The distance to the centre is not accurate comparing the website.
If you hire a car , it can b3 a short distance to the centre however by walk it’s a good 25/30 min up hills with steps.
Exiting the hotel there are lots of steps and in few min you get buses A/B/C to station and close to centre.Breakfast is basic and shower is tiny but equal on the price I paid.
I would recommend if you bite a car

7 nights at Hotel Ilgo

In the first days it was extremely cold in the hotel.
The staff was friendly and made an effort to solve all the problems, including the cold in the room (due to the crisis, it was forbidden in Italy to turn on the heat). The hotel was full of guests and, on the first nights, they gave us extra blankets. After three days, the problem was solved by changing the room.
I had an emergency and needed to work on the computer one night. They provide me with one computer and Internet access.
Outside of the hours when guests were allowed access, they allowed us to sit in the dining room and served us hot tea.
The rooms were very clean and the cleaning staff very attentive.

Horrible experience. No sound isolation between rooms - the guest in the room next door had an alarm snoozing every 10 minutes from 5am to 7am. Don't stay there if you need a proper night of sleep.

The room smelt of a cheap sanitiser, I guess it was at some stage a smoking room. The room was clean, but it was completely tattered, it was ready for a refurb. Even with the ac at 30 Celsius it was cold. Breakfast was ordinary, stale bread and watered down orange juice. Location at the bottom of a valley was cold and dark. On the other hand it was not very expensive, but nothing is in Italy this time of year, however it was the most overpriced and charmless hotel i stay in so far.

The hotel staff was really great, friendly, and everyone eager to help with anything. The hotel is in a nice secluded area and the shuttle service in the morning and the afternoon/evening helped a lot (thank you, Andrea) but in fact a 20-minute walk from the hotel to the city centre was nice as well. So, I found the location of the hotel perfect! Would recommend it to anyone coming to Perugia!!

Modest Setting, Genuinely Kind Staff

Ilgo is outside the old walls. Their van takes you to and from the Etruscan Gate in 5 minutes, on time. The hotel is small, 4 floors, with views of nearby homes perched hillside. It has a good chef and we enjoyed excellent dinners reasonably priced. Fabrizio and Natalia at the reception desk could not have been more helpful. This is not a fancy place but is a great value.

Decent, pleasant hotel.

A little far out from the centre, but with free regular shuttle. 20 min walk back - downhill. Rooms good with small balconies. A little dated but popular with all sorts. Shaded in trees and in a steep valley with pleasant views. On site restaurant with changing menu. Very helpful staff. Parking for those with cars.

Great place to visit Perugia's historic center

Although the hotel is a bit older, it is well maintained and clean. Rooms are spacious. Plenty of parking; breakfast was decent, and the attached restaurant served a nice dinner. Walking distance to the historic center of Perugia is about 20min; mostly up. The hotel provides a limited shuttle service into the center. Nice sitting area outside.
Wifi was occasionally a bit slow in the rooms but I was able to watch a soccer game life in the foyer. If I go back and remember it, I will book it again.

Fantastic value!!

I stayed here with my mum for just over two weeks as I was looking for somewhere to live in the city. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the neighbourhood seemed good. The only downside was the location as it was about a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Perugia however the shuttle bus rus everyday except Sunday. The food in the restaurant was a reasonable price and very nice. I'd happily go back there anytime and recommed it!!

Nice hotel within walking distance of the old city. Free parking and good quality wifi was a bonus. Breakfast was pretty standard but the coffee was a definite disappointment - an instant Nescafe machine rather than the lovely Italian coffee I'd grown used to.

The hotel is approximately 1-km away the center. There is a hotel shuttle to the center at certain times each day. But the latest shuttle service from the city was in the early evening, which gave not enough time to have dinner in the center. The hotel restaurant is open until 21:15, which we didn't try. At first, it was difficult for us to find its place, we recommend you to get the directions in advance. Free car-parking and free wi-fi services are pleasant. There were some big group tours staying at this hotel during our 4-day stay, the people from these tours were making lots of noisy conversations at late hours in the nights in the outdoor sitting area. Since our room was just above this conversation area, we had difficulties in sleeping.

