This hotel is 1 minute walk from the subway entrance. The large public bath (hot spring) was great and the amenities (hair products, soaps, etc.) was perfect. The breakfast was not a large scale, but the quality of food was very nice.
The only issue, which can't not be avoided in any large cities like Tokyo, was that the room (with 2 beds) was very small. If you sleep in the bed further from the entrance, there is no way to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night without stepping on the mattress of your roommate. This won't be an issue if you have a room to yourself.
Overall, we really enjoyed the stay and will do it again with no hesitations.

Great hotel close to a subway station and several small bars and restaurants, quiet riverside area. Above average sized room for Japan. Much less expensive than many others yet it has a free onsen and sauna, free ice cream and free ramen suppers. Mix of tourists and local businessmen. Very comfortable bed. A bargain.

I've stayed at this hotel probably 8 times now, and I keep coming back. It's all about the onsen (spa). It's just a great experience, both morning & night. The breakfast is good, too; and so is the option for late night noodles. I hadn't stayed here since the pandemic, and now they have free ice cream! Just a great little spot in Tokyo. Not luxurious, but who cares about that with an onsen right in the hotel!

A short walk from the nearby train station and a convenient location to Ginza district. The only con was the room was VERY small and did not have any room to spread out personal items.

This is a perfect property for well seasoned travelers who are comfortable with Japanese culture and getting by without English. Rooms are minuscule but absolutely sufficient for our 1 week stay, and they provide slippers and \"hotel clothes\" for use. The onsens and Japanese breakfast were top notch. However, if you're used to Western style living or you don't enjoy fish for breakfast, this is not the hotel for you. In fact I am loath to write a review in case the hotel gets overrun with tourists. It's a train ride away from the more touristy areas and it's in a very quiet, local business district that has few late night restaurants. But if you can get around like a local and most importantly, follow local custom in the onsen and around the hotel, you'll find this hotel is an absolute gem.

My stay could not have been more perfect. I had an extremely important meeting the next day and having landed at HND that afternoon; I maneuvered to this hotel in about 40 minutes, and even with jet lag, was able to sleep like a king and grab a fantastic meal nearby (Enoteca Shin); I love this place.

A typical Dormy Inn kind of service and facility. Great staff and good n quiet location across the street from the metro. Rooms are small and the breakfast choices are limited compared to other Dormy Inns. The staff was very welcoming and nice, typical Tokyo hospitality. We recommend it for couples but probably not for families with children. The free hotel shuttle bus drops you off at Tokyo Station which connects you to just about anywhere including Haneda and Narita airports.

Tokyo trip.

It is a budget hotel, very clean. The hotel staffs are very helpful and friendly. They also provide shuttle bus to Tokyo train station in the morning. We took a train from Haneda airport and get off at Hatchobori station exit B2 or B4. There is an elevator at exit B2 but quite a bit of long walk around 2 blocks, get off from the exit and turn left, you will see the hotel. Also exit B4 which is very close to the hotel but tough if you have big luggage cause no elevator, you have to walk up the stairs. Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel. I'll be back.

This hotel has everything you wish to make your stay super comfortable. I love this brand. They have an onsen which is just what is needed after s long sweaty day in the summer. There is free tea, water and coffee all day, the free midnight soba from 9:30pm to 11pm tasted delicious. The Tokyo room was quite a tight space but to be honest I felt like it was good value. Finally the washing machines were free to use and you can get a key to lock it from reception but again you don't need to as your clothes are safe in Japan. I would definitely visit again.

I really enjoyed my time in the Dormy Inn. The check-in was very fast and the staff was very nice and responsive. My double-bed room provided enough space for a single person. I was lucky to have a room on the 9th floor with a decent view of the surrounding area. The wifi was fast and reliable. The breakfast is absolutely phenomenal. They provide a Japanese style, and a western style buffet and it is really great with a large variety of different traditional dishes. Depending on the weather you can either sit inside in the air-conditioned area, or outside next to the channel waters. And then there is the spa that really allows you to relax and enjoy the warm water. Another advantage is the very close proximity to the Hatchobori train station which allows easy access to the JR and the metro systems. There are several restaurants and small grocery stores around and you will find everything you need for your stay. I can only recommend the place.

Hit me with great disappointment about the quiet residential area around the hotel. Lack of eateries, store or convenient shops nearby. Long walk from M line metro and JR station.
Hotel furnish is a bit tired. Staff were like robots and unflexible to change into a river view room.
Breakfast was moderate but night noodle snack were strictly to one bowl per person, must be presented in person and no exception to take out to room!
Overall experience was disappointing for the branding said for Dormy Inn as an award winning hotel chain.

A Relax Hotel in the Heart of Tokyo!

Only one stop away from Tokyo Station and the hotel provides shuttle service to the Tokyo Station. The Narita Express train from Narita airport stops at the Tokyo station. It is in a very convenient location in Tokyo city.
The spa and the night noodle is so comforting.

Dormy inns are a Japanese hotel chain that makes a quality inn look like a cardboard box. Your stay at the hotels come with access to their onsen, free late night ramen, western bed options and free coffee in the mornings. We stayed at the Hatchobori location (2 blocks from Hatchobori station) and found it to more than meet our standards. Their english speaking staff were very helpful and even let us keep our bags there the next morning while we visited Yoyogi park. Our only issue was that the neighborhood, while very safe, is not really located around most of the neighborhoods or restaurants a younger visitor to Tokyo would want to see but there is a subway station only two blocks away. PS, If you're looking for a later night sushi option nearby ask for directions to Chiyoda Sushi.

