I chose this property because it was popular and close to my in-laws. Everyone gives it raving reviews, so I booked my reservation months ago.
I was also told by former employees that this place used to be Better and it is now way different from how it used to be before. I’ve had minor issues leading up to the actual day of staying at the hotel but that did not matter because I already made up my mind to stay there however, I did not enjoy my stay for the most part. The rooms are not soundproof, every night I heard a couple being intimate that was annoying. Also, people coughing and using the bathroom.. The phones in the room do not work, nor does the balcony light. TV remote did not work, nor the button to the TV,. Breakfast is repetitive and limited. My room seen better days, I feel it was very dirty in my opinion. For the hotel to be luxury, for me, it did not feel like it. I wanted to ask the front desk can I change my room on the first day that I got there but they seemed unapproachable like you may be bothering them, so me not want to be that person who complains, I just spent my nights sleeping there sometimes and the rest of the time with my in-laws because it is what it is. I wouldn’t suggest this hotel to a friend who staying in Hammamet. But again this is just my experience. Maybe somebody else will have a better room that’s more clean and doesn’t it feel cramped and stuffy. I was there for nine nights.

The hotel looks nice we were bothered by two factors:
1- zero privilege as gold members. They refused to give an upgrade even though the hotels was not full. The service was too slow. We kept waiting for almost 2 hours to get pool towels and every time we requested one they sounded very rude and indifferent.
2- we were assigned a room where we had 3 RF antennas . As experts in the field we know that was not safe at all and extremely harmful.

Je ne pense pas renouveler mon expérience avec the russelior et je ne pense pas le recommander à quelqu’un de mes connaissances.
Lors d’un séjour de 3 nuitées en demi Pension, et plus spécifiquement dans la soirée du 11 septembre, j’ai demandé au serveur de me donner un verre vide afin de prendre mes pilules après le souper. Je tiens à préciser que j’ai acheté la bouteille d’eau du bar de l’hôtel à un temps ultérieur. La réponse était: NON il m’a dit qu’ il est interdit de me donner un verre vide dans un hôtel 5 étoiles !! J’ai demandé au serveur de parler au chef de salle. J’ai eu la même réponse de ce dernier. Il ne peut pas me donner un verre vide pour prendre mes pilules mêmes si j’ai acheté l’eau du bar de l’hôtel😨 je suis déçu d’un tel service d’un hôtel 5 étoiles. Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel et j’y reviendrai jamais …

This is no way a 5 star hotel- the service is actually shocking. Staff have knowledge of what is actually going on in the hotel in terms of what is and isn’t available to clients.

I requested to speak to management, and given a whole speech and free coffee to make up for a horrible experience!

How is this hotel 5 star?

This hotel is FAR from 5 stars. It took over an hour to check in because reception could not find our reservation. They did little to quickly resolve this and just left us waiting and pretty much did they best to ignore us until we insisted they sort the issue.

The main hotel areas were fine but the corridors were poorly lit, probably to hide the poor and dingy condition. The hotel was fine but also not 5 star condition, wallpaper was peeling, stains on the curtains, finger marks around the mirror. The room was apparently pool view but the glimpse of the pool we could see was actually the pool of the neighbouring hotel. The one plus is the bed was super comfy.

Breakfast was really poor. It was tasteless and the pastries were rock hard.

The pool itself was really nice and seemed clean but the surrounding area was a complete mess. Chairs and loungers just strewn around, all were really dirty too.

I would not stay again and I definitely would not recommend it to anyone.

No perks for Gold members, disappointing..

My second time in the Russelior Hotel;
Things that did not change :
- Food quality, always good.
- Rooms, they are good.
Things that did change :
- Garden is not well maintained as it used to be. Grass is not as green as it used to be and trees are not maintained as they used to be few years ago.
- Hotel partly transformed to a retirement and nursing home hosting Seniors with or without medical assistance. Every Senior person is actually assisted by a nurse. I've seen the same for El Hambra and Saphir Palace, all in the same region.
- The cold welcoming and NO perks despite being a Hotels.com Gold member and the hotel being almost empty (I've kindly asked for the upgrade when booking).
I'm not going back to this property.

It was awesome staying at the Russelior hotel.
This is the first time there and I'll definetely come back at summer time.
The rooms are wonderful, clean and with a great view to the pool. We appreciated the \"Macarons\" present when we entered the room.
We also appreciated the indoor pool and the Gym.
Cosy and peaceful hotel.
Food is also good.

Most staff are kind and attentive. location in Hammamet Yasmine is ideal - rooms are very small for the type of property and there was no initiative to consider giving us a better room even though the facility was literally empty during our stay. Management of the facility seemed to be disconnected with the clientele - Would not visit again, but would not advise against this property. There is a far better offer in terms of service in the region.

I don’t even know where to start... after reading so many good reviews we decided to book this hotel for our first wedding anniversary, and what a disappointment...

