The whole experience was awesome .
Location, Location,Location!! 5 minutes walk to Kata Beach, shop's and restaurants all within walking distance. The room was beautiful and spotless, the pools ( there's 3) were kept super clean. The food was delicious! But most importantly was the staff!! I have never seen as many smiles as i did at The Kata Palm Resort and helpful beyond words. 100% recommend staying here.

Pictures make this place look a lot nicer than what it is. The beds are absolutely horrible. The hotel itself is very dated. The breakfast is not very good. The staff was friendly, that’s really the only positive. I don’t really understand how this place has so many good reviews. I ten out of ten do not recommend.

Great location — quiet, safe and an easy walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. Excellent value for accommodation and food. The pool area was fantastic and we appreciated the complimentary water. Wish we’d known about the swim-out rooms beforehand — they look incredible (next time)

The resort is very large, so there’s a fair bit of walking if your room is at the back. The room was large & clean. The bed and pillows weren’t comfortable initially but were fixed quickly. Breakfast was disappointing to me, but the others thought it fine. While staff were friendly overall, they weren’t as warm as other places we stayed.

We all agreed Kata is the best area to stay in & we do recommend this resort.

The check-in/out was quick and efficient. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for three nights and really appreciated the direct pool access our room had. The breakfast was average. The property is within a short walk to restaurants, shopping, beach….etc. We had a nice time at the Kata Palm and would stay here again.

The whole complex was just beautiful! We stayed in a pool access room and the amenities did not disappoint. We adored our determined housekeeper. She always made sure we were well equipped. The trees were constantly dropping leaves and flowers but they were out everyday cleaning the pool. The temp of the pools were not overly heated but it would feel so good after coming back from a day of walking, beach or activity excursions. The Thai breakfast buffet was outstanding! We loved the soup days. Everything was clean and staff were very friendly. They served western options as well. We were there in mid-Nov and it was transitioning into the drier season however, it did not transition fast enough, lol. It was humid, warm and sticky most days with heavy thunder storms that would flood the streets. After it would stop raining, the streets would be bone dry. Just use their umbrellas. Our recommendation is to go in December. I would definitely stay here again!

The information about this hotel is completely misleading. The reality is far from what’s advertised. The rooms are dirty and have an unpleasant smell, making it very uncomfortable to stay in. To make matters worse, the toilet was broken and leaking throughout my visit. Overall, it was a disappointing and frustrating experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not terrible but needs work.

Staff is unhappy and speak very little to no zero English at all, so that makes things difficult. They also take 1000 bht from you as a damage deposit. The swim up bars are boring as hell and they treat smokers like cockroaches. Breakfast is blah blah and not delicious. But over all the place is nice, really good tropical surroundings and many pools to choose from. All in all a pretty good value and not a bad place. Barely anyone eats there and there must be a reason for it.

We stayed in a room with pool access. Best decision we made. After spending the day out in the humid weather it was a blessing to step out of the room and straight into the pool. Breakfast every morning was filling and selection of foods to eat was massive and varied and the staff in the dining room were friendly and seemed to know who we were the first morning there. Domestic staff, who you see everyday, were wonderful and seemed happy to help when needed outside of just cleaning rooms. We will be looking at coming back for another holiday.

as far as accommodations in Kata Beach, it is a great value. it's only a short walk to the beach and it has plenty of parking which parking is hard to find in Kata. 15 minute taxi ride to Patong Beach. very family friendly and not crowded like Patong Beach. definitely better for families.

We loved our stay at Kata palm resort. Three awesome pools. Breakfast had many options. We were able to walk to most shops we needed. The staff were lovely.
We had originally booked into the royal blue wing, however it is quite a walk to the restaurants and the street, so we moved closer in, the staff facilitated the move with grace.

We recommend paying the extra for the pool access room which was nice.
The pool is massive though on the cooler side compared to other pools in Thailand.
We were able to check in early, which was appreciated.

I was here for a couple of nights in December, their peak season. I stayed in a room with pool access which was amazing.

The pool is gorgeous, and I can see that it is cleaned everyday and the gardens are tidied. The view is beautiful. The pool area is quite aesthetic and a great place to come and relax when you are tired of the beach which is nearby.

Kata beach is within walkable distance but you can also take the shuttle from the hotel. At night the street is very lively with shops going along the main street.

Inside the room it was a bit dated and could do with a refresh. There was black mould stains on the interior decorations like the cushions. There was a bath inside the bathroom I probably wouldn't bathe in. I don't think that the showers are cleaned very well. Not the worst bathroom but also not the shiny hotel room that you would expect in the west. It does the job and is in liveable condition. I can say the water pressure is also fine.