A hotel that lets you enjoy your Athens experience

The hotel is all that the practical traveller needs, it is very clean, the breakfast is outstanding, the staff are really what makes the hotel so pleasant, they are very obliging and go out of their way to be of assistance and to make sure your stay and experience of Athens is maximised. The hotel has a bar and has dining facilities.The location is good; if you are reasonably fit you can walk to all the major tourist destinations, along flat streets. If public transport is needed, the hotel is near a major transport hub in Omonia Square. Close by there is a choice of reasonably inexpensive eateries. The free Wi Fi is great. There was some noise in the room from outside, at times quite loud, but that did not detract from the stay. If you are looking for a large flat screen TV, you won't find one; but you are not there to watch television.The bathrooms are small and the shower stall did not have a curtain or glass enclosure, so showering became a skill if flooding the bathroom floor was to be avoided. Again this was not an major issue for us. On balance the good far out weighed the bad. We intend to return and would recommend the hotel

It was one of the coldest weekends in Italy and we were freezing. The conditioner in the room wasn't enough to warm us up.
However, water in the shower was hot as well as having 4 blankets partially compensated inconvenience resulted from the temperature in the room.

Stayed 2 nites.Enjoyed 1st night;clean spacious room,nice bed&bathroom.People working at reception very nice,courteous,efficient; especially ROBERTO.
Unfortunately, a (football?) team checked in the 2nd night...constant traffic, knocking and slamming of doors, movement of furniture and voices kept us from sleeping the next night due to thin walls.
Might have been nice if management had kept large groups on a separate floor as it was a period of obvious low occupancy.
Although far from the train station(an 11 Euro taxi ride)the shuttle provided by the hotel to the historical center(fabulous!) mitigated some of the problem of being neither near the train station nor the wonderful Centro Storico.

great hotel with even greater staff!

Super friendly reception. Knowledgeable and helpful. A great welcome. My room was spacious and clean. No view out the window but very quiet. Decor not modern but has everything you need including hair dryer in bathroom. The hotel is located on one side of town (not the side where the train station is - I took a taxi from there for about 10 euros). They put on an hourly free shuttle into town (and back - until 2am at night!) during the Umbria Jazz Festival (which was fantastic btw, well worth visiting Perugia for). I was very impressed with that. Breakfast was great too, nice buffet with a good spread. Would definitely stay there again.

Helpful staff, free shuttle transport to the centre although we didn't use it, but necessary if wet or you don't like walking uphill (about 20/25 minutes to the centre). Good breakfast, restaurant good if a little pricey. Good choice of music in reception.

CENTRAL LOCATION To UMBRIA

Hotel is centrally located, for daily drive trips, however, it would be very difficult to find without GPS. Fulfills what most traveler's are looking for i.e free breakfast, free parking and free internet. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. There is a free shuttle into Perugia. Rooms are clean but a little dated. Nice balcony. It might be a bit noisy for some as it is a busy place with a lot of groups coming and going. The restaurant is OK! Perugia is very difficult to drive through, make sure you have GPS or you know where your going!

Very reasonable friendly hotel

Good location 15-20 mins walk into the very centre, it's a nice walk too so you get to see some of the city. The hotel also run a mini bus service into the city centre in the evenings to save you the walk.

Room was clean and good size. Breakfast was standard, but perfectly good. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

In this price bracket it's definitely a good place to stay in a very nice city.

At first glance this hotel may disappoint because it has a slightly shabby appearance but do not be put off. Our room was excellent - great bed and very clean especially the bathroom.

We arrived late in the evening at Hotel Ilgo by taxi. As we were driving there, through the dark and the fog, it was hard to tell exactly where we were. The hotel is at the bottom of a hill and we thought we had arrived at a location far from the historic center of Perugia. When we woke up the next morning and looked out of our window, we looked up at the histori area above us. With the transportation provided by the hotel, the center was only minutes from the hotel. In fact, after exploring historic Perugia, we returned by bus and walked down to the hotel without any problem at all. Great5 location, great price and great staff.

