4hrs) before heading to the airport.

I did buy breakfast for 3 days for 299THB/ day cause needed to leave early for diving. Variety of menus in buffet line was limited but tastes were good.

Staff were very nice and helpful. I'd revisit Kata Sea Breeze Resort if stayinging in Kata area on my next trip to Phuket.

Beautiful resort with lovely clean pools. Our room was big but we found the bed too hard and only 1 pillow per person. Aircon worked well and the balcony overlooking the pools was beautiful.

The staff were attentive and quick to address any issues, breakfast buffet was varied and very good.

There were only about 10 rooms out of 320 occupied so most of the time we had a choice of the 3 bigger pools to ourselves, so very quiet and relaxing in the beautiful area. I would imagine if it was full that the serenity would diminish.

Internet was slow and dropped our regularly, we kept changing from the hotel to the restaurant wifi. A great getaway.

We booked to stay at Kata breeze for one night for new year. When we first got there they would not accept photos of the passports, So we had to go back and get the originals, this was ok as every hotel is different! Next they wanted 3000 cash deposit for one night which we thought was a bit excessive! They reduced to 1000.
We thought the room was dated, smelt musty and the bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom was dated and the shower and bath facilities were not the best. We complained and they did come to offer some room spray. We had to pay for WiFi and they charge per phone which we thought was not good. The things in the room had a price such as mosquito spray etc. The location was good and we had a nice night on the beach. They did have things going on on the hotel which looked good but we thought it might be very expensive. Overall we did not enjoy the stay and we payed a lot for one night so we were expecting better. We would not stay again.

Kata Sea Breeze, buffet over priced not worth it.

Check-in was great, we were able to do a early check-in. Lobby was warm, only had ceiling fans. Rooms was great, we got a room with a pool entrance from our room. A/C was not there greatest, took about 15 mins to finally cool, then another 15 to cool the room down. We only got one room key, once key was removed a/c and all power turns off. It was horrible coming back to the room with now a/c on. Location was great, walking distant Kata Beach or a one way shuttle there. Night markets and restaurants all very close by. Breakfast was horrible, and over priced. Buffet style breakfast not much selection, for 459 baht per person, they gave us a 15% coupon to use for restaurant, they working said the coupon does apply to breakfast. Check out process took about 15 mins, they go and check your room while you wait for any missing/used/damage items.

Hotels.com told me my other hotel was full so I booked at this hotel, 2 hours later I was told I was booked at both hotels. I tried to remedy the mistake while on was on the road in Thailand. They refused to cancel, and refund my cost for the night.

Great week at a great place

We had a great week in Kata & at this resort. The rooms were clean, breakfast was perfect & the pools were a godsend late at night when we needed to cool down before bed ;) We did not have small children with us but there seemed to be plenty to keep little ones busy. The outdoor movies was a great idea although we never got a chance to actually watch one - too busy experiencing & exploring everything else in Kata, Phuket. The beach was a short walk away through the town - would have been nice if it was closer but it was close enough to get to in about a 5-10 minute walk. There was a hotel bus that was available to shuttle you to the beach if you were feeling lazy;) Staff were very helpful.

We arrived at the hotel at 2pm and waited 30 minutes in the lobby before being shown to our room. The pillows on the bed smelled like mildew, and sheets were stained with yellow spots, but when we requested another set of pillows we were given some promptly. Free WiFi is only available in a small portion of the lobby, not in the rooms. We purchased WiFi for our room (50 baht for one day, for one device), and were unable to connect. We called the front desk and were told that the WiFi was not working for the entire hotel, and when it was rebooted it was painfully slow. The hotel is rather tacky and outdated, and overall our stay there wasn’t the best experience.

Check in: check in is at 2pm but we had to wait until 3pm. Nobody said \"sorry\" or anything like that. They told us - room not ready, sit, we will call you.
Internet: internet is 10 mins working and 10 mins not working and even when it works it is very slow - you can read email. That is why there are 20 people at least always at the lobby trying to catch the signal. Also, if you selected a room without internet you will need to buy it and it is expensive.
Breakfast: every day same. Forget fruits - you will get only watermelons.