The swim up pool was great, but whole kata area is really crowded and you need to get through busy street to get to the beach. As cleanness goes Kids Club was quite dirty and baby chair saw better time so paint was peeling off. Otherwise room and pools were nice and clean. One another issue was door to pool did not close properly and was probably open for long before we came since when we arrived room was already full of mosquitoes

We really Liked the room. Very large with great balcony. comfortable bed. AC worked very well. The dining area for breakfast was lovely and the food served was prepared well with lots of variety. Coffee machines were great with options for cappuccino.
The hotel lobby staff were friendly and helpful. The tour guide desk by front door provided lots of help with ideas and suggestions for tours.

The shower didn’t work well. One shower head was broken. One was partially plugged. However reported it and they came right away to fix it. Unfortunately it still wasn’t working properly afterwards.
Overall it’s a great hotel and would definitely stay again.

Hotel had 2 restaurants, but there was no menu's or any information to premote them . The hotel had only bar's near the pool's which closed at about 6.00pm,there was nowhere have a quiet drink with friends after that.

This a lovely resort..The resort is a traditional Thai setting set around the beautiful and gardens and one of best set out pools in Thailand.. I would totally recommend a pool acess pool for your stay . There's mini mart just outside resort with restaurants markets and 400 metres to beach .. Kata area is great for families and couples who Don't what the circus of Patong..

Kata Palm is real relaxing with an amazing pool. The staff is friendly and attentive. The hotel is located 10min from the beach. The breakfast buffet has a wide spread on food (Thai and Continental). The street in front of the hotel is busy with tourist, shopping and restaurants.

It's very conveniently located if you ask me. Free Shuttle service to the beach must be really for the elderly, as it is only a short and pleasent walk away.
They took deposit in cash for some reason, fortunately I wasn't completely out and didn't have to walk out of the hotel to find an atm (there is one very closeby though, just head right after you leave the hotel)
Our room very quiet, despite the busy location.
The lady at the reception who checked us in, wasnt nice at all and her English was difficult as well.
Not a hotel for whiney pickers expecting a Shangri-La experience. 4.2/5

Beautiful hardworking staff. Beautiful pools. Lush tropical vegetation makes this place such a beautiful haven, plenty of pool shade, which is why we choose this resort. Nice and quiet, wasn't screaming with kids everywhere which we liked. Beautiful large room with a great view of the pool. Loved the Thai style decor. Place looks a little tired, but I can tell Covid has set the resort back a little, like a lot of the area. Not too far to walk to the beach too. We liked it all.

Two hours later I finally get my room with broken A/C and am awaiting the maintenance man. 30 ish minutes later I requested a different room. Meanwhile, not used to the heat and sweating profusely, they even charged me for the water.

One of the largest and best hotel pools i've been in which was absolutely stunning with the landscaping. The deluxe room was huge. Staff were helpful. My biggest issue was the pool shutting slightly top early and it was sliiiiiightly further from the beach than looked on the map as you have to walk along the road to the beach (my fault for not checking!)

Hotel is in a great location in Kata. It is close to the beach and surrounded by places to eat and get a massage. There are very few sun loungers around the pool for the number of rooms so beware to be up VERY early if you want to get one. Also slightly disappointed with the room. The hotel has clearly spent a lot of money on decor but simple things didn't work like the shower and bathroom sink drainage was poor so the shower flooded the bathroom. TV signal was fuzzy and muffled and the room cleanliness was not great when arrived. All in all not a bad place to spend a couple days in Phuket.

Location was good. Pool area was good. Rooms were dated, a little dusty but clean and as pictured so overall good value for money. Breakfast was good. The service let this hotel down massively - we shouldn't have had to argue for hours with reception to get them to acknowledge their aircon systems had failed in our block, after lots of snippy comments from their staff about \"it is impossible\" they finally accompanied us to our room and yes, it really was broken, as was the aircon in the rooms next door. The air con system totally broke for the block of rooms we were on. We got moved to another room eventually. It was 4 unhappy hours I'll never get back and a waste of my time and holiday. Then the mozzy spraying turning the hotel into a stinky post apocalyptic scene (with no warning) and the fire alarm at 2am (faulty system apparently) followed by explosions (faulty electric transformers) and 4am gunfire (which may have been illegal fireworks). We we're really glad to move hotels... For us, this hotel was one disaster after another.

Check in process was smooth and quick. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The decor of the resort, pool area, lobby, suites had more of a traditional tone and was absolutely beautiful. The layout of the pool area was very unique. I also loved how the pool was surrounded by frangipani trees, which naturally decorated the water with its beautiful flowers.

Something I was unhappy about were the mosquitoes. Despite their efforts in trying to eliminate them, the whole resort was infested with them. Being an individual who naturally attracts mosquitoes, I ended up with over 15 bites over 3 nights.
Another downside of this resort would be its lack of natural lighting. Perhaps due to the fact that it is surrounded by trees, the room are extremely dark - even on a sunny afternoon. it would be amazing if there could be more lighting in these dimly lit rooms.

