Avoid! Definitely not a 5 stars! Pictures online are made up. Rooms were old, mouldy bathrooms, dirty bed linen. The buffet was disgusting with cheap products and some recycled for next meals!!!!

I have been at this “resort” before in 2012 and it was way different, this time around the place is almost unrecognizable, unquantified, unexperienced and stressed out lobby staff, skeleton crew during peak season, rooms are dirty and outdated. I can go on and on about the broken locks, locked safe, clogged sinks, broken fridge, it was the worst experience I have had in years!!! The place still have potential but it will need a whole new management and staff. It is probably a two star hotel at best but I do not recommend this place at this time even to an enemy!!! I was about to leave after 24 hours, but I just did not want to upset my wife or my mother doing so. Stay away!! You are better off at a 2 star place. I usually do not give bad reviews but I found it necessary this time because I would not want to see someone paying top money for a worthless place.

Outstanding customer service and warm welcoming friendly staff, the Hotel got 3 beautiful big outdoor pools with a straight access to the beach, fun attractions and activities on the daily, clean restaurants with amazing variety of food in breakfast and dinner. Rooms are spacious and luxurious for a 5 stars Hotel. Great location,private clean and secure beach with 5 minutes walking distance to the Marina and the city of Yasmine Hammamet.

Hotel was brilliant albeit the rooms were very dated. Had a few issues (water leaking from the toilet, shower drain permanently closed, hair dye on towels) but most of the issues were resolved in a somewhat efficient manor. Staff were really polite, most spoke English to some degree, all of the faces were friendly and approachable.

Le Royal is indeed Royal, so much marble and grandeur in the main building, our room was very nice, the staff are very friendly and the breakfast was good. Great hammam and spa area and great access to the beach. Will definitely stay again when next in Hammamet and I can highly recommend to other trsvellers

I liked the how nice was the hotel as well as its location which was just perfect. The hotel is nicely built and equipped with great air conditioning and comfy linings. I enjoyed the meals however we had to pay for water and soft drinks at souper time. The staff was very kind and very easy to talk to. The exchange rate at the hotel was one of the best. In the other hand I was not really happy with the separated twin beds we had and we couldn’t get a replacement because the hotel was fully booked. Overall, everything was great, we didn’t bring the kids and I don’t really recommend it for families because other than the swimming pool there is not much for family activities.

All the staff was very polite decent food & quick service but the hotel don’t have shuttle & you have to catch a taxi each time well this hotel i Recomended for the families only not for group of friends coz in hammamet there’s not much to do apart from few Activities I recommend Djerba & Sousse.

I was impressed as my taxi pulled up they the grounds , the interior was quote modern with a huge marble atrium and staircase with a fountain
The food was an excellent buffet and the restaurant manager and waiting staff were eager to please as were the desk staff

The hotel is tired as is most of Hammamet, such a difference over the last three years and not for the better. Hotel room and cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Sink leaked comstantly and bed linen looked like it had been salvaged from the Titanic. This place is two star at best. I would not recommend to someone I dislike.

This hotel is definitely not even a 1 Star hotel. Filthy dirty from lobby through corridors and in rooms. An out of scale embarrassment to Tunisia and its tourism. We had to cancel our booking and leave the hotel immediately after we checked in the room. It seems that most of Tunisia hotels are like this one and worst.

Le Royal Hotel in Hammamet is a nice 4 star (not 5) hotel, set on the beach, within a 10 minute walk of the Yasmine marina. The hotel relies on it's original facilities like a nice pool area, but is in need of some small upgrades. Our doors to patio didn't lock and were a little tatty. The air con failed to function properly after 2 days, although I fixed by leaving it off for several hours. The buffet food was ok but much the same each day. The staff were a bit rigid and certainly not 5 star when it came to the extras expected of 5 star. We were half board. I asked to swap one day's dinner for a lunch because it was our wedding anniversary. We were instantly responded to with \"it's not possible\". Overall though, value for money. Lunches outside hotel were cheap, drinks not expensive, good weather and quiet surroundings for a mid season 4 day break.