- under staffed, we had to wait about 20min to have the food menu by the pool, another 20 for them to take the order
- under staffed, no clean tables to eat, dirty towels everywhere... and it was a big dining room, but all the tables had he dirty places piled with dirty towels, I can’t even put into words
- the so good restaurant that they have ........ just one person serving, so he had no time to prepare the tables or pay attention to the costumers, and again long long waiting time
- napkins is something that is not seen that often, specially because they don’t have time to set up tables
- Their uniforms ..... I have no words to describe how dirty the uniforms were, it is quite unpleasant to have someone preparing or serving you food with such a dirty uniform
- the food was not the best at the hotel, to be honest
- very very overpriced!!!! You can eat sooo much better and for a quarter of the price compared with the hotel. I understand this is a 5star hotel, and I wouldn’t mind pay for it if the service was worth it

We were invited to a friend’s wedding so we booked one night at the Russelior. The room was not ready on time and we waited for 2 hours to check in even though we came two hours after the check in time. We made a reservation months in advance so we assumed that the room will be ready.
The bellman escorted us and he was very professional. The front desk staff were friendly and gave us a late check out at 6pm but they didn’t provide us with information about the hotel and restaurants nor the SPA unless we call and ask.
Any guest will expect an exceptional service from a luxurious 5 stars hotel but that wasn’t the case for us.

Inside the room, the balcony door was blocked so we couldn’t sit outside we didn’t report it because we were busy with the wedding preparations and it wasn’t a big deal. The sad part of all this is that we were exposed to bed bugs during our sleep. As a result, my wife developed a bad reaction to the bedbugs bites which led to itchiness and red welts.

In summary, it was only one night but unfortunately our stay was mediocre and it didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel.

While the facilities in the hotel are new and rather luxurious, we get quickly disappointed by the quality of the service. It begins with slow check in. The rooms lack a complementary coffee service and some basics in a 5 star. We had two double rooms. towels were only for one person and the mini bar was imply empty in both rooms. It was not easy to find a place neither in the pool nor for breakfast. Towels for the pool were dirty and the staff did not have the capacity to respond to a medical emergency. The staff were rather kind but not necessarily with the manners and professionalism needed for a five star. They were too slow to respond to our reqyests. To their credit, they had the good will and it seems that the hotel is under amd not properly staffed.

I spent the greatest 7 days of my vacation in this hotel. Overall every thing was perfect, the hotel is very clean, the staff were very cooperative and friendly especially the chef Lotfi he makes the best pasta ever. The food in general was amazing fresh and tasty. The pool and the garden are spectacular. The lights of the hotel were amazing. I can't wait to come back again.

Was good hotel but needs some updating/repairs to pool and spa areas. Fiberglass pool rocks were showing the fiberglass as the coating had worn away. In the spa both showers in the mens area didn't work. One had no way to turn on water and the other only had scalding hot water and no shower head so you just had a hose to use.

By far the best hotel I've stayed at in Tunisia. Everyone was so accomadating from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Throughout our stay we were always asked if we needed anything at all. I felt like a princess. It is a little pricey but it's worth every penny I promise. This will be our hotel of choice for our next stay in hammamet for sure. We only stayed 4 days but I wish we could've stayed much longer.

The Russelior Hotel & Spa exceeded all expectations.
The experience was brilliant from start to finish. We were greeted by Shokri who took brilliant care of us throughout our time at the hotel. Served with lemon juice upon arrival.. taken on a tour of the hotel & then left to settle into our rooms.
All staff were warm, friendly and very very helpful.
The spa facilities were brilliant.
Generally everyone was very accommodating, the hotel restaurants were opened for us outside of normal opening times if required. Breakfast was delicious - so much variety.
We could not find fault with anything even if we tried!

Outstanding hotel!

This is perhaps the best hotel in Hammamet. The facilities are outstanding and the staff understand the true value of looking after the guests. We had a warm welcome with a refreshing lemon juice, we were offered a bigger room which was available because we were accompanied by two young children. Leila led the welcome and ensured that we were made to feel at home. The gardens were delightful, surrounding the outside swimming pool. The indoor pool was great with jacuzzi, hamman and sauna. We also made use of spa facilities which were excellent value. There is a gym with modern equipment overlooking the outdoor gardens and pool. The two restaurants served fresh and tasty meals. The morning buffet had a wide choice of fresh food and was delicious. Walid, Fakhri and team provided a warm service. All in all a great hotel to relax and unwind in and to use as a base to explore this beautiful country. Geographically Hammamet is near the middle of the country with all cultural and historical sites within easy reach.

GREAT location suited to the Muslin Communities

We were stunned to arrive at the hotel to be told that no wines, beers or spirits were available either at the sumptious bar or the restaurant with meals. This was a serious oversight by the agent Expedia and the Russelior Hotel not to advise potential bookers. We were met at the Airport by the Taxi organised by the agents, whilst the driver was helpful the ageing vehicle had a dreadful smell of cigarettes so we did not rebook the car for our return journey to the airport and asked the hotel to organise transfer with their RUSSELIOR transport. We were highly dissapointed that the same 'smelly' vehicle met us at our departure and most annoyed that without discussion we shared this small soloon car with another passenger who did not share the cost! The hotel is totally suitable for the Muslin Community and their beliefs therefore we would not recommend it to our friends or our customers. The staff were superb the worst and only complaint about the hotel was that they played the same brainwashing CD music every breakfast and evening meal time for the duration of our 7 night stay despite asking for it to be changed, one waiter advising us it was the same in the 3 years he had worked at Russelior!!