Tiny but functional

Our room was really tiny (the smallest of all the 7 hotels we tried in Japan), but very functional as well (e.g. slippers have their designated place on the wall so they dont clutter the floor). I was not enchanted by the shower/sink combination (you may end up having a surprise shower when trying to wash your hands if you turn the handle in the wrong direction), but the very nice communal bath made up for it. The bed was hard, as with every other Japanese hotels we tried. The breakfast was delicious, in the form of a buffet with Japanese and western items. The location is an easy walk from Tokyo station (about 20 min).

Great hotel with a free shuttle at appointed times in the morning to get to the Tokyo station. Lovely onsen, good breakfast, but a little out of the way from any eateries or shops. This is in a business district so very little is open at nights.

To find the hotel, exit from the Hatchobori station exit B4 and the hotel is visible across the street.

Free ramen is available from 9:30-11 pm at night. Onsen on the 2nd floor was great. Free laundry facilities, but ask for the key to the washing machine from the front desk. Dryer costs 100¥ for 20 minutes of dry time

Great hotel !

Enjoyed my 2 nights' stay in hotel. In particular, was impressed with the small touches that made for a very pleasant stay. Onsen in the heart of Tokyo with natural hot spring water was a great plus point, so also the other services such as drinks throughout the day and supper at the end of the day. Shuttle service for weekdays can be more frequent than the current morning schedule only.

Nice location, easy to find. Great Onsen and bath facilities. Rooms tiny, and a little bit shabby, but nice and clean and good linens and firm bed. Wanted to stay another night, but was booked up. The breakfast was a good value and was fine with both japanese and western food. Seems to cater to Japanese tourists, so not much english was spoken, but who cares? Definitely a good place to stay

Dormy Inn is conveniently located at Hatchobori JR station. Frm Narita Airport, take the Nex to Tokyo Station, then take the Keiyo Line, 1 stop to Hatchobori. Exit gate B3/B4, some stairs to climb there. Dormy is located along the waterway, next to a police post. Look upwards for Dormy sign on a taller building.

Quiet neighbourhood with many convenience stores & several restaurants within walking distance. Disneyland is just 5 stations away on the Keiyo Line at Maihama Station. The rooms are compact but spacious enough, though the slightly bigger than super single size bed is a bit cramp for 2 adults.

However, the onsen experience made up for it. The ladies onsen is more crowded on weekends and almost empty on weekdays. After the onsen, the skin does feel silky & soft frm the nourishment of the minerals. The complimentary ramen supper was satisfying.

The only glitch about this place is that all the staff speak limited English. So do all your homework before going because nobody will understand you there.

Very good find

A very nice business/tourist class hotel in a wonderful location, about 20 minutes' walk to the fish market and the ritzy but busy Ginza neighborhood, without being embedded within it. The rooms are very small, even for Japan standards (especially the \"semi-double rooms) and even more than the small room size - the small bed size should also be considered (a double bed is not a queen). Many of the rooms do come with a Tatami mat upon which you or another person sharing the room can sleep (extra linens are 1000 yen). The best part of the hotel, however, is the natural hot spring Onsen, which the hotel provides to guests free of charge. It's clean and beautifully laid out, with separate spaces for men and women. A truly Japanese experience.

Loved staying here. Very affordable, simple and comfortable.

Location:
- Very easy to get to from Narita airport via JR and subway (Hatchobori station).
- We didn't use it but saw a few guests boarding the complimentary shuttle to Tokyo station.
- This hotel is not in a very touristy area, which we loved. Still lots to do and you can walk or take public transportation very easily.
- We like to wander and boy did we! We found ourselves walking to Ginza, the Tsukiji fish market, the Tokyo Imperial Palace, Akihabara, etc.

Room:
- The rooms are very small (2 of us stayed in a semi-double), but in comparison to a more Westernized hotel that we stayed at in Shinjuku, this hotel did a much better job with utilizing space.
- Very clean!
- Bed was a bit too firm for me, but I was so tired from exploring the city that I still slept pretty well every night.
- Complimentary wifi connection was great in our room (we were on the 9th floor).

Other:
- Free late night ramen was a yummy snack!
- We didn't checkout the onsen, but saw a lot of guests coming back from and going to it. They all looked relaxed and happy!
- The staff spoke a little English and they were very helpful. They did all that they could to provide us with directions and whatever else we needed.

We absolutely recommend this hotel.

We only stayed here for one night on our last night in Tokyo. The room was small but that is normal in Tokyo. It was very clean and smelt fresh however the atrium stunk of smoke - this was not a problem as soon as we stepped into our own non- smoking room.

It is right across the road from a train station (JR) but a long walk once inside there! It was not a problem for us.

The staff were amazing. We had a late flight out and they held our luggage the whole day after we had checked out. They also went out of their way to help us research something online when it was all in Japanese.

Overall - good stay.

Great Service

Had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The hotel provides free shuttle to & fro Tokyo Station, and yet is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Service by the staff were excellent, I was surprised when they remembered my room number when I came back at the end of the day to collect my keys from the reception. Rooms were reasonably clean and is of average size. I liked it that the provided a humidifier and air cleaner in the room.

Excellent value for your money. It has onsen, free shuttle bus to train station in the morning during weekdays n during weekends in the afternoon as well, free coffee n ramen. The rooms are rather tight, but bearable.

Quick stay on way through town

The hotel was clean & the staff was friendly. It was great value for us passing through town. It was a bit of walk to Tokyo station, but it was through a business-like neighborhood with some small restaurants. We would stay here again.
