An excellent family-run hotel, and very central.

I was fully pleased with my stay in Morlacchi. A relaxed and friendly family hotel, very willing to help and advise. The breakfast was substantial and varied. Also, the Hotel couldn' t be more centrally located. I would return there with the greatest pleasure.

A beautiful old hotel only 5 minutes walk from the main square in Perugia and run by a lovely family; they were very friendly and graciously offered to store our luggage when we showed up two hours before check-in. They have a beautiful collection of artwork throughout the hotel and a lovely dog too! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Friendly hotel!!!

Perugia is fantastic and I want to go back and explore more. This hotel was the best place we stayed in Italy. It seems to be family run and everyone is so nice and helpful. The hotel is in the center of the historic area and is an easy walk to many sites. Michele was especially helpful with recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. We really appreciated all that he offered. I highly recommend this hotel.

What a great location! Right at the top of the hill in the old town, this is more a B&B than a hotel, with a great family running it and ready to make it fun for you from A to Z! GrandMa is there watching TV, Mom and Dad are busy making sure everything is going well, and Michele (pronounce Me-keh-leh - it's a he!) is full of laughs and good humor, with great English, to ensure that you get what you need, and you know exactly where to go, with details that will make it easy for you! Beware that parking is not easy in the old Perugia, but Michele will help you with this - as well! Go for it, you're in for a happy time, with Assisi just a few miles away! And Assisi doubles the magic! It's an awesome and emotional place. You'll come back with many stories to tell!

Wonderful stay!!

Wonderful hotel!! Amazing location and run by a really nice family! We had a rental car and if we ever had trouble with finding a parking spot, they would come outside with us and help us find a spot. Highly appreciated!! The breakfast was nice and varied, the room very good!! And the cutest dog! Highly recommend this hotel for visitors to Perugia!

QUAINT & COSY HOTEL IN HISTORIC CENTRE

Absolutely lovely hotel, reasonably priced, well located in the historic centre and a wonderful family who runs it. Upon arriving Signora Lorianna was most helpful to us as she recommended various restaurants and sights when asked. The room was well appointed, with comfortable beds and very clean. Michele (the son), who speaks fluent English, was extremely helpful, hospitable, informative and most of all, warm. The Continental breakfast was plentiful and the coffee was delicious. Couldn't have asked for a better hotel in this breathtaking picturesque town. A flawless experience, a 5 star stay!

We loved this place so much we stayed 2 more days. The family is so helpful & friendly. Breakfast was good,cafe,yogurt, breads. Rooms very comfortable. The location can not be beat, easy walk to everything. They were very helpful with parking, right out front.

The perfect hotel for Perugia

The hotel is close to the main central areas and also close to the banks of escalators which go up and down the hill. They end at a mini-metro station (Google it!) which goes farther down the hill to the main train station. Thus, it's incredibly handy for getting up the (considerable) hill to town with luggage quickly and easily, plus the easy access to the train station makes visiting other hill towns in the area a cinch, while using Perugia as a base.

We thought the hotel was perfect. The hotel is run by a family who are charming and helpful and endlessly good-natured. Breakfast includes a pitcher of blood orange juice which is incredibly delicious and really gets your day off with a zing. The room was always immaculate. We also happened to notice an extremely snazzy laundromat just to the north of the Cathedral, which could be very handy for those travelling light. Endless numbers of great restaurants with delicious, reasonably priced food are nearby, and of course, those spectacular vistas out over the surrounding countryside.

The room was small but very comfortable, apparently recently redone, the family that runs the hotel was very friendly and helpful. After two days we felt like they were our new friends. Breakfast was great. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful place to stay

My friend and I loved our stay at Hotel Morlacchi. The charming, family-owned hotel was comfortable and clean, with lots of lovely paintings & antiques. The owners were warm, generous and very accommodating, as well as very helpful with info about places to eat and sights to see. they made our stay in Perugia very pleasurable.

Hotel Morlacchi is a family run hotel and I was made very welcome and given every assistance during my time there by all members of the family.My room,though small was spotlessly clean and was cleaned every day.I sat with the 'Nonna'some evenings and got to appreciate the pride the family have in their multi-generational hotel.

Right for and in Perugia

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Morlacchi, 1 day to see Perugia and 1 day to a nearby nature reserve. Breakfast was very good, fresh real red orange juice and prepared cappucini were the highlights. One of the main jobs of the family that run the hotel is to juggle parking spaces, which they do very well. Stairs, room and bathroom are a tight fit. Excellent recommendations on nearby restaurants - very friendly and helpful staff. Interesting works of art throughout. For the price and location, I don't think you can do better.

