Everything VERY good except the choice of oppressively hot room or very noisy street (located between major traffic circle and Perugia's main bus terminal. Great staff. Good beds and showers etc. Above average breakfast buffet, except for the vending machines for coffee (no staff making). Bring a travel mug if you prefer American style coffee. Their only mugs are espresso or double espresso sized, not even cappuccino size available.

The hotel is next to the entrance to the Rocca Paolina, It is a no frills hotel including the room. The room had a balcony with a view, the bed was comfortable. The best thing at the hotel apart from the balcony was the pool, which is in the basement although the usage is not complimentary.

We stayed 7 nights at Sangallo Palace Hotel. We had a room with a balcony which was a good size. The location was very convenient, close to the escalators into the city centre. Breakfast was good with a good selection of cold and hot food. The room was refreshed quickly everyday. We missed having a kettle, iron and glassware in our room. We would have liked to have used the pool and gym but they are both additional costs which is very strange when you are paying to stay at a hotel. You also need to wear swimming caps in the pool. We did not eat at the restaurant. The menu looks good but it is in the same location as breakfast is held, which lacks atmosphere. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The AC was not very effective, esp. on our side of the building, getting the full blat of the afternoon heat. Having to pay for the use of the pool and fitness centre sucks big time, it is supposed to be s 4 Star facility and I expected free use of pool and gym..😪

Great hotel, located within walking distance from the city centre. The hotel has a good gym which can be used. Parking at the hotel is very convenient if you want to rent a car and visit different places. Hotel staff were very helpful and polite.

Great location for being close to the escalators to visit the top of the city. There are no restaurants around the hotel and the bar in the lobby is tiny and was never opened. The breakfast buffet was great for one special reason...as an American I drink coffee and they let you fill a carafe of coffee for you table. No getting up and refilling a tiny coffee over and over. I would stay again

Excellent, bright, shiny, very well priced newish hotel. Very close to main historical square- about 200 metres lower , mostly on escalators, through an array of historical tunnels which would be a high priced attraction anywhere else in Italy. If coming by train, catch the excellent and novel Mini Metro from the end of platform one. Get off at Pincetto and head right and mostly downhill. The hotel is about 200 m away from the stop. Use your phone.

Our favorite hotel in Perugia! Sangallo Palace is beautiful, luxurious and conveniently located a couple of blocks from the escalators to the old town. The breakfast is extensive and amazing. The terrace is spacious and gorgeous. The staff is helpful and professional.

Lovely, modern hotel just outside of the historic centre of Perugia. Our room was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom. Onsite car parking for a reasonable fee was a very useful facility.

Unclear whose fault it was, but there was an error in the booking as communicated to the hotel: triple room for 2 instead of 4. Fortunately the hotel staff was helpful in quickly finding a satisfactory solution.

Hot room necessitates open window, noisy street
AC box on the wall is just for show - definitely didn't work when I tried to set it to 68F for sleeping. Hotels take over AC master control for \"eco\" and money-saving purposes, but c'mon! You're in the business of providing sleep! Opened the window, but there's a very noisy/busy roundabout below, so was awake all night between being hot or disrupted from noise.

I’ve been to Perugia many times and this was the best hotel I’ve stayed. It’s outside of the old city center (very close access though) but the updated rooms and helpful staff are a plus. I’ll definitely be back to Sangallo.

Unfortunately we had a medical emergency that meant we had to cut short the stay by two days, but they charged us for the full term, without any help or gesture of good will . So not happy and as it’s the third time staying, will not be going back and will not recommend.

This property is newly renovated with latest digital door lock and safe in each room. Bathroom layout a bit odd with bidet in the way of bathroom door which cannot be opened all the way. One set of towels per guest in each room. No towels in gym or pool area. You have to bring the only bath towel from your room if you want to use the pool. Quite inconvenient.

We stayed at Hotel Sangallo Palace for 5 nights while planning our wedding nearby. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Car parking is a 1 minute walk away from the main entrance costing EUR11 per day. Given the location of the hotel this was essential for us as there are no other convenient locations nearby.
The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk via the town escalators to the historical centre of Perugia.
The room had everything you'd expect although was a little dated in the decor. It was clean and everything worked as you'd expect. Room service came every day to make the bed, replenish toilet roll etc and replace towels on request.
Breakfast is average with a mix of hot and cold options. I have had better hotel breakfasts, but I have certainly also had worse!
The pool area is wanting a little - the pool itself is lined in a plastic/material liner as opposed to tile or something similar with a more quality feel. It feels a little temporary.
The room had centralised aircon, but it was limited to a minimum of 22 degrees. This may be because it was October, but with outside temperatures at an unseasonable 20-25 degrees it would have been nice to cool the room below 22 degrees.
Free wifi is available in the room and was strong and reliable enough to stream movies and work remotely.

Very conveniently situated next to the main bus station and a 100 metre walk to the travellator to the old town at the top of the hill. Room was spacious, quiet and had good Wifi. It has a pool and fitness centre to work off those extra kilos from pizzas and gelatos, Staff were very helpful with maps, guidance and suggestions.
Main train station is a 10 euro taxi ride away. Buses leave for Rome and Florence etc from practically next door. Breakfast was very satisfying with all the usual suspects present and the restaurant served a variety of dishes representing both the local area of Umbria and the greater regions of Italy.
I would stay here again and recommend it to others.