Pros: Nice hotel for what you pay for that has 4 lovely big pools. Perfect location in Kata, close to the shops, restaurants and mini Marts. Also when we stayed there a night market was on the beach which was around a 10 min walk. Staff at reception were nice and around the hotel. Also a well priced and good spa in the hotel. Rooms were average looking however spactious. Breakfast was good for what you pay for expect needs a bit more variety.
Cons: the internet is only free in the lobby so not in your rooms however you can get it if you sit on the balcony yet it still cuts in and out very annoying, pillows weren’t the comfiest one way too soft, the majortiy of people staying were Russians with families that had children running around everywhere, also staff need to be more clear on what’s complimentary in the room as we were under the impression that the water was free but got charged for using the bottles.

Nice pools, clean room but broken/old locks

We had a party of 3 in a twin single room which was far more spacious then we expected. We had plenty of room even after adding the extra bed and spreading out the 3 luggages.
The sheets had a few small stains but the rest of the room and toilet was clean. Toiletries were replenished daily. However, room keeping was unresponsive when we called for slippers (short of 1 pair) and more tissue.

We had a broken balcony window lock which couldn't be used and the main room door is using the old fashioned press-to-lock knob.

There was a power failure in the middle of the night on one of the night we were there (around midnight). All rooms lost electricity for about an hour (could be more). When we returned, the power was already out, but strangely only in the rooms. Corridor, lobby, lifts were all working.
Apparently, rooms in all 5 blocks of the resort were affected.

The staff were very friendly, but unable to advise on things outside of the hotel (like recommended food places, mini bus services etc.)

Overall, pleasant stay for the price, but safety might be an issue.

First visit at Kata Sea Breeze

It was our first visit to Phuket & Kata Sea Breeze. We stayed there from 28.09.16 to 02.10.16. Check in/out was fast and efficient. Though we feel a bit upset when we were asked to pay 3000 bahts as a deposit and allocated to a bad view room (what we can see is the back of of a souvenir shop). We requested a room change and reception/Front Office Manager helped us to change pool view room just beside our friends'(upgraded foc) the next day. Thanks a lot to that. House keeping was perfect. Lobby will always be occupied with a crowd of free wifi users. Overall experience at Kata Sea Breeze is satisfactory and we would love to stay there again when we visit Phuket/Kata.

Tips: Book Pool Access rooms. Basic Russian greetings will help you to chitchat with your neighbors :-) and a sim card at convenience store will give you 7 days free internet usage (no phone calls).

Good location and quite nice hotel, although they tried to charge for literally every little thing (e.g. a broken Glass). The design of the hotel also makes it hard to sunbathe as there is a lot of shade due to the two wings of the hotel being relatively tall and running parallel with a narrow strip in the middle where the pools and sunloungers are located.

Beach is about a 7min walk or shuttle service is available about 30min to 1hr. Very hard beds, to the point you feel like a pressure ulcer will develop if you stay on your side for too long. However, rooms are spacious and clean. Great breakfast buffet and pools.Very lively market at night I'm the surrounding area. Wi Fi only available in the lobby. Very far from everything, so perfect for relaxing but if you plan to go anywhere at night be prepared to pay ridiculous prices to get back to the hotel. Buses stop running at 6pm. No free shuttle to airport available. About 600 bth if taken from hotel services.

Huge Resort with Huge Rooms

I love the fact that they have about 6 different pools throughout the whole resort. Which is helpful as it's not over-crowding. Loved the idea of a projector under the stars to catch up on some soccer matches. Breakfast was a delight as they have many varieties. Beach was close enough. Many shops and restaurants to cater to different people. Massage spas all over the place. Kata Beach has awesome waves with lots of surfers. The staff from the resort was very helpful on helping me find some halal restaurants. Not many around Kata except for Khan Baba which was the closest to the resort. Most of them are in Karon,Patong or Rawai, easily accessed by taxi or motorbike. View points were breath taking. Rooms were spacious and comfy. One of the cleanest bathtub i've came across. Lots of channels to choose from. Trully enjoyed my stay there and looking forward to be back again!

This hotel definitely deserves a 3 1/2 star hotel rating. Super friendly & helpful staff, super clean rooms. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the beach, but they provide rides to the beach for free. My only suggestion is that they try to get internet for guests free of charge to use in our hotel rooms (as other hotels do). To use the internet for free, it must be in the lobby area. Other than that, I had a fantastic stay & I would definitely recommend it. :)

Nice hotel, with nice pools, gym and fairly big rooms. Breakfast wasn't good at all but lunch and dinner served alacart (from the menu) were splendid. The Kata beach is about 15 mins walking distance from the Kata beach. I do recomend paying 200THB for the taxi to the Kata Noi beach which is much cleaner, especialy the bay at the very end of the beach by the hill bungalows.