14 days of serenity.

A warm and friendly hotel with lots of contemporary art on the walls. The breakfasts were amazing and some days I was unable to have another meal. Only a minute away from the historic centre, being the medieval piazza Novembre IV. Bathroom and bedroom in emmaculate condition and lovely curtains and bedspread. The owners and their family helped me navigate the various modes of transport and encouraged me to browse through their small library. I will definitely return!

Great location, centrally located with parking directly in front of the location. The owner and her son were extraordinarily helpful, made every attempt to please and man, can she cook! The hotel itself was a little tired and aging - but fairly comfortable. Fine for a 1 or 2 night stay.

Very pleasant stay

The hotel is 5 mins from the main city square but still in a quiet area. Rooms are small but nice and very clean. Bathrooms look like they have been recently upgraded. Breakfast simple and very good. The thing that is worth mentioning most is that the people in reception always done their best to accommodate, very nice and friendly bunch. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Excellent value at this central hotel

I stayed just for one night, but was very happy with the central location, the warmth and friendliness of the staff and the room I was given, even though this was at the top of the building and I didn't see evidence of a lift. Breakfast was more than adequate and I would recommend this hotel to those looking for a fair price, good service, convenience and location rather than luxury.

All was satisfactory except for 1.the size of the shower ( impossible to wash and rinse properly as you could not bend or move as the shower was midget size),2. the old, dirty and smelly blanket on the bed ( these blankets should not be used in hotels any more. They are outdated and you can never be sure they are clean. Fresh, white doonas are the way to go), 3. the dark, coloured, patterned bedspread ( again, you can never tell whether these are clean. white fresh bedlinen should be used.) 4. worst of all, the sickening smell in the hallway, reception and stairwell. The windows should be thrown open, the smoking should stop, and the filthy carpet squares on the stair landings should be thrown out and the stairs thoroughly cleaned. The smell was so revolting I had to block my nose. Fortunately, it did not permeate into my room. Apart from that, the owners were very nice and so I didn't have the heart to tell them about the smell. But they really should be told as it is very bad and distracting.

Nice family-run hotel. Close to university

Hotel Morlacchi is a quaint family run hotel in a prime location of Perugia for the University and the center of town. Many local restaurants in the area and a nice hotel for one evening. The family is very hospitable, as is their dog. Note: no elevator to get to your room, but the gentleman (brothers?) working are very helpful in aiding with your luggage. The hotel provided everything I needed as a single traveler.

This hotel is located right in the center of town in a great location. The rooms were well decorated and made you feel at home. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were well heated. The staff was very friendly and made you feel like a member of their family. I would highly recommend this place, whether for a one night or a one week stay.

sehr sauberes Zimmer, sehr freundliche Besitzer! einfache Ausstattung und einfaches Frühstück habe mich aber sehr wohl gefühlt. Parkplatz direkt vorm Haus. Zentral gelegen (5 Min zu Fuß zum Dom). Würde das Hotel bei nächstem Besuch wieder buchen!

Amabilidad extrema en hotel céntrico y confortable

La amabilidad de los dueños fué extraordinaria. Al verme mayor y que uso bastón, me subieron la maleta. Es más, como para ir hasta la habitación había unos pocos escalones, la dueña me ofreció llamar a otro hotel similar y buscarme habitación. No fué necesario, pero me pareció entrañable tanto interés por mi comodidad.
Tambien tenían otros detalles, como el tenerte preparado un mapa de la ciudad.
La mía era una habitación individual. Estaba preciosamente decorada. Dentro de la sencillez, cada mueble o cuadro tenía mucho estilo. Estuve muy cómoda.
Además está muy cerca del centro, unos tres minutos andando.
El precio, muy razonable, incluye desayuno, con zumo natural y rico croissant, junto con pan, mermelada, etc. servido en la mesa con prontitud.
Y el wifi funcionaba muy bien
Sin duda lo recomiendo y volveré si visito de nuevo Perugia.

Situato nel cuore della città, è una soluzione comoda e confortevole per chi intende trascorrere un weekend nel capoluogo umbro. Hotel a conduzione familiare, tutti gentilissimi, ottimo servizio. I luoghi più belli di Perugia a pochi passi dall'albergo. Una bella esperienza.
