The hotel is right turning the beach and walkable to restaurants. Hotel staff friendly and speak English - nothing was too much drama. Hvar is a 15 min taxi ride and the hotel have a deal with a company 18euro one way and very accessible.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Fortuna. It’s a charming, family-run hotel set in the serene village of Milna, just a short drive from the busy town of Hvar. The atmosphere was calm, the setting was stunning, and the hospitality truly stood out.
Our room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, with a balcony overlooking the peaceful bay. The views were beautiful, especially in the early morning and at sunset. It’s the perfect place to unwind after exploring the island.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful — nothing felt like too much trouble. Breakfast each morning was fresh, generous, and varied, with lots of local touches. We also had dinner at the restaurant one night and it was excellent — fresh seafood and delicious local wine.
The location is ideal if you’re looking to escape the crowds of Hvar town while still being within easy reach. The only minor downside is the cost of taxis, which were consistently €20 each way for an 8-minute journey into Hvar — a bit steep given the distance. However, the quiet and natural beauty of Milna more than made up for it.
If you’re after a more relaxed, authentic experience on Hvar Island, Hotel Fortuna is a wonderful choice.

I don’t often review but our stay here was just so incredible. You should absolutely book to stay here. They include your taxi from the port and so it was very easy to get here. The rooms had incredible blue ocean views, made for incredible sunsets. Private beach so nice and quiet compared to the main town. The staff was SO friendly. Would bring you drinks to the pool and food to your room. I can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful stay. Your own private villa on the ocean with the bonus of wonderful attentive staff. The included breakfast is amazing with a great fresh selection and property made pastries. I’d definitely stay again. In May, Transport to Hvar is 15 Euro each way. The property is spotless. Great value. Ocean front rooms are lovely.

This is a \"boutique\" hotel that is located in a small cove on the island. There is a patio on the beach for food and drinks. We never saw more than 5 people on this small \"private\" beach. Recommend highly.

The friendliness of the staff stood out for my wife and I. Beach was not too busy and was only 1 min walk away. Breakfast was nice and restaurant was very good as well. Room was clean and hotel was very peaceful and quiet. Town of Milna is small and very walkable. Only thing to be mindful of is that you need to take a taxi whenever you want to go to Hvar Old town where you will find all the ferry ports/sites/action, which can be a little expensive and inconvenient when you want to walk back to your hotel at night.
But it was also nice to be a little out of the hustle & bustle at Fortuna which is what we were looking for at this point in our trip. Overall a great stay!

Had a fabulous 3-night stay at Hotel Fortuna as part of our longer trip in Slovenia and Croatia.
The hotel is close to Hvar but on a gorgeous and much quieter bay - lovely swimming, paddleboard hire and great family restaurants very close.
The hotel itself is great, family run, lovely pool, great breakfast and really friendly staff.

Great family stay in Milna
We had a great stay. Fortuna is family run hotel. It has an Awesome setting on the beach in a little town but still just 5 min drive the Hvar town. The staff was really helpful and we were really comfy in our room. We booked a room for 3 and our daughter slept in a convertible single bed. There was still plenty of room with the extra bed which was really nice.

We had an amazing holiday from start to finish. The hotel is right by the beach and it's definitely worth booking a room with sea view. The bay is really pretty and you can hire sunbeds, umbrellas and kayaks. The hotel swimming pool is on the top floor and has fabulous views. Our room was lovely with a balcony overlooking the bay. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. Daily cleaning with restocked toiletries, tea and coffee. The fridge and aircon were really good to have in the heat. Breakfast was fabulous with a huge selection of cooked and chiller food. Freshly baked cakes and pastries by Jasmina were delicious. I can't praise the staff enough! They were all so friendly, helpful and happy to help. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday, we will be back one day x

This is a family run hotel, and this is exactly what they make you feel like, one of the family. From check in to check out, everything is done in such a lovely and efficient manner. We,were soon on first name terms with Josephina, marino, martin, dragan, and wonderful chef, yasmina. The property itself, was very nice, with beautiful views, over a very quiet and secluded beach in one direction, an unspoilt, quaint harbour the other way. I stayed with 4 friends, and we all agreed, our stay at Fortuna, was perfect and we would all love to return one day.

Beautiful place and beautiful location. Away from the crowds but only a 10 mins ride to Hvar. We didn't have a car but didn't have any problems getting transportation from the hotel, we went to Hvar and Stari Grad. Rooms were immaculate. Breakfast was delicious including the homeade pastries. Service was outstanding. Great restaurant on site. Right on the beach, and also another beach with restaurant only 5 mins walk away. Would highly recommend this place.

If i could give this place more than 5 stars I would. A fantastic family run hotel. Milna area gives you the perfect mix of quiet whilst only been a short drive away is Hvar Town. Lovely family run hotel on the beach at Milna a short 10 min drive from Hvar Town. All of the family and staff were so very helpful and welcoming, it was a real pleasure to stay in this hotel. Our room was spacious, clean, recently modernised with comfortable bed and superb bathroom, we booked a room with a great view from the balcony to the beach and sea. The restaurant food was lovely with a wide choice, other restaurants were also just a short stroll also offering good food options. Breakfast was a buffet style with plenty of choice and added bonus of eating overlooking the beach. Collection after our catamaran journey into Hvar was easily arranged and really efficient, also the return to the port as were other trips in and out of the main town. Really can’t fault what was offered as it was matched in every way and would definitely return, next time we’ll remember some shoes for getting in and out of the sea, the pebbles hurt the feet!