Trouble on Check in

when i went to check in at 930 pm, they asked me to pay 100 % cash .their credit card machine was not working. the manager TOD said , in any case we will charge 3 % tax on credit card payment if it works..I told him i have only credit card and some cash but not sufficient cash for 3 nights (i had booked 2 rooms) ..he said we don't know..the other person I think EGARD said we don't know whether the machine works tomorrow or not , but before we hand over the keys to u i will have to take your passport..they handed over the keys to me by depositing my passport, in spite of payment guarantee by credit card by EXPEDIA..At this hour of night I was subject to tremendous pressure by the hotel and I also would like to point to EXPEDIA, how they can take this hotel in their list of approved hotels..WHO WILL CARRY CASH FOR 3NIGHTS X 2 ROOMS
in any case I arranged for cash that night and paid them and took back my passport. Howver , I would say that this was the worst experience at this stupid hotel and it's staff/management , that I have ever experienced ever.. (Inside the room I saw in the hotel manual that the credit card payments are not taxed, neither EXPEDIA mentioned about this. All rates are net)

This is first time I had to mention the name of the employees, which I have always avoided as their behaviour was most un tolerable and unbecoming of treating a guest..

O hotel é excelente. É estranho ter apenas 3 estrelas. O quarto é ótimo, rouparia de primeira linha, banho bom. Café da manhã com muitos itens da cozinha tailandesa que, nós brasileiros, não estamos acostumados, mas nada que desabone. O hotel é o preferido dos russos. Se vc for se hospedar aqui vai encontrar muuuuitos deles. A proximidade com todo comércio local também é ponto alto. Muitos restaurantes no entorno do hotel. Apesar de ser muito próximo da praia, eles mantém um transfer que deixa os hóspedes dentro da praia. Uma cortesia admirável. Se voltar a Kata ficaria aqui. O ruim não é o hotel, mas a distância dos pontos turísticos da cidade. Old Town está a 15 km do hotel. Só se chega de táxi e leva de 30 a 40 minutos. Eu deletei do meu roteiro. A praia de Kata é deliciosa. Vale a pena optar essa praia em Phuket.

Kamer was netjes. Ontbijt vrij smaakloos, Er zijn veel zwemdokken dat is TOP maar het laatste zwembad was zgz silent dus rustig en er werd gevraagd om stil of rustig te zijn….en geen glas / bier aan de pool . Toch werd er buckets bier ( in glas) geserveerd en s’avonds aan de tafeltjes geborreld en lawaai …. Terwijl er bij de andere zwenbaden ook tafels etc…stonden . Personeel doet of zegt niets . Serveren zelfs dat bier dan moeten er geen verbodsplakkaten staan ….

Insonorisation inexistante aucun repos

Hôtel magnifique, les piscines sont très propres très jolies. Le personnel est très sympathique. Je suis venu dans le même établissement, il y a sept ans de cela, ils ont fait des travaux à la réception.
Les chambres n’ont pas été rénové. Malheureusement aucune insonorisation, on entend la télé des voisins des chambres côté, on l’entend parler les voisins d’à côté dans le couloir, les gens qui passe on les entend aussi à tout heure. Du coup on est souvent fatigué car pas vraiment reposés à cause du bruit. Personne rentre tard alcoolisé parle hyper fort et les personne qui par ton excursion très tôt le matin, ils viennent taper à la porte de leur ami ou de leur famille ce qui rend impossible le sommeil .
À notre arrivée on a été placé au fond de l’établissement, ils sont en train de détruire un bâtiment à 5 m de cela du coup même l’après-midi sur notre transat devant la piscine, on entend le marteau-piqueur .
Ils nous ont reloger au bâtiment devant la réception, plus de bruit de travaux, mais les de la rue moto music etc
Ma femme est très déçue veut plus y retourner .

Flott hotell, men overflod av russere

Flott hotell med god beliggenhet, stort rom med stort bad. Behagelige senger. Deilig med direkteutgang til basseng. Wi-Fi fungerte utmerket. Ble dessverre skuffet over frokosten, og hotellets gjester kan virke som består av 90% russere som ikke akkurat tok hensyn til andre enn seg selv.