I had a short break at this hotel. It was everything I was looking for. Relaxing, peaceful, staff very attentive and good service. Amazing and very large free-form infinity pool. Excellent spa facilities which I used every day. Website says there are golf buggies running to the beach but perhaps that's just in the height of summer - they weren't running when I was there, but the beach is only 5 minutes walk, if that. Some noise from a neighbouring hotel was a little intrusive in the evening but there's nothing that can be done by this hotel, and it usually stopped by 11pm. Don't hold that against a stay here! Anyone staying here needs to know it doesn't serve or allow alcohol at all, or smoking inside. Great for a detox break - I definitely hope to return.

Amazing hotel that can not be faulted

You genuinely can not fault this hotel whatsoever - The staff are amazing, the room incredible, and the facilities incomparable.
I regularly stay in great hotels around the world and this is honestly one of the best and unbelievable when it comes to value... The swimming pool area is alone out of this world, with sunlougers I have never seen before that are beyond comfortable and never not available. The two restaurants provide great food 100% of the time and the staff were amazing with our 2 yr old daughter, always saying hello and welcoming her throughout the hotel.

Je suis très déçu

Je n’ai pas eu un cap de bain ni des claquettes
Le restaurant pour le petit déjeuner j’étais très déçu peu de choix la viennoiserie était pas bonne très sec…
La plage était loin, il fallait prendre une navette le truc que je n’ai pas aimé car j’attendais trop longtemps la navette
La piscine était pas grande, c’était Petit pas assez transat car l’hôtel était rempli
Pas d’ambiance dans l’hôtel, c’était vraiment naze, je n’ai pas aimé du tout
En plus j’ai payé cher, pour que au final je passe quatre jours horrible…

Une odeur désagréable des égouts dans les chambres nous empêche de profiter dea nourriture n'est pas fraîche, peu de qualité de produits et non diversifiée...
Pas d'animation, trop calme.

Hôtel très propre et vraiment magnifique j‘ai l’habitude de venir depuis très longtemps et la qualité n’a pas changé.
Une pensée particulière à Hiba et Imen pour leurs service impeccable et leurs gentillesses.

Pas d’eau dans la chambre a 30 degrés pas de serviette a la piscine room service sans téléphone qui ne marche pas, pas de gel douche au restaurant 3 salières pour 400 couvert pas de sel pas de poivre 4 et 5 eme étoile bien acheté 😭 et j’en passe..pension complete eau pas compris ni aucune soda d’ailleurs fuite dans la salle de bain pas de dinars pour faire du change bon en gros une catastrophe etc etc

Maravilloso trato del personal, muy serviciales y atentos. Nos dieron una suite de mayor nivel, al no coincidir las fotos de la suite que habíamos reservado que estaba puestas con la habitación que nos habían dado. Quería felicitar por lo gran profesional, atenta y servicial. Y sobretodo el detalle de darnos una suite de mayor nivel a la señorita Imen.

Loin d'être un 5 étoiles

Loin d'un 5 étoile.

J'ai séjourné à l'hôtel The Russelior et mon expérience a été très décevante.
Tout d'abord, le service était très médiocre. J'avais réservé et payé pour une chambre avec vue sur la piscine, mais on m'a donné une chambre différente sans explications ni excuses.

De plus, les assiettes de la cuisine n'étaient pas propres, il y avait des résidus de nourriture, ce qui est inacceptable pour un hôtel de cette catégorie. L'accès à l'eau était également limité, ce qui est très inconfortable pour les clients.

Enfin, le petit déjeuner ferme à 10h, et si vous arrivez à 9h30, il ne reste presque plus rien à manger. C'est vraiment frustrant et montre un manque d'organisation de la part de l'hôtel.

Je ne recommanderais pas cet hôtel et je ne reviendrai certainement pas.

Séjour 3 nuits

Arrivé à 4 h du matin la compréhension pour le parking était un peu compliqué. Pas vraiment d explications Sur le fonctionnement de l hôtel des service et des horaire de repas . Chambre propre tout les équipement fonctionnel. Il faut savoir que la Clim ne fonctionne pas quand la porte fenêtre du balcon est ouvert . La piscine est super le dérivé de repas est un self le petit déjeuner au top et le dîner sympa prendre en compte que les boissons sont en extra. La nuit une ballade autour de la piscine est vraiment magnifique. L hôtel est assez calme . Séjour de 3 nuit vraiment sympa les commerces sont à 3 min en voiture et 17 à pied . Les employés répondent au demande autant qu ils peuvent. La femme de ménage travail bien et aucun souci de vol . Franchement très bon séjour je recommande et reviendrai.

Très mauvaise vue, quand j’ai demandé à l’accueil de changer la chambre sachant qu’il n’y a pas trop de monde à l’hôtel, la dame m’a répondu que c’est normal car on a payé le prix le moins cher pour une chambre standard (580dt/la nuitée) !!