Wow, were we impressed and very pleasantly surprised by this hotel! The location is absolutely perfect in Milna away from the hubub of Hvar town, situated on a beautiful beach where you can easily swim and also enjoy the view of the mountains behind it. The staff are delightful - eager to help, friendly, knowledgeable. The room with the sea view is totally worth the extra money. The room was spotless, super modern, and had all the amenities you could need. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with tons of variety, and the hotel restaurant (with the most beautiful setting right next to the beach) is AMAZING for lunch and dinner. The pool area is beautiful with lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas, and you can also rent them down on the beach. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to relax, be pampered, and enjoy a quiet beach vacation.

I read a lot of great reviews, so my expectations were high. However, I didn’t find the friendly environment others described. I would say it is a family hotel, not 4 stars, far from Hvar. The beach in front is nice, and you can pay an extra fee to have sub beds. If your intention is to be in a quite place, with an “ok” service, book this. But do not expect a 4 starts hotel, so you won’t be disappointed as I was.

I'm glad that we booked a hotel in Milna which is a lovely lovely place, and they have transportation service as well which is free for the first pick up and last drop off. Great place to stay.paid extra for a sea view room which we felt was well worth it with a super view of the bay. Service was top notch with anytime car service to hvar available for a good price. What a great place, approx 7 min from the center of Hvar. At first I thought it would be an issue being out of the center but it was not a problem at all. The owners were always available to drive us in to town when needed. Being Milna is a small town I was happy to find out there were several amazing restaurants within walking distance to where we were staying ( the restaurant in the property included). The beach is just outside the door. I would highly recommend staying here you will love it.

Our room had a beautiful view of the beach. Marino & his entire family are so hospitable and make you feel very welcome. Breakfast in the mornings was delicious. also, if you are looking for transportation to-from old-town, the hotel were take you for just 50 kuna (while taxi drivers will charge 100-150 for the same trip)...You should call the hotel before you arrive on Hvar and ask them to pick you up at the port...They also offer a complimentary ride to port when you leave Hvar. Hotel Fortuna is a beautiful family run hotel on the beach in Milna. We are a family of four with two children 8 and 11. The owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful with all requests including any information, transfers to the town of Hvar, Stari Grad and other pick ups and drop offs to various places of interest at very reasonable rates. They gave us a beautiful bottle of their own wine on both arrival and departure. Our children had great chats with the family and staff and said it was their best holiday ever. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Fortuna is excellent! The Tudor family runs this wonderful hotel and they are incredibly accommodating and kind. All the rooms are clean, the views are great, and it is a nice place to stay away, just a mile or so from the main city. With a small private beach right there are great restaurants on one road, this is a gem! They offer reasonably priced transportation services into Hvar, and beach towels to use each day on the Milna beach. Food at their hotel is excellent, and breakfast is fantastic. We loved our stay and recommend this hotel to everyone.

This hotel is really great, as soon as we arrived (almost 11 pm) a friendly staff member greeted us and did our check in right away. Also because they had extra space in the hotel she ended up giving us 2 upgrades (staying in the main building instead of the annex building along with an ocean view). The room was also very clean and it looked new. The breakfast had everything you needed (my daughter is vegetarian and I'm a meet lover). The check out was quick as well. Highly recommended

This hotel is located in the lovely little Oceanside town of Milna. The beach here is one of the best one on the island for swimming and decks and umbrella can be rented. The beach is directly in front of this beautiful beach and can be seen from most of the rooms. The have a lovely complimentary breakfast and a shuttle service that is a third of the price of the taxi ride to get back and forth to Hvar. So I’m love with this place and every one is so nice❤️We are definitely will be back!

We spent three nights at hotel fortuna and would've happily spent another week there. It was just he right distance from hvar away from the crowds and noise. Milna is a gorgeous town with some great beaches and amazing restaurants. The restaurant at hotel fortuna has a fantastic menu. The hotel is family run. As soon as we were picked up at the harbour in their shuttle van we were immediately happy with our choice of hotel. Every meme we of the staff, the whole family made us welcome. They were fun to talk to and enjoyed getting to know the guests. The hotel is very modern and well maintained. The rooms are very clean and very comfortable. The balcony views are fantastic. The beach out front is fantastic as well the beaches within minutes walking distance. We will be going back to hotel fortuna many times for our vacations. Great Spot outside the main town
This hotel was perfect. Hvar town is very busy, and gets pretty crazy in the late night. So having this hotel 10 minutes outside town was nice and relaxing at night. And they offer a shuttle service to and from town for half the price of the Taxi services. The room was nice, clean, and modern. All of the hotel staff were friendly and did everything they could to make sure our stay was great. Its even nicer being able to walk out the front door and onto a beach. The only complaint would be that breakfast was the same every morning and rather bland. However after 10 days in Croatia I can say that Croatia just doesnt do breakfast as well as I am used to so its not really the hotel to complain about. Everything else was great!