Upon arrival was made to fill in forms for each adult which took ages. Thereafter was told I must pay £50 a day extra for the children aged 4 even though they were going to use existing bedding. Wasn't given sea view, far from it. Couldn't be bothered complaining at reception as they were always moody and grumpy especially the lady apparently duty manager. Hotel was nice and clean. Gardens were beautifully maintained. Breakfast and dinner was good. Rest of the staff were nice. Location was a half an hours walk to the Madina (Market)

The hotel was absolutely great especially at the price through expedia.
The garden and grounds are beautiful and so well kept.
The buffet breakfast was a feast in itself.
The the acces to the private beach is a simple very pleasant walk past yet another outdoor swimming pool.
It was off season so not all the facilities were available but as I said at the price it was a most enjoyable stay and I intend to go back in the new year.
The zone is very peaceful.
La Boullabaise restuarant just up the road near the marina is a must .Fantastic food and service.
Its possible to walk there in 15 minutes and the marina and other restaurants are just around the corner.
A really classy experience and for me was worth every penny I paid.

A good place for all tastes

It is a good hotel, good value for money; the breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet are really good; there are several swimming pools well equipped and it has its own beach; sun loungers are always available and you are provided with beach and swimming pool towels. The staff is kind and friendly. The standard room is no luxury but it is good and functional. It is a place that is fine for families, couples or even group of friends, there was a vast variety of guests, of various nationalities. The staff (but everyone in Tunisia really) speaks an incredible number of languages, it is impressive. The only downside is that it is not right in the centre of Yasmine Hammamet (Yasmine is much better than Hammamet itself), so you have to walk at least 20 minutes to get to the buzzing area near the Medina, but if you don't mind that then Le Royal is really a good place to be.

the private beach was fantastic! our two days at this hotel were very relaxing, and we had a great time. it's pretty far outside of the town, but it's a very short and cheap cab ride into the center. the hotel is beautiful, with clean rooms and a helpful staff. the buffet was even good!

J'ai dû payer un supplément car il n'y avait que des suites disponibles. Au final, l'état de la suite est déplorable. Malgré la compétences et gentillesse des personnes présentes au spa, il faut absolument revoir la qualité des installations. Assiette de fruits était tout sauf fraîche, saletés sous le lit, poussière sur certains meubles, la 2eme télé ne fonctionnait pas, l'odeur dans la salle de bain n'était pas agréable,... Très déçus

Mauvaise odeur et climatiseur en pannedans les chamnres communicantes. Changement de chambres: vue sur les toits de lacuisine et restaurant donc odeur dela.cuisine. le climatiseur est très bruillon. Les draps ne sont pas donnés que sur demande. Cerise sur le gâteau, les gens ne sont pas.traités de la même manière. On a pas le droit de se baigner dans une piscine en bourkini alors on peut le faire dansla piscine centrale. Les règles ne sont pas claires et n'est affiché pour l'interdir. Tout est officieu. Bref, un mauvais souvenir de vacances. Afficher pour interdir oui, interdir pour les uns et pas pour les autres non. Beaucoup de choses à améliorer dans ce très beau hôtel: l'honnêteté, la sincérité et des règles affichées et applicables à tout le monde.e monde change et il semble qu'il préfère le retour des touristes que cette nouvelle clientèle d origine arabo musulmane.

Our stay was overall average except for the last interaction with the security guard called Hassen at the front door who was really impolite and unnecessarily agressive when we were leaving the hotel. He just ruined my day. It's a shame that the hotel has many really nice employees and at the same time some truly horrible elements. Overall I don't recommend this hotel and I will not go back to it.

Il nostro soggiorno è stato fantastico, ci siamo trovati molto bene in questo hotel che ha davvero il suo charm, la hall è molto bella. Nonostante fosse gennaio, durante il weekend l'hotel si è riempito di tunisini e questo ha reso sia la colazione che la cena troppo caotica, ma penso sia sempre a causa del concetto buffet( prendo tutto ma poi mangio la metà, tantissimi sprechi!) per cui quando siamo arrivati (un'ora dopo l'inizio della cena o colazione) già non c'era più nulla e non abbiamo trovato nemmeno un tavolo appparecchiato, abbiamo dovuto chiedere. Oltre a questo piccolo intoppo, il resto della vacanza è sempre stato ottimo. Il cibo è buono e molto vario, le camere erano sempre rifatte e pulite per bene( ringrazio di cuore la signora delle pulizie che è sempre stata disponibile, gentile e sorridente con noi). L'esterno è bellissimo, le piscine e la spiaggia privata. D'estate deve essere proprio il posto ideale dove trascorrere le proprie ferie. Sicuramente torneremo in questo hotel.