Ok we got a real cheap deal for our one night at the end of our Italy trip but we got good value. The rooms were clean and spacious, not far from the town. Breakfast was good. The service was excellent. And a really beautiful town. If you want someonewhere decent just to lay your head that's good value this is a good choice. Basic but good.

Part of why we loved Perugia

The staff here was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean and spacious. In fact, we kept increasing our nights here because it was easy to get around by walking to town or taking the bus in. The last day, we had to leave early in the morning, and the night staff person was going to take us up to the bus stop with our bags to save us the walk up the hill stairs, but then actually took us all the way down to the train station. We would definitely recommend this to someone else. They served a very nice breakfast daily, too.

Stayed in this hotel as it had decent enough recommendations from other travelers, but our visit was ruined by the inflexible, overbearing attitude of the management who clearly wanted to take ever last euro they could from their guests.

Pero particularmente 2 personas nos ayudaron mucho ya que veníamos a dejar a nuestro hijo en la universidad y recibimos por parte de Leo en recepción la mejor atencion, sus indicaciones y recomendaciones fueron muy valiosos para nosotros. L hotel si presenta in buona posizione, tranquillo, con parcheggio privato, a due minuti di auto dal centro di perugia (15 min a piedi). Purtroppo il positivo finisce qui. La struttura è molto vecchia, la prima camera assegnataci non aveva aria condizionata, la moquette e rovinata e il mobilio vetusto (addirittura un boiler in bagno). Alla nostra richiesta di essere spostati siamo stati sistemati in una camera simile ma almeno dotata di aria condizionata. La colazione è anonima cosi come la sala bar dove si tiene. Il vero problema è proprio la struttura in se che davvero ha bisogno di una ventata di nuovo. Anche la pulizia lascia a desiderare, abbiamo dovuto chiedere piu volte che venisse pulito il bagno... Insomma esperienza negativa. Alla fine per scusarsi dei vari problemi non ci hanno fatte pagare la tassa di servizio..

El hotel está relativamente bien ubicado. Primero nos dieron una habitación con alfombra, aroma a encierro. Mi señora lo hizo notar e inmediatamente nos cambiaron a una habitación renovada, con piso flotante. El personal muy atento, el desayuno bueno. Volvería a alojarme, pero aclararía antes que se sea en una habitación renovada. Para un tres estrella está bien. Nos molestó mucho que para conectar Wi Fi había que ingresar con redes sociales y dar el teléfono y responder otras preguntas. No lo hicimos, no corresponde.

Camere spartane con arredo minimalista anni Ottanta, entrando la percezione è di vecchio. Il bagno a incastro è talmente concepito male che per usare il water bisogna spostare la cabina doccia. Colazione anch’essa minimalista, pochissima scelta con prodotti veramente modesti, una su tutti in sostituzione della Nutella un’anonima crema spalmabile alla nocciola. Personale di sala distratto. Veramente garbati i concierge ma non basta, con lo stesso budget si possono fare scelte diverse per qualità complessiva del soggiorno

Ormai è una garanzia, arrivi a Perugia lasci l'auto nel comodo parcheggio, gentilissimi alla reception con tutte le informazioni di cui hai bisogno, prendi la camera, bella pulita e comoda, in dieci minuti a piedi sei in centro , oppure ti mettono a disposizione la navetta. Ottima colazione la mattina, il ristorante purtroppo anche stavolta non ho potuto provarlo, ma a giudicare dalle persone che cenavano si dovrebbe mangiare bene..

Soggiorno piacevole soprattutto per il personale

Hotel in posizione strategica molto vicino al centro, le camere pulite così come il bagno. Colazione e cena ottime. Personale sempre molto gentile e disponibile (anche per delle piccolezze, come prestarci degli ombrelli di cui non eravamo forniti). Prezzo onesto. Unica piccola pecca la doccia non si chiudeva ermetica.