Gute Anlage mit mehreren kleineren Pools, einem Massagestudio (mit guten Preisen), einem zentralen Restaurant für Frühstück, Mittagessen und Abendessen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist gut und bietet eine Auswahl an asiatischen als auch westlichen Speisen. Pancakes, Eier, fried Rice, frisches Obst,... Die Anlage wird gut gepflegt und das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch die Poolhandtuchnutzung und ein Duschen nach dem Checkout bevor man zum Flughafen steigt, war kein Problem. Eine Emailnachfrage vorab wurde allerdings nie beantwortet. Ausflüge habe ich online direkt beim Anbieter gebucht und nicht über die Rezeption - ich habe dafür dort auch keine Flyer gesehen. ATM und andere Restaurants sowie der Kata Beach sind zu Fuß schnell zu erreichen.

Ein großes Manko - und auch der Grund, warum ich dieses Hotel nicht noch mal buchen würde - sind die Zimmer. Diese sind alle durch geschwärzte Scheiben sehr dunkel. Es gibt zwar künstliches Licht, aber insgesamt machen die Zimmer einen spartanischen, dunklen Eindruck. Das Bad ist auch definitiv modernisierungsbedürftig. Die Hotelanlage an sich ist super, die Zimmer dagegen wirken als hätte man die letzten 15-20 Jahre nichts mehr gemacht.

Mutter mit Kind (3 Jahre)

Wir hatten ein Greenzimmer (das heißt 1 Etage inkl eigener Terrasse) ideal mit Kindern. Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt. Das Frühstück beinhaltete eine Riesen Auswahl (war mehr wie Mittagessen). Das Hotel ist sehr bei Russen und Afrikanern beliebt. Wir waren die Einzigen Deutschen was auch nicht wirklich schlimm war. Alle haben sich gut benommen. Nette Atmosphäre. Der Strand nach links (Kata)ist 5-7 Minuten entfernt. Der nach rechts (Karon) ist um einiges schöner um ca. 20 min Gehweg entfernt. Mit dem tuk tuk bezahlt man 200 Baht bis dahin.

Ihan ok valinta hyvää allasaluetta etsivälle

Hinta/laatusuhde kohdallaan. Oikein hyvä ja viihtyisä allasalue ja hotellin sijaintikin varsin keskeinen. Huoneen kunto oli hyvä. Miinuksena keskinkertainen aamiainen, jossa likaiset ruokailuvälineet tulivat tutuksi. Hotellin tulisi tehdä aamiaisen lintuongelmalle jotain, koska linnut olivat ruoka-astioiden kimpussa levittämässä likaa. Muut ravintolapalvelut luokattomia tasoltaan.

Etablisseme't plus que vieillissant. Au niveau de ménage est plus qu à revoir on fait les lits et la salle de bain vite fait. La table sur la terrasse n est pas lavée, on ne parle pas des traces sur les vitres. Les cuillères sont remises sans etre lavée et on vous propose thé et café en chambre mais on ne ne.met pas de sucre. Le petit dejeuner est dans des chauffes plats mais ils ne sont pas allumés donc vous dejeunez froid. Sauf les soupes
La piscine est trés ramenent nettoyée. A 6h00 du matin on repare à coup de marteau dans la machinerie piscine pas trés cool quand la chambre est en face. Nous avons du attendre 3 jours pour faire comprendre que notre douche etait bouchée donc de l eau jusqu au milieu de la salle de bain
Clime bruyante et si comme nous vous avez de la chance elle fuit.Bref avons été trés décud de ce sejour durant trois semaines.

「針」人、「屈」人又可能會煙「死」人的經歷！

好多蚊子，咬到全身又紅又腫！要自己出錢去買防蚊噴霧及滅蚊水！另外，酒店清潔員工放幾隻洗過的玻璃杯在洗手盤的邊沿，所以有兩隻打爛了，他們竟然提出要我們付錢賠償；又在退房時，他們又指我們偷了他們房間的煙灰缸，又要我們負責照價賠償，而我們從頭到尾都沒有見過什麼煙灰缸，況且我們選擇的是非吸煙房間，但他們硬要說他們酒店是沒有非吸煙房的，而且肯定每間房都有煙灰缸的，我以後都唔會再住呢間酒店，因為唔係比佢地「屈」死；都會吸「二手煙」病死喇！