Wir wollten 3 entspannte Tage in diesem Hotel genießen und Buchten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick und Frühstück. Am Parkeingang wurde unser Auto kurz kontrolliert, was alles vollkommen richtig und einem ein sicheres Gefühl gab. Wir parkten und rollten unseren Koffer bis zur Rezeption. Eine Dame, die wohl schlecht drauf war, begrüßte uns kurz und verschwand mit unseren Ausweisen ohne uns zu informieren was Sie tat. Es dauerte 1 ca 10 min bis Sie endlich den Kopierer bedient hat und aus dem Büro raus kam. Im Zimmer kamen die erwarteten Überraschungen nach dem wir uns schon an der Rezeption am grübeln waren. Kein Meerblick, absolut verstecktes Zimmer, Duscharmatur fehlte der Hebel, Waschbecken und Wanne verstopft, Internet ohne funktion..Wir gingen sofort zur Rezeption und wollten den Direktor sprechen. Nachdem wir ihm alles geschildert haben zuckte er nur mit den Schultern als wäre es ganz normal. Wir baten ihm unser Geld zurück zugeben um ein anderes Hotel zu nehmen. Ein anderer Mitarbeiter schlug vor uns ei anderes Zimmer zu geben da alle Zimmer mit Meerblick nicht frei waren. Und eine Info an alle, es gibt kein Meerblick, es sind lediglich 6 Zimmer die auf der dritten Etage sind mit eingeschränktem Meerblick, das Meer ist einfach zu weit weg und die Sicht wird durch die Palmen versperrt. Also spart euch die Meerblick Option! Das neue Zimmer, auch dort kein Meerblick, defekter Safe, Bluttropfen auf dem Boden, Dusche Defekt, Lichter Defekt, allgemein verdrecktes Zimmer! NEVER EVER

Not what we expected...

Very beautiful hotel but we couldn’t sleep well as we found a lot of mosquitoes in the bedroom... The smell inside was no good, and we couldn’t open the door (for the garden) because we were afraid to get more mosquitoes. The guy who had to give us the towels for the piscine came at 10am, so no possibility to swim before that (the piscine “opens” at 7am). So, we think to not come again to this hotel...

Un séjour plutôt un calvaire des l'arrivé en premier ils.ont voulu me faire paie encore que j'ai déjà paie sur le site après début de la galère des chambre infecte pas de linge porte d'entrée non fonctionnelle clim en panne ect.......
Alore la le personnel non professionnels et dépasse pour les événements pour une poignée de touriste piscine intérieure ferme espace sale une hôtel qui mérite même pas une étoile à évité

Mooi hotel, goede service

Mooi hotel, goede service, veel spa mogelijkheden, verwarmd binnen zwembad, dus ook bij minder mooi weer goed te doen, ruime keuze bij het eten. Wat een beetje tegen viel was de toilet, deuren waren niet breed genoeg voor de rolstoel. Maar ook daar kwam een oplossing voor in de zin van een stoel om over te stappen en toch zelfstandig naar het toilet.

Soggiorno fantastico e senza imprevisti

L'esperienza vissuta in Tunisia e' stata meravigliosa e senza nessun imprevisto. Ci torneremo sicuramente per un soggiorno piu' lungo. La consigliamo a tutti voi ma non formalizzatevi sulle condizioni di pulizia a cui siamo abituati noi europei. Buone vacanze!!

En face de la plage des piscines et du jardin

Hôtel calme et sécurisé au milieu d’un beau jardin en face de la plage . En cette période de novembre la chaleur et le soleil ont permis de nager et bronzer sur une grande plage déserte avec les passages des chameaux pour faire une promenade . L’hotellerie Est bien à condition d’avoir une chambre ou une suite qui ont vue sur la mer. J’ai été à nouveau surclassé en suite ambassadeur suite de 55 m2 bien équipée. Attention aux chambres standards elles sont derrières et mal situées selon le cas ! Dans ce cas choisir l’hotel Mouradi ou Solarium ou marina palace ! L’hotellerie Est bonne et la restauration très correcte ! Seul bémol la réception très peu coopérative . Mais si vous signalez les dysfonctionnements à la direction cela s'arrange immmediatement . Il y a un spa et une piscine couverte peu chaude et trop petite . Un peu éloigné du centre l’hotel Est mal desservi par les taxis donc les transports en communs . Le transfert de l’hotel Est excessif , s’adresser et recommander la réservation par internet avec »taxi mami « taxi ssûr et sérieux en Tunisie pour les transferts . Un bémol l’hotel N’a pas tenu ses promesses comme l’an dernier où j’avais pu jouer sur le piano suite au sabotage de la réception et malgré l’accord de la direction . On s’embete Dans l’hôtel le soir car aucun spectacle intéressant ou distrayant n’est proposé et pas de discothèque ni d’animateur car avec 10 ou 15 personnes on peut s’amuser . Cela dit un bon séjour sans encombre et parfait pour le repos .