Hotel situato a 20 minuti a piedi dal centro, camere abbastanza pulite e confortevoli e silenziose. il personale dell'hotel veramente gentile e disponibile. Lo consiglio a chi non ha grandi pretese.

Rauhallinen ja ystävällinen majapaikka

Palvelu hotellilla oli erittäin ystävällistä. Huone siisti, ja 4. kerroksesta oli pääoven puolella hieno maisema Perugian kukkuloille. Hotellin huoneissa oli näytteillä vaikuttavia valokuvia.

Hotellilta voi kävellä kaupungille, jos on hyväkuntoinen, mutta muussa tapauksessa kannattaa turvautua hotellin kuljetuksiin, ja sopia etukäteen jo paluu samasta paikasta, johon hotellin minibussi jätti.

Päivällinen kannattaa varata vastaanotosta illaksi (alkaen 19.30). Ruoka on hyvää, eivätkä juomatkaan ole kohtuuttoman hintaisia, vaikka lähellä ei muita ravintoloita kilpailijoina olekaan.

Albergo senza troppe aspettative. Nel complesso buono ma ha bisogno di un totale restyling, siamo fermi agli anni 80. Ideale per chi si accontenta e vuol spendere poco. Personale molto cortese e disponibile, pulizia impeccabile. Peccato che il servizio navetta per il centro chiuda alle 18; un po complicati gli spostamenti.

Soggiorno meraviglioso

Hotel molto pulito e confortevole. Abbondante la colazione! Non distante dal centro storico di Perugia, anche se l'hotel dispone di una navetta che in 5 minuti ti porta al centro gratuitamente!

Ottima struttura posizionata a circa un km dal centro. Bus navetta gratuito fornito dall'albergo. Colazione eccellente. camere pulitissime e ottimi servizi. Da consigliare.

L'hotel è situato in una posizione molto tranquilla, circondato dalla natura e a noi questo è piaciuto moltissimo. Il centro storico è raggiungibile a piedi, con una bella passeggiata: magari per chi ha problemi motori le scale prima e la camminata poi potrebbero non essere il massimo, ma l'hotel è dotato di servizio navetta (che non abbiamo utilizzato e quindi non sappiamo valutare).
L'esterno dell'hotel è un po' \"grezzo\", con mattoni rossi a vista, ma l'interno è accogliente, sia negli spazi comuni, sia nelle camere.
La camera era confortevole, il materasso davvero comodissimo: forse il bagno un po' piccolino, ma pulito.
Con il senno di poi, sceglieremmo la formula \"mezza pensione\" perché la cena all'hotel è stata davvero OTTIMA! Complimenti allo chef e alla signora che ha servito ai tavoli quella sera: non sappiamo il suo nome, ma ci ha detto di essere originaria dell'Ecuador. La sua gentilezza ci ha fatti sentire come a casa.

soggiorno Hotel Ilgo Perugia

Siamo stati con mia moglie e mio figlio in questo Hotel dal 16 al 18 gennaio 2016 e ci siamo trovati molto bene.
L'Hotel è un pò datato ma è molto accogliente.
Il personale gentile e cordiale.
Abbiamo mangiato benissimo al ristorante dell'Hotel.
Per la seconda sera ci hanno fatto mangiare al Ristorante \"Il Paiolo\" e devo dire che è stato tutto ottimo.
La camera abbastanza grande e con climatizzatore.
L'unica pecca era il bagno con doccia, in quanto non era riscaldato e per farti la doccia ti gelavi.
Nel complesso è stato tutto molto bello e ci ritorneremo.
Un grazie particolare al Direttore e a tutto lo staff.

Forse il soggiorno è migliore d'estate

Abbiamo sofferto il freddo in camera. L'impianto di riscaldamento per l'inverno è inadeguato. La navetta ha orari ridotti e chi non ha gambe buone fatica a raggiungere il centro città.