There is construction at the adjacent property on the right going from 8am till 8pm which is very loud. We got upgraded to a room a little further in but still on the same side. It made the sound less noticable, otherwise it is quite disturbing even with the door closed.

Nightly rate is too high for what you get

The hotel staff were great and accommodating. However, the hotel is very outdated and overpriced for what you get. Other hotels on the same street are new, nicer and cheaper. The hotel's breakfast is standard, but the pool is a major plus (I would recommend the pool access rooms). Because of the great staff the hotel has potential to be a great one, but some major renovations need to be taken.

We had a fantastic week at Kata Palm Resort.
We were lucky to have a pool access room, with a small private area right next to the pool - no fighting over a spot and plenty of shade to lounge around in (unfortunately the wifi was a bit dodgy outside the room). The pools themselves were very big and well maintained. Although it was peak season the resort never seemed overly crowded.
Service was generally good, although some of the employees' English was not as good as it could have been.
The room was very clean, and housekeeping did a good job of keeping it that way. Decor-wise, though, it was a bit dated.
Breakfast was more than adequate, if the same every day, and the location about ten miutes walk from Kata Beach was great.
Overall we were extremely happy with our stay and would gladly go back to Kata Palm should we visit Phuket again.

2nd stay with this hotel and just as Fantastic!

The Team @ Kata Palm are just Amazing especially the Lovely Khun *Pauline! Our welcome back was gorgeous and made us feel very special indeed! :)
The area of Kata and especially this Resort catered to our needs, both this time as a couple and also our last visit to Thailand as a family. The Pool is lovely, the breakfast and breakfast area are a great way to start the day! The rooms are spacious and comfortable (although possibly ask for a mattress topper beforehand if a hard mattress is not your thing, Thailand is known for their hard mattresses). The staff are always so very welcoming and accommodating whether it be the cleaners, the bar staff, the waiters/waitresses or the front desk staff!

Also Mr T and his team at the tour desk are wonderful, accomodating, and very informative!

Thankyou so much to the team @ KataPalmResort&Spa for yet another wonderful stay!

Great relaxing break

The Kata Palm Resort was an ideal place for a relaxing break. The room was comfortable and the pool access was a lovely feature. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurants was good and everything was reasonably priced. The hotel is well located for the shops, bars and restaurants of Kata Beach and both beaches are within walking distance; the quieter southern beach is well worth the extra effort. The only downside of our stay was the mosquitoes but they are everywhere in Thailand! There are more upmarket hotels in the area but Kata Palm offers excellent value for money and we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful hotel, close to all amenities

Lovely hotel, beautiful pools, very lush, scenic and relaxing. They were refurbishing when we arrived, so lots of noise during our stay however, they did apologise and it didn't distract our enjoyment. Staff extremely friendly, rooms cleaned daily, pool/beach towels replaced daily, shuttle bus every 1/2 hour to the beach, walking only 5 mins if you don't mind running the gauntlet of taxi's, restaurants, street food, massage parlours, tailors etc, but all part of the Thai experience.
The Hotel does a great all you can eat buffet for 450 bahts each on Fridays with entertainment. Tip 1: avoid using hotel taxi, very expensive. Compare and barter prices with Taxi's on the street or pending nature of trip take the bus , 40 baths to Phuket Town or a Tuk tuk - great experience but similar price as a taxi. Tip 2: Bring medication for tummy troubles - Dehli (Thai) belly is common. Tip 3: Southern part of Kata Beach was our favourite, greta drinking spots and a real bohemian, relaxed, chilled out feel. Tip 4: If you like snorkelling don't holiday during the rainy season. Snorkelling experience is limited due to debris in the water. Tip 5: Learn basic Thai words, hello, thank you etc, they really appreciate you making the effort.

Never staying here again!

Check in was painful and long. Wifi does not work in the room, only in lobby and around the pool. The mosquitos where really bad, my shower had years of soap scum build up and grout missing. Breakfast options where poor, staff seemed like they didn’t care. No refund was offered. Very disappointed with my stay here, I was meant to stay for 4 nights and checked out after the first night it was that bad

Good location and family friendly

We stayed for five nights and loved it. Location is excellent and The staff were very helpful and friendly. We also got the breakfast buffet each morning which was good and meant we had one less thing to worry about. The pool space is fantastic and is definitely needed even in the \"rainy season\". Would definitely recommend especially if you have children.

Traditional Thai style hotel, with modern comforts

,Very relaxed atmosphere, staff were so friendly, facilities were great, best pool ever, restaurant meals excellent, buffet breakfast varied and well presented. Day trips were easily organised, front desk staff extremely efficient and helpful.
